The other advantage is that in conventional manufacturing processes, it takes a long time for a factory to produce an amount of product equal to its own weight. With molecular machines, the time required would be something more like a minute.

Manufacturing takes place in very large facilities. If you want to build a computer chip, you need a giant semiconductor fabrication facility. But nature can grow complex molecular machines using nothing more than a plant.

Protein engineering is a technology of molecular machines - of molecular machines that are part of replicators - and so it comes from an area that already raises some of the issues that nanotechnology will raise.

A potato can grow quite easily on a very small plot of land. With molecular manufacturing, we'll be able to have distributed manufacturing, which will permit manufacturing at the site using technologies that are low-cost and easily available.

One of the concepts essential to molecular manufacturing is that of a self-replicating manufacturing system. That concept has lagged behind in its acceptance.

A Minute Of Your Time
For you to think of me
It would only take a minute of your time
To spare one thought for me
Would you miss just one minute of your time?
When you are far away
I'd like to be part of your time each day
So think of me
A minute of your time
Is all it takes to bring us close
When we are far apart
And if I'm on your mind
I know that there's a chance
You'll ind that I'm there in your heart
One minute ev'ry day
May help to keep the wolf away
Until that moment you are back to stay
But better still I'd like to think of me
Ev'ry minute of your time.

Youre Just A No Account
S. cahn / s. chaplin
Youre just a no account
You never will amount to nothin at all
When there is work to do and someone yells for you
You dont hear them call
The good lord set aside his sundays
For folks to rest
More that one days rest is wrong
You start restin sunday and rest so hard
Youre tired the whole week long
Youre just a no account
You never will amount to nothin at all
I just cant figure how each time you milk the cow
The tit gets so small
We got machines to do your work for you
But you wont press the button on the wall
Youre just a no account
You never will amount to nothin at all
Youre just a no account
You never will amount to nothinal all
I just cant figure how each time you milk the cow
The tit gets so small
We got machines to do your work for you
But you wont press the button on the wall
Youre just a no account
You never will amount to nothin at all

Facts About Cheese
When the price of cheese was so low a few years ago that the
dairymen seriously thought of giving up the manufacture
of cheese and of selling their cows, we published the fol-
lowing lines and distributed them by the thousand :
Price soon will rise, though now 'tis low,
And brooks of milk will onward flow ;
Were it collected in one stream
There would be floods of milk and cream.
Mr. T. D. Millar has just secured, Sept., 1884, the first prize for cheese at the great
cheese fair at Amsterdam, Holland. They weighed over 600 pounds each, and were
manufactured by the Burnside Factory of Dorchester. The Galloway Factory is manufacturing
several cheese weighing one ton each. The mammoth cheese, alluded to in cheese ode,
was manufactured by Mr. James Harris, Ingersoll Factory. The Dnnn Cheese Factory, North
Oxford, secured first prize at the great Centennial Exhibition, but where all factories
produce such excellent cheese perhaps it would be making invidious distinctions to specify
the honours won by any particular factory. The West Oxford Company have recently built a
fine factory on the Culloden Road.

Calipso
The sun is slowly fading in the western sky
Sometimes it takes forever the day to end
Sometimes it takes a lifetime
Sometimes I think I'll never see the sun again
There's a heavy fog between me and the mountains
It's enough to make a grown man sit and cry
It's enough to make you wonder
It's enough to make the world roll up and die
I think it's kind of interesting the way things get to be
The way the people work with their machines
Serenity's a long time coming to me
In fact I don't believe I know what it means
In the east a shaded moon is hanging lazily
I do believe I saw the old man smile
I do believe I did
I do believe he's been laughing all the while
I think it's kind of interesting the way things get to be
The way the people work with their machines
Serenity's a long time coming to me
In fact I don't believe I know what it means
Anymore
The sun is slowly fading in the western sky
Sometimes it takes forever the day to end
Sometimes it takes a lifetime
Sometimes I think I'll never see the sun again
The sun again, sun again woo oo oo .

Carry That Weight
Boy, you gotta carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time
Boy, you gotta carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time
I never give you my pillow
I only send you my invitation
And in the middle of the celebrations
I break down
Boy, you gotta carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time
Boy, you gotta carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time

Peace Of Mind
You know it takes a long, long time
You know it takes a long, long time
You love her so and still you know
That you will never want to let her go
Unless you leave her first
Then you come out on top
But, still theres just one thing
You havent got.
Peace of mind
Like when you treated her kind
Its hard to face that open space.
You know it takes a long, long time
You know it takes a long, long time
When first you gave and shared your soul
Showed her all those things that take their toll
She knows your weak spot
But, she still gets you hot
So you do it again
Reveal what lies within.
And go for peace of mind
Like when you treated her kind
Its hard to face that open space.
Youre lookin for peace of mind
Anywhere you can find
Still searchin for peace of mind.
You know it takes a long, long time
You know it takes a long, long time.

Factory
Days are long but the minds are strong
In the factory
Heads are down and all the people frown
In the factory
I'm so down I put my head around every noose I see
Days are long but the minds are strong
In the factory
Eyes are mean but the walls are clean
In the factory
Patience now they're gonna string you out
In the factory
I'm so tired I never go outside every night I sleep
Days are long but the minds are gone
In the factory

Dont Turn Me Away
You and I dont have to hurry
Take your time now dont you worry
Let me know what youre going through
Theres a troubled look on your face
And it would only take the time
It takes, for me to talk to you
And now and then weve got to question
Am I right, I may be wrong
And the only way we can work it out
Weve got to try to give and take
And it will only take the time
It takes for me to talk to you
But dont turn me away
Open up your eyes now
Making up will only take a minute
Dont turn me away
Listen what your heart say
Making up will only take a minute
Breaking up is hard to turn around
You cant be living in emptiness
Youve been lonely too long
But dont go making me promises
When you know that youre wrong
Youre not true
So when you find out where your heart is
Let me know
Ill be waiting for you
You and I dont have to hurry
Take your time now dont you worry
Let me know what youre going through
Theres a troubled look on your face
And it would only take the time
It takes, for me to talk to you
But dont turn me away
Open up your eyes now
Making up will only take a minute
Dont turn me away
Listen what your heart say
Making up will only take a minute
But you know, well you know
