Fires can't be made with dead embers, nor can enthusiasm be stirred by spiritless men. Enthusiasm in our daily work lightens effort and turns even labor into pleasant tasks.

The Solution To All Your Worldly Problems
Drive your car, drive to work
Drive to work to pay for your car
Drive your car, drive to work
Drive to work to pay for your car
The way I see it, just get rid of the car
Then you won't have to drive to work
The reason why you won't have to work
Is 'cause you'll have no car to pay for.
Taxi Suite (excerpt: 1. After Anacreon)
When I drive cab
I am moved by strange whistles and wear a hat
When I drive cab
I am the hunter. My prey leaps out from where it
hid, beguiling me with gestures
When I drive cab
all may command me, yet I am in command of all who do
When I drive cab
I am guided by voices descending from the naked air
When I drive cab
A revelation of movement comes to me. They wake now.
Now they want to work or look around. Now they want
drunkenness and heavy food. Now they contrive to love.
When I drive cab
I bring the sailor home from the sea. In the back of
my car he fingers the pelt of his maiden
When I drive cab
I watch for stragglers in the urban order of things.
When I drive cab
I end the only lit and waitful things in miles of
darkened houses
Enthusiasm
One who is possessed by God,
Is known as a person with Enthusiasm;
He is at the threshold to the Lord,
And has with him no phantasm.
His mind is fresh as a rose,
And he is ever present in his work;
At it he is positive and close,
And desires to do things and not shirk.
He never acts in hurry and haste,
And on any person does bank;
He is prudent and doesn't waste,
His quest is to be high in rank.
He ever wishes to take in knowledge,
Wherein his charisma steadily increases;
With enthusiasm he gets enough courage,
And he doesn't deviate from his creases.
He is ever exuberant and passionate,
And tends to be upbeat and bubbly;
He never likes his job to procrastinate,
And completes things sans mishap, calmly.
In life he is always optimistic,
And is a positive personality;
He plans his work in a manner realistic,
Being vernal and fresh is his speciality.
Like a plant which is in the process of growth,
He drums up , before God, his enthusiasm;
And while he prays he takes in an oath,
Between him and God there should be no chasm.

Drive-in
Ooo wah
Ooo wah
Everytime I have a date theres only one place to go
Thats to the drive in
Its such a groovy place to talk and maybe watch a show
Down at the drive in
Forget about the plot, itll do very well
But make sure you see enough so youre prepared to tell
About the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
If the windows get fogged youll have to take a breath
(oooooooo waah oooo)
Down at the drive in
(wah wah ooooooo)
Or the cat dressed in white will scare you both to death
Down at the drive in
A big buttered popcorn and an extra large coke
A few chili dogs and man Im goin broke
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
Yeah at the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Dont sneak your buddies in the trunk cause they might get caught
By the drive in
(wah wah wah ooooooo)
And theyd look kinda stupid gettin chased through the lot
(wah ooooooo)
Around the drive in
If you say you watch the movie youre a couple o liars
And remember only you can prevent forest fires
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)
Down at the drive in
(ooo wah)
I love the drive in
(we love the drive in, we love the drive in)

A Hectic Day
Work is inevitable
Work is accumulative
Work is strenuous
Work is living
A good work represents a good life
A well lived life is a balance
A balance between work & play
Is a life worth living!
Thus it begins my enthusiasm
For compilation of workloads
To be effective & efficient
To complete it I shall stop
Writing this poem!

Dont Drive Drunk
He and his wife have had problems
That hes played off like nothings wrong
til he comes home from work early
Just to find the girl is gone
Oh but he gets into the cupboard
Picks out that bottle of gin
Drinks like theres no tomorrow
And decides to take a spin
No dont drive drunk
Dont drive drunk, no
Dont drive drunk
Mothers against drunk drivers are mad
Teenager at a live party
Says, give me one for the road
But hes already so inebriated
If you lit a smoke hed explode
But bartender says, I dont think so
Young one says, I can deal
Staggering out he says, check you all later
But I really dont think he will
No dont drive drunk
Dont drive drunk, no
Dont drive drunk
Mothers against drunk drivers are mad
(repeat)
(background)
Dont drive drunk
D-d-d dont drive drunk
Dont drive drunk
Hicup
(repeat)
Boy out with girl on their first date
Gets pulled over by the law
Officer says, hey cant you drive straight
Or have you been drinking alcohol?
Boy says, man are you crazy?
Cop says, hey then walk this line
But results from the breathalizer
Proves hes charged with d.u.i.
No dont drive drunk
Dont drive drunk, no
Dont drive drunk
Mothers against drunk drivers are mad
(repeat)
(background)
Dont drive drunk
D-d-d dont drive drunk
Dont drive drunk
Hicup
(repeat)

