Everytime I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red
And what the hell is on Joey's head
And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out
And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times
I wonder if it's too late
Should i go back and try to graduate
Life's better now than it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down
We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel
Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change
Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Grey Eyes
SHE glanced across the path to me,
Grey eyes!
Her looks were kisses plain to see.
I gave her glances back to her—
Glad eyes!
She saw the lifting of despair.
From memory a face looked out,
Dim eyes!
No years could sour that love to doubt.
My soul would nevermore be lone—
Bride's eyes!
Hearts still were waiting for my own.
Our souls uncurtained then, perchance—
Deep eyes!
Each built an epoch in a glance.
Out of her fellowship so free
Light eyes!
She gave some gladness unto me.
And I gave? As we turned apart—
Dead eyes!
I saw the shudder in her heart.

Costs crores
Costs crores
To train a pilot.
No body can fly
Without pilot.
You are my only pilot
I cost nothing
It is you to take my flight
Without any hazard.

Memory is very important, the memory of each photo taken, flowing at the same speed as the event. During the work, you have to be sure that you haven't left any holes, that you've captured everything, because afterwards it will be too late.

Torn Picture
I found it in my box today,
A photo that I tucked away.
It had a pretty smiling face
In another even happier place.
It use to sit upon my desk
It got me through the worst, into the best
If I couldn't smile that day at all
I just took a glimpse of the photo, and feel the walls
Fall away, fall into dust beneath my feet-
Where earth and man doth meet.
That was till the dark clouds came,
When I found that people often change.
That those we trust oft are our enemy.
When those who chain us, once set us free.
In the midst of the storm, the photo stood,
Daring questions of whoever would.
The symbol of eternal hope,
Something on which I could grab hold.
But hope without help, eventually dies,
And the photo was tucked away with all my files.
One by one, the pictures of you were ripped up
Till there was none of you to remind me of.
But this one photo, hidden away amidst other mail
The one last tangible memory of a fairytale.
Twas today I took hold of its corners,
And watched it tear, till your face was just a blur.
Goodbye to all your lies-
The mask behind which you hide.
Watch the shredded pieces fall in the bin,
Watching as a new life begins.

Distant Light
Distant light flickers an invitation of hope.
In reaching it, there will be sanctification.
Dimness that surrounds the eyes
will be forgotten.
Black holes that open the heart
will be discarded.
Let the distant light come closer.
Let the distant light be a friend.
Shallow water cannot drown soul.
It can only hinder the passage.
Dampening the spirit as it frolics
like a moonbeam across the mind.
Distance lends unhappiness.
Let the distant light shine bright.
Let the distant light be a guide.
In closets of blackness the hands
seek an opening in the shadows.
They find nothing, but the eyes
focus on a distant light that
calls like a radio in the night.
Let the distant light embrace.
Let the distant light be closer.
In an emptiness of broken glass
there is a pattern to salvation.
Frame the light like fire in the glance,
walk towards it. Find escape.
Let the distant light be strong.
Let the distant light shine forever.
What is the distant light that shines?
What is its meaning in a journey?
This is an answer not easily explained.
This is a hope not readily known.
Let the distant light continue.
Let the distant light always shine.

Making Love With Memories
You poked my blurring eye,
Let me lift your mushy breast.
We aged onwards
While you stroked flaccidity –
Recalling decades of
Blood-gorged coming, shuddering to boot.
I kissed a venerable mouth
Crammed with falsities –
Once brilliant keys
Guarded by crimson lips
Washed by a sensual tongue.
And so we writhed in wrinkles,
Tiring effort, and
Memories.

