For Whatever The Reason That Is
I lived that 'straight' and normal life.
That's right!
For whatever that was and for some does.
I also walked upon paths,
Others decided were the best and no one should pass.
That's right!
For whatever that was and for some does.
I even chose to leave my own interests behind.
To please others who had druthers to believe,
What I was born and with a choice to do...
Was a foolish move and I was a fool.
That's right!
And day and night I was laughed at too.
Then one day I awakened,
Determined to put a stamp on my identity.
That's right!
I awakened to realize my life should be prioritized,
For me.
And for whatever the reason that awakening did,
I began to witness what others sought to seek.
That's right.
I observed and witnessed in disbelieve,
What it was others sought to seek.
And it was the approval from others,
They are still attempting to get.
But somehow have not received.
For whatever the reason that is!

A real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken a new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided.

Nonviolent action does not have to get others to be nice. It can in effect force them to consult their consciences.

Fond pride of dress is sure a very curse; Ere fancy you consult, consult your purse.
To seek understanding before taking action, yet to trust my instincts when action is called for. Never to avoid danger from fear, never to seek out danger for its own sake. Never to conform to fashion from fear of eccentricity, never to be eccentric from fear of conformity.

Butts Wigglin'
The sweet sound of patent approval
comin' down in a not quite fog
The sweet sound of patent approval
comin' down in powdery sparks
The sweet sound of patent approval
comin' down with holiday concern
The sweet sound of patent approval comin'
down in a world of hurt
In my opinion the drug is ready
The warm hand of abject approval
comin' down with its' ropey veins
The warm hand of abject approval
comin' down to the fingerbowl
In my opinion the drug is ready
The cold eye of constant approval
comin' down to freeze the blood
The cold eye of constant approval
comin' down to look real close
In my opinion the drug is ready

Self Esteem And Identity Issues
Who is to say,
How someone else should be?
Or that they are not being themselves?
Especially when those claiming to be down to Earth,
Seek approval from others who also have self esteem...
And identity issues.
While those who have put a stamp on their individuality,
Are said to believe themselves better than the others...
With attempts they make to prove they seek to experience,
More than just an average existence by doing things to improve...
Their outlooks with an adventuring done to explore their lives,
Away from routine complaints and gossiping about others!

To Learn and Comprehend From Beginning to End
From whom do you seek approval,
To meet and greet what pleases you?
What satisfaction can another supply,
To a life you live with choices to apply.
From whom do you seek,
A decision to live?
When all of us have different testaments...
As life presents us our own experiences.
To learn and comprehend from beginning to end.

I Decided
I decided not to cry
'cause I know
you cannot wipe my tears
I decided not to ask
'cause I know you cannot give
I decided not to give
'cause I know you will reject
I decided not to speak
'cause I know
you will be...hurt.
I decided to decide
'cause I know....
I have to.

The truth
The truth is what we don't see
It is the innocent glace across the room
full of admiration, love and pain
Secrets,
So many secrets hidden in one glance
We cover the truth with lies of approval,
so that no one judges us,
so we fit in,
but really, People will always judge us,
we will never fit in,
We dont need their approval,
All we need in love, happiness and peace in our souls
But the truth will never be known
Because were too busy seeking the approval
of those who will never approve.

Reaction To Action
(spoken: check 1, 1, 1)
Alright
Its hard getting through to me
Im truly elusive
I got my own point of view
I am the one of a kind
And I tell you lil girl
Im fascinated by you
Theres something about you
That makes all the difference
Like the night is to day
Well I can get along without you
But I know that within you
Youve got what Im missing
And Ill find a way
To get reaction to action
Hey, say the word that would thrill me
Yeah, I need reaction to action
Just one look that would kill me
You got a way of drawing attention to you
You know you stand out in a crowd
But the way that you play
With any mans affections
Should never be allowed
See I consider myself
The one who will show you
Id go as far as to say
Girl, I aint leaving here without you
But you better understand
Theres only one rule in this game were gonna play
And thats reaction to action
Maybe like a word that would thrill me
I need reaction to action
One look that would kill me
Give me reaction to action
Its getting late Id better make a definite move
Reaction to action
And after that baby, its up to you
I need reaction to action
Just a word that would thrill me
I need reaction to action
You know what Im talking about
Give me some reaction to action
You got a look, you got a way thatll kill me
Reaction to action, reaction to action, action
Baby, dont think about it, just react
Reaction to action
Reaction to action
Reaction to action
Reaction to action
Reaction to action
Reaction to action

Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.

I Decided
[Chorus]
I decided to stay home tonite
I decided I'ma treat you right
I decided to be there for you
Decided to be on my P's and Q's
I decided to give up my friends
Decided I'ma take you out weekends
Decided to give you a reason to trust
These are decisions that I make for love
[Verse 1]
Enough is enough no more running around
(Searchin' for what's right here at home)
Because my luck is 'bout to turn around
(And I just can't keep doin' you wrong)
Girl I take it for granted that you will be here always
(Tired of this ego trip)
'Cause soon you'll be searchin' for another man
And I just can't have that happen to me
[Chorus]
[Verse 2]
Now I've had about all that I can stand no more
(I'm turnin' in my playa's card)
See I'm retirin' from the secret life I chose
(Cause I just can't keep breakin' your heart)
It was silly of me to be the way that I was
(First was blind

The Right Address
I know it's not all about me!
But that part of me that is affected by 'it'
Is going to get my many visits.
And seeking acceptance or approval
For my concern...
Is something that I've earned.
It wasn't given for me to be driven,
Into insanity
Because someone has not granted me approval...
To be me!
'God,
I don't see where they believe You are with me,
At all!
Are You sure You gave me the right address? '
