I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.

In My Soul
In
my soul
there is a temple, a shrine, a mosque, a church
where I kneel.
Prayer should bring us to an altar where no walls or names exist.
Is there not a region of love where the sovereignty is
illumined nothing,
where ecstasy gets poured into itself
and becomes
lost,
where the wing is fully alive
but has no mind or
body?
In
my soul
there is a temple, a shrine, a mosque,
a church
that dissolve, that
dissolve in
God.

No Time For Love
I have no time for love
All my time is for work
I have no time for Church
Though I love Religion
And God of the Religion
What do you say
Those Religious hipocrites pray
And I steal
Blessings are not just for those
Who kneel
But for the once who heed
What the Holy Book preach
But I do not care what you think
And I do not love you
I do not love Church
Though I love Religion
And God of the Religion

Al-Aqsa is in DANGER!
The mosque in our dear country Palestine
The mosque that is pumping in our hearts
The mosque that should belong to all Muslims
The mosque that is slowly falling apart
Where the Zionists have stepped in
With their dirty hands and shoes
They have touched our holy mosque’s walls
The Zionists including the Jews
They are digging tunnels under our mosque
Hoping the Al-Aqsa mosque to collapse one day
They are hoping to build their own Jewish temple as a replacement
That they won’t even let the Muslims enter their mosque and pray
the Jews and the Zionists have stepped in our Holy Mosque
Doing what they please
Purposely stepping in with their dirty shoes
And forcing our Muslim brothers and sisters to leave
How can we stay silent?
And our silence is the cause
Of all of the destruction happening in our holy mosque
Caused by our enemies’ filthy jaws
Al Aqsa mosque belongs to all Muslims
Not just the Palestinians alone
This mosque is our life
This mosque is our home
The Jews and the Zionists have stepped in
Where the prophet (peace be upon him) and his followers once stayed
Our enemies are standing in our mosque with their unclean bodies
On top of the grounds where our beloved ones once prayed!
The Arabs’ silence MUST end
Where we can finally pray in our mosque and here the prophet’s beautiful, echoing sound
And we shall say “No, you Zionists and Jews. THIS IS OUR MOSQUE! ”
“AND YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO STEP A FOOT ON ITS GROUND! ”

Too Cold For Prayer?
The houses of worship have grown too cold.
I can't get warm in them
with all their gold.
I leave the church. I look around.
Pitiful people do I see
listening to the sound
of children starving as they cry.
I feel cold
and I ask God why?
Why do they kneel and sing and pray
in places too cold
on each Sunday?
The answers I get are all the same.
They pray to God
in a ritualistic game.
Well, I pray to God on every single day
in my own temple
in my warm way.

Church Of Desire
(sambora)
Woke up in a cold sweat
In the middle of the night
Seems like a lifetime
When youre wondering whos wrong or right
One confession would resurrect the truth
Revenge or forgiveness for sins between me and you
Now we dance with the devil down lonely
Street, lonely street
Looking for a window in the house of tears
Living in hell, I pray the rain disappears
Im headed for a breakdown
And the fever runs higher
As I kneel at the altar I can feel your fire
In the church of desire
Church of desire
You never find a reason why love falls from grace
Some kind of voodoo, like a spirit you cant embrace
Theres a voice in the mirror, and a ghost in my heart
That relives the passion before we were torn apart
Now we dance with the devil down lonely
Street, lonely street
Looking for a window in the house of tears
Living in hell, I pray the rain disappears
Im headed for a breakdown
And the fever runs higher
As I kneel at the altar I can feel your fire
In the church of desire
Church of desire
Now we dance with the devil down lonely
Street, lonely street
Looking for a window in the house of tears
Living in hell, I pray the rain disappears
Im headed for a breakdown
And the fever runs higher
As I kneel at the altar I can feel your fire

All Innocent Souls Saved
There are many countless
who will not now act
to defend youth innocence
to protect innocent souls
in a religion their acclaimed faith
a temple a church a mosque
preferring choosing
to holy reputation protect
instead of protecting lives
protecting innocent souls
while our creator watches
all names in the Book of Life

