It disturbs me so
Everybody's gotta push me
Push me around
Everybody tryed to put me
Tryed to put me down
I messed up everyone
I've already had all my fun
More troubles are gonna come
I've already had all my fun
Oh yeah yeah yeah
Everybody try to push me

Outsider
(ian hunter)
Death be my mistress, guns be my wife
Breath is my witness and roads are my life
Just give my future's clean as a knife
Far on the way from l.a.
The sun heats the saddle, sand in my hair
Looking for water and there's sweat everywhere
Know that i'm nearer i smell damp air
I ain't tasted coffee for days
When the leaves are down i'll be southward bound
Hunters hunt the outsider.
When the wind grows cold, when the sun grows old,
Nothing holds the outsider
Just killed a man in a town called nightfall
Damned if i can't remember it all
My hand it was shaking but his talk it was tall
I paid for the funeral crew
And it seems like i never reach mexico
They're heading me off every place that i go
I'm sick of the fact that i've got to lay low
What else can an outsider do
I know they're near to me, i don't have to see
Just let me be the outsider
They ain't far behind, they're always on my mind
They won't find the outsider
The outsider
When the leaves are down i'll be southward bound
Hunter's haunt the outsider.
When the wind grows cold, when the sun grows old,
Nothing holds the outsider
The outsider. the outsider.

Outsider
Someone else is in your arms tonight
While Im all alone and blue
Someone else will kiss and hold you tight
Just the way I used to do
I used to be your love
And now Im your used to be
Outsider, thats me
Youll be dancing cheek to cheek with him
To our favorite melody
And the tender words you speak to him
Will be words you spoke to me
Once I was in your hearts
Now someone else holds the key
Outsider, thats me
*I want you so much (so much)
I can look (you can look) but must not touch
I keep waiting for the phone to ring
But I know its all in vain
When you left me you took everything
But the memories and the pain
I used to be your love
And now Im your used to be
Outsider, thats me

Fast Forward
one thing then another
one story then another conversation
always interrupted by another conversation
I want the words to barely glaze the page
gone the moment of their utterance
as we are
I want
in back of this a story a man with his face with his name
exile emigrant refugee displaced person outsider offcomerdon stranger suspect
the terms interchangeable politically undesireable
a story of a man who leaves his country
and the woman he loves
and the story of why
and her story
they never meet again
that’s it that’s all of it
far away she hears in the night street
footsteps footsteps stop
when she stops go on when she goes on
from the dark in back of her she hears
I can see you I can see you
Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy I can see you
far away she must go on
far away he must go on
Outsider
The many childhood memories that I have
are lonely ones of being an outsider.
I never mixed very well
and was always the last one,
other children wanted to call a friend.
I was a quiet person
who spent much of his time alone
buried deep within his own thoughts.
At classes, I always got the lowest grades,
on vacation I almost always was on my own.
I would sit for hours just pondering on my thoughts.
I never grew out of being an outsider,
different from the rest.
My early life was over shadowed
by younger sister whom my parents adored.
Every achievement that I made
my sister could do it better.
Not only was I an outsider at school,
but also at home a well.
In 1959, I left the shores
of the place I called home
to go back to the place of my birth.
Not until forty-two years later
would, I set foot on that soil again.
Things in the world had changed,
but not so much for me
as I was still a stranger
in the land I called my home.

Outsider
Noone want to hang with me because I was an Asian
They laugh at me and laugh behind my back
I feel like an
Outsider
Everything was bad
Nothing going to change
I was so sad and hurt
They don't even know me and never give me chance
I feel like an
Outsider
What can I do?
They keep gossip about me and giving me dirty looks
Before it was hard to have friends
Now it's ok
Everyone accept me for who I am and didn't judge me anymore
I'm not only lonely girl anymore
Everything turn around and I'm happy

Not To Take Other People Seriously
a father has a child to take care
mothers have fathers
they form a circle of their own
and you who is outside
this circle,
why take them seriously?
when you are an outsider and an outsider is always an outsider
there is no way for you to be there
for as old as humanity
those that belong to them be it chattels,
slaves,
things,
pots, kettles, horns,
sticks, glasses,
dresses, coats and ties
and children
and parents
and grandparents
they always have themselves
and you do not have them
as they do not have you too
so if i were you
and as you consider me a wise man
take time with your journey
enjoy every moment
pick those flowers along the way
whistle
dance
and if you must
plunge into that cool river beside the path
at the foot of the mountain
savor the water
relax
and just be yourself

Anybody who's ever gone through a hard time - any outsider's perception, no matter how much information they're given, they have no idea what the person's life is like.
Outsider
I am the one outside the group
outside the circle
the one who fell through
the holes in the net
The stranger
the outsider
I came close
and you said come closer;
and I made every effort -
eager, naïve and persistent -
but you had sophistication;
you always have sophistication;
and you played with me;
you needed bodies and responses
to fill in forms and information
and your Bureau of Statistics
and I was there - guided, directed
and you knew
all the while,
I was the stranger, the outsider
And you whispered to one another
while your smooth talk was practiced and distinct
I was the stranger, am the outsider
which you knew all the while
which I only saw late in the hour
and so I live now at the borders, at the periphery
and now when we walk past each other
we gaze at each other with caution
with careful disregard

