Growing Up In Public

Some people are into the power of power
The absolute corrupting power, that makes great men insane
While some people find their refreshment in action
The manipulation, encroachment and destruction of their inferiors
Growing up in public, growing up in public
Growing up in public, growing up in public with your pants down
Some people are into sadistic pleasures
They whet their desires and drool in your ears
Theyre quasi-effeminate characters in love with oral gratification
They edify your integrities, so they can play on your fears
Theyre gonna do you in public, cause youre growing up in public
Theyre gonna do it to you in public,
cause youre growing up in public with your pants down
Some people think being a man is unmanly
Some people think that the whole concepts a joke
But some people think being a man is the whole point
And then some people wish theyd never awoke
Up from a dream of nightmarish proportions
Down to a size neither regal nor calm
A prince hamlet caught the middle between reason and instinct
Caught in the middle with your pants down again
Caught in the middle, Im really caught in the middle
Im caught in the middle, caught in the middle deciding about you

All Over Again

Sometimes early in the morning
Sometimes in the middle of the day
Sometimes deep into the night,
It hits me
All over again
That you are gone
Sometimes it wakes me from my sleep
Abruptly
A sudden harsh reminder
A sense that something's wrong

Sometimes in the middle
Of a normal conversation,
You interrupt my thoughts
And tears emerge
Between my words
And somehow it always hurts
Deeper than the time before
When it hits me
All over again
I swear I can't take it
Anymore

Appetite

It is appetizing, the meal is appetizing,
I consumed a mighty warrior of steel.
My concession was plain, just give me food
So I give you a meal, food for two now.
The concert repeats, I laugh and cry forever,
But still I smile and giggle with dizziness.
The groups of people look like apes with food,
The two of us are fed, what of the rest of us?
My appetite is satisfied, but your meal surrounds
And loves me, like two of us in the middle of feeding.

Keeping Dates And Times

What do you mean,
I never listen to you?
I'm always listening to you.
In fact...
Some of the most memorable conversations,
You have initiated.

'But...
Why do you interrupt me so often? '

Wait a minute.
The only time I do not interrupt you,
Is when you have something brilliant to say.
So don't sit here trying to convince me...
Or yourself,
I do not pay you any attention.
You have no idea how much I do!

'When was the last time you thought I said anything,
That was brilliant? '

Are we going to have a conversation or not?
Now you want to test my history knowledge.

You know I don't do well with dates.
Or things that have happened in the past.
I just know these things have happened.
Keeping dates and times in my mind...?
I'm not into that.
That's just too detailed and time consuming.

Red Ditty (Non-LP Version)

If in the middle of a vital conversation
I chose not to listen
Would that be okay?
And if in the middle of a heated confrontation
I chose not to
Would that be okay?
And if I love you without reference to occasion
Would you run away?
Or would that be okay?
And if in the middle of this final declaration
I walked away
What would you say?
Would that be okay?

The Someone I Want

We all deserved someone
Who brings out the best in us

Who loves us for our imperfections

Who helps us anyway they can
Who will always be there for us

Who can be our best friend

We all deserve someone
We can actually have a conversation with

A meaningfull conversation

Someone who just holds us
Someone who calls us beautiful

Instead of hot

Someone who doesn't take advantage
Someone who listens

Someone who respects us

That's the someone I want
The someone I hope to find

I hope he's out there somewhere

Stuck In The Middle And Feeling Sad

What is it that you need,
To interrupt your love for suffering?

Do you need a lot of...
Discipline.
Would you like a little...
Motivation?

Stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
Stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline

Stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
Stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline.

What is it that you need,
To interrupt your love for suffering?

You're stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
You're stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline.

Do you need a lot of...
Discipline.
Would you like a little...
Motivation?

What is it that you need,
To interrupt your love for suffering?

You're stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
You're stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline.

You're stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
You're stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline.

You're stuck in the middle of indecision,
You lack motivation.
You're stuck in the middle and feeling sad,
You lack a discipline.
You lack a discipline.
You lack a discipline.
You lack a discipline.

Talk To Me

When I see you, girl you turn my head, you make me dizzy
I get a good vibration
When I look into your big blue eyes, I start to quiver and shake
I get a strange sensation
When you walk by me you strut around, you make me crazy, I get no relaxation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation, talk to me
People tell me that you run around and that youre no good
You got a bad reputation
I dont care what all the people say, you know they talk too much
Its a fascination
All I wanna do is talk to you and maybe go out, and form some kind of relation
So talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - why dont you
Talk to me - cmon and talk to me
I just wanna talk to you
Girl I wish you knew the way I felt, you think Im silly, that its infatuation
So we better get together soon, because I need you girl
I cant stand the frustration, so
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - why dont you
Talk to me - cmon and talk to me
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - I just wanna talk to you
(repeats out)

Keeping Hope Alive!

A person without hope is inwardly dead,
keeping hope alive.
There's nothing,
nothing,
that anyone has ever done
without the power of hope.

Hope is always about
a desire for something
you don't have.
If you can't imagine it,
you don't hope for it.

Hope is that thing
that keeps us going
and keeps us believing
in our potentiality
when you loose hope,
you get depressed, and when you lose
enough hope,
you die.

Hope beyond hope.
A hope that can keep you going
when you can't find a reason.

Hope is a state of heart that
always keeps you positive.
When we are without hope,
I think we erect a wall
around ourselves.

