I would rather have bad things written about me than be forgotten.

Of All The Poems I Have Written And Forgotten
OF ALL THE POEMS I HAVE WRITTEN AND FORGOTTEN
Of all the poems written and forgotten
Are there any worthy of remembrance?
I go on losing my poems as I make more of them-
The same old story
The future calls
And the past is forgotten
And all futures
Become past.
When will I learn to remember
My own work?
To cherish it
As I do that of others?
Line after line
Racing into the distance
Of a never- to- be – known
And forever forgotten
Unreality.

Youve Forgotten
Youve been passed around from hand to hand
Cast upon the darkest sands
Now youre so confused that you can hardly stand
Forgotten, youve forgotten now youre on the run
Forgotten, youve forgotten
How to live beneath the sun
How to live beneath the sun
Before you left I thought I knew
That you would always need me too
I never thought someday, that Id be telling you
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
The things you used to feel
Forgotten, youve forgotten
How to smile for real
How to smile for real
And for the changes you have made
Your beauty was the price you paid
All your dreams rose up and then you watched them fade.
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
The best is always yet to come
The best is always yet to come
The best is always yet to come
And how to live beneath the sun

I Haven't Forgotten
I haven't forgotten when I meet you first!
I haven't forgotten when I greet you last!
I haven't forgotten your pretty face!
I haven't forgotten your smile and grace!
I haven't forgotten how we started chatting!
I haven't forgotten when we started dating!
I haven't forgotten our last walk together!
I haven't forgotten how I became a loser!
I haven't forgotten how it became too late!
I haven't forgotten when I understood fate!
I haven't forgotten that summer's northwester!
I haven't forgotten and won't forget ever!

For Reasons Ive Forgotten
(written by jamie ohara)
For reasons Ive forgotten now
We brought love to an end
Aint it funny how the little things
Seemed so big back then
Damn the pride that makes me want
To break instead of bend
For reasons Ive forgotten now
I lost my one true friend
Its lonely tonight
Lookin back on yesterday
Seein the fool I was
Feelin the price Ive paid
And the crazy thing about it is
I dont even remember
Who was right
Who was wrong
For reasons Ive forgotten now
We brought love to an end
Aint it funny how the little things
Seemed so big back then
Damn the pride that makes me want
To break instead of bend
For reasons Ive forgotten now
I lost my one true friend

I want to write such things as compel the admiring acclamation of the world at large, such things as are written but once in years, things subtle but distinctly different from the books written every day.

(Angry Poem) Angry Are Your Children Of Forgotten Memories
Angry are the children of your forgotten memories.
Needs become greed.
To succeed you must move past what has became another loss.
Hypnotic is a pipe dream
in which your will is fact.
It's a written contract.
Be there when it counts most.
So close
Yet so far away.
Angry are the children of your forgotten memories.
What have you created
what have you instigated.
With a sickle in your hand
you swing at me.
Full force
full impact
lack of discretion
another life lesson.
Trust no one you don't really know.
Unless your ready to let go.
Being released from it all.
A hunters knife cuts the rope.
A hammer smashes the chains.
Nothing is ever in vain.
Angry are the children of your forgotten memories.
A cut so clean.
The wound that continuously bleeds.
No matter pressure put on it.
My leukemia destroys all immunities.
Metaphorically speaking
metaphorically preaching.
Angry are the children of your forgotten memories.
Destiny does not wait or ask you how you want it.
It just goes
flows threw all our veins.
Even with the the greatest change.
We still are powerless over it.
We continuously fight it
deny it
but only a fool can not see whats right in front of them.
It is what we have become right or wrong
It's who we are.
As much as we choose it.
We still have no control over it.
Angry are the children of your forgotten memories.
You say this is it,
then must have always been it.
From the beginning.
It's written in invisible ink.
Some fortunes can't be told
They have to be lived.
One day I'll understand what the draw was
but at this time
It's nothing but angry are the children of your forgotten memories.

I Have Written My Life Away-Most Of What I Have Written Is Already Lost
I HAVE WRITTEN MY LIFE AWAY- MOST OF WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN IS ALREADY LOST
I have written my life away-
Most of what I have written is already lost-
A portion of the work remains-
And who knows how long it will last?
I will try in the time left
To make it better –
But who knows
It may be like
Much of most things
Not worth keeping-
I have written my life away-
Thank God I had the time to do this.

Death of an Unknown Poet
An epic,
written by a brilliant mind
like Van Gogh,
underappreciated.
The poet dies in a squalid flat,
penniless and alone.
His lifes' work-
fantasmic verses of a visionary-
are all stuffed post-humously
into a box.
His genius,
mistaken for useless scribble,
is discarded like so much riff-raff.
It decays, forgotten.
Years pass.
The epic masterpiece alone survives
in that box filled with scraps of faded ink.
A single heart-wrenching poem,
now loved by millions,
by a now-mourned author
who's name evaporated, forgotten by time.
An epic
written by
Anonymous.

Que sera sera
When the words are flowing and written
It’s the feeling I could express
Will it be read or immediately forgotten
Will it be an anchor or scrabble of confusion?
I don’t care of those things
Que sera sera
What ever will be, will be
As long as I could be honest to myself
Que sera sera

Let it be Forgotten
Let it be forgotten, as a flower is forgotten,
Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold.
Let it be forgotten forever and ever,
Time is a kind friend, he will make us old.
If anyone asks, say it was forgotten
Long and long ago,
As a flower, as a fire, as a hushed footfall
In a long-forgotten snow.

