The main thing is that it's nice to see these young people - 9 to 14 years old - take the opportunity to get more involved in their health and fitness. We need more kids to be more active.

My priority is to turn people - especially kids - on to sports and being active so they don't even have to think about it being good for their health. If people participate for the fun of it, and believe me - it is fun, then fitness programs will be much more successful.

As the proud father of two teens and past Chairman to the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, I am committed to educating parents and especially young people on ways to live a long, healthy and active life.
Wait
(jack hues)
Streetcorners seem designed to lie in wait
For a chance to get involved in lovers fate
And this one seems as good as any Ive seen
So wait here with me until six-fifteen
Chorus:
Im waiting for you
But youre very late
I know youll come anyway
And I can hardly wait
Evidently
Theres a difficulty
I know youll come anyway
And I can hardly wait
Wait
I see you approaching youre the eyes of the crowd
The traffic and people, God theyre all so loud
But in a couple of moments they will all disappear
Because were ever so close when were ever so near
Repeat chorus
Punctuality
Was never much to me
Being yourself is the main thing
Forget about the time
Forget about the time
Being yourself is the main thing
The main thing
The main thing love

Ballad Of Nice & Easy
And so we ride on
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
We're coming along
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
Two of these kids grew up on the same street
And though some folks blow it, there's no smoke in their eyes
They're tying their dreams with doubled up laces
Falling, free falling, tangled up 'til they die
And so we ride on
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
We're coming along
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
'Cause everyone knows they'll get their hands dirty
Ripping at seams and smoking hot knives
But sooner or later there's an end to this candle
We'll burn it at both ends and switch on the lights
And so we ride on
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
We're coming along
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
And so we ride on
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree
We're coming along
The ballad of nice and easy
Young and carefree

Old Age, Go Away
When are we consider old?
when the years past so quickly
being a kid with no worries
to a teen with rebel ways, to parents dismay
young adult leads to a partying way
maturing thru the years to become a respected adult
responsibilities and family life changes people
before time fly, aging needs a break
for real it does, it's not fair to fly
middle aged, worn out, heading to retirement
can't wait for that day, everyone says
to tell the true I rather work, that's my pitch
getting old for the rockers and the canes
just has to stay away, I have so many things to do
see more the world, meet many people
play with the kids and the grand kids
stop that hour glass from draining
I have a lot of things on my mind
time will take my mind
the wrinkles and the gray hair can wait
same with the balding
Aging for the years can wait, oh it can wait
young and childish mind, I have
will make me feel young, well into my years
till it catches my worn broken body
Old age stay away, For I am Young

Disappointed
Our unsleepable friend
Gets the message on an ill wind
All your friends and your foes
Would rather die than have to touch you
To say the least: Im truly disappointed
Truly, truly, truly, oh...
Drank too much
And I said too much
And theres nowhere to go - but down
Young boy - I wanna help you
See these lines ? : truly disappointed
Truly, truly, truly, oh...
Dont talk to me, no
About people who are nice
cause I have spent my whole life
In ruins
Because of people who are nice
Oh, this world may lack style, I know
Each bud must blossom and grow, oh...
Young girl, one day you will be old
But the thing is, I love you now
Mmm ...
This is the last song I will ever sing (yeah!)
No: Ive changed my mind again (aaw...)
Goodnight
And thankyou

Snow in (Progress!)
We loved the snow when we were young
With friends on sledges, snowball fights,
Making snowmen, Oh what fun!
Get to school and try to find
Who can make the longest slide?
And then at school the following day
Arms in slings would come our way.
Then they brought in Health & Safety
Making fun for kids less plenty
They close the schools because of fear
Now the kids will have to catch up throughout the year
The trains would travel come what may
Getting us to work for another day
But now we have the wrong snow on lines
For trains to travel they need the right kind
I do hope we don’t get another bout
As they are running out of salt they shout
I look from my window now that I’ve retired
It looks very pretty from the other side
Although the urge still there I find
To go out and make a nice long slide
I then decide this is not a good thing
As Grandma would not look good with her arm in a sling

