The Twelve Sons
Ishmayl had twelve sons with the following names:
Nebayoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma and Dumah;
Massa, Hadad, Tema, Yetur, Naphish and Kedemah;
But, Yaaqob had twelve sons and a daughter.
The children of Yaaqob had the following names:
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Yahdah, Dan and Naphtali;
Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun and Yahseph;
With Dianah being the only daughter among the twelve sons.
Now Abraham took another wife called Keturah while,
Sarah was still alive in the promised land;
And Keturah bore to Abraham the following children:
Zimran, Yokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah.
These were the children Yahweh gave to them and,
The twelve sons have been divided into many peoples of the world;
But, we all have Abraham as our father.

Shalom Salaam
Lost am I in my memories of my forefathers' legacy
I am one of you you are one of me
why don't we set the people free
how I grieve to see fulfillment of prophecy
naive of me to think things could change
while man remain the same so war will be for me everyday
no peace no peace for the children of Israel
Gaza cries all the tears from her eyes
will there be no peace for the children of Palestine
shalom salaam shalom salaam
who will take the blame for the blood of my children
to who does vengeance belong to no one no one
we're dying from tanks and suicide bombs
the only answer is to live as one
and justice will come for my sons and just will come for my sons
shalom salaam shalom salaam
and I wonder why and I wonder who and I wonder what
is in the heart of you
and I wonder why and I wonder who and I wonder what
is in the heart of you
children are children no matter color or faith
and I wonder if history will teach us again
so war will be for me everyday
no peace no peace for the children of Israel
Gaza cries all the tears from her eyes
will there be no peace for the children of Palestine
and justice will come for my sons

Sons Of The Pioneers
(myles goodwyn)
Published by northern goody two tunes, ltd./capac - ascap
Reachin for a space in time, layin our fate on the line
Starting out a life anew, after weve come so far
Wont you look and see now, here we are
You were the ones, there is no doubt
You ate it up and spit it out
You were the ones, you made it clear, you could take it
We are the sons of the pioneers (we are the sons of pioneers)
The day has come, our fate is clear
Were the sons of the pioneers
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Were not afraid to try (were not afraid to try)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid of fear
Whats the point of going on, if you feel that it couldnt be done
Cause I just wanna understand, freedoms the soul of a man
Wont you look and see now, and show me how
We have the chance, there is no doubt
Well pick it up, and see it out
We are the ones, you made it clear, we can take it
We are the sons of the pioneers (we are the sons of pioneers)
The day has come, the way is clear
For the sons of the pioneers
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid to try (men not afraid to try)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid of fear......................fear
When you think of how far weve come, and to know that weve only begun
Leaving us a legacy, makes sense to me
That now our time has come, for we have to move on
You were the ones, there is no doubt
You ate it up and spit it out
You were the ones, you made it clear, you could take it
And now its time, our fate is surely here now
There is no doubt about it, its time we thought about it
We are the ones, the way is clear, for the sons of the pioneers
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid to try (men not afraid to try)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afriad of fear
Is there any doubt, none at all, they heard the call of the
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid to try (men not afraid to try)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid to try (men not afraid to try)
Sons of the pioneers (sons of the pioneers)
Men not afraid of fear

Children Of Shadows
Children of bullying wake to a befallen doom
As they prepare for school
Not knowing what the day will behold
Everyone wants to be understood
Why must they be bullied?
You just don't know how it tarnishes their self esteem
It hurts so bad
Please stop!
Let me be
The pain is unbearable
So they see themselves as a shadow
Children of shadows don't want to be spit on
Children of shadows don't want to be laughed at
Children of shadows don't want to be humiliated
No one wants to be thrown in the trash
Children of shadows can overcome
Children of shadows can be loved
Children of shadows can be understood
Because we are not a shadow
But a fierce soul

A Happy Man
When these graven lines you see,
Traveller, do not pity me;
Though I be among the dead,
Let no mournful word be said.
Children that I leave behind,
And their children, all were kind;
Near to them and to my wife,
I was happy all my life.
My three sons I married right,
And their sons I rocked at night;
Death nor sorrow never brought
Cause for one unhappy thought.
Now, and with no need of tears,
Here they leave me, full of years,--
Leave me to my quiet rest
In the region of the blest.