Love is god and god is love
Love is God and God is love
"Love is God and God is love" all may say
I found no name that actually professed these words to lay
I bow my head to preachers who really follow the spirit
And guide the masses to bow their head and touch the feet
It has become customary and now a show business
Visit temple, mosque or church in order to confess
It is good on the part of human being to obey
And learn the teachings by heart and pray
Many may be seriously praying for universal happiness
So many may be secretly donating for the serious cases
Yet the genuine concern occupies the religion centers
As they have to rush to the needy poor to cater
All said and not done in true essence
We swear by God but speak lies in his presence
We only object blasphemy but in real life act contrary
General awareness with staunch followers is necessary
I weep with tears when see the Christ on cross
What a feeling in mind with complete remorse
Why did we commit cruelty when He was our messiah?
I feel great when hear churches bell ring or hear the name of Allah
I may be illiterate in literally terms
It will be of no use to look at holy book to turn
The writing may cut little in my mind
Yet I know it is great message from him to find
What has he not done for mankind as whole?
Tolerated all cruelties and found body with holes
"Give them some sense not to repeat ills"
I shall not deviate from my path even if they kill
Such a saint or God is not among us
But his spirit prevails in form of trust
We believe each and every word
Cry with open mind and far of no sword
"He may guide us to nobility"
Make us capable and worthy
O supreme god and almighty
You are our savior, messiah or deity

Religion (This is what You have Done)
Relogion O religion!
This is what you have done
From chaos we were brought
Into a world with love.
We are the Christians
With Christ we entered Jerusalem triumphantly.
O Jesus, mighty saviour, truely you are Christ!
After death you rise
It's my my pride you're on my side.
We are the Christians
Of a thousand century
With Christ we rise
With love we followed Jesus
And together we made the Church.
Religion O religion
This is what you have done
From Chaos we were made, into a world with love.
Praise be to Allah
Who oversees all
And we are the Moslems
Wih Mohammed we followed
And entered Mecca triumphantly
And together we made the Mosque.
There is no God but Allah
To Him there shall be all praise.
And to Mohammed His prophet
Showed me the way to Allah
In the Heavenly.

I Saw God
i saw god...
in the small child shunned,
playing alone.
in the pregnant girl scared,
still a baby herself.
in the young man going off to war,
chest stuck out, and knees gone weak.
in the angry young man,
who learns to read in prison.
in the old woman in the empty house,
every wrinkle a chapter of love.
in the stray cat curled
against my leg.
in two young men in love,
kissing on the steps of a church.
in the family living on food stamps,
day work, and faith.
in the addict with the guts
to go into rehab.
in the body in the funeral home
that no one came to see.
in the couple married for twenty five years,
survivors of struggle, passion, and despair.
in the jobless shuffle of the heads down line.
in the old man fishing with his grandson,
in the mother teaching her daughter to pray.
in the poet, the carpenter, the farmer,
the doctor, the garbage man, and the cashier.
in the bride and the groom,
even the murderer and the victim!
in the anger of the protesters,
in the sin, and forgiveness.
in the black, the white, and every color between.
in moonlight pouring through poverty's window....
yes, i saw god...
never entered a church, a temple, or a mosque...
i merely entered the heart
of the living... and touched!

When 'bedug' Sound
when 'bedug' sound
the call 'sholat' come
the human being come
to mosque
worshiping Allah, hungering for peace
at heart, hereafter fast
one day full of
during one month
while another come to church
wihara, temple worship the same God
merely differ the name and mention
but intrinsically one
the peaceful expert
which during the time we look for
at face of a world of tearing
by war at all points

