~I Choose the Mountain~
The low lands call
I am tempted to answer
They are offering me a free dwelling
Without having to conquer
The massive mountain makes its move
Beckoning me to ascend
A much more difficult path
To get up the slippery bend
I cannot choose both
I have a choice to make
I must be wise
This will determine my fate
I choose, I choose the mountain
With all its stress and strain
Because only by climbing
Can I rise above the plane
I choose the mountain
And I will never stop climbing
I choose the mountain
And I shall forever be ascending
I choose the mountain

Early Works - Oneself
Men though great
can conquer almost anything
with the exception of one - himself.
No one can conquer oneself
though you can live for a hundred years
and conquer all around you.
You’ll never conquer yourself
for within
there is always something new.

Even if...you can't be mine
i conquer the world
through smiles and laughter
by the softness of the words
with the honesty of my heart...
i conquer the world
as the sky hugs the stars
as the ocean raise the pearls
as the sea nourishes corals...
i conquer the world
through advance technology
through texts and phones
through probe and satellites...
i conquer the world
but I never own the earth
i conquer the world
but I never own the universe
i conquer the world
but I never own your heart....

You Can Conquer
Don't you ever sit depressed.
You conquer,
Over things that cause you stress.
You conquer,
All the time do you best.
And conquer.
Do your best to pass all tests.
And conquer.
Off your knees you get.
And conquer.
Lift your head above your neck.
And conquer.
Decide to leave behind,
And conquer...
Every negativity there,
To upset.
And conquer!
Know you can succeed.
And conquer.
With peace of mind as your key.
And conquer.
Believe,
You can, you can, you can.
Off your knees you get.
And conquer.
Lift your head above your neck.
And conquer.
Decide to leave behind,
And conquer...
Every negativity there,
To upset.
Don't you ever sit depressed.
You conquer,
Over things that cause you stress.
You conquer,
All the time do you best.
And conquer.
Do your best to pass all tests.
And conquer.
You can, you can, you can.
Off your knees you get.
And conquer.
Lift your head above your neck.
And conquer.
Decide to leave behind,
And conquer...
Every negativity there,
To upset.
You can, you can, you can...
You can,
Conquer!

The Mountain And Us
the double cab climbs the road
for hours
our purpose is only to
see the highest
mountain in Asia
when we arrive there
it is cold
but the sun is shining brightly
the panoramic view
is clear and
accurate to the eyes
it is Li Po
drunk who is
imagining things
the mountain is not staring
at me
it is me that stares at it
i am not speechless
it is the mountain
that is speechless since
it cannot really speak
naturally
this is not an issue
anymore
it cannot be something
debatable
and then i am taking pride
talking to myself
giving my hand a handshake:
I am sane and i am not imagining things
i am seeing this mountain as it is
treating it as
it has to be
inanimate, still,
lifeless and
stuck upon its
foot
it has no feelings
and i've read
that there were times
when it was cruel
(the tour guide keeps
on talking)
taking lives of men
who want to give the impression
that they can
conquer it
when it cannot be
when it is not
and does not
know
what war is all about
in truth
all these conflicts are
simplistically speaking
man-made
and self-inflicted

Only Love Can Conquer All
(narada michael walden/s.j.dakota/p.glass)
They tell us its better
That people should stay with their own kind
Divided by colour, afraid to be hurt by the other (yeah)
What if we try talking
Well see were the same on the inside
Cant let it, cant let hatred rule
Let your love in
Only love can conquer all
Only love can break down the walls
Only love can conquer all
Only love (only love)
Only love (only love)
Oh yeah
The wheel keeps, keeps on turning
We pass all our fears to our children
Rule the playground
The lines are all drawn into colours (yes)
What if we, we try harder
What if we reach out to each other (to each other)
Cant let it, cant let hatred rule
Let your love in
Let your love in
Only love can conquer all
Only love can break down the walls
Only love can conquer all
Only love (only love)
Only love (only love)
Oh yeah
Only love can conquer all
Only love can break down these walls
Only love can conquer all
Only love (only love)
Only love (only love)
Only love
(only love)
Only love
(only love)
Only only only
Only love
(only love)
Only love
(only love)
Only love

The conqueror
I will conquer
For i am a conqueror
The enemy tried me
They became one against me
But my world was bigger and stronger
So i conquered my fears
I wiped away my tears
Oh you enemies of progress
When will you stop
Turning my glory into shame
You sort to destroy my name
But i have no one to blame
For no weapon against me shall prosper
Surly i will be the one to conquer
I will conquer
For i am a conqueror

