I never felt I was quite the ticket academically. I always felt I had to put in an enormous amount of effort not to be disappointing. So I worked really hard, but at the time it suited me, because I didn't do very much else.

Didnt Know
Didn't know what you had
Until you lost it
Didn't know what you own
Until you got it
Didn't know of your sins
Until you fought it.
Didn't know what you needed
Until you sought it.
Didn't know your lies
Until someone spoke them
Didn't know of the truth
Until someone wrote them
Didn't remembered your dreams
Until someone awoke them
Didn't know they died
Until someone chocked them.
Didn't know you had guilt
Until you cried
Didn't know you felt sadness
Until you tried to hide
Didn't know you felt shame
Until you lied
Didn't know you believed in GOD
Until you asked him why.
Didn't know you felt sorrow
Until you shed a tear
Didn't know that you were scared
Until I saw your fear
Didn't know that you hated
Until you were near
Didn't know that you were unhappy
Until you looked in a mirror.
Didn't know who you truly were
Until your ways you sewed
Didn't know that you were evil
Until the truth was showed
Didn't know you did this before
Until I saw all of your woe
Didn't know who you really were
Though I wished then I did know.

Good Night
There's never been a time...
I felt you looked at me with pride
There's never been a moment...
I felt you knew how hard I've tried
I've never lived a day...
Without feeling I'm to blame
I've never felt deserving...
For myself, I feel only shame
I'm tired of doing wrong...
When I try so hard for right
Yes, I've failed at life...I know...
And now, with love, I say good night

You really should not do this job unless you're willing to put in that enormous amount of effort. You should not do the job unless you're willing to take risks. And you shouldn't do the job unless you're willing to lose the job, too.

Bodhisattva Nightmare
i felt the bullet
as your body fell,
the sickening gasp of light
lost in the void...
i felt the empty
of your stomach turning,
as you staggered weakly
down that long dusty road.
i felt the bone crushing pain
as he struck your face,
again and again....
i felt the sickness
of the stench of the alley...
i felt the fear and despair of the cell,
the not knowing when
it was going to come...
i felt the hatred and fear
they tormented you with,
for who you loved,
and the way you lived....
i felt the hopelessness
of the hard ass streets,
the gun in your pocket...
the monkey on your back....
i felt.... and still feel!

I Didn't Think I Had The Strength To Love Again
I thought I didn't have the strength to love again! ! ! !
I didn't believe in the power of love until you came in my life and loved what I thought was was gone in me.
The person who became covered with seasons of unwanted stuff and I felt like I gave so much of me that I became empty.
And it was at that place that I just wanted to give up on love because I felt that love didn't love me no more, and was sent to drain my heart to the very core.
But when I first saw you, you help me see that I was giving so much of me away that I didn't save anything nothing. And a tear fell from my eyes and in time I truly felt your love poured back into my life! ! ! ! when I thought I didn't have the strength to love again! ! ! !

You Never Know
You never know
Some folks think the world just moves too slow
But was it you
Told me I'm your everything you
[Chorus]
Hit me like I never felt before
(Hit me like I never felt before)
Hit me like a sucker punch
Running to the car and now you're
Hit me like I never felt before
Stealing for the last time
You never take
A promise from a man who sheds his skin
Had to wait
Formed my aching heart to break it
[Chorus]
Now everyone gets angry
And I feel it when you're holding me
In the right place
At the right time
To the right degree
It's greater than for the great I found
For dealing with your own ??scene??
You know that it ain't easy
(That ain't easy)
(That ain't easy)
(that ain't easy)
Hit me like I never felt before
(Hit me like I never felt before)
Hit me like I never felt before
(Hit me like I never felt before)
I'm stealing for the last time

Struggle for Time
Time sits still when you want it to pass
Tic-Toc goes the seconds, Re-united at last
But this Time, I felt like the clock was against me
It didnt want this to happen
Yet Time for you, gave you time to be
to be yourself and to above all be free
But time for me, felt like slavery
Locked down in a prison of bitter-sweet savory
Time for you gave you time to let others in
Time for me stopped, I couldnt tell when again It'd begin
While Time worked against me, I fought back in a counter-clockwise direction
Pushing the forces of time in reverse,
But then I realized fighting time, let Time win
Because time ran on its own schedule
And though time is of the essence, time hasnt given me his blessings
And now Time for me, has run out
Time took hope with him too
Just when I thought time took all that it could,
Time rushed back in, and took all that was good
Time left me broke, so I worked hard for that overtime pay
But Time rushed back in, and took that away
I said I'd get it another day
So Time decided to leave me stuck in the past
I decided to sleep. Hoping Time would leave me atlast
And leave my eloped hope with me, and all that is good in peace
Time left in my dreams that night, And i woke up to the
Tic-Toc of the seconds, and I was re-united at last