Sons Of The Silent Age
Sons of the silent age
Stand on platforms blank looks and note books
Sit in back rows of city limits
Lay in bed coming and going on easy terms
Sons of the silent age
Pace their rooms like a cells dimensions
Rise for a year or two then make war
Search through their one inch thoughts
Then decide it couldnt be done
Baby, Ill never let you go
All I see is all I know
Lets take another way down (sons of sound and sons of sound)
Baby, baby, Ill never let you down
I cant stand another sound
Lets find another way (sons of sound and sons of sound)
Sons of the silent age
Listen to tracks by sam therapy and king dice
Sons of the silent age
Pick up in bars and cry only once
Sons of the silent age
Make love only once but dream and dream
Dont walk, they just glide in and out of life
They never die, they just go to sleep one day
Baby, I wont ever let you go
All I see is all I know
Lets take another way down (sons of sound and sons of sound)
Oh baby, baby, baby, I wont ever let you down
I cant stand another sound
Lets take another way in (sons of sound and sons of sound)
(sons of sound and sons of sound)
Baby, baby, baby, fire away!

Sons And Daughters
There's a place in the city they call the Archway
Where we rented three rooms for a dollar a day
and I worked semi-skilled at the capstans for years
And my wife was a good woman but the love disappeared
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
When a marriage goes down they're the loneliest ones
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
How I hope they can cope with the damage I've done
I found me a band, I went out on tour
So the kids wouldn't know I was with them no more
When they said, "Where's me dad?" She'd say, "He's a star!"
Oh if only stars knew what fools they all are.
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
When a marriage goes down they're the loneliest ones
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
How I hope they can cope with the damage I've done
I got a new contract, I got a new life
No more capstans for me and I've got a new wife
Sometimes she gets angry, says she wants a family
Then that nightmare returns like a ghost haunting me
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
When a marriage breaks up you're the loneliest ones
Sons and Daughters, Daughters and Sons
How I hope you all cope with the damage we done

Sons N Lovers
(ian hunter)
I was your baby-you were my girl
When I asked you to marry me- the tears fell
Sons n lovers, sons n lovers, waving
My childhood goodbye-it seems so sad
Well how long have you been my best friend
This wont be the end of
Sons n lovers-sons n lovers--she wont wanna talk anymore about it
You were my lady- I was your number one
When I said I was leaving- tears run
Sons n lovers-sons n lovers, breakin
Tryin not to hurt each others hearts
Well how long can we exist- I know
We cant go on like this
Sons n lovers-sons and lovers--i dont wanna lie anymore
Was that you I saw--walkin out along the shore
Was that you I saw-talkin to him
Was that you I saw-puttin his hands in yours
Thats alright ma- you can still love him
Thats alright ma- you can still love
And through the years-you know- we will remember
Time will never take old times away
How long for you to discover that- there still some strings attached to
Sons n lovers-sons and lovers
But I dont wanna play anymore
Sons n lovers

Though this is only morning glow.
That comes to leave me blown away.
Beyoncé made me feel this way.
And when I noticed her in you...
My heart took flight on something new.
So rare it is,
I knew it came to stay.
B'bay Bay you're so fine.
Sun shines on you all they time.
Say Sasha!