Arabian Questions That Must Be Asked
They say that the mosque is being built
To promote American/ Arab ties
But you know that’s all a lie.
If you want to heal the American wound
Move it away- it’s much too soon.
You are adding insult to injury
That is something I can not see.
You say that the burning of the koran
Is disrespectful to the Arab world.
Well! How do you think that America feels
When our rights you are trying to steal.
We have the right to protect something
That is sacred to us.
So in your decision we’ll put GODS trust.
We must both ask ourselves some questions
Before you make that decision.
How can the Arab nations build a mosque
In the area of devastation?
What if Americans did something to your
Mosque in retaliation?
Or is it that you want the u.s. citizens to retaliate
So you can say that it is fate?
What is it that you have planned
That you’re determined to take this stand?
Are you going to build the mosque
To blow it up yourselves and blame the u.s.
To get support from other Arab nations?
These are questions that we must ask
Before you start on that task.
“GOD” no matter what he may be called
Is in us one and all.
Let us all stand up for one another
Let us really become sister and brother.
Let us stand up to hunger, poverty, and hate
Let us stand up before it’s too late.
Let us stand up for 9/11
So that all the world can see
That this will live throughout history.
Build your mosque if you must
But let us keep the memory
Of where the twin towers used to be.
Put your mosque far enough away
Where Americans can go to pray
And honor the ones who died that day.

My Religion
Let Romanists all at the Confessional kneel,
Let the Jew with disgust turn from it,
Let the mighty Crown Prelate in Church pander zeal,
Let the Mussulman worship Mahomet.
From all these I differ—truly wise is my plan,
With my doctrine, perhaps, you'll agree,
To be upright and downright and act like a man,
That's the religion for me.
I will go to no Church and to no house of Prayer
To see a white shirt on a preacher.
And in no Courthouse on a book will I swear
To injure a poor fellow-creature.
For parsons and preachers are all a mere joke,
Their hands must be greased by a fee;
But with the poor toiler to share your last "toke"*
That's the religion for me.
Let Psalm-singing Churchmen and Lutheran sing,
They can't deceive God with their blarney;
They might just as well dance the Highland Fling,
Or sing the fair fame of Kate Kearney.
But let man unto man like brethren act,
My doctrine this suits to a T,
The heart that can feel for the woes of another,
Oh, that's the religion for me.

Sonnet- Be Tolerant
The God-believer stops and thinks of God;
He folds his hands, repeating his God's name;
He prays when he's reminded of his Lord,
And for his sins, he bows his head in shame.
Let any man believe in any God;
The God-Believer's better than atheists,
And let him build anything for his Lord;
All men must be better than earthly beasts.
Let man worship in steeple, tower, dome;
And let him call it Church, Temple or Mosque;
And let man call God Allah, Jesus, Om!
All men are sinners, pardon, he must ask.
If man loves God, his neighbors, man must love;
By forgiving, the rest he gets above.

Ode to Houses of Worship
my heart just refuses to be bound
i walk into the hindu temple
to savour the myriad manifestations
of the formless God, who can take any form
i walk into a buddhist temple
knowing that all the manifestations
wont help us one bit if we dont help ourselves
to heaven, nirvana, syurga, tiang tang
God can be a wine we lose our mind in
if we do not take him in the right way
whom we go to favours without fail
draining the blood of a thousand animals
in the mad scamble for favours in this sin laden realm
forgetting the task to liberate ourselves
buddha's wise dharma has brought us to our senses
that the soul is our responsibility and ours alone God or no God
and animals cannot walk us to God
if we dont even have a heart for them
I walk into a Christian Church
knowing that the love of God knows no bound
that as much as we sacrifice for him
he too would be ready to sacrifice for us
i walk into a mosque
knowing that there is but One God
a formless Spirit that dwells in us all
that listens and talks to us day in day out
dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn anywhere, any time
that all the earth can be burnt down to
just one simple thing - ash
because we all come from one source,
one nature and One God
i walk away with an open heart
knowing that i have read all the scriptures
with an open heart, knowing that if the heart is closed
to words of love, of kindness, to men to animals
that if i have a heart closed to all these
heaven's doors too will be close when i am there

