Do dolphins leap into dolphin heaven?

Be a dolphin. Feel yourself
at home in the beloved water
in which you were fathered, mothered,
fed, grow up, and swim with all your friends…

and then one day, you see them disappear from view –
a powerful twist of tail… their body’s gone…
gone where? … you find that air, which
your nostrils have already breathed, is more…
a lighter, unsupported world
in which all dolphins leap
to celebrate their joy
in being – just as they are…

and, perhaps, fall back into
familiar water, with now greater joy...

who knows, what dolphins think –
or how they think, their instincts water-pure?
and what is air to them…
and whether air is where
they are on equal terms with those strange creatures,
human beings – yet with whom
they have a wonderful affinity;
even in protecting them
when danger threatens men
in dolphins’ safe, free element..

The early Christians, seeing dolphins play
around the shores of Greece and Italy
and Palestine and Egypt, saw a parallel:
in that men, when lost to human thought
beyond all thought, leap into an element
of joy and freedom and a world above
as air to dolphin’s water; their spirits leapt,
bringing back to earth a memory
never then forgotten, of what lay in store…

and scratched upon dark, taper-flickering walls
of catacombs and prisons, a dolphin leaping;
‘ My body’s here; my spirit’s leaping there
where joy and freedom never disappear…’

Riding The Wave

Mid ocean spray the dolphins soar -
They’re always coming back for more!
Always eager and always spry!
Come and see the dolphins fly!
With eyes alert, as black as coal,
They leap for joy in full control!
Intent on pleasures to be found!
Come and see the dolphins bound!
Yes, every day the dolphins leap,
As if some vigil they should keep!
As if they knew such games were wise!
Come and see the dolphins rise!
They’re tumbling high and tumbling free,
In their great quest for ecstasy!
They sense that life’s a wondrous gift!
Come and see the dolphins lift!
The Lord above has blessed them all,
So dolphin fans can have a ball!
Though gravity they, too, obey,
Come and see the dolphins play!
Mid ocean spray the dolphins soar -
Heirlooms and treasures to adore!
For they’re most noble and most brave,
Riding high... upon the wave!

Adopt A Dolphin!

In this most precious world we live
Are creatures wild and free
And while most take, we know some give
To share nobility
That's why we smile like dolphins do
When good deeds can be done
Perhaps just by a chosen few
Who see good works as fun!

We learn that dolphins send out waves
And also hear these sounds
We likewise learn how each behaves
Beyond their leaps and bounds!
We know that dolphins leap for joy
And Flipper proved that well!
As if the air was just a toy
Where they could fly a spell

Each dolphin's like a good luck charm
Deserving of respect
So let's defend them from all harm
In ways we can protect
It's great to be a dolphin fan
You'll find it so worthwhile
Adopt a dolphin, if you can!
You'll make a dolphin smile!

Pray For And Save The Dolphins

Dolphins feel they can't fulfill the purpose for which they are born
they are beaching themselves, they are exhausted and torn.
Please PRAY NOW for the Dolphins of the Seas
Please, PRAY that They Stay Please.
Join the organization Greenpeace.
It is sad that Bottlenose Dolphins showed up dead from New Jersey
to the Sunshine State—why it is from PCB entering the Sea?
Stop Dolphin killing in all its forms
join this organization now to Keep Dolphins on Earth's Shores.
Dolphins are born to bring love, joy and life to the oceans of our world
please help these aquatic creatures—like they were your boy or girl.
They are the bridge between the aquatic kingdom and the human kingdom here
Please send love to them to show you understand and care.
Please end all brutality to Dolphins and support organizations that keep them safe
Keep off our shores plastic waste—this covers Dolphins blow-holes
which makes them suffocate, end net killing -over 500 dolphins die a day
Pray and donate to organizations before it's too late.
When the Sea Life Dies we die too
please pray for the Dolphins me and you

Dolphin

Where is the lovely dolphin
I used to swim beside?
We toured the sparkling grottos
or drifted with the tide
whereever fancy led.
My dolphins' eye was indigo
My dolphins' cheek was amber
Her back was dark as cuttle's ink
Her belly purple-silver
and her fins were lavender.

Oh, the waves are the laughter of water!

My dolphins' neck was supple
Smooth and sleek her sides
The purple sea behind her
would momently divide
and quickly fall behind.
I clung about her lightly
Or rode her like a mare
She gathered her beneath me
And leapt the wild waves over
Nor did she ever tire.

Oh. the waves are the laughter of water!

I told her I her love bore
She showed me where to find
The pearls and silted gallies
And how to sift the sand
for catcheted doubloons.

Oh, the waves are the laughter of water.

The Demise Of Dolphins

Dolphins are delightful creatures, who I absolutely adore;
I feel sad, when they are washed up dead, along the seashore.
Seeing a dolphin swimming in the wild, must be very exciting,
But the day may come, when a dolphin becomes a rare sighting.

The death of a dolphin, should never ever be in vain;
From each one's demise, a lesson should be gained.
If we can try to discover why each dolphin has died,
Our future actions, that reason, should then guide.

