If the seams are showing, there is something wrong with the performance or the construction of the piece. This idea is completely at odds with our modern visual experience, because everything today is based on montage.

All You Ever Needed
( you got me wrong, completely wrong
You got me wrong, completely wrong )
I hope youre happy where you are
Youve been heading there for some time
Itsnot like you to complain
But then its not like you imagined
Life has changed but you shouldnt do
Ill remain the same around you
Dont be blind, look where youre coming from
Its all you ever needed
( you got me wrong, completely wrong )
You ll find fault with me warning you
Advice you should have heeded
( you got me wrong, completely wrong )
( you got me wrong, completely wrong completely wrong )
Over time you can find a way
Stop looking out for some sign
Theres a place now where you belong
Just to make it right in your mind
Im just trying to make you see
Youre the only one you have to be
Dont be blind, look where youre coming from
Its all you ever needed
( you got me wrong, completely wrong )
You ll find fault with me warning you
Advice you should have heeded
( you got me wrong, completely wrong )

You Bet Your Life
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Just another hunter, like a wolf in the sun
Just another junkie on a scoring run
Just another victim of the things he has done
Just another day -- in the life of a loaded gun
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life
Just another winner, pours his life down the drain
Just another island in a hurricane
Just another loser, like a cat in the rain
Just another day -- in the path of a speeding train
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life
Anarchist reactionary running-dog revisionist

Deconstruction primitive performance photo-realist
Be-bop or a one-drop or a hip-hop lite-pop-metallist
Gold adult contemporary urban country capitalist
Just another gypsy with a plastic guitar
Just another dancer with her eyes on the stars
Just another dreamer who was going too far
Just another drunk -- at the wheel of a stolen car
The odds get even -- you name the game
The odds get even -- the stakes are the same
You bet your life

Piece By Piece
She looks good
But shes not all together right
All the parts are not screwed on tight
Theres a touch of tragedy
When she moves
I can see the secret showing through
Shed deny it if she thought I knew
But she could never hide from me
Anyone would think theres nothing wrong
She looks so satisfied
But Ive known about her much too long
She cant conceal what she feels inside
Im going to show her that
Piece by piece
Inch by inch
I can put her back together again
Ill supply the love she lacks
And give her back
Exactly what she needs
Bringing it piece by piece
All I need to find a way around her defense
Is just a little common sense
I dont have a strategy
Ill be there, like I have so many other times
Shell reveal to me a certain sign
That only I can see
Anyone would think theres nothing wrong
She seems like shes complete
But its obvious its been too long
Since she believed what she needs is me
Anyone would think theres nothing wrong
But shes not fooling me
Everybody wants to lead her on
But I believe what she needs is me
(what she needs is me)

Under Construction
His accent serenades me
And presses at the door
Broken promise to be
Around for my mind war
And my accomplishments interrogating me
Todays become tomorrow
Before I wanted it to be
And desperate discussions
The start of the destruction
Our sign, in my mind
Ill be fine
Ill be fine
cause Im under construction everyone
So youll have to mind the mess
Im under some construction
I always had to try harder
I never really could keep up
Sitting in the corner
With my illness and bad luck
But in this humble place Im feeling like red wine
And I hope to get better
With some time
Ill be fine
With some time
Ill be fine
cause Im under construction everyone
So youll have to mind the mess
Im under some construction
Confection
Modification
Motivation
Of construction
And the rituals that soothe
And disgust me will be gone
With some time
Ill be fine
With some time
Ill be fine
Ill be fine
Im under construction everyone
So youll have to mind the mess
Im under some construction
Im under construction everyone
So youll have to mind the mess
Im under some construction
Under construction
Construction
Feel better with some construction

Come On And Get A Big Piece
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You thought had gone wrong.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
I can no longer make excuses for me.
I can no longer be that,
Tragedy!
Hey...
I can't,
Stay safe...
Knowing without you,
I'm all alone.
I stay,
Awake...
Wondering,
Who's now in your home...
Playing 'Daddy'.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You thought had gone wrong.
Come on and get a big piece.
A bigger than a big big piece.
Is there anything for me, boo?
Do you mind if I boo hoo too?
Come on and get a big piece.
A bigger than a big big piece.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.