Pure
though so many things you want
only one you really desire
though so many things you like
only one you really love
though so many things you own
only one you really protect
though so many things you know
only one you really trust
though so many things will disappear
only one never forgotten

If It Is Written
if it is written
then what shall i do?
shall i wait
till the words come true?
shall i stand
and just watch how these written things
come into themselves
like a growing lily on the pond?
things come to you
the floors make themselves under your feet
it is written
so why worry? live life
and life meets you
whatever is it
you just wait
and that is the excitement
the windows simply construct themselves
and the door opens
like hands that meet and shake you
they all say
welcome, everything is ready
and they had all been waiting
for you

Hold Hands
lovers have forgotten
how to hold hands...
and children have forgotten
the wonder of being outside.
workers have forgotten
how it feels to be appreciated.
old people have forgotten
how it feels to be needed.
everyday people have forgotten
how it feels to grow their own food.
students have forgotten
the joy of learning...
the American people have forgotten
how it feels to believe...
in equality, dignity, and hope...
how it feels to hold hands!

Vampyres
there are things you don't know about
things that go unseen
things that chill our very soul
things that muffle our screams
there are things that hide behind us
things that feed on flesh
things that try to find you
things that don't need rest........
the night may hide
what need not be seen
forgotten by the sun
only remembered in dreams
lovely killers....
stalkers of the night
children of darkness
fearing the light.

Forgotten, But Not Gone
(johnny macrae/buzz carson)
Her birthday came and went without a card, or a single I love you
On their anniversary she sat all alone at a table set for two
She tries her best to please him, but she never hears one single word of praise
She feels just like a stranger, in a home where love has seen its better days
Well hes taken her for granted
God only knows why she keeps hangin on
cause its better to be gone, but not forgotten
Than to be forgotten, but not gone
Somehow he cant remember, when hes late to even take the time to call
And even on the nights hes there she gets the feeling hes not there at all
Shes become a prisoner in that big old house where sweet love used to be
Well, its not even over but lord she feels just like a memory
Well hes taken her for granted
God only knows why she keeps hangin on
cause its better to be gone, but not forgotten
Than to be forgotten, but not gone
cause its better to be gone, but not forgotten
Gone, but not forgotten
Than to be forgotten, but not gone

Forgotten But Not Gone
Shes been good to me
Shes been as kind as a girl can be
But I get the feeling
She thinks that certain something is gone
Its the little things
Like the words to the songs she sings
Are a little different
And I can tell that Im not the one
Its just a matter of time
Forgotten but not gone
Im the invisible guy
Forgotten but not gone
It was my mistake
cause I gave less than I could take
And I never noticed
She wanted something I didnt have
And my roving eye
Drove her off to another guy
Now she doesnt see that
To keep from crying Ive got to laugh
And its so hard to believe
When I call her she turns away
Like she dont see me at all
And its so hard to believe
All that water under the bridge
Dont count for nothing at all
Its the same old line
Out of sight and youre out of mind
But I never thought that
Id see the day when she didnt care
But the jokes on me
I came home yesterday to see
Them in bed together
And making love like I wasnt there
It was a matter of time
Forgotten but not gone
I could have rolled up an died
Forgotten but not gone
Im the invisible guy
Forgotten but not gone

When I Look At The Time That I Have Wasted Years Ago
i feel like a frozen glass filled with water in the freezer
when i look back to all the years that i have wasted
doing the things where i can never put my best
because that is what father want me to be
i leave all the traces of what i love in those years
that still ask me where i am
where i live what i have been doing lately
when they heard that i am into law they all laughed
and then sighed
that is not the name that they first know me
they have a word for me
written in the poems that i once wrote
my name was lust and love all bound together
in one piece
my name was written in the cover book of the literature book
in the maiden issues
of the poetry collections of lilia and tita
i look back again and they all raise their hands back
as though to embrace me
back into their bosoms again
they are calling my name
you are poetry.please come back to us.
i know the reason why i am sad.
i have forgotten my real name.

Pain In The Guts Of The Man In The Gutter
the gutter is not the nicest place to live
all the while you are too common and unnecessary
dispensable like a woman's napkin
but you live there just the same
there is pain in your stomach
you lose your guts
and when you die they do not mind at all
all people die anyway
and always there are others who replace you
from where you are
and then you are forgotten
you try to write some things in your journal
hoping that someone accidentally reads them
and you may have justified
your having been here, for once
they have no time and they too have many things to do
always
they come and go and leave and die and then finally forgotten
like nothing is really significant in this world
just like them
and you
and so why bother, why?

I Don't Understand A Sunset I Just Watch It
as i sit on the white sands on the beach
watching another sunset
i do not think
of the sunset
i just watch it
and be amazed about the changing of the hues
and then the darkness
and then the moon and stars that come
like a change of a number
in a program that you watch
what is it to to be understood? Tell me.
There is nothing to be discussed and written like a thesis
these things are
meant to be seen and felt and then forgotten

Take a word and wrap a poem around it
Take a word and…
Wrap a poem around it
Take a precious phrase
And weave it within
Take profound prose
And allow it to abound in it
Take pride in what you’ve written
And what you’ve written…Will be read
again and again
What better legacy could one leave
Than words that last forever
Just Take a word
and wrap a poem around
And you’ll be forgotten….
never