Never Felt So Alive
Written by ricki & kim wilde
Why do I seem to confuse you
Do I lose you
Do I really look so strange
A woman alone is a danger
Is a stranger
She is better off in chains
Oh, how can it be youre happier now
Dont you feel half of you has gone
Sorry to say Ive never felt so together
Ive never felt this strong
Im on my own again
And its never felt so good
(Im on my own)
I dont feel broken hearted
Dont feel that I should
Im on my own again
Hard to believe but I never felt so alive
Why do you want to control me
Try to own me
Like a pet youd like to tame
Dont look at me like Im crazy
Thats just lazy
Cause its you thats got to change
Oh, how can it be youre happier now
Isnt it lonely on your own
Sorry to say my loneliest days have gone
And Ive never felt so at home
Im on my own again
And its never felt so good
(Im on my own)
I dont feel broken hearted
Dont feel that I should
Im on my own again
Hard to believe but I never felt so alive
Im on my own again
After all the years inside
(Im on my own)
Ive destroyed all the things that hurt me
Rediscovered my pride
Im on my own again
Hard to believe but I never felt so alive
Feels so alive
I feel so alive
Im on my own again
And its never felt so good
(Im on my own)
I dont feel broken hearted
Dont feel that I should
Im on my own again
Hard to believe but I never felt so alive
Feels so alive
(Im on my own)
I dont feel broken hearted
Dont feel that I should
Im on my own again

The odd thing is, I don't consider what I do work, because it's what I love. But it is also an enormous amount of pressure, and you have to work an enormous amount of hours.

Tryin' On Clothes
I tried on the farmer's hat,
Didn't fit…
A little too small - just a bit
Too floppy.
Couldn't get used to it,
Took it off.
I tried on the dancer's shoes,
A little too loose.
Not the kind you could use
for walkin'.
Didn't feel right in 'em,
Kicked 'em off.
I tried on the summer sun,
Felt good.
Nice and warm - knew it would.
Tried the grass beneath bare feet,
Felt neat.
Finally, finally felt well dressed,
Nature's clothes fit me best.

Disappointing Daughter
Meet their disappointing daughter,
with her disappointing ways.
They would oh-so-love to humour her,
but it really never pays.
What's wrong with that girl, anyway?
She's always in a daze.
Why won't she join in with their games?
Her brother always plays.
It's not that they're ashamed of her -
but some of her displays -
and, let's face it, in public, too...
Such a disappointing daughter:
imperfect;
human;
got drunk when younger;
went out with a few dodgy blokes,
when younger -
such a disappointing daughter,
with her disappointing - unforgivably
disappointing - ways.

Pretty
Sunshine, been keeping me up for days
There is no night time, it's only a passing phase
And I feel pretty, pretty enough for you
I felt so ugly before, I didn't know what to do
Sometimes is all I feel up to now
But it's not worth it to you
Cos you gotta get high somehow
Is it destruction that you require to feel
Like somebody wants you, someone that's more for real
Sunshine, been keeping me up for days
There is no night time, only a passing phase
And I'll feel pretty, another hour or two
I felt so ugly before, I didn't know what to do
I felt so ugly before, I didn't know what to do
I felt so ugly before, I didn't know what to do
Ugly before

Collide
I felt my heart collapse
On the day that I met him
I felt my heart collapse
It filled up to the rim
I felt my heart collapse
When my eyes traveled 'round
I felt my heart collapse
The one I had found
I felt my heart collapse
When he first touched my skin
I felt my heart collapse
Oh it seemed a lovely sin
I felt my heart collapse
It fell without a sound
I felt my heart collapse
Oh I knew I had found
I felt my heart collapse
When we shared that first kiss
I felt my heart collapse
I thought that I would almost miss
I felt my heart collapse
I was lost in his embrace
I felt my heart collapse
I kept staring at his face
Oh my heart collapsed on that day
Ever since it's been that same way
My love for you has not faded
Ever since the day it escaped