Kill The Evil
It’s a beautiful land
It’s a home for many
Many lived with peace
Lived with unity and love
With smiles on each face
Children play with its mud
Farms dance with its soil
Rivers flow on its bed
Flowers glow all around
Nature loves that land
Life is very simple there
Children go to school
Men and Women work
Old ones enjoy life
People lived happily
People pray in church
People pray in mosque
People pray as they wish
It has different beliefs
But all are united
Its unity is questioned
Questioned by an evil
Its name is ‘WAR’
It bombed that land
And killed everything
Destroyed homes of many
Many lived in fear
Many cried in pain
In pain of lost ones
Taken away by evil
Some can’t kick football
Some can’t write proper
Some tears can’t run down
Many got wounded
Wounded by the evil
Schools got bombed
Books got burned
Playground in silent
Kids didn’t grow up
Evil axed even tulips
Farms caught fire
Fruits weren’t picked
Rivers flowed red
Water wasn’t tasted
Evil ruined the nature
Church bells stopped ringing
Mosque no longer stands
Culture no longer rejoiced
Beautiful land is ragged
In the hands of evil
Evil, who’s name is WAR
Its only aim is blood
Blood of many innocent lives
Life is the gift of god
God’s message is peace and love
So let’s spread his message
And kill this evil forever
And free this world forever
Forever from its bloody hands
Into the hands of peace forever

Some Have Steeples. Some Don't
What do I think of church?
'Yes! '
Church?
Like in 'church' church?
'Yes! '
Well...
Some have steeples.
Some don't.
Some have people.
Some wont.
Some are religiously political.
And some are politically religious.
My vehicle is my church.
And that's all I care about.
'Oh?
So your 'car' is your church? '
Oh.
No no!
My 'body' is my church.
It is my sanctuary.
Now...
Keep in mind,
I am not devoted to keep it as pure,
As it should be.
But I do the best I can,
Not to be led away by temptation.
But everyday I pray to be forgiven,
Of those 'sins' I know I should not enjoy!
However...
You can find me anytime,
Self righteously defending...
My point of view.

The True God
You often go to your house of worship for to try to purge your soul of sin
To kneel and pray to your God somewhere out there do you not have a God within?
The God of kindness and compassion does not live in the big World out there
If that is the God you are praying to you are wasting your time and your prayer
You ignore the God that's within you to your unseen God you are true
Though you look down on the financially unsuccessful people who are poorer than you
If you were in touch with the God within you then you would not think in this way
You would look on all people as equal and only good of others would say
If you cannot love the God within you the love of self you do ignore
For if you cannot love self you cannot love others so often we've heard that before
Goodness from self only can come and in our God within we do find
Love of self and others and compassion and what it does take to be kind
You kneel in your great house of worship for to pray to the God you don't see
But the true God is living within us in you and in others and me.

I Went To Church Today
i went to church today
and as it is customary
at dawn
a sacrifice so to say
for advent's sake
i join in the singing of
the hymns
i sit and stand and kneel
i recite my prayers
on paper
i look at the pulpit
and listen to the
priest saying the homily
i sit and stand and kneel
i look around the corners
i follow the lines of the pillars
i look at the center of this
church majestic in its
art and architecture
i look at the corners
and at the seats filled with
my own people
i was looking for the face
of God
his shadow even
is not there anymore.

Jerusalem / Land of God
Jerusalem
Home of Saints and Prophets
All of them prayed there
with tears
I Pray
Yester
was last day
in the last year
All people
thinking
about themselves
and their families
myself
thinking of you
Because I love you
I love Jesus
the merciful
and i love you
I prayed
that you be
land of God
Land of Peace
Town of Love
Land of Jesus
Town of Jesus
The merciful
Land of Mary
The Innocent
Land of Moses
The well bred
The highly mannered
I want to pray
in your Mosque and Temple
Prayers of Love and Peace
Prayers of Forgiveness
for all the blood shed
here and there
Please give Peace
to my world
the small one
then the big one
Because you are the Most Generous
Then Suddenly
Hope came
and it comes suddenly
Like Life
Jerusalem Again
I love you
I love You So
Your air and Beauty
Your Past and Future
Please be Land of God
Land for God
Land of innocence
Land for Innocence
Land of us
Land for us
of you
for you
of me
for me
of us
for us
of Peace
for Peace