An Idea
An Idea can change the world, how many
things can be done from an idea, every piece
of object was an idea, sense the beginning of
time idea was the first thought created in the
mind, an idea is what surround’s every being.
But an idea is still only an idea and it can't be
felt, you cannot touch an idea or kiss it, or hold it,
ideas do not bleed or feel pain or love, an idea
cannot be seen or heard, its created in our thoughts,
but then again an idea can become real. An idea
can be what ever you which it to be, an idea can
be destructive, an idea can be brilliant, I've seen
people get killed in the name of ideas, ideas,
we walk around with a little
light bulb blinking in our thoughts, ideas.

So far as modern science is concerned, we have to abandon completely the idea that by going into the realm of the small we shall reach the ultimate foundations of the universe. I believe we can abandon this idea without any regret. The universe is infinite in all directions, not only above us in the large but also below us in the small.

A Piece Of You
Im just trying to live this life of mine
The more I look, the more Im blind
And all I ask for is piece of mind
And all I want is a piece of you
Well I lost my way today
Back home from work
The snow fell like dust
I felt like dirt
Happens everytime I start to search
For that long lost piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
It seems the last time I was sure
Of anything
I sold my heart
I wore your ring
But now, the queen has lost her king
All I want is a piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you

The fundamental idea of these pylons, or great archways, is based on a method of construction peculiar to me, of which the principle consists in giving to the edges of the pyramid a curve of such a nature that this pyramid shall be capable of resisting the force of the wind without necessitating the junction of the edges by diagonals as is usually done.

Modern Dancing
Modern, modern, modern, modern dancing
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Modern dancing, modern
I see you acting modernly with the boys and girls
Exposure breeds discovery in the modern world
The 60's hairdos 90's eyes are just flashing lights
A touch of neon hinting class for the modern night
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Dancing
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Modern dancing, modern
Mono vision tv face and determined eyes
The clothes are perfect the rips in place just the perfect size
Familiarity breeds contempt but it doesn't show
We've heard the music times before but it still makes you go
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Modern dancing, modern dancing
Modern dancing, dancing
....variations to fade....

There Is Something Really Wrong About That
There's something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
There is something really wrong about that!
They're not based in truth of action.
Something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
Absent is the truth of action.
Nothing is said about that.
There is something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
There's something really wrong about that!
They're not based in truth of action.
Something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
Absent is the truth of action.
Nothing is said about that.
Truth has been manipulated.
Something is wrong about that!
And people now themselves they hate.
Something is wrong about that!
Racism is the indicator.
Something is wrong about that!
And how one lives is too debated.
Something is wrong about that!
There is something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
There's something really wrong about that!
They're not based in truth of action.
Something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
Absent is the truth of action.
Nothing is said about that.
We've all been underestimated.
Something is wrong about that!
The thoughts of people are degraded.
Something is wrong about that!
Deceivers seem too much elated.
Something is wrong about that!
And truth for us has been created...
With an ease that's made..
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
There is something really wrong about that!
They're not based in truth of action.
Something really wrong about that!
Those facts you ration.
Absent is the truth of action.
Nothing is said about that.
Something's really wrong about it.
Where are the facts?
Something's really wrong about this.
Who erased the facts?
Something's really wrong about it.
Where are the facts?
Something's really wrong about this.
Who erased the facts?
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Who is hiding facts?
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Keeping truth from action.
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Who is hiding facts?
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Keeping truth from action.
Oh there's something really wrong about that!
Who is hiding facts?
And why are facts held back?
The truth has been eliminated.
Something is wrong about that.
The truth has been eliminated.
Something is wrong about that.
The truth has been eliminated.
Something is wrong about that.
The truth has been eliminated.
Something is wrong about that.

Performance
We are all performers
on a daily stage,
each of us having a part
to play the best we can
from waking in the morning
to sleeping late at night.
Every performance
is watched from on high
and he sends us a message
when we get our performance wrong.
He tell us in his own way
how to mend the performance
that we gave,
then we go out and start
all over again,
only this time
to right the wrongs we made.

I don't rehearse films as much as opera or theatre. When I began directing films I thought a long rehearsal was a good idea. Experience showed me that the best performance was often left in a rehearsal room.

Honesty
Let's be brutal
Its stares you in the face
But no one seams to care
We say it
As often as we can
But no one seams to care
We open up
To say what we mean
But no one seams to care
So what's the point?
Of speaking up
If no one seams to care
But if you really mean it
And it comes straight from the heart
Then never give it up
Because at least you know you care