Conversation between Me and my Heart
Its hard to live sometimes,
hard to die sometimes,
hard to survive sometimes,
hard to keep it in sometimes,
dumbshit watchu waitin for,
dont live like a hollow basket,
fill in some fruits,
there is brightness on the other side,
give life second chances,
it doesnt happen every time that who you loved pulled the trigger to shoot
i know you scatter in a million pieces of glass,
and you wounded yourself in collecting them and putting it back together,
i understand that the pain was absolute!
but its mistakenly said it happens once,
next time might happen with greater intensity,
remember when the glass when wasnt broken,
was filled with the intoxication of wine from the top till its root,
its hard to fall on your own sometimes,
hard to standup sometimes,
hard to walk again sometimes,
hard to move on sometimes,
but hell yeah, i stood up with much greater determination,
tried searching everywhere since long,
all went in vain,
the feeling of failing over and over brought me pain,
hope flying away,
disappointing the dreams once again i mended,
i felt like driving in the wrong lane,
but you could have pretended,
i tried many people,
they just flushed me down the drain,
and i fall for it again and again,
this is what happens when the heart conquers,
you forget to use your brain,
its hard to rewind sometimes,
hard to staybehind sometimes,
hard to stop cryin sometimes,
I found someone really like me,
i thought this would be great,
i trust myself better than the rest i hate,
i soon fell in love with that me,
felt like together to be,
she showed me new things like i showed to people,
took me outta my mind, over the seas
My heart of glass,
felt good as new,
thought of you....
...with together to be with,
told you what i felt like...
how stupid of me,
i just forgot what i used to be....
its hard to understand what im about to say sometimes,
it would be hard for you to think about it and not cry over it sometimes,
I Love You is the only sentence
and not a question which demands an answer,
you have no idea how it feels like how the heart gets slaughtered,
how much it hurts when you say the 3 stupid words and dont hear it back,
im no more a lancer,
oops, i missed!
that was a bouncer,
its nobodies fault and no ones to blame!
Love it self is a silly stupid game......

Queen
You use to treat me like a king
Oh how well loved I felt
I felt I was your everything
So secure I would melt
Now I feel beaten like a dog
Totally confused and spent
And so with sadness, desire fades
Struggle thru each day all bent
I no longer laugh at all these ways
Much less hold my head up high
So beaten that I crawl hands all crazed
Worked hard to hide how I cried
All this effort to build a life
Now no matter how I try
You greet me with your shattered screams
So abuse that each day I would die
Soul crippling and wrought with pain
I don't feel much loved, less desired
No comfort or pride- as my health subsides
Just weighted, bone dead and tired
A victim of your selfish self
All strewn about and shattered
A parcel in your ratted wealth
I'm left to be alone and battered

Letters I Didn't Write
I wish you could have read…
The Letters
that I failed to write
I wish you could have felt the touch…
Of hands that failed to
reach out at night
Would’ve liked for you
to have heard…
Words I couldn’t say
Would’ve liked to have felt
The emotions missed…
When I failed to ask you to stay
What you didn’t feel…
When you didn’t hear …
The words I didn’t say
I wish you could have
At least…Felt the love
That you didn’t feel that day
I wish you could’ve known …
The feelings
that I didn’t show
The words I couldn’t bring to light
And tell you
Long ago
I wish somehow,
you could know now
Of things you knew not then
Of words I didn’t say or write
Of touch, or love
Of things... that might have been

Once You've Picked Your Ticket
Once you've picked your ticket,
And there is a magic felt with it...
That's the ticket for you that fits.
One picked better than none,
To leave a numbing to overcome.
Take this ticket with you and run.
Exit from others who choose to bicker,
As if this makes their lives lived...
Done richer yet sickens a thickened,
And 'bummed' out atmosphere.
But you can clear the air you breathe,
By a counting from ten to one...then flee.
Once you've picked your ticket,
And there is a magic felt with it...
Exit from others who choose to bicker,
As if this makes their lives lived richer.
You can clear the air you breathe instantly,
By a counting from ten to one...then flee.
