Miley Cyrus

If I could get any animal it would be a dolphin. I want one so bad. Me and my mom went swimming with dolphins and I was like, 'How do we get one of those?' and she was like, 'You can't get a dolphin. What are you gonna do, like, put it in your pool?'

The Demise Of Dolphins

Dolphins are delightful creatures, who I absolutely adore;
I feel sad, when they are washed up dead, along the seashore.
Seeing a dolphin swimming in the wild, must be very exciting,
But the day may come, when a dolphin becomes a rare sighting.

The death of a dolphin, should never ever be in vain;
From each one's demise, a lesson should be gained.
If we can try to discover why each dolphin has died,
Our future actions, that reason, should then guide.

The ocean is fast becoming a thick soup of toxic waste;
A daily problem, which many dolphins, now have to face.
If we continue disposing of our waste in to the ocean,
It will end up as a most poisonous and deadly potion.

Dolphins have such happy faces, and are just so adorable;
That we are needlessly killing them, is just so deplorable.
Through sparkling, clear waters, the dolphins love to zoom;
But where waste has been dumped, there is a murky gloom.

There are times when it does seem really very odd,
When deposited on a beach, is a whole dolphin pod.
That is when we need to stop; when we need to pause,
And do our utmost best to discover the underlying cause.

Such sad scenes, we do not wish to see repeated;
As, soon, the dolphin population will be depleted.
Each link within the food chain is strongly connected;
If a dolphin eats a poisoned fish, it too, will be infected.

Some people may think I'm making way too much fuss,
But life upon this Earth, is far from being just about us.
There are creatures on Earth, which are totally amazing,
And it is their lives which we, as humans, are now erasing.

As humans, we seem to think we have every single right,
And many of us are willing to ignore a creature's plight.
We really need to start thinking more, long before we act;
Dolphins are needlessly dying, and that is an actual fact.

Adopt A Dolphin!

In this most precious world we live
Are creatures wild and free
And while most take, we know some give
To share nobility
That's why we smile like dolphins do
When good deeds can be done
Perhaps just by a chosen few
Who see good works as fun!

We learn that dolphins send out waves
And also hear these sounds
We likewise learn how each behaves
Beyond their leaps and bounds!
We know that dolphins leap for joy
And Flipper proved that well!
As if the air was just a toy
Where they could fly a spell

Each dolphin's like a good luck charm
Deserving of respect
So let's defend them from all harm
In ways we can protect
It's great to be a dolphin fan
You'll find it so worthwhile
Adopt a dolphin, if you can!
You'll make a dolphin smile!

I Need You Like This Hole In My Head

Lady Dolphin and her Dolphin beau
Were swimming out to sea one day
All the other lady dolphins smiled
But they were smiling in that subtle dolphin way
So they pretended that they'd pay it no mind
But she was female, of the jealous kind
She couldn't stand it not to ask him why
She could see that he was flattered by the twinkle in his eye
She said, "How much do you need me?"
How much do you need me?
Would you stay with me 'til this ocean floor is dry?
But if you cannot find the words that say
I'm the only one you love that way
I guess we'll have to say goodbye"
He said, "My love for you is wider than the wide Sargasso Sea
There ain't no bigger number I know, but
I never counted every ripple on the sea."
He said that words had never failed him yet
But before our future course is set
I have to find a way to win you dear
But there's two atmospheres of pressure on me here
How much do I need you? How much do I need you?
Can't seem to find the words to make you stay
But remember all the things I've said
That I'll love you 'til the day I'm dead
'Cause I need you like this hole in my head
I need you like this hole in my head

Dolphin

How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will u know if Im even in the right key
If u make me stop before I start?
Chorus:
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
And Ill come back again as a dolphin
Why does my brother have 2 go hungry
When u told him there was food 4 all?
This is the man that stands next 2 the man
That stands 2 catch u when u fall (oh!)
Chorus
If Im under water, will u find me? (find me {x4})
Will u shine a light and try 2 guide me?
Its happened before, Ive knocked on your door
But u wouldnt let me in
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart? (oh!)
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
Come back in the end as a dolphin (oh)
(Ill come back, baby)
(let me in, let me in) as a dolphin
(be my friend) dolphin
(yeah, yeah)