Leave a mark by your special ways of playing your role
You are hired
Only to be fired
Or to be retired
As desired
By the person
who hired
This fact need to be dared
When you are up flared
And for hiring declared
By the person who chaired
The selecting group un-deferred
You know your worth
And you should know your work
You know what you should be doing
More vitally, what you should not be doing
Jobs, whose skill requirements
Are below your skill level
And those whose skill requirements
Are far above your level
Cannot be performed by you
At the same time
Do your work diligently
With a passion for it
Tasks performed without love for them
Turn into toiling
With no satisfaction
Either to self or the beneficiary
We are not born
To work or toil hard
But are born to enjoy working
With a never dying enthusiasm
Enthusiasm aided with innovation
Makes the work
More enjoyable
Monetary returns
And other work-related benefits
Cannot be charming always
But, what keeps you going
Is the self-satisfaction,
Your unique contribution
And your specific touch
Be ready to accept the fact
You are not indispensable
Someone will replace you
To play your role
But, leave a mark
By your special ways of
Playing that role

Bit in the middle
I work forty miles from home,
so I drive eighty miles a day.
I quite enjoy the journey
it give me time to pray.
I rise at six thirty each moning
so I can get an early start.
I leave work at five thirty,
in the winter I just drive in the dark.
I don't mind all the driving,
in fact it gives me a rest.
It's just the work in the middle
thats the bit that I detest.

Drive Me Wild
Ooh, look at me, I'm a Cadillac
I'm a brand new convertible child
I've never been driven baby, U're the first
Come on baby, drive me wild ... ooh
Ooh, look at me, I'm a telephone
Whatever U want, just dial
Come on honey, please, it's so easy
Do it baby, drive me wild
CHORUS:
Come on baby, do it, drive me wild
Do it baby, drive me wild
Come on baby, do it, drive me wild
Do it baby, drive me wild
Ooh, look at me, I'm a radio
Call me up, make a request
I'll do anything, just name it
When I'm bad, baby, I'm the best
CHORUS
Ooh
Ooh, look at me, I'm a baby doll
Just pick me up and I'll smile
I may be young but I'm a whole lotta fun
Come on, baby, drive me wild
CHORUS
Ooh, do it, drive me wild
Come on baby, drive me wild
Ooh, do it, drive me wild
Come on baby, drive me wild
Drive me wild, drive me wild

Four Letter 'Work' Song
Work me up, work me out, work me flip side down.
Work me here, work me there, work me with renown.
Work me hot, work me greedy,
work me through and through.
Work me to the very marrow,
work me just like I'd work you.
Work me proud, work me late,
work me do not hesitate.
Won't you let me work for you?
Work me til I'm black and blue.
Work me steady, work me needy, work me to a lather.
Work me til my backbone breaks, and the buzzards gather.
Work me in, work me under, work me til I bleed,
Work me over red hot coals, work me like a boss in need.
Work me nasty, work me silly, work me through the clover.
Up down, 'n' in between, into a slipknot sweet Jehovah.
Work me, work me, go ahead.
Work me, work me, til I'm dead.

Work attentively
Work done with involvement
produces interest.
It is the drive from without.
Work done with interest
produces involvement.
It is the drive from within.
In both concentration sets in.
Otherwise, time spent is waste.

Fun is fundamental. There is no way around it. You absolutely must have fun. Without fun, there is no enthusiasm. Without enthusiasm, there is no energy. Without energy, there are only shades of gray.
Cultivate your curiosity. Keep it sharp and always working. Consider curiosity your life preserver, your willingness to try something new. Second, enlarge your enthusiasm to include the pursuit to excellence, following every task through to completion. Third, make the law of averages work for you. By budgeting your time more carefully than most people you can make more time available. Does the combination of curiosity, enthusiasm, and the law of averages guarantee success Indeed it does not ... Success in the final analysis always involves luck or the element of chance. Louis Pasteur grasped this well when he said that chance favors the prepared mind.
