As human beings, we are endowed with freedom of choice, and we cannot shuffle off our responsibility upon the shoulders of God or nature. We must shoulder it ourselves. It is our responsibility.

Responsible Freedom
Responsible Freedom? ?
In love 'Responsible freedom'
is not a choice
For Love's favorite child is Responsibility
And at her birth
Freedom is willingly aborted
We mourn the death of one
And for the life of Love's favorite child rejoice.
For Love's enslavement deafens us
With the sound of Responsibility’s voice.
Can we then speak of freedom of choice?

All Americans value the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press, and I believe this is essential for our continued way of life. But with this freedom comes responsibility. That responsibility has been abdicated here by some in the media and some in the government.

With freedom comes responsibility, and I can think of no responsibility greater than putting on a U.S military uniform and standing in the gap between an enemy threat and civilian life.

Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility.

Educating Ignorance
Educating ignorance
is a full on
lifetime task.
A joyous
not grave
responsibility
to raise
to expand the consciousness
of an entire world.
To perpetuate
human survival
on a higher
cosmic level
attaining joyous existence
sustainability.
Reverent
collective will
exalting
individual freedom
outgrow need to dominate
pristine nature.
Outgrowing need
to dominate
energy sources
all human incarnations
conceived revered as
sacred sites evolving.
Life a joyous exaltation
not a grave
restrained responsibility.

Neon Shuffle
Hey - what you going to do now
Youre standing there and wondering how
Youve got to make some noise
Just like one of the girls
Or even one of the boys
When you do it
It aint no disgrace
I can see it written all across your face
Neon shuffle and shuffle into outer space
I said - neon shuffle is a dance for the human race
I said - neon shuffle is gonna pull you outta your place
You - you put your hands together
Better make up a storm
Or some electricky weather
Now that the powers stop
Can you click your heels
Can you finger pop
Neon shuffle
Neon shuffle its going to do it to me
Neon shuffle its going to do it to you
Neon shuffle its going to do it with red
Neon shuffle its going to do it with blue
Neon shuffle its going to run you right through
Neon shuffle with a stick of bamboo

Law Is Freedom
Law is freedom
Not a kind of fake made freedom
Or an abusive wild freedom
Not a narrow minded follower
Or blurred ruler
Law is freedom
A freedom that obeyed
With full consciousness and responsibility
A freedom to do and to not do
And know the consequences
Law is freedom
A solid freedom
Not a tool of terror
A freedom to live
Not to conquer it

I cannot stop a wandering cloud or a rising kite
Why should I try?
It has its own destiny
And let wind takes the responsibility.
I am just a stargazer in the open sky.
When my kite insists about the freedom of choice
No grumble and I let loose the line to choose her the side.

Ibrahim's tale
Ibrahim
Ibrahim was a shoemaker
in that Persian land afar
where wisest men practice crafts
in side-alleys without name
and teach with stories
One day, Ibrahim was overcome
by happiness beyond all belief
while the sun moved from there to here
He told his friend, who said
you look the same to me
He went to the doctor who said
we’d better keep an eye on that,
it might need an X-ray
He went to the priest who said
the Devil has cunning ways
to tempt with gifts
He went to the politician who said
it’s just a way to avoid
your social responsibility
He went to the psychiatrist who said
such delusions are uncommon but
not unknown come back next week
Ibrahim walked home
through the market and stallholders smiled
even though he bought nothing
a stray dog followed him home
his wife said you’re late for dinner
how lucky you are to have me for a wife
his children said
didn’t you bring anything home for us?
But here the story of Ibrahim
splits into many versions;
so you who know that bliss
which overcame our Ibrahim
must complete it for yourselves
to tell to your chlldren and
your children’s children
so that wise men smile, and angels laugh,
and poets pause, and storytellers
nod to themselves, while
they shape and tack their shoes, that
a storyteller carries on wise shoulders
a responsibility to human beings
greater than any king..

What We Are.... (Freedom)
Thomas Jefferson said, 'every generation needs its own revolution'....
freedom is not passive, not set, not a past attainment.
it is the act of evolving, becoming more human.
it requires seeing the face, and knowing the heart.
it has to be the way we live... the way we give....
and the reason we breathe....
a constant joining, listening, and caring.
the responsibility of needs met, and shared.
the shout of the question, and the embrace of faith...
freedom must be who we are, what we are,
and what we believe...
or freedom dies!