Noctournal Emissions
Well I'm lying in bed sweating staring at the ceiling, in my brain I have painted a beautiful picture of you, I'm not even going to try to fall asleep tonight, I don't want to lost the picture in my mind, in my mind.
[ Chorus ]
Then I close my eyes and quickly drift away
magically transported to another time and place
hold away
magically transported to another time and place
hold you in my arms and we go whirling through the air
going all four directions, heading straight for nowhere
I wake up in cold sweat come to grips with reality
take a deep breath lay back down wearing my badge of infamy
when the bulb in my nightlight flickers, flickers, flickers and dies, I'm left alone, staring at my ceiling once again
[ Chorus ]
It's my nocturnal emission

Thank You for the Memory
My body tingles as I lay there still feeling your body wrapped around mine
I close my eyes and notice that there is nothing I can do but dream
For you have left me here with nothing but a memory
A memory of what we had what we were
A memory of nothing more at this time nothing to have to look forward to
My heart aches as I open my eyes and turn to see nothing but an empty bed
The scent of you makes me wonder what could have been
It makes me wonder what went so wrong
We had something that could never be replaced and not it has vanished right before my eyes
You think that the memory will be nothing more than a picture
They say “A memory will last a life time”
I say “A memory will only last a life time as long as you can keep it alive inside of your heart”
There is one thing that should be said
Thank You for the memory that will last me a lifetime of joy

the greatest
among us
he knows
only war which
makes him great
in one thing
alone
I know
of waiting
what the horizon
safe keeps behind
its ear
of love, yes

your top knot my hand
unknotting
your long hair my

sudden
startled
wildness of laps

so very

a clutch of stamens
Arrival at last -
the fallen petal

Dream again
of moonlight
of sewing
that work of warriors
naked needling of seams
In this dream
I know the pattern well
so near to hand

I do not breathe
do not wish to disturb
Dawn just
light fingers

In your dream
a gentle

with waves
the gentler subsiding
slides up
my torso

Never again will I go to war

Already

From childhood our song:
Hurry awake sleepy bee
Softly sings the breeze
To sweetness we are called
when the sun high shall be
freshened with tears our parting

silk pouch of my gated heart
it will be a hard arrow to pierce it

Wait Until the Flame Flickers
When the trouble you start goes on...
You're the one who tries to leave it.
When the heat you strike,
Begins to ignite an invited...
Long lasting chance to burn.
And that's what you come to me to get!
A stirring up of an argument.
Yelling and screaming.
To later be together close...
And in nakedness.
You want this inside you,
Deep and thick!
'I don't get it.'
Then you don't need it!
I mean I've got it when you give it.
But when it's given...
'Who are you when that happens?
Where does that 'you' I know go? '
When the trouble you start goes on...
You're the one who tries to leave it.
When the heat you strike,
Begins to ignite an invited...
Long lasting chance to burn.
You wait until the flame flickers.
And the poppin' of it stops.
You wait until the flame flickers.
With a need to cheat to start.
You wait until the flame flickers.
When no heat is meant to be.
You wait until the flame flickers.
And the poppin' of it stops.
You wait until the flame flickers.
With a need to cheat to start.
You waited until the flame flickers.
When no heat is meant to be...
For you from me,
Left here to be used to give.
Now...
Now.
Now...it's gone!

A Faraway Light.....
light always amazes
me in the dark,
like a firefly that is lost
in the night
it flickers to the view
of my tired eyes
and relaxes me a bit,
like a lighter of a cigarette
in the dark alley of
the slums,
the light that gives me the much needed smoke
to allay some fears
of our
series of deaths,
to appease these
internal wars
unseen by the eyes of
fading humanity
it is the same light that is promised
us
'at the end of the tunnel'
when in the middle of this lost-ness
we have nothing to drink and eat
and no one to talk to
when we see not even the shadow of a bat
of a leaf
because it is too dark and damp
and damn
dead silent,
when i think that it is only i that exist
and no one else
when in the extreme coldness of the silence
like the tip of a metallic knife
one can only remember
abandonment and
betrayal
and killing of one's own brother
kin and
friend and child
every bad thing has always been possible
they all happened and they can never leave you again
they are the tattoos of your
soul
it is only light that can comfort you
and it is very faraway.

