He is very upbeat but we hear that all the time from just about any athlete.

The athlete of today is not an athlete alone. He's the center of a team - doctors, scientists, coaches, agents and so on.

If we carry on filling up the calendar, we keep on pushing the athlete, we shorten the athletes longevity. The risk is to shorten a career that could have lasted 10 years because the athlete is burnt out.

She Is Everything
She Is Everything
Written by: Wilfred Mellers, Sunday, April 10,2011, @ 11: 23 AM
With a voice sounding so sweet
She said please come, have a seat
She so slender, tender, and petite
Her looks no other can compete
When I come home her beautiful smile always greets
Wonders and merriment's given under the sheets
A gift from god for she is an absolute treat
My love she will never ever deplete
She keeps herself so really neat
Her personality always bright and upbeat
Always the lady when she’s on the street
Even though she always brings the heat
Modest, humble, and continuously discreet
She moves and grooves to her own beat
She makes me run as if I am an athlete
Over hot coal for her I’d walk bare feet
A tasty pastry so delightful and ready to eat
Wholesome reminiscent of whole-wheat
Never she full of conceit
What we have is truly concrete
She’s now my very heartbeat
Preordained for we were distant to meet
My vow to her to never mistreat
She has made my life so complete

The Great Nations Of Europe
I read a book by Alfred Crosby called European Ecological Imperialism. It sounds awful, but it was great. It was about how everywhere Europeans went in the world, their diseases came along with them and killed the native peoples. ";They got TB and typhoid and athlete's foot Diphtheria and the flu."; They got all of them. Except for athlete's foot - I had to contribute something other than what was in the book.
I'll admit to a certain anti-imperialism. I've got stock and yet I root against the stock market every day. I just can't help myself. I'm constitutionally a Cubs fan. I've always rooted for the underdogs, and usually they lose. You know why? 'Cause they're the underdog.

ASonnet- Man's Quest
Our every desire might not be fulfilled
Enjoy the journey, to your destination.
Even if you feel life is far from idyll
Must go on with a positive affirmation.
Never give up on your dreams and carry on
The mask you don should just never slip down.
Say your prayers in earnest every morn,
Hopefully; go through life without a frown.
When it gets rough take one day at a time,
Be kind to yourself, don’t pity or condemn.
Surrender to him just before bed time,
Remain upbeat, even if you have to feign.
The turmoil starts man’s search for meaning,
It was God’s intention from the very beginning.

You Are
There have been times,
That I have wished,
That I said more.
Spent more time,
Telling you how I feel.
This is coming from my heart.
I am being real.
I have gotten my words together.
It seems like it took forever.
To say the right words,
So you will know,
Well here goes.
You are like a strong heartbeat.
The words in your dictionary,
Are all upbeat.
Positively,
Believe,
In your dreams,
You will see,
Absolutely,
This is how,
I see you.
You have won my heart by far.
It is all because of who you are.

I Cant Hear You
(goffin / king)
Here you are again
Tellin me youre sorry, baby
Tellin me you want to come a-back home
Where you belong
There you go again
Lying and allibiing
Singing that same old worn-out song
Here it comes now, hey
(Im sorry, baby)
I cant hear you no more, no, no, no, no
(Im sorry, baby)
Well, Ive heard it all before
(Im sorry, baby)
You aint reachin me, no how, no way
No time til doomsday
Cant hear you no more
Cant hear you no more
You walked out on me
Once too often, boy
And I aint takin no more of your jivin
Thats the truth
I aint about to let you
Run me into the ground
This girl aint throwin away her youth, no how, hey
I cant hear you no more, no, no, no, no, no
Well, Ive heard it all before
You aint a-reachin me, no how, no way
No time til doomsday
Cant hear you no more
Cant hear you no more, oh, no
Just a little bit higher
Yeah, all right
Yeah, yeah, all right, now
You aint reachin me, no how, no way
No time til doomsday
Cant hear you no more
Cant hear you no more, all right
A-just a little bit louder, yeah
I cant hear you no more, yeah
Oh, I cant hear you no more
I cant hear you no more
I cant hear you no more, no, no, no
I cant hear you no more, all right
I cant hear you no more, no, no, no, no, no
I cant hear you no more, all right now
I cant hear you no more, no, no
I cant hear you no more

Time O' Clock
Takes your life upbeat like roller costar rides
Makes your life offbeat like waves and tides
Time gives you seasons of cheers and joyfulness
Time gives you reasons for tears and sorrowfulness
You see darkness around; time shows you the ray of hope
You see yourself break down; time helps you to cope
Brightest of days you will see; the darkest of nights you will witness
With time you will swallow failures and you will taste success
Time teaches you the principles and philosophies of life
Time teaches you to play with a toy as well as a knife
Time eases all the things and lets all the wounds heal
With time things conceal themselves, with time things reveal
As you will grow, time will unfold the colors of relations
As time will grow, you will unfurl your own perceptions
For everything that has to happen, time is pre set
Things ensue only at the set time, neither early nor late
To perceive the time game, arm poise and patience
To embark upon the mighty time, attest insistence
Time is what we all want the most
Time is what we all tend to use the worst
Time is the most incalculable thing that can ever be spent
If you lose time, you will be left, only to repent
Punctuality is the bandit of time whether pain or gain
Strike at the right time coz lost time is never found again