The Outsider
There is a person, sometimes big, sometimes small
Who has a tendency to stay away from it all
When the rest of the proceedings are looked at, with wonder
This person is what everyone calls the quintessential Outsider
The Outsider could be a scavenger or a hangman
Or anybody considered unusual by a layman
He could be the maligned goalkeeper in a soccer game
Or a war-weary soldier, back to civilian life, devoid of fame
He wants to be in the thick of action, but cannot do so
He is misunderstood by a friend, as much as by a foe
His position is always lonely, always desolate, always solitary
Whether he be in a high-pressure game or the military
In every type of setting, he is a stranger
To some, he is a misfit; to some, a danger
To the well-established norms and stereotypes of the world
He is a character whose thoughts are best not unfurled
He refuses to give in to sycophancy, in this world so biased
Or conform to convention, so he is ostracized
No one seems to have time for his views
And thus his boredom with life blows a fuse
So, he is reduced to a mere observer
Of circumstances, which he becomes with little fervour
And in this way, he enlarges his experience
Of the development of life, surroundings and conscience

What was she doing, there?
What was she doing, there?
Like some old bag lady.
Another displaced foreigner...
Sitting in Piccadilly, gardens
Manchester, today...
“With a toy pram
and 2 clothed dollies”
“One dressed in green,
a much larger in reddish brown”.
Simply put on the fountains cobbles...
Dressed in these old linens
Her dollies lying face down.
How odd? No one is looking...?
Not one sees the child’s pram.
Only big enough for a small, cat.
How odd these two babies,
look—displaced on the ground.
One displaced to her left.
Another to her right…
It’s the 9th of October—2011
the time tomorrows date 10.10am
on a grey, wet Sunday, morning.
And, her presence questions me?
Quietly, disturbs me.
Before I catch my 101 bus…
Lord what is real…?
What is sequential in a world of madness…?

What Can One Person Do
(n. rodgers/g. smith)
What can one person do
More than a little bit
More than a little bit
Can I fight the battle
All by myself
Can I make a miracle happen
As long as I can think
And got my health
Ill never stop
Im too strong for that
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
Everyones gotta move
What they can move
The faithful can sometimes move mountains
When your faith is right
You will never lose your heart, your hope
Or your good friends
Dont be overcome by frustrations
Live up to your highest expectations
Im tellin you just for your information
Just for, just for your information
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
Looked into my soul and suspected
That Im gonna take, gonna take on the unexpected
Walked into the fire unprotected
Walk into the fire
What can one person do
What can one person be
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me
What can one person do
When its one like you
When its one like me

You Make Me Feel Safe
i know to you,
you probably think i can't control myself,
when it come to where my mind goes,
when we talk,
but to be trapped for so many years,
always feeling like i knew more about sex,
than the ppl around me,
i felt like an outsider,
so i learn to hide it,
growing up,
i just never felt safe to express myself sexually,
when it was accepted,
nobody treated it with care,
i never felt safe to open up,
the way i feel with you,
you make me feel safe,
because you said you won't use me for that,
i belive you and hope you true to your word,
you haven't made me doubt you yet,
and in a way,
i don't want to doubt you,
you seem like a nice guy,
somebody who honested,
that what i like about you,
you say you are just yourself,
you are a person,
that seem like a person worth getting to know,
we just have to remember to take it slow,
if this is truely what both of us want,
its what i want,
but i'm scared that this will be just a dream,
i don't think i can handle that,
my dream guy to be,
just a dream,
my heart can't handle that,
i feel like i'm in too deep,
and really we just getting to know each other.

Flotsam
After the First World War
there floated a sea of stateless people
who drifted from border to border,
flotsam of the war, each reaching out
to find somewhere to call their own;
displaced by everyone as they tried
to adopt a homeland,
a place they could call their own.
Etched on each face was the agony
they felt being turned away
everywhere they went.
This flotsam of war.
10 November 2010
Author’s Note:
It is hard to believe that millions of people were displaced and wandered the borders of Europe for years after the First World War. However, it is true and history does record it.

Positive Thinker
Am I a good thinker?
Can I see what others don't?
Am I a daring person?
Can I do what others do not like to do?
Or others are afraid to do?
Am I a creative and imaginative person?
Can I see the invisible?
Can I feel the intangible?
Can I achieve the impossible?
Am I a contemplating person?
Am I a self-reflective person?
Am I a confidence person?
Am I a self-reliance person?
Can I be a perfect person?
Can I be a clever person?
Can I be a smart thinker person?
Above all,
I prefer to be
A simple person
With a positive attitude,
Not only accept positive things,
But willing to accept negative things.

A Reflection
At one time I was blind
Blinded by the person in the mirror
The person in the mirror
Was someone I didn't like
A person that was full of anger
Anger which know one could stop
A person who was dishonest
A person who lied to themselves
A person who lied, cheated and stole
This person scared me
Yet the reflection I seen
Was me
How could this be me?
I didn't like this person I was looking at
That person couldn't of been me
Yet it was time to face the facts
This was me
This is who I'am
Now I know I had to change
If I didn't like this person
Then who would like this person?

Only person
I am the only person
Responsible here.
Only person wellknown in the market
Only person to love
Only person to show life with open eyes.
The life is an empty vessel
The life you like and
If you like you can puton
Anything you like
If you like you can putoff
All your programme
And held me responsible
For all lapses committed by you.
I am the person
The only person
Who is yours
Only yours
Only person
The only person.
