I think it's because it's so different and it takes risks. Plus, it's really smart humor. It gives the audience credit in terms of not needing to tell them when to laugh. I love that about the show. There's no laugh track.

Laugh Clown Laugh
Laugh Clown laugh,
that's what they want me to do.
I guess I'm doing something right
because this Clown made you laugh too.
Laugh Clown laugh,
make everyone laugh real hard.
Besides, Who would it hurt?
Will anyone notice
how it has scarred?
Laugh Clown laugh,
but only for a while,
at least until you see
that the humor is in your denial.

A Walmart Parking Lot
To laugh at life
You have to have,
A perpetual sense of humor.
If you laugh,
They say,
The life you live,
Will potentially,
Last much longer.
I am sitting in the dark,
Stranded,
In a Walmart parking lot,
And finding it,
Hard to laugh.
I cannot see the humor in,
My current situation.
I am desperately in need,
Of some comic revelation.
Then suddenly,
It dawns on me.
And I can see,
My poetry,
Is witty confirmation.
With words and rhyme,
I laugh at me,
And thus embrace,
Salvation.

Laugh Out Loud
Have we lost our sense of humor?
We must laugh on every day.
For without laughter life is dull
Like a stage without a play.
Funny little quips that people say
are the gems that sparkle and shine
Right within a placid soul
that's in need of bright sunshine.
So laugh inside, laugh out loud,
Laugh whenever you can.
And when you think you've laughed too much,
laugh out loud again.

Laugh
If you can’t laugh at yourself a lot,
You’re not enjoying the life you’ve got.
The greatest source of humor on earth
Has followed you all around since birth.
Into your mirror laugh or at least smile
And be happy for at least a while.
A good laugh will slow that clock down;
Just as it speeds up with every frown.
Laugh at things that make you sad.
You’ll find out they really aren’t so bad.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter XXII: Laugh
there's laugh, forced laugh
laugh, gentle rejection without word
laugh, looking sympathy with laugh
laugh but actually doesn't laugh
hiding anger, hiding pain
cheerful laugh but alone inside
why you try hard to impress people?
tired and wounded more
laughing your foolish joke
and crying life in the dark room
laugh for yourself
laugh with your heart
and you'll never regret to try an honest laugh

My brother was a great audience, and if he liked the picture, he would laugh and laugh and laugh, and he would want to keep the picture. Making people laugh with an image I had created... what power that was!

Laugh
Love laughed at you and made you blue
Now heres what you should do
Well laugh, though your heart is breaking in two
Yeah laugh, dont let them know he hurt you
Well laugh and pretend true love will come again
Yeah laugh, laugh and laugh
Laugh, though the one you love is really gone
Yeah laugh, even though youll be alone
Yeah laugh and pretend true love will come again
Yeah laugh, laugh and laugh
Well let me hear you laugh now
Though its hard, so hard for you to do
Laugh with me, cos you see
Ive been there too
Well laugh and pretend true love will come again
Yeah laugh and believe its not the end
Yeah laugh like a clown
Dont let your heart break down
Yeah laugh, laugh and laugh
Love laughed, its true
But look at you
Now youre laughing too

We don't have a laugh track, which helped Seinfeld a lot, and did kind of tell people when to laugh. It just made it a lot easier. Our show doesn't have that, so it's hard for Middle America to catch on.

The Beast In Me
To smile, I smile,
To laugh, I laugh,
But in me,
Hate breads,
A desire so confound,
In me another fire burns,
To hate is my curse inside,
To joke, I joke,
Humor is my liking,
In me,
Am drowned,
With a desire to kill,
Even those that I love,
In me,
A beast takes rest,
That’s my love,
From it my peace is derived,
From it I can`t run,
Coz in me it dwells.

My Life Will go on
I laugh
and I cry
and will cry...
and I laugh.
I cry
and I laugh
and will laugh...
and I cry.
My life will go on
even without...

So I cry....
and will laugh.

Sense Of Humor For Reece Kay
i laugh so hard about your joke
i'll take the hints
of the sneeze and the orgasms
and the tissue
and some pepper
the woman on the the train with you,
now laugh,
i also laugh with you, yet not knowing me
really
we are miles apart, and you with your
present problems
losing one of your identities
this danny reynolds, you tell me
i do not have they say
this sense of humor,
Loll
Lol,
it is unjust to say the least,
in my country one day
i was admitted to the maternity hospital
on bloated stomach
filled with laughter
they think
i am pregnant.
(ulol!)
oh, lol!

