I read our emails every day and I know there are people out there who think I'm awful.

On the other hand, when I give it closer thought, I realize I'm not enough of a dictator to conduct an orchestra because it requires a pretty awful person. When you read these biographies of famous conductors, they are all awful people who fail in their private relationships.

Just live a good life
I wake up early this morning
Opening my computer
To read the emails and to
Write some thoughts in my mind
You pop out on the screen
With a big Good Day to me
You were fast on your pessimism
As I sip my coffee and read you
The world is ending
The climates changed
There is so much CO2
Humans have become
Slanderers and blasphemers
And God shall take his day
For this world’s destruction
I ask, if you have taken coffee
A pineapple juice or simply tea
I ask, if you had good sex last night
With your wife or someone else
I ask, if you are writing another poem
I ask, if you are taking a morning walk
With your dog or your son or daughter
I ask, if you have seen the sun rise
I ask, if you had a nice conversation
With a friend or an officemate
I ask, if you are living a good life
I ask, if you are being good and taking
Care of yourself, if you are praying, if
You are on the good side of the fence
You may not answer, I am taking a walk
I have just written a poem, I am answering
Emails of friends, I am seeing a beautiful
Sunrise today, its rays coming out from the trees.

Like everybody at that age, I read an awful lot of pulp fiction. But at the same time, I also read quite a bit of history and read that as much for pleasure as part of a curriculum.
I think most people read and re-read the things that they have liked. That's certainly true in my case. I re-read Pound a great deal, I re-read Williams, I re-read Thomas, I re-read the people whom I cam to love when I was at what you might call a formative stage.

Read Me
Read me like you would read your favourite book
A fine wine
A line that is not mine
That baits the tongue
And hooks you in
Read me like you would read a star with just one look
And see a whole constellation rising
Where you fear to tred
Come read each word each turn of phrase
Each slight of hand
Each tone
The careful wits display
Of art
That's choreographed
Like trees in may
That bud
Be careful of the bee that feeds within
If suddenly disturbed it has an awful STING!

No Power To The People Mar 4th,2011
If more people read this blog, they would eventually realize,
That things are not all right in Canada despite our huge size,
We need binding referendums and political recall,
We need true set-date elections and not and not just when they call.
We need death with dignity because we are all going to die,
It could be an awful painful death and we don’t know the reason why,
Our wishy washy leadership see no reason to change,
No power to the people and why should that be so strange?
It’s uncomfortable I know because there’s nothing we can do,
Because all these changes are forbidden in case you didn’t know,
Read your daily papers and they will tell you what to think,
Propaganda of the faithful going to the hockey rink,

I could go through a lot of my old emails from when I first started doing comics. Back then the lowest age of fans was like 15 or 16 up to people in their 20's and 30's.

People Who Read People Magazin
(Kinky Friedman)
Well, I'm here to say I got turned away from Studio 54
Back to neon lights and lonely nights and saw-dust on the floor
And if she ever loved me, she don't love me anymore,
And if anyone should ask me, here's who I'm singing for:
For the people who read People Magazine,
For the soap opera lovers, for the home-town bowling team,
For everybody everywhere who's ever lost a dream,
For the people who read people who read People Magazine.
Now if you're too New York for Texas, too Texas for L.A.
You been chasing trends like rainbow ends but you're always just a song away
And if the White House wouldn't have ya, play in every little honky-tonk and bar
The good Lord made the Heavens, ah but He never made a star.
No, its the people who read People Magazine,
It's the soap opera lovers, its the home-town bowling team,
It's everybody everywhere who's ever lost a dream,
For the people who read people who read People Magazine.
And to tell you the truth this telephone booth gets lonesome in the rain,
But son, I'm 21 in Nashville and I'm 43 in Maine.
And when your mama gets home, would you tell her I phoned, it'd take a life-time to explain
That I'm a country-picker with a bumper-sticker that says: ?God Bless John Wayne?.
And bless the people who read People Magazine,
Bless the soap opera lovers, bless the home-town bowling team,
Bless everybody everywhere who's ever lost a dream,
For the people who read people who read People Magazine.
Bless the people who read people who read People Magazine.