Couch The Comfort
Couch the comfort and bite the pain
Everybody play insane
There’s chaos at the zoo
Wild wild tigers come for you
And we can whip our way to safety once again
Until the children are all safe
until the children are all safe
until the children
are all safe
Bloods been drawn
down by the bodega store
There’s zebras and lions
and the lions eat the zebras
Over 12 dollars and mother hollars
Juan is gone
My eldest sons been eaten
yes my eldest sons been eaten
Lions run from the blue guns
Rob the poor to build the funds
And they’re running free
Just a little bit more
Too many antelope lose the war
So we couch the comfort and bite the pain
Everybody play insane
There’s chaos at the zoo
Wild wild tigers come for you
And we can whip our way to safety
once again
Until the children all learn
until the children all learn
until the children all learn
To be insane too

On The Nine Eleven
What deed did you do? What gain did you gain?
O! The sons Cain, the sons of Cain, the sons of Cain.
Why did you cause on the earth perpetual pain?
O! The sons Cain, the sons of Cain, the sons of Cain.
Why did you push humanity into the dismal zone?
Whom did you obey? What goals were you shown?
Alas! You would have the palpitating human hearts,
And have imagined the cumbersome gagging groan.
Who educated you with so-called divine education?
Who infused in your blood, and heart’s palpitation,
The poison, the venom, the fire and bursting flames;
That you wreaked vengeance on Adam’s generation.
You crashed; you stroke planes in the back of Towers,
Only to be known, the suiciders, the killers of flowers,
Would that! You were trained, you were only taught;
How to exert influence of love with wholesome powers.
Would that! You have felt ponderous pangs of the spot,
How working men, women and children aspiring a lot,
Were soon crushed and crashed, pounded and pestled,
Who a slight ago moved, cherishing hopes in blood hot.
The cries subdued, suppressed in the hearts squeezed,
How sooner the paragons of beauty to ashes decreased!
With them were crippled crushed, desires and dreams,
Such a spectrum could please only the minds diseased.
We are children of the same Father, the same Mother;
And have been sent on the beautified Earth to gather,
Flowers, to seed pills of happiness, not of the thorns,
Only love, peace, tolerance and harmony to bother.

Through the grill of my cell
I see children playing.
Pinned there, shrinking there,
prison-years… torture-years…
Germany,
your sons will
no longer play

A Song of the Republic
Sons of the South, awake! arise!
Sons of the South, and do.
Banish from under your bonny skies
Those old-world errors and wrongs and lies.
Making a hell in a Paradise
That belongs to your sons and you.
Sons of the South, make choice between
(Sons of the South, choose true),
The Land of Morn and the Land of E'en,
The Old Dead Tree and the Young Tree Green,
The Land that belongs to the lord and the Queen,
And the Land that belongs to you.
Sons of the South, your time will come –
Sons of the South, 'tis near –
The "Signs of the Times", in their language dumb,
Fortell it, and ominous whispers hum
Like sullen sounds of a distant drum,
In the ominous atmosphere.
Sons of the South, aroused at last!
Sons of the South are few!
But your ranks grow longer and deeper fast,
And ye shall swell to an army vast,
And free from the wrongs of the North and Past
The land that belongs to you.