Ordinary Days
Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just trying to get by
Just a boy, just an ordinary boy
But he was looking to the sky
And as he asked if I would come along
I started to realize
That every day he finds just what he's looking for
And like a shooting star he shines
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can
If we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
As he spoke, he spoke ordinary words
Though they did not feel no
For I felt what I had not felt before
And you'd swear those words could heal
And as I looked up into those eyes
His vision borrows mine
And I know he's no stranger for I feel
I've held him for all of time
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can, no
And if we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Please come with me
See what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee
Time will not flee
And you must be
Just a dream, just an ordinary dream
As I wake in bed
And the boy, that ordinary boy
was it all in my head?
Didn't he ask if I would come along?
It all seemed so real
But as I looked to the door I saw that boy
Standing there with a deal
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can, no
And if we walk now we will
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Divide and conquer this land
Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just trying to get by
Just a boy, just an ordinary boy
But he was looking to the sky

Mountains
Once upon a time in a land called fantasy
17 mountains stood so high.
The sea surrounded them and together they would be
The only thing that ever made u cry
U said the devil told u that another mountain would appear
Everytime somebody broke your heart
He said the sea would 1 day overflow with all your tears,
And love will always leave u lonely
But I say its only mountains and the sea
Love will conquer if u just believe (oh yeah)
Its only mountains and the sea
Theres nothing greater, u and me
Once upon a time in a haystack of despair,
Happiness sometimes hard 2 find. (yeah)
Africa divided, hijack in the air,
Its enough to make you want to lose your mind
But I say its only mountains and the sea
Love will conquer if u just believe (oh yeah)
Its only mountains and the sea
Theres nothing greater, u and me
Guitars and drums on the 1
(bobby on the drum - ah!)
Its only mountains (oh yeah) and the sea. (and the girls sing)
Theres nothing greater, u and me
[starvation]

The Winner Of This Battle
It's those...
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer.
It's those...
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer,
With a chasing away.
And...
The winner of this battle,
Doesn't ride on a saddle.
Or wear outfits,
To impress anybody they've got it licked.
The winner of this battle,
Doesn't ride on a saddle.
Or wear outfits,
To impress anybody they've got it licked.
Some do not expose,
Their woes on their sleeves.
With a showing they can be compose,
To a degree.
Although they may struggle,
With many troubles...
People like this don't deny,
They don't seek a ride to hide...
And rush away on alibis.
The winner of this battle,
Doesn't ride on a saddle.
Or wear outfits,
To impress anybody they've got it licked.
The winner of this battle,
Doesn't ride on a saddle.
Or wear outfits,
To impress anybody they've got it licked.
It's those...
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer.
Emotions we must conquer.
And the winner of this of this battle,
Are those...
Emotions that are conquered.
Emotions that are conquered.
Emotions that are conquered.
The winner of this battle...
Are those emotions that are conquered.
Emotions that are conquered.
Emotions that are conquered.

King Of The Mountain
Come on
Im gonna climb the mountain
Im gonna hit the top
I wanna go where nobodys ever been
Im never gonna stop
Im gonna reign, Im gonna shine
Im gonna beat the ground
Im gonna shoot through the night like a shot gun
Im gonna get on down, I wanna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Listen, dont try to save my soul from destruction
Im never gonna fall
Dont try to give me a piece of the action
Im gonna take it all
All the kings horses, all the kings men
Were gettin crazy again and again
Make up your mind, its time we get goin
Were gonna get on down, were gonna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Yeah, now
Oh, yeah, king of the mountain
Say it, king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain, yeah
Im the king of the mountain
And the winner takes it all, lets go, lets go, lets go

Mountain Woman
They lived together in a dirty old shack
At the edge of the black rocky mountain
And they drank mountain dew and they lived on the food
That they grew at the side of the mountain
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] down the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Mountain woman couldnt read nor write
But she knew good from evil, she know wrong from right
When the government tried to buy her water rights
Her intuition was her only guide
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] by the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Were uneducated by were happy
The civil servant used compulsory purchase
To acquire the [? ] for the nation
Theyll dig up the land, theyre gonna make a dam
And build a hydroelectric power station
And now she lives on the 33rd floor
Of a man-made concrete mountain
She got an elevator and refrigerator
And an automobile to run around in
Fast talkin lawyers from the government
Went and beat proud mountain woman down
Hey mountain woman, take your mountain man
They took your land and flood your valley
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Theyre uneducated by theyre happy

Black Mountain Blues
Old black mountain
Tried to spit in your face
Old black mountain
Tried to spit in your face
Babys grubbing whiskey
Oh shes practising ? ? ?
Old black mountain
Mean as they can be
Old black mountain
Mean as they can be
They use ground butter
Just to sweeten the tea
Had a girl in black mountain
Sweetest girl in town
Had a girl in black mountain
Sweetest girl in town
But she met a sweet black man
Then she threw me down
Well, old black mountain
Cant keep man in jail
Well, old black mountain
Cant keep man in jail
Sure to call him guilty
Judge will cry and bail
Im bound for black mountain
Me and my razor and my gun
Im bound for black mountain
Me and my razor and my gun
Gonna cut her if she stands there
And shoot her if she runs

I’ve conquered the world
To conquer the world is to conquer the mind.
I’ve conquered my mind and I’m its master.
So I could silence my conscience at will,
Imprison qualm and put to death shame.