Riding The Wave

Mid ocean spray the dolphins soar -
They’re always coming back for more!
Always eager and always spry!
Come and see the dolphins fly!
With eyes alert, as black as coal,
They leap for joy in full control!
Intent on pleasures to be found!
Come and see the dolphins bound!
Yes, every day the dolphins leap,
As if some vigil they should keep!
As if they knew such games were wise!
Come and see the dolphins rise!
They’re tumbling high and tumbling free,
In their great quest for ecstasy!
They sense that life’s a wondrous gift!
Come and see the dolphins lift!
The Lord above has blessed them all,
So dolphin fans can have a ball!
Though gravity they, too, obey,
Come and see the dolphins play!
Mid ocean spray the dolphins soar -
Heirlooms and treasures to adore!
For they’re most noble and most brave,
Riding high... upon the wave!

Ocean Masquerade

Lovely dolphins gliding about,
Offering us their precious pout!
Of all God’s creatures down below
Kept safe for Mankind yet to know!
Facing the world with gracious grins,
Often flipping their dorsal fins,
Reaching down to the distant depths -
Truly savouring all their breaths!
Happily swimming back and forth,
Exploring East, West, South and North!
Having the time of their lives each day -
Instead of us who work for pay!
Dolphins are noble! Quick to smile!
Dolphins are graceful! They’ve got style!
Expressing joy to everyone...
Nurturing youngsters to have fun!
Dolphins delight to see us swim,
Opening friendship’s no mere whim!
Love’s the best answer, don’t you see! ?
Precious as pearls to you and me!
Happiness comes to those who wait...
Inside each heart that doesn’t hate!
Nothing’s hidden from those who stare,
Seeking sweet dolphins everywhere...

Denis Martindale, copyright, July 2000.

Here’s the dolphin poem called ‘Ocean Masquerade’ and
it features a hidden message using the first letter of each
line to read out what the little treasure is all about,

“Look for the hidden dolphins”...

This poem is about the exquisite Danbury Mint Coalport
bone china portrait of a dolphin by Robin Koni and this
cleverly portrays the playful spirit of both Man and dolphin!

Inquisitive creatures take risks yet by faith they usually
improve themselves in the wondrous process called
the learning curve! By searching for the hidden dolphins
in Robin’s picture we are partaking in the artist’s
perceptions of perspective and colour and therefore
increasing our own awareness of the truth and the hidden
truth ‘just below the surface’, so to speak! I was glad to see
more in the sea than I first saw! That’s what life’s about,
it’s a journey of discovery as anyone who watches the
Discovery channel will know!

But just how many hidden dolphins are there in this
precious puzzle! ? Dozens of dolphins? I’m still looking! !

Digital TV Dolphins

I've never seen a dolphin so cute and crystal clear -
Nor with a greater grin as if from ear-to-ear!
The eyes like magic marbles, the fins like shining shields,
The tail bursting with bubbles... What joy each dolphin yields!
Blue bubbles dance in sapphire seas above the sandy depths,
As scuba divers swim with ease between their bracing breaths!
Thus Man and dolphin co-exist contentedly at play,
Where neither is the egoist true joy decides to stay...
Thus, time permitting, friendship grows, bonding beyond compare,
To blossom like a radiant rose... resplendent and so rare...
The photogenic dolphin... our friend without a doubt!
Into his world he lets us in... and that's what love's about!
Approachable and beautiful, so gracious and sublime...
Each somersault so wonderful, so special, every time!
The world is full of splendour - ask those who watch tv!
Yet what could be more tender than dolphins in the sea! ?

Do dolphins leap into dolphin heaven?