The National Literacy Trust in Britain
did a survey and
- yes, you guessed -
57% read 'only a bit' or not at all
and 25% of the older ones said
they had no intention to
read any more than this
So what do they read when
they read?
Well, mags,
and websites
and txt msgs of course
and jokes,
and TV books and mags
and e-mails
and eighth on the list comes fiction
that's made-up stories, right?
right
then comix ninth
then newspapers well
they're just for people
who don't have TV and
don't mind waiting 12 hours
to read the news put that tenth
what's that? poetry?
sorry would you spell that
oh poetry nah
girls said, they read
to find out how other people live
and feel and
to help them understand
more about themselves
boys said, they read
because they have to and
because it helps them
get a job so
some old farts might say
put up a sign
civilisation's postponed until further notice
but it may all work out
well it'll have to

Another Saturday Night
Another saturday night and I aint got nobody
Ive got some money cause I just got paid
Now how I wish I had someone to talk to
Im in an awful way.
I got in town a month ago
I seen a lot of girls since then,
If I could meet em I could get em
But as yet I havent met em
Thats how Im in the state Im in.
Chorus
Another fella told me
He had a sister who looked just fine
Instead of bein my deliverance
She had a strange resemblance
To a cat named frankenstein.
Chorus
Its hard on a fella
When he dont know his way around
If I dont find me a honey
To help me spend my money
Im gonna have to blow this town.
Another saturday night and I aint got nobody
Ive got some money cause I just got paid
How I wish I had someone to talk to
Im in an awful, ooh, Im in an awful way,
Hes in an awful way, Im in an awful way,
Im in an awful way, hes in an awful way.

Sonnet- The World's Like This!
None of my people want to read my stuff;
None of my people want to share my love;
None of my people see my heart ain't rough;
None of my people seek my 'treasure-trove',
How much I yearn that they should read my rhyme!
How much I long that they should share my thought!
How much I want that they should spend some time,
To think of God and improve their soul's lot.
Oh, how I wish that they read what I writ!
Oh, how I wish they love Nature like me!
Oh, how I wish they see God bit by bit!
Oh, how I wish they get Eternity;
My Poesy can heal the wounds of heart,
In better ways than any drug or art.

Wing Pages Of The Butterfly
at the nursery
while people
are at purchase
and at transactions
a blue butterfly
comes by
and opens its pages to me
swift and quick
and it says to me:
'Read! Read!
Read my pages! '
'I can’t read, '
I say,
amused
at this brash butterfly
'Read and write!
Read and write
about me,
and all flitting butterflies
Read
and write, you silly! '
it commands
And so I read
and I copy
and these are the words
the words from those
pages
the butterfly
holds up to me

To Read And Read Again
TO READ AND READ AGAIN
To read and to read again
And to be left empty
By the abundance of words
Whose meanings multiplication
Erases all sense
Of their coherence
And our understanding.
To read and read again
As if in this pretence of learning
Salvation will come
To read and read again
And be forever dumb.

Awful
Swing low sweet cherry
Make it awful
Its your life, its your party, its so awful
Lets start a fire
Lets have riot! yeah its awful
It was punk
Yeah, it was perfect now its awful
They know how to break all the girls like you
And they rob the souls of the girls like you
Swing low, cherry, cherry
Yeah its awful
Hes drunk, he tastes
Like candy, hes so beautiful
Hes so deep like dirty water
God, hes awful
Youre lost, oh, wheres your daddy - its so awful
And they royalty rate all the girls like you
And they sell it out to the girls like you
To incorporate little girls
Hey, run away with the light
Run away its divine
Lets run away, yeah, tonight and
Well steal the light of the world
Swing low, sweet cherry, yeah, its awful
Youre ripe for the picking, its so awful
Youve got your youth
Dont waste your money
Yeah its awful
I was punk!
Now Im just stupid!
Im so awful
Oh, just shut up youre only 16
If the world is so wrong
Yeah you can break them all
With one song
If the world is so wrong yeah you can take it all
With one song
Swing low sweet cherry
Make it awful
They bought it all, just build a new one,
Make it beautiful...yeah

Preacher Needs More Ram
I took the modem off the podium...
Just before the preacher sneezed!
I asked a doctor in a pew...
If the sneeze would spread disease?
And Doctor Blye looked in my eyes,
As if I was there for church.
I looked him up and down and said,
'I am here doing research! '
I came to hook the preacher up,
To a new connection!
He wanted all his emails sent...
And downloaded to the chatrooms.
I came to hook the PC up for online sessions!
But the preacher is displeased...
'Cause the modem seems to need,
More ram!
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
I hear the people pat their feet,
When the preacher's sermon's heated!
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
I hear the people pat their feet,
When the preacher's sermon's heated!
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
I came to hook the preacher up,
To a new connection!
He wanted all his emails sent...
And downloaded to the chatrooms.
I came to hook the PC up for online sessions!
But the preacher is displeased...
'Cause the modem seems to need,
More ram!
oh Oh OHHH....
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
I hear the people pat their feet...
When the preacher's sermon's heated!
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
Ahhhhaaaayyy
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
I hear the people pat their feet,
When the preacher's sermon's heated!
I'm in the house of the Lord,
And the preacher needs more ram!
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
Oh Lord...
What do I do with the modem?
What do I do with the modem?
What do I do with the modem?
What do I do with the modem?

I recommend a live video hookup as well!

I found myself 'slightly' involved.'