The economy is limping,
benefits are at risk,
the national mood is bleak,
collective depression,
egoism,
greed
and self-righteousness.
The future isn't bright,
and the solution isn't visible.
Hope has diminished,
especially around business people.
They are angry and frustrated.
There's a lack of confidence
in what can be done,
there's a sense of loss
of social justice,
and this goes deep
into the soul of America.
The government has not justified
in the public's eyes,
the need to reform system
and how far this reform goes.
American people pride themselves
on integrity and fairness.
Create Hope.
Let's Keep Hope Alive!

A wish that one day

A wish that one day,
I can face the courage,
And beset myself upon the task,
To carry on a conversation with someone,
Without judgement,
Without guilt,
Without shyness,
And without remorse.
A wish that one day,
I can have the courage
To carry out a conversation with someone,
With love in my heart,
And happiness in my eyes,
With soul within my voice,
And strength behind each word.
A wish that one day,
I can have the courage,
To carry out a conversation with someone,
Not only within my head,
Or within my mind,
But with an actual person with
A name, a heart, a soul,
A personality, a peace of mind.
All of which I don't know
And all of whuich is foreign to me.
A wish that one day,
I can have the courage,
To carry out a conversation with someone,
With the confidence to say my name out loud,
To be heard,
To be known,
To be recognized,
And to be loved.
A wish that one day,
I can have the courage,
To carry out all these wishes,
And know that wishes do come true,
That there is truth behind a wish,
Behind hope,
And a reason why I should
Keep making wishes,
Why I should start to hope
Because I do not know any now.

The Visitor

A blind middle aged man
sat alone in his new flat
listening to the silence;
he often sat like that.

He sensed someone close
and strained to hear.
“Hello, who’s there?
I know you’re here”

The silence remained unbroken,
but he knew he wasn’t alone.
“I ask again, what do you want;
why are you in my home? ”

He became anxiously fidgety,
“Why don’t you speak,
have you nothing to say,
or do you fear the weak?

You must know I’m blind
and I’m no threat to you,
so why don’t you speak
like normal people do?

Do you have trouble hearing?
Is that why you don’t respond?
Well, I’ll do the talking
and you just tag along.

Because I’m not convinced
that anyone’s really there
I’ll talk as if you are,
so interrupt when you care.

Are you a lonely guy like me
with no friends to talk to,
and do you spend your days
with nothing at all to do? ”

Have you been here long;
I mean here in my room?
I definitely know you’re here,
I hope you’ll speak soon? ”

“I’ve been here for that long
I can’t recall when I came,
but it was so very long ago
and every day’s the same.”

“You sound very sad and lonely,
as though life’s a drag for you.
Isn’t there any chance that life
will get better in a day or two? ”

“I’ve told you every day’s the same
and nothings going to change.
Nobody can do anything for me,
so nothing can be rearranged.”

“Don’t give up hope just yet
I’ll offer a helping hand.
I don’t know exactly how,
so help me to understand? ”

“There’s nothing anyone can do
the living or the dead.
I don’t have a place to live,
or anywhere to lay my head.

There’s no one I can talk with,
you’re the first for many a year
and if you had eyes to see
you certainly wouldn’t be here! ”

Dress to Kill

That which once worked,
And relied upon to patch quarrels...
Before guns and knives were used,
To prove one to be upset with another.
Has no affect on emotions today.
Or offer to ease their tensions,
By having a quiet meal.

'Why are we making a big deal of this?
Let's go out and share a pizza.
And wear something casual.'

It seems as if some people insist,
On provoking some kind of conflict.
The use of common sense,
Is as outdated as watching someone,
Hand wash dishes.
Without a screaming match.
Or observing the preparation of a meal,
From scratch.
When was it seen someone did that?
And leaving that which is frozen in the 'frig'.
Not to microwave thing.

Today,
People are impatient with their own lives.
And have no respect for the lives lived by others.
Disagreements aren't settled through discussion.
Today...
People don't even bother to dress to kill!
Preferring the use of threats.

In their underwear,
People could care less...
If they are seen in public addressing their rage.
To eventually declare a 'temporary' mental insanity.
And lots of sympathy shown,
By those who totally understand.

Who Do You Love, I Hope

I've got the question
I've had it for days
You've got the answer, dear
I'll put the question
In one little phrase
Say what I want to hear
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Who do you want I hope
Who do you need I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Is it the baker who gave you a cake
I saw that look in his eye
Is it the butcher who brought you a steak
Say that it is and I'll die
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
[2]
I heard your question
The answer you know
Love is my middle name
You asked a question
That worried you so
Mind if I do the same
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Who do you want I hope
Who do you need I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Is it the blondie who acted so shy
I heard the things that she said
Is it the redhead who gave you the eye
Say that it is and your dead
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me

Were There Hope

I was never in a league of noble gentlemen
To whom she'd cast polite and flitting smiles,
Only distant hope and dying dreams for me!
Or perhaps descent into a game of wiles

To give a chance of sipping wine on heady nights
With her angelic presence to declare;
Above, an aura playing out hypnotic hues,
And I in awe of blonde cascades of hair.

But no! my tiring soul is sinking in a mire
To haunt me for an age and evermore, for
How could I expect to hold her silken hand
When I am but a soulless ghost of yore?
