But people who think they can project themselves into deafness are mistaken because you can't. And I'm not talking about imagining what a deaf person's whole life is like I even mean just realizing what it is like for an instant.

Forgiveness (Realization)
forgiveness is the energy
of realization...
realizing, the person you're
mad at or hurt by is just an
extension of yourself, another
part of you. realizing, the act
they've committed against you
is just a human act, whether
done on purpose, or without
thinking... realizing, that you
commit similar acts in your day
to day existence...
realizing, not forgiving, holding
on to the anger and pain, only
hurts you yourself! it becomes a
form of prison, self-imposed...
realizing, the mistake is not the
person!
forgiveness, the realization of
freedom in relationships!

On His Deafness
'Speak up - no need to shout -I'm not THAT deaf! '
- do I have real reason to complain,
if years of partial listening have brought
now partial hearing in their fateful train?
O Milton - isn't it curious: the blind
evoke our instant feelings of compassion -
while deafness calls some idiot state to mind,
evoking, far from pity - irritation?
Those saintly mystics would just praise their God
that He, to speed their simple saintliness,
brings outer deafness so that inner Word
in cloistered silence, bring a greater bliss...
So may I bear affliction in good part
and hope to hear the louder in the heart.

Impossible Of Me
Do blind people have fun
What do old people do on a Friday night
How do deaf people enjoy music
What do paralyzed people really feel
We complain about things in life
Not realizing others have it worse
So what if I'm broken hearted
It's not the first and not the last
I have a bed and a roof over me
I'm healthy and my body functions well
I may not have love
But it's not impossible of me
To live life for what it's worth
Maybe to be perfect
You need a flaw
If that's the case, we'll go beyond perfection
Then the paralyzed people will stand
Old people will feel young again
Deaf people will enjoy the sounds of music
Blind people will finally view life
The word impossible will not exist.

Think you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then, what deafness may we not all possess? What senses do we lack that we cannot see and cannot hear another world all around us?

People Always Talking
People always talking, voices never quiet,
Talking over beauty, messing with delight,
Gossiping their lives away, caught up in the lies-
People talking years and years, until they finally die.
People always fighting, people never still,
People never happy; going at it with a will.
Never satisfaction, or noting what they feel,
Taking what is not theirs, compunctionless to steal.
People in the graveyards, finally at rest,
Never realizing, that it was for the best;
People with no destiny, done with all their tests-
People with their last breath, that never could confess.

Hearing he hears not. He is deaf to entreaty. [Aliter., To feign deafness.]
Every Angle
I'm imagining your frame
every angle
and every plane
I'm imagining your smell
the one that mingled with mine
once upon a time
thoughts of you
are picketing my brain
they refuse
to work such long hours without rest
in unstable conditions at best
they're out there every day
holding up there signs
and thoughts of no other man but you
could possibly get through
the picket lines
to enter into my mind
I'm imagining your laugh again
the one you save for your family
and your very
close
friends
I'm imagining the way you say my name
I don't know when
I'm going to hear it again
my friends can't tell
my laughter from my cries
someone tell this photograph of you
to let go of my eyes
I'm imagining your frame
I'm imagining your smell
I'm imagining your laugh again
and the way you say my name

I Flipped A Coin And It Landed On It's Side
Crazy people
who think themselves to be sane
crazy people
all around me....they are everywhere
speaking.....writing......conjecturing
a virtually endless and painful jeremiad
filled with lament and needless regret
that they see and they read.....
but fail to hear the dissenting word
interpreting it all as our fate
while they......deaf from rhetoric
and blind of the truth...
have mistaken me....for one of them
my worst nightmare.....
crazy people thinking that I give a damn
crazy people
maniacal and unglued
look around...do you see them too?
they out number us by many
and most of them vote
drive cars and write poetry
what to do?
we must try to blend in
or risk detection
only when we are no longer mistaken....for one of them
can we be who we are
What lunatics we all must become in order to survive

Deaf Sentences
Deaf sentences cause the refrain,
“There’s failure to communicate, ”
which people who’ve been checked complain
when stymied by a dumb stalemate.
We ought to wonder who’s the cause
of silence in this failure? We
should, when we sense the silence, pause
and ask ourselves if it could be
the problems of our failure to
communicate. We often see,
but do not hear, when we pursue
our own agendas, sentencing
ourselves and those whom we ignore
with deafness, carrying a sting
that’s worse than wasps, and hurts much more.
Inspired by Michiko Kakutani’s review of “Deaf Sentences” by David Lodge (“Hearing and Dreams Both Fading, ” NYT, October 10,2008) :
The title of David Lodge’s latest novel, “Deaf Sentence, ” is, of course, a play on words, and there are many others scattered throughout these pages: “Deaf and the maiden, ” “Deaf Row, ” “I had not thought deaf had undone so many.” And for Mr. Lodge’s sad-sack,60-something narrator, Desmond Bates, who is losing his hearing, deafness is a kind of death — a symptom of mortality, a constant, embarrassing reminder of his aging body and diminishing hopes. After a couple of lackluster novels, Mr. Lodge is back to form: if “Deaf Sentence” lacks the uproarious academic satire found in “Changing Places” and “Small World, ” it nonetheless showcases the author’s ability to use sympathy and slapstick humor to create an appealingly hapless hero and to recount his adventures with Waugh-like verve. The humor is more muted here, not least because his hero is grappling with sobering matters like an ailing parent, a stale marriage and the frustrations and disappointments of advancing age, instead of the sort of career woes and sexual misalliances faced by Mr. Lodge’s earlier heroes. Indeed the novel occupies a similar place in Mr. Lodge’s career as “Exit, Ghost” does in Philip Roth’s, and “Villages” does in John Updike’s: the book is a veteran novelist’s meditation on aging and death and the diminution of youthful dreams.

