YOU Are An Inspiration

You want me to create for you a job?
So you can do what?
Pester me about your lunch breaks?
Make personal phone calls at my expense?
Call in sick once every two weeks?
Get upset because someone else deserving,
Gets a raise?
Lie about being harrassed on the job?
Do much less than what is expected?
And then demand more pay...
Benefits.
Vacation time.
And expectations for a promotion...
To further expose your incompetence?
AND have a union back your laziness too?

I produce a product to be sold,
At a price people can afford.
And I can not do that,
Paying you much more than that product is worth.
Plus,
You want me to pay for your luxurious lifestyle.
When it would be more lucrative for me to get you,
A full time psychiatrist and use you as a tax write-off.

Hey...
I think I'm onto something.
YOU are an inspiration.

Jobs?

Jobs?
They don't want jobs.
Not the ones they exclaim,
Can make a down payment...
On credited fantasies.
And they want to be able to pay for them.
They want money.
And lots of it.
They are above pushing a broom.
They've been spoiled by 'entitlements'.

That's why those who created those jobs,
Found a cheaper way to produce their products...
Now being made overseas.
With more sweating they get,
From grateful and pleasant employees.
Not discussing their retirement plans,
Or increments of expected raises.

Those employers wanting to survive,
Have prioritized their needs as well.
With a paying of those interested in creating quality...
And not those more involved,
In discussing where they vacation...
During a two hour lunch break.
While complaining what the boss makes...
Or who shops where for a price making eyes pop.
As they within eight hours do exactly what they please.
To leave a job before it is time...
Completing nothing that is due.

Jobs?
They had jobs.
And complained 'aliens' were taking them away.
When blacks began getting tips waiting on tables,
It was soon discovered how they were no longer qualified,
To do menial work.
Since 'some' folks began to realize,
Those menial positions could become very lucrative.

When you think of a movie, most people imagine a two hour finished, polished product. But to get to that two hour product, it can take hundreds or thousands of people many months of full time work.

Quality in a product or service is not what the supplier puts in. It is what the customer gets out and is willing to pay for. A product is not quality because it is hard to make and costs a lot of money, as manufacturers typically believe. This is incompetence. Customers pay only for what is of use to them and gives them value. Nothing else constitutes quality.

Eroded

Everyone wants what they want...
Yesterday.
Prepackaged,
And ready to meet their demands.
To be used!
At their descretion and availability.
To fulfill their needs and comforts.
When the time permits.
And 'if' that time fits the mood!
There is one thing missing,
With this kind of attitude!
A willingness to sacrifice,
That which is desired to exchange communication.
And too many seek to be pleasured,
As if on vacation!
With expectations.
As they commence to holding auditions,
For a production they wish both to direct and produce!
With beliefs their non-involvement,
Is going to provide a perfect relationship...
To be staged and presented without flaws.
And when that doesn't happen...
It is always someone else's fault.
Someone to accuse and abuse,
For their lack of comprehending the rules.
Loyality, devotion and complete subservience!
And this is the quality of life,
So many are finding has eroded from their realities.
A fantasized existence...
They've been indoctrinated to believe can be theirs,
Without a price to pay.
OR...
With little invested but an expected huge return.
At someone's expense but not their own!

Once Again I Write...

This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
I write to save my sanity.
I write to ease my heart.
I write to cleanse my soul.
I write to feel alive.
I write to keep my mind strong and my thoughts clear.
I write my words of sorrow, despair, pain, and love, as well as words of wisdom.
I write so that one day someone will truly know me.
This paper, this pen is once again my inspiration.
It is the inspiration to what I see.
It is the inspiration to what I hear.
It is the inspiration to what I feel.
It is the inspiration to the art I create.
It is the inspiration to what I draw.
It is the inspiration to the love for my daughter.
It is the inspiration to the love for my husband.
This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
Once again I write to say thank you my timeless friends.
Thank you for saving me time and time again.

Professional Jealousy

Professional jealousy, can bring down a nation
And personal invasion, can ruin a man
Not even his family, will understand whats happening
The price that hes paying, or even the pain
Professional jealousy, started a rumour
And then it extended, to be more abuse
What started out as just, black propaganda
Was one day seen to be, believed as truth
They say the truth is, stranger than fiction
But a lie is more, deadly than sin
It can make a man very, bitter and angry
When he thinks that theres someone, is going to win
Professional jealousy makes other people crazy
When they think youve got something that, they dont have
What they dont understand is its, just not easy
To cover it all, and, stand where you stand
Professional jealousy, makes no exception
It can happen to anyone, at any time
The only requirement is, knowing whats needed
And then delivering, whats needed on time
The only requirement is to, know what is needed
In doing the best you know how, deliver on time
The only requirement is, to know what is needed
Be best at delivering the, product on time.