Please, O God of Humor
Please, O God of Humor, give me the gift of being funny
naturally funny
so I can produce poetry and verse that tickles
and makes readers laugh so much their coins roll out of their wallets;
and let the children roll on the floor when my poems are recited;
for indeed my humor is the worst online by any standard
(or lack of standard)
for when I publish poems meant to be funny
my readers never understand me
and what I thought funny, they think tragic
and what I thought was tickle-tickle material
they find pathetic and practically laughable;
I am lectured to or consoled by readers
when I attempt humor;
I am sent e-mails and spam of advice
and words of caution when I attempt to be witty;
and my 113th poem
on the funny side of social networking
brought sympathy and pity for my lack of friends
but no appreciation for what I thought was funny;
and my 213th poem on old ladies at banks
brought outrage at me for hanging out at banks to ogle at wealthy, old ladies;
my 3131th poem on religion, the Divine
and its Power-packed representatives on Planet Earth
provoked no laughter but the ire and wrath of the other God
(you know, not you the Laughing God,
but the Other One, the Only One, the Angry Jealous God)
really neither man nor beast
nor the Highest Being in heaven
truly
nobody laughs at my verse
and nobody finds my offbeat humor at all funny;
Oh please,
God of Humor,
please make my humor a little like that of
Mr Bean or Jim Carrie
so I can have a universal audience
that will laugh at anything I write
(and perhaps incidentally, I’ll make some money)
and then they’ll all say:
See what the God of Humor and Laughter has done
for that simpleton Raj who never knew what humor in poetry is…
Please God of Humor, won't you humor me?

Im Gonna Laugh You Out Of My Life
(cy coleman, joseph allen mccarthy)
Im gonna laugh you right out of my life,
Laugh, and forget this affair
Guess I was foolish
To care.
So Im gonna dance you right out of my dreams,
Try to be carefree and gay
I guess Ill learn to play
The part.
cause when our friends begin that
Heartless rumor,
I know Ill really need my
Sense of humor.
Im gonna laugh you right out of my life,
Make it a beautiful joke.
No one will know you broke
My heart.
But if I find you and i
Really meant that last goodbye,
Then Im gonna laugh so hard,
Ill cry.
~interlude~
But if I find you and i
Really meant that last goodbye,
Then Im gonna laugh so hard...
Ill cry.

Thats all i know
I can't explain
How i feel about you
You're my hero
You're the one who pulls me through
I can't explain
Just quite how much i love you
It's all here in my heart
I just need to get it across to you
You are all i believe in
The faith that i'm needing
The hope i can see
The blood that i bleed
But i
But i... always need you
You're all that i need
To pull me through
I can't laugh till you laugh
Cry till you cry
It's all a system
I must abide
I love you
That's all i know

I'm Down
You telling lies thinking i can't see
You don't cry 'cos you're laughing at me
I'm down (i'm really down)
I'm down (down on the ground)
I'm down (i'm really down)
How can you laugh when you know i'm down
(how can you laugh) when you know i'm down.
Man buys ring woman throws it away
Same damn thing happens everyday
I'm down (i'm really down)
I'm down (down on the ground)
I'm down (i'm really down)
How can you laugh when you know i'm down
(how can you laugh) when you know i'm down.
We're all alone and there's nobody else
You still moan: "keep your hands to yourself!"
I'm down (i'm really down)
I'm down (down on the ground)
I'm down (i'm really down)
How can you laugh when you know i'm down
(how can you laugh) when you know i'm down.
Don't you know that i'm down (i'm really down)
Don't you know that i'm down (i'm really down)
Down on the ground (i'm really down)
Don't you know that i'm down (i'm really down)
Down, down, down.

Sometimes There's Three
There’s two sides to every story
And sometimes there’s three
You can take a trip around the world
To simply cross the street
I know, ‘cause that's what happened to me
Laugh, laugh
Even the jester has to laugh
When everything turns upside down
It sometimes helps to laugh
There's two paths on every journey
And sometimes there's three
You can meet your fate on the same road
You took to avoid it
I know, 'cause that's what happened to me
Laugh, laugh
Even the jester has to laugh
When everything turns upside down
It sometimes helps to laugh
And at the crossroads, don't turn and look away
Let it kiss you on the face
And then have a laugh
There’s two women in your life
And sometimes there’s three
You can make a wish upon a star
Only to find it land in your street
I know, ‘cause that's what happened to me
Laugh, laugh
Even the jester has to laugh
When everything turns upside down
It sometimes helps to laugh
There’s two people fighting for your mind
And sometimes there’s three
Each mask you wear at different times
Till one fits comfortably
I know, ‘cause that's what happened to me
Laugh, laugh
Even the jester has to laugh
When everything turns upside down
It sometimes helps to laugh
And at the crossroads, don' turn and look away
Let it kiss you on the face
And then have a laugh