Golden Opportunity
(ian hunter)
The kids are ok
Theyre telling you now
But youre letting them down
Cause you just dont know how
And its a golden opportunity
Im spinning in space
Im laughing away
Your so pathetic
I can just hear them say
Its like a golden opportunity
You better hear it
See hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
Get near it
Its a golden opportunity
We reckon theyre rats
Now see how they run
My house is so common
And were dumb were so dumb
And its a golden opportunity
Scream all you suckers
Scream all you can
Im losing my bluff
Its a scam its a scam
And its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it hear it
Its like a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it hear it
Its like a golden opportunity
Alright!
You better hear it hear it
Hear it hear it
Its a golden opportunity
Hear it
Hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it
Its a golden opportunity

The Main Thing
(ferry)
Look at my hand
Theres a soul on fire
You can lead me even higher
The main thing
Everybody knows
When a good things gone
You can really turn me on
The main thing
You run through here
With your words of sand
I can nearly understand
The main thing

Certainly other things we can do, we gotta promote after-school employment, give kids an opportunity, raising the minimum wage was part of that, we can't expect that young people are going to feel they can make a living out there for such low wages.

A Peace Carrier, Sapporo's Jieitai
Ever seen an army
Taking care of trees?
Army men, all smiley
Kindly care for kids?
Searching woods and mountains
To save people's lives
Instead of filling up fountains
With blood, or give painful cries?
Come see with own eyes
Such army that rise
To melt people's hearts
With sculptures of ice.
Sweating for a smile
Sapporo's Jieitai
Works hard for a month
to show how an army
can be nice and kind.
The 62nd Sapporo's Snow Festival starts on Feb.7. All the snow for it is carried by Sapporo's Self Defense Forces. Also(traditionally) they 're to have one of the main snow sculptures on Odori park.Till a few years before had own marvellous site with huge snow and ice slides and army men (smiling) would care for every single person's ride. Thousands and thousands of kids smiled and felt warmed by the work of this army's hands.

Ain't No Nice Guy
When I was young I was the nicest guy I knew
I thought I was the chosen one
But time went by and I found out a thing or two
My shine wore off as time wore on
I thought that I was living out the perfect life
But in the lonely hours when the truth begins to bite
I though about the times when I turned my back and stalled
I ain't no nice guy after all
When I was young I was the only game in town
I thought I had it down for sure
But time went by and I was lost in what I'd found
The reasons blurred the way unsure
I thought that I was living life the only way
But as I saw that life was more than day to day
I turned around, I read the writing on the wall
I ain't no nice guy after all,
I ain't no nice guy after all
In all the years you spent between your birth and death
You know there's lots of times when you should have saved your breath
It comes as quite a shock when your trip leads to a wall
I ain't no nice guy after all,
I ain't no nice guy after all
Hey Slasher?
When I was young I was the nicest guy I knew
I thought I was the chosen one
But time went by and I found out a thing or two
My shine wore off as time wore on
I thought that I was living out the perfect life
But in the lonely hours when the moons the only light
I thought about the times when I turned my back and
stalled
I ain't no nice guy after all,
I ain't no nice guy after all

Two Young Kids
Verse1:
Sitting at the table tonight
You look so beautiful
In the candlelight
And looking at her, looking at him
After fifty years
Chorus:
I pictured you and I and candlelight
And we would look so beautiful
And two young kids
Would be wishing they were us
Verse2:
Time it is a vision unclear
Blessed with adventure and full of fear
And looking at her, looking at him
Made it seem so easy
Chorus:
Youre looking natural in my eyes
We found lifes wonderful surprise
And someday two young kids
Will be wishing they were us
Bridge:
Perfect love exists
Ive seen it for myself
Its not kisses and moonlight serenades
Its two people holding on to happiness
Before it fades
Verse3:
I just cannot be here without you
Darling whats this heart supposed to do
Its suddenly here crystal clear
You are the one
Chorus:
I picture flowers and me dressed in white
And you and I and candlelight
And two young kids
Just wishing they were us