Pain Of Existence Without.....

It was pain of existence without your phone calls.....
This pain was not related to time, as time moved on.....
but the pain remained, pain and more pain....
without a phone call from you........
Time started moving, but there was no phone call, , , , , ,
I was lost with the acute awareness of this great pain.....
pain and more pain......
I wish I could tell you how much your phone calls mean to me, , , , ,
what if we have not met, what if we have not seen each other
but dear your phone call is what makes me pull through my day....
your voice is a magic to me, it is music to my ears....
but dear you never called.... and the pain remains...
The pain reminds me of the wonderful times we had....
the long phone calls.... your voice, your silence, , your moans
all this was so wonderful, which meant so much to me....
but dear you never called........
come back and call me dear...... and tell me how much I mean to you
call me once my love........
I wait for your magic voice, for all wonderful things you tell me....
for all the beautiful moments over phone we had.......
I wait with great pain, pain and pain.....
Just to hear you..... or get a message from you
Your messages are my breakfast, my dinner, , , ,
I sleep thinking of you hearing you, reading you...
I wake up to read your message..........
But dear you never called you never messaged....
come back just once my love come back
I just want to tell how much I miss your voice.............

Expectations Of A Hospitality

Let's make this clear,
Between us.
What you wish to do,
At the expense of my time...
Is not permissible.
I see that as blatant disrespect.
And you might not ever understand this.

But,
You inviting 'your' friends over to my home...
With expectations of a hospitality,
None of you get...
Should not make you upset at all.
Regardless if you did call,
To ask if I minded some company.

'I thought you and I were friends? '

Yeah.
But I'm not prepared to host,
An unexpected party.
Whether it is a 'surprise' one or not.

Counting Dollars Clocked For My Efforts

I've heard it said,
But not as often these days.
How I had it made.
And others 'have' to work.
Although today,
There is an economic crisis.
And many passing their judgements,
Are not so free to critique.
With a shutting done of their lips.

And I use to let these comments upset.
But I stopped recently to think to myself...
They could not be referring to me.
Because I've been working all my life.
Doing things that I like.
And not having the benefit to call in sick.

None of which,
Affords me the time to sit doing nothing.
Or to complain to anyone,
About getting no pay!
As they...
Those in positions to complain AND get paid,
Take money and run on their pay day.
With the doing of one thing most of their lives.
And have the time to mind someone else's business!

Well...
With many today hoping those pink slips given,
From them look the other way!

And if I wished to have a position like that,
I wouldn't be spending sleepless nights...
Toiling as I do something I like.
I'd be spending time entertaining myself.
Or find the time to dine.
Ruining my diet with an unnecessary appetite.
Sitting to gossip about someone's life.

And here I am after many years...
Without the benefit,
Of lunch breaks and two weeks of paid vacations.
While doing fourty five minutes of daily labor!
To then say how easy someone else has it!

Don't we all make choices?
I can't be the only one who remembers this!

So fortunate I am to count my blessings.
Even though there has been times I wished,
I was counting dollars clocked for my efforts.
I'd have a condo on Jupiter by now!
But...
God has my back.
And so grateful I am for that!

Can Still Make Cheyenne

Her telephone rang bout a quarter to nine
She heard his voice on the other end of the line
She wondered what was wrong this time
She never knew what his calls might bring
With a cowboy like him, it could be anything
And she always expected the worst
In the back of her mind
He said, its cold out here and Im all alone
I didnt make the short go, again and Im coming home
I know Ive been away too long
I never got a chance to write or call
And I know this rodeo has been hard on us all
But Ill be home soon
And honey is there somethin wrong
She said, dont bother comin home
By time you get here Ill be long gone
Theres somebody new and he sure aint no rodeo man
He said, Im sorry its come down to this
Theres so much about you that Im gonna miss
But its alright baby
If I hurry I can still make cheyenne
Gotta go now baby
If I hurry I can still make cheyenne
He left that phone danglin off the hook
Then slowly turned around and gave it one last look
Then he just walked away
He aimed his truck toward that wyoming line
With a little luck he could still get there in time
And in that cheyenne wind he could still hear her say
She said, dont bother comin home
By time you get here Ill be long gone
Theres somebody new and he sure aint no rodeo man
He said, Im sorry its come down to this
Theres so much about you that Im gonna miss
But its alright baby
If I hurry I can still make cheyenne
Gotta go now baby
If I hurry I can still make cheyenne
She never knew what his calls might bring

Paying The Price

If for no other reason they exist,
Those who have chosen to self destruct...
Have done this very effectively.
This is not a negative wish.
This is an observation of it.