Bible in Poetry: Galatians 4
As long as heir is just a child,
He is not diff’rent from a slave,
Although he owns the whole estate,
Until time set by his father,
He has guardians and too trustees.
When we were children, we were slaves,
Under the basic rules of world;
But when the time had fully come,
God sent his son, born of woman,
Born under law to redeem all,
In law to rights receive of sons;
Being sons, God sent the Spirit
Of His One Son into our hearts,
Who calls out ‘Abba’ or Father;
No longer are you slaves but sons,
And being sons, God made you heirs!
Paul’s Concern for the Galatians:
When formerly, you didn’t know God,
You’re slaves to those who were not gods;
Now that you know the living God,
Or rather known by God Himself,
Why do you turn back to your ways
Of weak, improper principles?
Do you want to be slaves again?
You observe special months, seasons,
And days and years, I fear for you;
Have my efforts all gone awaste?
I plead with you, my brothers then,
Become like me, henceforth in time;
You haven’t done wrong to me at all;
Because I was then ill, I preached
The gospel first to you earlier;
Although my illness troubled you,
You didn’t treat me with contempt, scorn.
Contrariwise, you welcomed me
As if I were God’s angel then:
As if I were Christ Jesus Lord;
What happened to all of your joy?
If you had done, I would have told;
You would have gouged your eyes for me!
Am I your foe for telling truth?
Those people want to win you o’er,
And alienate you from us somehow;
For goodness sake, be zealous then,
Provided good, the purpose be;
And be so always, forever;
My children dear for whom I ache,
With child-birth pains till you get Christ,
Oh, how I wish I be with you,
And change my tone, perplexed with you!
Hagar and Sarah:
You who want to be in the law,
Aren’t you aware of what law says?
’Tis writ: Abraham had two sons
One by the slave woman, Hagar,
Other by free woman, Sarah;
The former came in common way,
But the free woman Sarah’s son
Was born by promise of God’s mouth.
These represent two covenants:
The former one from Mount Sinai,
Which bears children who will be slaves;
And this is Hagar, Arabia,
Presently now Jerusalem,
Which is in bondage with children;
The city that’s above is free,
And she is our mother, Sarah!
For ’tis written:
‘Be glad, O barren woman then,
Who does not bear any children;
Break forth in joy and cry aloud;
You do not suffer labor pains;
Because the children born are more
Of the desolate woman than
Of her, who has a husband own.’
But then, what does the Scripture say?
Get rid of slave woman and son,
For latter never can share in
Inheritance with free woman’s son;
We aren’t children of slave woman,
But are the sons of free woman!

Our Protectors And Saviors
in their own rights, they are our protectors and saviors
our daily road pavers.
they are the ones who our lives, we put
to protect, and it gets better yet.
they are with us every second, of every minute
of every waking day.
and for this, they don't get much pay.
they are searchers who try to make things right.
with the courage and determination
to stand up and fight.
it matters not, where they're from
their backgrounds, or religious beliefs
or even the color of their skin.
they just want to take away the pain and the sins.
they get into a profession to help others
and to protect all families
and our sisters and brothers.
they do not do it for fame and glory
this is not their desires and stories.
they do it because there is such a need
and it is a beautiful deed.
their hearts are full of compassion
and they'll run, to get in the action.
they do it for self esteem
and in their eyes, you'll see that gleem.
when a life they have saved
to live to see another day.
that in itself, is worth much more than pay.
now you may ask me, who can they be
they are the ones, who surround you and me.
they are: the police and law enforcement agencies
the firemen, the doctors, and health care providers
and the soldiers who protect the nations
they are the protectors and our saviors
of our every waking hour
and they are the ones
who have lifes powers.
we put our lives and faith in them every day
and to them, i do give praise.

Ride To Agadir
They rode in the morning
Casablanca to the west
On the atlas mountain foothills leading down to marakesh
For mohammed and morocco
We had taken up our guns
For the ashes of our fathers and the children of our sons.
For the ashes of our fathers and the children of our sons.
In the dry winds of summer
They were sharpening the blades.
They were riding to act upon the promise we had made.
With the fist and the dagger
With the rifle and the lance
We will suffer no intrusion from the infidels of france.
We will suffer no intrusion from the infidels of france.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.
They could wait no more
In the burning sands on the ride to agadir.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.
Like the dogs of war
For the future of this land on the ride to agadir.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.
Though they were waiting
And they were fifty to our ten
They were easily outnumbered by a smaller force of men.
As the darkness was falling
They were soon to realize
We were going to relieve them of their god-forsaken lives.
We were going to relieve them of their god-forsaken lives.
They could wait no more
In the burning sands on the ride to agadir.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.
Like the dogs of war
For the future of this land on the ride to agadir.
Ride, ride, ride, ride to agadir.

Sons Of God!
and the sons of god walked among us,
their hands dirtied with the work.
with eyes that saw the naked,
and ears that heard the cry.
speaking the languages of need,
without need for veil or crucifix.
unknown, unheralded, soft spoken,
taking little for they had no need...
other than the works of healing,
bathed in the light of forgiveness.
believing, caring, touching...
without title or even name....
perhaps they've walked beside you,
and you thought but the wind!
the sons of god dressed as humans,
wiping away the tears of the children!
