Lost Freedom
For those who don’t already know
This poem is not going to glow and flow
It lost its freedom years ago
Guess who dictates how the current theme goes
Arise, Arise!
Freedom is nice
Yet freedom itself comes with a price
Hence the never-ending sacrifice
After years of people giving up lives
Assisting us with out struggle to survive
To end slavery, to gain independence & to acquire autonomy
We have become the latest kind of slave, a slave of technology
Our phone conversations are listened to
Yet there is no one you can sue
Technology is watching us from cameras & satellites
Taking away our precious privacy rights
Freedom of speech, to those I outreach
Does not exist, I teach
Say the wrong things and you will be impeached
So whilst we have taken
One step forward,

A day to be immensely proud about

Independance Day
Well she seemed all right by dawn's early light though she looked a
little
worried and weak. She tried to pretend he wasn't drinking again but
daddy
left the proof on her cheek. and I was only eight years old that summer
and I always seemed to be in the way so I took myself don to the fair in
town on independence day.
Well word gets around in a small, small town they said he was a dangerous
man. But momma was proud and she stood her ground, she knew she was on
the
losing end. Some folks whispered some folks talked but everybody looked
the other way and when time ran out there was no one about on
Independence
Day.

Spirit of Independence
I, am the Spirit of Independence.
Long before I was known, I existed.
I was born and reside in the air.
On wings of all winds I fly free.
I am immortal and unconquerable.
At times, subtle ‘n’ soft, fleeting.
Gentle, silent as a summer’s zephyr.
Others, rampant as a gale’s fury.
Infectious to all I caress.
Upon me, many have attempted,
to impose their wills.
Successful, only at inviting failure.
In the hearts of free peoples, I thrive.
Those who endure, under tyranny’s rule,
I infect with rebellious paragons.
Souls desiring independence and freedom.
I search out to liberate from their shackles,
all who envision a free life I influence.
To pursue their dreams I encourage.
In all free lands I dwell,
abiding, in the hearts of those craving liberation.
To souls fleeing despotism, my doors are open.
Within each, I instill the will to resist enforced domination,
diabolic temptations, disguised by false promises.
The flame of Liberty’s torch, a beacon to freedom.
At America’s gates I am present.
Joyously, I shout a welcome to newcomers.
From those who walk a path of malevolence.
Should my adopted, now free charges,
suffer threat or intimidation.
My warriors shall bare, girded sword’s points in defense.
Those who attempt to oppress shall be conquered,
and driven from Freedom’s portal.
They shall be forced back to the shadows and shrouds,
from whence they craftily emerged.
Grasslands to remain fertile plains,
to yield bountiful harvest to accommodate all.
Warriors of independence shall ensure.
The wills of the people will not be subverted,
by alien forces and determined oppression.
Freedom to never succumb to domination,
or rule by dictatorship.
This I vow, for I am the Spirit of Independence.

Freedom and Beauty
It is a beautiful mind to feel free.
It is a beautiful feeling to set someone free.
Freedom is the hard statement to get.
Freedom is the only feeling to get.

Freedom is the statement that shows your independence.
Freedom is the power that shows your right.
But while speaking of almost 7 billion individuals on the earth
At least 7 billion needs and rights that might complicate their life.

Showing his independence might be more important for some people.
Feeling responsible for others may be more important for other people.

To be honest with you, i never felt free,
Because I didn’t know what it is.
After I realized what freedom is,
I saw how hard to recognize that you are free.

Dawn was grey, overcast, this Independence Day
A comment on how we treat independence and freedom now?
The freedom of the wolves to live, the polar bears to thrive
The freedom of a conflicted people to fight for the government they choose
Without the boots of our young men and women insisting on our choice
You can have the kind of freedom we dictate
As long as you do it our way, we will be your kindly uncle
We will smile and pat you gently on your head
Until you choose a way different from your kindly uncle's demands
Then the boots will return to stomp you into our way