And they seem to be the ones,
Who approach life from a superficial point of view.
With no depth, no insight, no ambition.
And certainly no respect or discipline shown,
To themselves or others...
They accuse for their lives of 'bad luck'.

Quick to critique the deeds of others.
With expectations to be served.
Since living to take without giving...
And use what and whoever it is,
Without replacing that with acts of gratitude...
Will not from them rise high on their agenda.
Although blaming with a fault to find is what they do.

And abuse themselves and whom they choose,
If not getting on demand what they wish...
Is not on someone else's list to prioritize,
They will promptly deceive with a getting of it.
No matter how blind the eyes in denial.
Or the expense others pay,
To refuse to accept truth.

And usually,
As time goes by...
And today time flies.
They are not alone or by themselves,
When it comes to paying the price.

They are we and we are them and all of us,
Are in this 'thing' together.
And not one of us is a Walrus.

Use of Methods

The marketing of peace,
Has ceased to be as lucrative...
As the selling of conflict and fear.
And the benefactors are doing their best,
To create a fresh disease.
Since the levels of panic,
Have become less effective as expected.
And the use of methods no longer linger,
To upset the celebration of holidays.

Perform to become a monk and yogi

We perform our duties
Assigned to us
More often than not
Either with anxiety or expectation
Over the rewards or otherwise
Of the product
This ends up with
Either not meeting the requirements
Of the beneficiaries or customers
Or in presenting them with a product
That is beyond their expectations
Both ways
The beneficiary or customer
Accepts the product of our efforts
With a certain bit of reluctance

Krishna talks about a performer
Who performs for the sake of
Performing only
With no anxiety or expectation
On the rewards or otherwise
Of the performance

He says such a performer can also be called
A monk, who, in fact, renounced all
Result-oriented action
And he is also a yogi
Well focused and involved
In what is being performed

Krishna further adds such a person
Should not be categorized as the one
With no fire of desire
For innovation, improvement and
Envisioning and for developing
Systems that will prevent possible
Deviations from the product quality

Such a performer
Should also be not categorized as the one
With no sensitivity
And reacting sense to
Take corrective actions
With regard to process flow
In case a beneficiary or customer comes up
With a complaint on the product
For its non performance
And for its non-conforming to
Specifications desired by him or her

Balancing On The Edge Of Jeopardy

Children are a strange commodity.
A product of our teachings...
And a reflection of the environment.

Like unnecessary attachments,
Sometimes they can be.
So innocent and sweet when born...
To grow into untamed weeds,
We pray to bloom into prized accessories.
Yes!
Compared to those 'things',
We pride ourselves to keep.

We hope our lessons teach them well.
But no one really knows,
In what direction our children will eventually...
Choose to go.

Children,
As we believe we know them...
Are a strange commodity.
A product of our teachings...
And a reflection of the environment.

And 'if' the environment isn't condusive,
To the mental health of our 'kids'...
Any future we perceive that is deserving that comes,
Can either be brightened with enlightenment...
Or hang nervously balancing on the edge of jeopardy.

And,
Our expectations void of consistent encouragement...
May be a bit too high for them to fly without obedience.

In April

I sit on my pillow
My cat on my head
I hear your voice, boy
And cant forget
Your kisses were cold and
Full of loneliness
Hold deep sadness
With my hands
I wont be here - I wont be there
I will write another story
And my tears
Will create
Will create a lake of sorrows
Chorus:
But in april it sounds like love
When you call
You call my name
You call my name
But in april it sounds like love
When you call
You call my name
You call my name
You call my name
The door is open now
I have to go
The moon shines brighter
Than it did before
The clock strikes twelve
Theres no time
Time to sleep
Well go upstairs
Straight to the sky
Im not here - Im not there
Took a ball point pen to write you
And my tears
They create
They create a lake of sorrows
Im not here - Im not there
Took a ball point pen to write you
And my tears
They create
They create a lake of sorrows
Chorus
The door is open now
I have to go
The moon shines brighter
Than it did before
Was not here - was not there