Chells 1957
One sided off centre
we sit as family
In two tone past
Being then being memory
Dad yes self image
Mum the illness there
And me-Half stated
in the space between
A family group photo
Attended by two dogs
Candy the light one
Duke the black one
Each mastering their space
Sitting and panting adoration
We are shadows posing
A triptych of heirarchy
Where are we looking
Posing into the lens
Issuing a mission statement
As we sit waiting
For the shutters of time
To instruct our future
The light of events
To cast the position

Involved
No light shines so bright within some people.
You can tell those from others...
Who shy away from consciousness,
As if it is a burden of a thinking process
They have selected not to have.
Those with 'light'...
There is a 'willingness' to learn,
That is present in their eyes.
'Something' gives feedback that life is being involved.
It flickers from inside of them!
It sparks!
It glows.
And it is apparent they are here to enjoy the experience.
Everything done they do becomes an exchange of attractions.
They are 'involved'.
And they may not be aware of it at all!
It seems out of place,
To hear a complaint come from them.
That is rare.
Like observing a comet for the very first time.

Prose Poem lll
wore a rhapsodic expression, her body swayed to inaudible music. Then I gasped. Anyone could see the girl in the picture was surrounded by a wreathe-like aura of white light that shaped itself into what seemed very clerly to be arms and legs and the back of a head. Dutifully I read the article., leaning against the wall.
Alas, just as I thought, the girl in the photo was Eileen, at her niece's wedding in Missouri snapped by a family member, a number of years ago. The article explained how the girl in the photo danced with her father each year on his birthday. That gentleman had died of a stroke some months before the wedding at the age of ninety after a lifetime of perfect health. The wedding had been scheduled on his birthday for reasons of sentiment. The light in the photo was the ghost of her father, the article insisted, visiting from the land of Tir Na Nogh, and interrupting his rest to dance with his daughter on this special day.

Look in the Quiver
Chandeliers and Candelabras;
Twilight moonbeams
and Stealthy Kisses
are arrows in Love's Quiver
and strike the Heart True.
Furtive Glances
Silver Yearnings
Pining Sighs
melt there too.
Deep Remembrances
photo shots
dinner places;
touching hands
demonstrate
the edge breached
between attraction strong
and Love's Need.
For need itself is in-ward bred
and howls in the warm night
with eyes of softened gravity
which causes all to fall into
the Soul Well.
Some say I did not intend
to slip and drop;
I had no desire to be enraptured so
thinking Love's Call was an act of will.
But no.
Does the Sun will itself to rise;
the Moon to shine?
Does heavy dew in morning mist
decide one day to be dew light?
Crash down one final thought
carry it to Logic's Door;
leave there a simple note:
'Love is
Not By Choice.
Love is God's gift
of Joy.'
Given only
to Openly Innocent
never the Cynical.

Light
The light, it flickers
Your light, travelling down so deep
Illumination
I have been cold, I have been blind
You have come to change my mind
I can put my faith in you
The light, it blisters
Your light, coming down so bright
Transformation
Turn it up, give me some room to grow
Turn it up, give me that sense to know
I have been cold, I have been blind
You were sent to change my mind
I can put my faith in you
For something ordinary
It's so extraordinary
I trust, I put my faith in you
In you
In you, in you
In you, in you
The light, it glitters
Your light, when I stand this close
It's almost blinding
Turn it up, give me some room to grow
Turn it up, give me the sense to know
I have been changed, I have become
I am flame, I am sun
I'm the reflection of you
For something ordinary
It's so extraordinary
I trust, I put my faith in you
In you
In you, in you
In you, in you
In you, you, you
For something ordinary
It's so extraordinary
I just, I put my faith in you
In you
In you, in you
In you, you, you
It flickers
It blisters
It glitters
In you, in you
In you, you, you
You are