The ocean is fast becoming a thick soup of toxic waste;
A daily problem, which many dolphins, now have to face.
If we continue disposing of our waste in to the ocean,
It will end up as a most poisonous and deadly potion.

Dolphins have such happy faces, and are just so adorable;
That we are needlessly killing them, is just so deplorable.
Through sparkling, clear waters, the dolphins love to zoom;
But where waste has been dumped, there is a murky gloom.

There are times when it does seem really very odd,
When deposited on a beach, is a whole dolphin pod.
That is when we need to stop; when we need to pause,
And do our utmost best to discover the underlying cause.

Such sad scenes, we do not wish to see repeated;
As, soon, the dolphin population will be depleted.
Each link within the food chain is strongly connected;
If a dolphin eats a poisoned fish, it too, will be infected.

Some people may think I'm making way too much fuss,
But life upon this Earth, is far from being just about us.
There are creatures on Earth, which are totally amazing,
And it is their lives which we, as humans, are now erasing.

As humans, we seem to think we have every single right,
And many of us are willing to ignore a creature's plight.
We really need to start thinking more, long before we act;
Dolphins are needlessly dying, and that is an actual fact.

Delighting In Dolphins

God's dolphin came to me last night -
I dreamt it rescued me!
It came to help me in my plight
As I was in the sea!
No other soul appeared in view...
Yet loneliness was gone!
Once God had told it what to do
I wasn't on my own!
The dolphin smiled, extending love,
And helped to ease my mind...
Instinctively I reached above
And left my fears behind!
As I held on, it led the way,
From open sea to shore...
Then other dolphins came to play -
They thrilled me to the core!
Thus tears of joy began to fall,
Replenishing my faith!
By grace, God heard my plaintiff call
And sent a friend to save!
Now near the beach I swam the rest...
Then turned and blew a kiss...
I prayed the dolphins would be blessed,
For they had brought such bliss!
Then off they went, still leaping high -
Their joy of life's unique!
Though water-bound, they yearned to fly,
Another friend to seek!

Ocean Masquerade

Lovely dolphins gliding about,
Offering us their precious pout!
Of all God’s creatures down below
Kept safe for Mankind yet to know!
Facing the world with gracious grins,
Often flipping their dorsal fins,
Reaching down to the distant depths -
Truly savouring all their breaths!
Happily swimming back and forth,
Exploring East, West, South and North!
Having the time of their lives each day -
Instead of us who work for pay!
Dolphins are noble! Quick to smile!
Dolphins are graceful! They’ve got style!
Expressing joy to everyone...
Nurturing youngsters to have fun!
Dolphins delight to see us swim,
Opening friendship’s no mere whim!
Love’s the best answer, don’t you see! ?
Precious as pearls to you and me!
Happiness comes to those who wait...
Inside each heart that doesn’t hate!
Nothing’s hidden from those who stare,
Seeking sweet dolphins everywhere...

Denis Martindale, copyright, July 2000.

Here’s the dolphin poem called ‘Ocean Masquerade’ and
it features a hidden message using the first letter of each
line to read out what the little treasure is all about,

“Look for the hidden dolphins”...

This poem is about the exquisite Danbury Mint Coalport
bone china portrait of a dolphin by Robin Koni and this
cleverly portrays the playful spirit of both Man and dolphin!

Inquisitive creatures take risks yet by faith they usually
improve themselves in the wondrous process called
the learning curve! By searching for the hidden dolphins
in Robin’s picture we are partaking in the artist’s
perceptions of perspective and colour and therefore
increasing our own awareness of the truth and the hidden
truth ‘just below the surface’, so to speak! I was glad to see
more in the sea than I first saw! That’s what life’s about,
it’s a journey of discovery as anyone who watches the
Discovery channel will know!

But just how many hidden dolphins are there in this
precious puzzle! ? Dozens of dolphins? I’m still looking! !

Digital TV Dolphins

I've never seen a dolphin so cute and crystal clear -
Nor with a greater grin as if from ear-to-ear!
The eyes like magic marbles, the fins like shining shields,
The tail bursting with bubbles... What joy each dolphin yields!
Blue bubbles dance in sapphire seas above the sandy depths,
As scuba divers swim with ease between their bracing breaths!
Thus Man and dolphin co-exist contentedly at play,
Where neither is the egoist true joy decides to stay...
Thus, time permitting, friendship grows, bonding beyond compare,
To blossom like a radiant rose... resplendent and so rare...
The photogenic dolphin... our friend without a doubt!
Into his world he lets us in... and that's what love's about!
Approachable and beautiful, so gracious and sublime...
Each somersault so wonderful, so special, every time!
The world is full of splendour - ask those who watch tv!
Yet what could be more tender than dolphins in the sea! ?