Talkin Talkin
Talking, talking
It doesnt really matter
If you know my name
It doesnt really matter
If you see things the same
As I do
It doesnt even matter
If Im tied and tense
It doesnt even matter
If Im still making sense
Over you
Im just talking, talking
Talkin, talking
Cos Im only talking, talking
Talking, talking
It doesnt matter
What the people
All around you say
Be careful how
You listen
They dont know you
The way that I do
And if you wanna
Talk about it baby
Thats alright
Its better if I say it
Than to sit down
And write it to you
Im just talking, talking
Talkin, talking
Cos Im only talking, talking
It can be that
Youre here with me
When Im standing out
On my own
The words of love
That you gage
When we were alone
It doesnt matter
If you want to
Rock and roll all night
I know youre gonna
Be there when the
Feeling is right
The feeling is right
The feeling is right
Im just talking, talking
Talkin, talking
Im just talking, talking
Talkin, talking
You know Im just
Talking, talking, talking, talking

What Of The Person Remains?
WHAT OF THE PERSON REMAINS?
What of the person remains?
For tens of thousands of years
Not even a bone.
For a few thousand
For a few a name and a story,
And for most, dust and nothingness.
But then
Portrait and family history
Photographs and then films
Clips of a life.
And now more and more detail
Everyman immortalized in each tweet and twitter
Eternity in an electronic file.
And yet with all this
With all the remnants and reminiscences
With all the recorded interviews
With all the tons and tons of information
Gathered around each name
What of the person remains?
All these images and information
All this non-erasable digital paradise
Has not made one single human being
Breathe again with the full breath of life.
The person does not remain
No matter how many memories and how much information
Is left behind.
Death is not defeated yet
As we record and record and record
Every passing instant and action
Of what one day in an instant
May all suddenly disappear.
We will forever be unable to do-
What only God
May do for us.

Under a Cloudless Sky
I awakened one day,
And it was like a new beginning!
Wanting life the way I wanted.
Realizing I did not have to accept
Anyone's reactions
To 'my' satisfactions!
And I smiled as I started my day.
Embracing the wind...
Enjoying 'me' all over again.
Under a cloudless sky!
And imagining the clusters,
Of diamonds I held within!

Fundamental Of Liar Chapter CXVIII: I’m Just Talking To Myself
I’m not talking to you
I’m not talking to anyone
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not grumbling
I’m not cursing
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not insane
I’m not in trance
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not mocking
I’m not threatening
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not sharing secret
I’m not hiding something
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not mad
I’m not in rage
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not jealous
I’m not envious
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not afraid
I’m not in pessimism thought
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not whining
I’m not complaining
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not depressed
I’m not in foul mood
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not blaming
I’m not accusing
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not in denial
I’m not in confusion
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not informing
I’m not warning
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not against you
I’m not rebelling
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not help you
I’m not assist you
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not running some plot
I’m not in a mischief plan
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not in great grudge
I’m not in revenge mind
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not suspicious
I’m not curious
I’m just talking to myself
I’m not saying sorry
I’m not saying thank you
I’m just talking to myself

My Prerogative
Get Busy/
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
They say Im crazy I really dont care/
Thats my perogative/
They say Im nasty but I dont give a damn/
Getting girls is how I live/
Some ask me questions/
Why am I so real/
But they dont understand me, I really dont know the deal/
about a brother trying hard to make it right/
not long ago before I really spied/
(Sing!)
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
(Tell me why)
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
Its my Per-rog-a-tive
Its the way that I wanna live
(Its my perogative)
I can do just what I feel/
(Its my perogative)
No one can tell me what to do/
(Its my perogative)
Cause what Im doing Im doing for you/
Dont get me wrong/
I really not souped
Evil tricks is not my thang/
All these strange relationships really gets me down/
I see nothing wrong with spreading myself around/
(Sing!)
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
(Tell me why)
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
Its my Per-rog-a-tive
Its the way that I wanna live
(Its my perogative)
I can live my life/
(Its my perogative)
Im doing it just for you/
(Its my perogative)
Tell me, Tell me/
Why cant I live my life/
(Live my Life)
Without all of the thangs/
That people say/
Yo Teddy, kick it like this/
O no no/
I can do what I want to do, me and you/
Together, Together, Together, Together/
Everybody's talking all this stuff about me/
Why don't they just let me live/
I dont need permission, make my own decisions/
Thats my perogative/
(What is this a Blizzard, that I cant have money in my pocket and