Be a dolphin. Feel yourself
at home in the beloved water
in which you were fathered, mothered,
fed, grow up, and swim with all your friends…

and then one day, you see them disappear from view –
a powerful twist of tail… their body’s gone…
gone where? … you find that air, which
your nostrils have already breathed, is more…
a lighter, unsupported world
in which all dolphins leap
to celebrate their joy
in being – just as they are…

and, perhaps, fall back into
familiar water, with now greater joy...

who knows, what dolphins think –
or how they think, their instincts water-pure?
and what is air to them…
and whether air is where
they are on equal terms with those strange creatures,
human beings – yet with whom
they have a wonderful affinity;
even in protecting them
when danger threatens men
in dolphins’ safe, free element..

The early Christians, seeing dolphins play
around the shores of Greece and Italy
and Palestine and Egypt, saw a parallel:
in that men, when lost to human thought
beyond all thought, leap into an element
of joy and freedom and a world above
as air to dolphin’s water; their spirits leapt,
bringing back to earth a memory
never then forgotten, of what lay in store…

and scratched upon dark, taper-flickering walls
of catacombs and prisons, a dolphin leaping;
‘ My body’s here; my spirit’s leaping there
where joy and freedom never disappear…’

Boy With A Dolphin

Boy with a dolphin, two species at play!
Submerged for a moment then up to the spray!
Two mammals at leisure, no danger in sight
Just swimming together neath golden sunlight!
Neither is greater or lesser at all...
Each is the partner as pleasures enthrall!
The dolphin is noble and caring to boot...
Fraternal in spirit and physically cute!
The boy holds the dolphin in tune with his friend,
'You lead and I'll follow! ' They both comprehend!
No biting or scratching, just true courtesy
That's borne of God's blessing and joint harmony!
Could this be the blueprint of how life was planned?
Exploring the Cosmos by space, sea and land!
With love as the standard, the hallmark of grace
And proof is made known by the smile on one's face!
If so, keep on smiling and bubbling with joy!
Remember the dolphin! Remember the boy!
Keep faith with God's Spirit and radiate love!
And soon you'll be flying with angels above!

Behind the Sun

One day while bathing in the sea
my talking dolphin spoke to me
he spoke to me in symphony
from freedom's peace beneath the sea
he looked to me eyes full of love
said yes we live behind the sun

Behind the sun

The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

Now while I shower in the rain
I watch my dolphin swim away
the one who listens to the surf
can feel the pulse beat of the earth
and like my dolphin swims so free
the sun does swim into the sea

Behind the sun

An island flying through the sky
one day your son might ask you why
and if you son should be a girl
she too might ask you of this world
the sun shines sweet upon your beach
and yes my dolphin loves to teach

Behind the sun

The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

Delighting In Dolphins

God's dolphin came to me last night -
I dreamt it rescued me!
It came to help me in my plight
As I was in the sea!
No other soul appeared in view...
Yet loneliness was gone!
Once God had told it what to do
I wasn't on my own!
The dolphin smiled, extending love,
And helped to ease my mind...
Instinctively I reached above
And left my fears behind!
As I held on, it led the way,
From open sea to shore...
Then other dolphins came to play -
They thrilled me to the core!
Thus tears of joy began to fall,
Replenishing my faith!
By grace, God heard my plaintiff call
And sent a friend to save!
Now near the beach I swam the rest...
Then turned and blew a kiss...
I prayed the dolphins would be blessed,
For they had brought such bliss!
Then off they went, still leaping high -
Their joy of life's unique!
Though water-bound, they yearned to fly,
Another friend to seek!

Filial affection

Filial Affection

I can hear her whimper in the night, I must get up
put my frogman suit on and go to her, she sits in
a cove dressed only in a sea weed jumper, there are
holes in her fishnet stocking; yes, you are right my
little daughter is a mermaid

It was July day long time ago when I met her mum,
the dolphin, a hopeless affair doomed to failure, but
did we try! The baby stayed in my swimming pool,
while her mother swam to the coast of Greenland
and feeding off the shrimps there

When my tiny girl became a teenager she went back
to her mother and they both swam to Greenland; and
I thought I should never see her again. Tired she sits
and waits for me. I must join her, in her world, now
that I sold my house with the swimming pool.