Dolphin

How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will u know if Im even in the right key
If u make me stop before I start?
Chorus:
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
And Ill come back again as a dolphin
Why does my brother have 2 go hungry
When u told him there was food 4 all?
This is the man that stands next 2 the man
That stands 2 catch u when u fall (oh!)
Chorus
If Im under water, will u find me? (find me {x4})
Will u shine a light and try 2 guide me?
Its happened before, Ive knocked on your door
But u wouldnt let me in
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart? (oh!)
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
Come back in the end as a dolphin (oh)
(Ill come back, baby)
(let me in, let me in) as a dolphin
(be my friend) dolphin
(yeah, yeah)
Dolphin
As a dolphin
As a dolphin
As a dolphin

Douglas Adams

Man has always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much-the wheel, New York, wars and so on-while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man-for precisely the same reason.

Dolphins Bring Love

Dolphins are loved for being gentle,

They help humans feel Very Special.

With their happy, playful souls

they help heal us at our very core.

“Come have fun like us they splash about,

if you feel sad with lots of doubts,

swim with us and you will see,

just how happy and at free you can be! '

Yes, dolphins help heal us and keep us from being sad,

just swim with the dolphins and you'll be glad.

Yes, dolphins bring love,

To Everyone!

Dolphin Daydreams

Sometimes, when I'm just half awake,
When life's much less extreme,
I know it's time to take a break,
It's then that I daydream...
Like Walter Mitty, off I glide...
Into some wonderland!
Just to coast along the seaside,
As if with nothing planned...

God's aqua waits, I softly reach,
To join the water's flow...
Right there, along a golden beach,
With sands as soft as snow...
The thought of this can quite astound
And always proves enough...
Daydreams of dolphins all around,
A circle filled with love!

To think, that dolphins make amends,
No judgments harshly made...
Just fellowships among my friends,
As if for each I've prayed...
'Be safe, be glad, be healthy, too!
Let happiness take hold...
Because, my dolphins, I love you!
To me, you're good as gold! '

the dolphins of the seas of Apo Island

they are our friends
these dolphins of the seas
shiny and fast and sliding tossing the foams of the seas
of Apo Island

we are on this boat
and they are on our sides
we are travelling to another island
of desire where we too can be home
the dolphins
always following our destinations

they are our friends
do you hear them laugh as they play at sea?
look at their fins, look at their teeth
do you see them smiling at you?

they are not asking anything
from us
they are our friends and they have given us
their sea and foams and splashes?

do we torture them then?
do we eat our friends?
do we kill them and make soup of their fins?
do we deprive them of their oils

into our heartlessness?

think my friend, do you kill the creatures who love you?
these dolphins, these friends
let us learn to love and swim with them
today

Serenity

Two dolphins swam, as dolphins do,
United, side-by-side,
Despite the fact that they could view
The ocean clear and wide...
Togetherness, just as you please,
Serenity within...
That's why they swam in perfect peace,
For now, no race to win...

This was their time, in aqua light,
So tranquil, full of calm,
Engulfed in fathomless insight,
As if it were their balm...
Alone, yet not afraid to be,
Alone, yet gliding on,
Alone, yet graceful, fancy-free,
As if all cares had gone...

To simply let the world pass by,
Like dolphins have before,
Serenity some humans try,
Yet there's a fatal flaw...
Why envy dolphins of this Earth
As creatures to admire?
For dolphins have no God to serve,
No Heaven to aspire...

He laughed and said " you'll realize it very soon". One day I lost my father, I went upside to find him quickly and powerfully, when I jumped upside I remember my father statements and his laughing. I saw the beauty of up world, sunlight, blue sky, colors, a great black blue ocean, a big ship, an hunted father who try to escape, …

Behind the Sun

One day while bathing in the sea
my talking dolphin spoke to me
he spoke to me in symphony
from freedom's peace beneath the sea
he looked to me eyes full of love
said yes we live behind the sun

Behind the sun

The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

Now while I shower in the rain
I watch my dolphin swim away
the one who listens to the surf
can feel the pulse beat of the earth
and like my dolphin swims so free
the sun does swim into the sea

Behind the sun

An island flying through the sky
one day your son might ask you why
and if you son should be a girl
she too might ask you of this world
the sun shines sweet upon your beach
and yes my dolphin loves to teach

Behind the sun

The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

On The Picture Of Two Dolphins In A Fountayne

These dolphins twisting each on either side
For joy leapt upp, and gazing there abide;
And whereas other waters fish doe bring,
Here from the fishes doe the waters spring,
Who think it is more glorious to give
Than to receive the juice whereby they live:
And by this milk-white bason learne you may
That pure hands you should bring or beare away,
For which the bason wants no furniture,
Each dolphin wayting makes his mouth an ewer,
Your welcome then you well may understande
When fish themselves give water to your hand.

That Body Of Water Is Mine

That body of water is mine now
Because God gave it to me
So that I could swim
In that body of water
But he said that I am not allowed
To let the boats in
The body of water
Because that would pollute the water
And he wants to have
That body of water protected
And I told God that I was going to do that
By declaring that body of water
A natural habitat for marine life
God had answered me back by saying
That would be a wonderful Idea
And I was pleased by his answer
