I learned that kids in show business are so different from regular, average students. They would gather behind you and help you to succeed in any way possible.

I aint no christian or no born again saint

Im just your average guy
An average guy

Im average looking and Im average inside
Im an average lover and I live in an average place
You wouldnt know me if you met me face to face

I worry about money and taxes and such
I worry that my livers big and it hurts to the touch
I worry about my health and bowels
And the crime waves in the street

Kids are great. That's one of the best things about our business, all the kids you get to meet. It's a shame they have to grow up to be regular people and come to the games and call you names.

Chatterbox

Many say they can deliver,
But only few can receive.
Lips flapping nonstop...
Don't believe!

Ears may be wide open,
But the brain is shut closed.
Ignorance exposed...
Is there to show!

People think they get their blessings,
By listening to a preacher.
Fidgeting and sitting,
While nothing's sinking in.

Schools may hire teachers,
To give lessons to the kids.
But nobody cares,
What's in these quick heads of kids.

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

And 'this' is apparent.
Absent parents on the scene,
Pretending caring done is...their 'thing'.
With chatterbox nonstop...
As if a corn popping machine.
And that caring's not there,
Anywhere to be seen.

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

To compete in a global economy, our students must continue their education beyond high school. To make this expectation a reality, we must give students the tools they need to succeed, including the opportunity to take a college entrance exam.

Mzuzu academy

The school with intelligent students
Although we don't enhance performance of students
They still get good grades
As their good work never fades

Our navy blue blazers
Shine the whole campus like razors
Even symbolise our cleanliness
As the student who wears they assured faithfulness
Students are always alert
As they don't wear a uniform which has scarlet
When examinations came students work hard
To show what they are capable of doing in a card

In class participation matters
As the merit system anchors
As students are always active
As they dream big to achieve

The teachers are fair
As they are not harsh but calm like air
But do their job correctly
And make students pass neatly

You Have Not Yet Learned to Survive

You have not yet learned to survive.
I've heard you make excuses for it.
As you sit in the comfort of your parents' home.
Who provide amenities,
You use and they condone.

You have not yet learned to survive.
I listen to you pass your judgements,
On my appearance and how I dress.
And how I live alone,
Without complaints of being stressed.
And every bill I pay...
I do that on my own.
And that stress factor?
I have no reason to make that known.

You have not yet learned to survive.

You say you raise children?
Who are more with your folks than they are with you.
I have yet to see you do that by yourself.
Without complaining you have no social life left.
And you say your folks are always in your business.
If you stayed away and took care of it,
No one but you would know what that business is.

But you like to announce you have no life and two kids!

And then you tell me,
I don't know what life is about?
I don't know what it is to sacrifice?
Since I have it made living alone,
With no creditors ringing my phone!
And I am always at home I never go out!

Where 'is' your mind?
At Six Flags?
Or DisneyWorld?
Which one is it?

You have not yet learned to survive.
Not if you are relying on others,
To keep your lifestyle alive!

And I know you want to keep your 'lifestyle' alive!

Along with your siblings!
Who bring 'their' children...
For stops at mom and pop's.
To leave and come back when they please!

The ever filled reservoir of the school teacher

Teachers in India like to impart knowledge
So their students can have an edge
Their Students are their pride
Whom they proudly remember when they retire.

Gopal was from a small town
Where he studied his childhood lessons
Now he had money, fame and fortune
And to show it to his teacher he returned.

To come along with him he requested his poor teacher
But teacher said it is not the rule of Mother Nature
He being here for many students like Gopal can show way
As water flows but the river stays! ”

My Last Day

It was a day like any other:
I shaved, I ran the shower.
The bus was right on time.
My necktie was green, like lime.
I stepped lively off my stop;
On the regular corner the regular cop.
My office bristled with business;
I felt a little dizziness.
The only difference from that day-
All the best, all the rest-
Was that it turned out to be my last.

Accurate statistics

‘Sir, there are two coaches to Agra.
Which would you prefer? ’

‘The one where the average age is less.’

‘Granted, the one where it is thirty,
The other being forty.’

The journey began to the dismay of
The lad who found himself among
Kids and their grandparents,
Whose average age is twenty
Whereas the other coach consisted of
Teenagers and their mothers.

How misleading the statistics is!

First Year University Expereinces

I learned why it is not wise to skip class often

I learned that skipping homework in university is not the same as skipping homework in high school

I learned what it feels like to be awake for over 2 days

I learned how to smoke pot from a bong

I learned how to compose an essay the day before it's due

I learned that the Freshman 15 is no joke

I learned how to do laundry

I learned to pretend to be happy

I learned to multitask

I learned to be more sociable

I learned why my parents and teachers warned me about the difficulty of university

I learned that failing is expensive

I learned small things, like freshly washed bed sheets, make me happy
I learned to lie

I learned how expensive alcohol is

I learned what it feels like to be a failure

I type this rant while skipping my business ethics class as I further delay the composition of my psychology term paper

Theres No Business Like Show Business

Theres no business like show business like no business I know
Everything about it is appealing, everything that traffic will allow
Nowhere could you get that happy feeling when you are stealing that extra bow
Theres no people like show people, they smile when they are low
Even with a turkey that you know will fold, you may be stranded out in the cold
Still you wouldnt change it for a sack of gold, lets go on with the show
The butcher, the baker, the grocer, the clerk
Are secretly unhappy men because
The butcher, the baker, the grocer, the clerk
Get paid for what they do but no applause.
Theyd gladly bid their dreary jobs goodbye for anything theatrical and why?
Theres no business like show business and I tell you its so
Traveling through the country is so thrilling, standing out in front on opening nights
Smiling as you watch the theater filling, and theres your billing out there in lights
Theres no people like show people, they smile when they are low
Angels come from everywhere with lots of jack, and when you lose it, theres no attack
Where could you get money that you dont give back? lets go on with the show
(theres no business like show business like no business I know)
You get word before the show has started that your favorite uncle died at dawn
Top of that, your pa and ma have parted, youre broken-hearted, but you go on
(theres no people like show people, they smile when they are low)
Yesterday they told you you would not go far, that night you open and there you are
Next day on your dressing room theyve hung a star, lets go on with the show!!

Culture Abyss

I recently with two high-school students conversed
And alarmingly learned they weren’t at all versed
In the musical heritage of our American nation
It was a sorrowful show of their culture isolation

It’s not that these kids were doltish or dumb
They were as a matter of fact bright as they come
After minutes with them, one couldn’t refute
Their learned mastery of the digital compute

They’re well schooled in kilo, giga and megabytes
Consumed with computers in utter delight
But the well rounded person, is one who stands tall
Who knows the tech-world is not the be and end-all

I’m distressed to be the sad news reporter
That these bright kids never heard of Mr. Cole Porter
An American icon of music and wit
It’s a short-fall of ours, I humbly submit

“Duke Ellington, ” they asked, “Who’s that dude”?
And Gershwin, forget about, they hadn’t a clue
That it’s not a requisite to be musically inclined
Is no excuse to be culturally blind

I was fearful so didn’t mention Mozart or Bach
Though I’m sure they knew about Rap and Hard Rock
We’ve a TV, Computer and I-Pod generation
Who have fallen victim to culture deprivation

They’re probably unacquainted with the likes of Van Gogh
Who’s accountable for their lack of exposure I really don’t know
Hopefully they’ll emerge from this culture abyss
There’s so much out there, they deserve not to miss