A Cat And Mouse tale

My young niece asked me
what animal would I like to be?
would I be a great big Polar Bear
or a Dolphin swimming in the sea?
How about being a Camel in the desert
or buzz about like a busy busy bee
then again I may want to live in a jungle
be a monkey swinging from tree to tree?
She said she really loves amphibians
so she'd be a toad or a giant Bullfrog
or an animal that likes to roll around in mud
like a Hippopotamus or a Warthog.
But in the end she changed her mind
as she decided she'd want to be a mouse
so in that case I replied to her
I'll be a big cat and chase you round your house!

they are beaching themselves, they are exhausted and torn.
Please PRAY NOW for the Dolphins of the Seas
Please, PRAY that They Stay Please.

It is sad that Bottlenose Dolphins showed up dead from New Jersey

Stop Dolphin killing in all its forms

Dolphins are born to bring love, joy and life to the oceans of our world
please help these aquatic creatures—like they were your boy or girl.
They are the bridge between the aquatic kingdom and the human kingdom here
Please send love to them to show you understand and care.
Please end all brutality to Dolphins and support organizations that keep them safe
Keep off our shores plastic waste—this covers Dolphins blow-holes

Ancient Rhymes

This song appears on four albums, and was first released on the flower that shattered the stone album, and has also been released on the stonehaven sunrise, the gift you are and the john denver
Ction - sunshine on my shoulder albums.
Two days before the moon was round
You felt the urge of suns light beams
The muffled world of dolphin sound
Slipped down and back into your dreams
For nine full months that passed before
You learned of all of lifes ancient rhymes
Then mother sensed a farther shore
And brought you forth into these times
So taste the air of your new world
And gently guide us to your mind
It knows the winds and sails unfurled
And holds to heart the dolphin kind
Welcome precious earthmade child
We met you first in your fathers songs
And mothers smile and waters wild
Its in this place you now belong
I know you know of all these things
And feel the faith of a dolphins sigh
For you were born on silver wings
To taste the high blown crystal sky
To sing one day to all of us
The songs you learned in dolphin lair
Giving hope to life as all we must
And teach us how their grace to share
Words and music by john denver and bob samples

Crashing Waves!

I'm glad to be a dolphin, I can wave my fin at you!
I can smile my gracious grin and then blow a kiss or two!
I swim as fast as boats can! That's amazing, don't you think! ?
And yet, don't close your eyes, man, or I'll vanish in a blink!
My home's here, where I'm feeding... My family's around me...
I'd say that I'm succeeding, as long as they surround me!
It's great to go exploring and to be a pioneer!
You see, there's no ignoring all the beauty that's down here!
It doesn't matter where we go, as the beauty's always there...
All colours of the rainbow bring us sights beyond compare!
The humans sometimes meet us as they like to share their lunch!
It's nice to see them greet us as they seem a friendly bunch!
Great to see them now and then... and yet, suddenly, they go!
Soon they wander off again... Why they leave we just don't know!
Yet I'm glad each dolphin saves all the memories that they've shared:
All the times we're crashing waves! All the times when humans cared!
When you humans visit dolphins, you're made welcome neath the sky!
Come, let's play and let's be friends, till each one waves goodbye...

Curiousity

The dolphin's such a gracious gift,
With wisdom all its own,
With love that grants a precious lift,
In groups or all alone...
As if this world with wonders strewn,
Was meant to be explored,
Beneath the sun, beneath the moon,
Defiant, self-assured!

The dolphin scans its world ahead
As well as all around,
For by its sensors, it's been led,
With echoes that rebound...
And, oh, what splendours each will find,
What colours yet to see,
Some still unknown by humankind,
But savoured privately!

Stay curious, my dolphin friend!
Explore for all you're worth!
And may your daydreams never end,
As you, with us, share Earth...
Stay curious, by day, by night,
Indeed, your whole life through!
To me, you're such a wondrous sight,
That's why I'll pray for you!
