She's Got My Number
She's got my number she always did
She can always see where my secret's hid
Everything about me is hers to tell
She's got my number she always will
She's got my number I must confess
One look in her eyes and I feel undressed
She can see right through all my little games
She's got my number she has my name
Late night driving with the telephone
In the car and I'm always
Waiting

The Hoax
when someone emails you
that he has 3 million pounds
and he is giving
all of it to you,
will you believe him?
you ask me
if i believe him too?
alright, i may believe him
and give my name
and address and telephone number
my status, my other
particulars
even my credit card number
and you will say
OH MY GOD
how gullible can i be!
well, it does not really
matter
all these, my name, my address
and telephone number
and other particulars
even my credit card number
and ATM PIN
all these
are fakes too
exactly just like him
and his 3 million pounds
you see,
i was also not born yesterday

Telephone X
I see your hands they're on me
Just when you say hello
You see your words they drown me
Then there's a warmth below
My body and soul are feeling fine
And my body and soul, just killing time
When you ring my number, you ring my head
All the time for telephone sex
See my life just falling with you
I feel this rhythm draw me
But will I get my way
Your body slides beneath me
"Keep talking" I'll say
My body and soul are feeling fine
And my body and soul, just killing time
When you ring my number, you ring my head
All the time for telephone sex
See my life just falling with you
When you ring my number, you ring my head
All the time for telephone sex
See my life just falling with you
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah
Falling with you
Falling with you
......
Well I wanted to know this love's forever
Wanted to feel this free together
Wanted to sleep, just dream whenever
Falling with you
When you ring my number, you ring my head
All the time for telephone sex
See my life just falling with you
When you ring my number, you ring my head
All the time for telephone sex
See my life just falling with you

See my life just falling with you

Wrong Number
Telephone down the hall
Dark and dusty on a dirty wall
Funky number scratched up above
Call this number if you need some love
Another number thats hard to read
Fools round here call it endlessly
But I know better, just leave it alone
Sugar man sellin dreams on the phone
Oh oh oh oh oh oh wrong number
Dont cha do it, no dont cha do it
Oh oh oh oh oh oh wrong number
Dont cha do it, no dont cha do it
Oh oh that sugar it aint worth the price
Another day out in the streets
The rollers drag another man to his feet
Take him to jail, to city hall
Sugar man puts a cross on his wall
Oh oh oh oh oh oh wrong number
Dont cha do it, no dont cha do it
Oh oh oh oh oh oh wrong number
Dont cha do it, no dont cha do it
Oh oh that sugar it aint worth the price
They keep on callin the man day and night
Mercedes pulls up, they all gather round
They flash their cash as the window rolls down
Then they run, run and hide
Back to their room for a warm sugar ride

Ive Got Your Number
I miss the soft cold touch of your skin
In the night when [? ]
I see your picture smashed to the ground
But my heart begins to pound
Ive got your number but youre never at home
I leave a message, please telephone
Its so sad that youre not around
Its bringing me down
In the [? ] where we would meet
In a crowd where theres no one around
Its such a sin, this mood Im in
Now that we got [? ]
I bet youre burning up on the town
With every jerk and every clown
I walk the streets, hear your voice in my head
I [? ] an empty bed
Ive got your number but youre never at home
I leave a message, please telephone
Its so sad that youre not around
Its bringing me down
I know my news[? ] leave a lot to be desired
But I thought that we had it made
But I guess that Im not so smart
Youre breakin my heart
Ive got your number but youre never at home
I leave a message, please telephone
Its so sad that youre not around
Its bringing me down
Guess Ill pack up and leave this town
With all its memories of you
Theres a [? ], new york city
Ill get by without you
I miss the soft cold touch of your skin

You Are 'Never' Going To Change
Here it comes, again.
That same denial I make attempts to forget.
The same one about my missing someone loved.
Someone I am trying my best not to admit.
Why me?
Why can't you just leave me alone,
And be about your own business.
Here I sit alone for a few minutes.
With the thought of this on my mind.
And then I believe from me those feelings go.
And then when I 'think' the coast is clear.
Those feelings come again.
They without notice re-appear.
So I pick up the telephone.
Blocking out my number before I dial.
Knowing those feelings once had in me are gone.
To announce very quickly to 'whoever' answers...
That the number I dialed was wrong.
Why me?
I find I am asking myself this,
Constantly.
Here it comes, again.
That same denial I make attempts to forget.
The same one about my missing someone loved.
Someone I am trying my best not to admit.
So I pick up the telephone.
Blocking out my number out before I dial.
Knowing those feelings once had in me are gone.
To announce very quickly,
The number I dialed was wrong.
'Why can't you just leave me alone? '
Excuse me?
Didn't you here me say...
I dialed a wrong number?
You are 'never' going to change!

Full of excuses
I didn't telephone a.m.
as you'd be having breakfast then.
I didn't telephone at noon
for fear you might be lunching soon.
I didn't telephone p.m.
I thought you might be sleeping and
I didn't telephone at 8
for dinner in your house is late.
I didn't telephone at 9
for fear this may be T.V. time.
I didn't telephone today
as time just seemed to slip away.
No wonder that we never speak,
perhaps I'll try sometime next week?

Top Ten Reasons I Would Make a Lousy Poetry Critic
(Letterman style countdown)
Number Ten: Because I probably lack the skill to determine where another’s failings lie
Number Nine: Because I doubt that anyone else really has such infallible skill
Number Eight: Because I lack the desire to render negative opinions of another’s work
Number Seven: Because I question the true motives of any one who readily renders scathing critiques
Number Six: Because I believe in positive reinforcement rather than accentuating negatives
Number Five: Because I don’t wish to have any hand in discouraging or killing the dreams of other poets
Number Four: Because I believe that what people write is far more important than the skill they show in doing it.
Number Three: Because the majority of poetry derives from a warm heart and most criticism originates from cold indifferent intellect
Number Two: Because I know what it feels like to be on the other end of the equation
And the Number One reason I would make a lousy poetry critic:
Because, poetically speaking, I live in a glass house.

Reconciliation
Taste the wine and smell the roses
Hear the music that used to surround us
Imagine the warmth of my body close to you
And my loving arms surrounding you
How many days has it been
Since we’ve been parted
How many times have we said
We’ve got to get back together
How many times have we reached for the telephone
Only to find that we didn’t have each others number
How much longer must this agony go on
Until one of us gives in, admits we were wrong
It was such a silly argument that caused all this pain
But I swear to you now I’ll never let it happen again
We acted just like spoilt children
That was to our great shame
I reach for the telephone
Dial your number and let is ring
There goes the front door bell
I rush to open the door
And there in front of me is standing you
In unison our voices say “I love you.”
Locked in each others embrace
Now, never leaving forever and ever

So many shows, swear wherever I go I'm gonna keep on lookin'
Lookin' for my number one, number one (Oh)

Wherever you are (my only one)
Just know that you're mine (number one, number one)

Divorced from Dumb Reality - Number Lesson on Numb Pointless Love
DIVORCED FROM DUMB REALITY
My fun begun with number one,
swore to be true to number two,
happy to be with number three,
then to adore fair number four.
No more alive is number five,
mix stones and sticks Styx number six,
who’s in heaven, number seven?
its now too late for number eight.
Another line for number nine,
begin again with number ten.

No number is related to me
Do not show me number
I have not missed any
There is no magic square

There is no number
I have also not trumpet
