If the education of our kids comes from radio, television, newspapers - if that's where they get most of their knowledge from, and not from the schools, then the powers that be are definitely in charge, because they own all those outlets.

The future is electronic. It's radio, television and the Internet; it's not really newspapers anymore.

Radio, newspapers, they were normal parts of my life. In those days, you had to go somewhere to watch television and leave something to see it.

This thing that Colin Powell's son is expected to do is kind of scary when you think that television and radio and newspapers are what make people think what they think.
You know, there are not only - all of the networks, and I mean every television news operation and print and radio and magazines, newspapers, all of them, are remiss in the diversity area. I mean, none of these organizations have reached a level of parity.

It's really important to say this. Often the faith schools were founded before the state provided education. I want good education in this country so I'm not going to slag off faith schools. I think that it's important that people of different backgrounds and different faiths go to school together and many faith schools do that.

I am and have always been a strong proponent of public education. But by the virtue of its very nature - publicly funded schools cannot offer the type of spiritual education that Catholic schools have long provided.

We didn't have television until I was about eight years old, so it was either the movies or radio. A lot of radio drama. That was our television, you know. We had to use our imagination. So it was really those two things, and the comics, that I immersed myself in as a child.

Education
An important component of life is education
Schools furnish the fitting foundation
During degree courses we do specialization
In fields of interest of our fascination.
With education thinking gets a stimulation
It gives unity of feeling and goodness with elation
And knowledge of the world is in accumulation
Enabling us to infer things with right interpretation.
It is not just about text-books lessons adaptation
It is about life's lessons right administration
Education is not mere imparting of information
It is about training of behavior and emotion.
Development of values in life is the activation
With education, good manners are in accentuation
And it is a sound system in life of quality absorption
Education makes one's life to be in elevation.

Electronic Support
And as long as I don’t see
You on the television
Or I don’t hear about
You on the radio
Or I don’t even read about
You on the national newspapers
Everything you are telling me
That it is happing to you
I would consider them
As a pure fantasy
As a pigmentation of your
Own imagination
I can even go as far as
To advice you to become a novelist
I can even get angry
If you still persist to talk to me
About the all situation
If you still want me to believe you
If you still want to get my sympathy
If you still want me to help you
With the kinds of sufferings
That you are going through everyday
With the kinds of oppressions
That you are experiencing
With the kinds of famine and malaise
That your wife and children are being victim of
Get on television
Make a radio broadcast
Invite a writer to write about you
Not any kind of writer
A journalist
I insist a journalist
To write about you…Otherwise
I would find it boring to read
So, in short, get some kind of
Electronic Support to inform me
About your problems
While I am in comfort of my house
In my car or even in my office
Then I can believe you
Then you can get my sympathy
Then I can inform the all world
That you are indeed in need
Otherwise…Don’t bother me…

The Knowledge
Insight to what's going on
Information keeps us strong
What you don't know can hurt you bad
Take it from me you'll be walkin around sad
Cryin for a better day
Until you educate for a better way
So if you wanna be in control
Ya gotta get yourself in the know
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Spreading vise don't believe the hype
You don't find the knowledge in a pipe
Too many lives go up in smoke
It's nice to laugh but don't be the joke
To get over get better
Try to be the possessor
Of the one thing we all need in life
To succeed take my advice
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Prejudice No!
Ignorance No!
Bigotry No!
Illiteracy No!
Listen it's up to everyone
If we're gonna change the way the world is run
The way to start is to rid the children of
Prejudice and ignorance
We've gotta teach our kids to read and write
That's the only way to win this fight for life
Education is the goal so
If you wanna be in the know
Get the knowledge
It's the one thing we all need in life

Teachers Challenge
It's time for the public to open up their eyes
Without the teachers how will our kids survive
What will happen to our children if they
don't have an education
They are the foundation of this great nation.
The teachers all had a dream and a goal
To teach the public young and old.
They had learned early in college
That they must gain daily knowledge.
Every day they challenge their minds
With new knowledge that they find
It does not matter what the topic may be
It all goes down into history.
They work hard at what they do
Teaching our kids and their kids too.
Teaching is not an easy task
not all kids learn that fast.
Then there are those with special needs
With which the teachers plant their seeds.
They are given a lot more patience
And a lot more care, so with them
The teachers do share.
Now is the time that money should be given
So that they can earn a decent living.

A Good Education Need Of The Hour!
Education decides about the future life and work for all;
Education only helps to develop one’s life and work here.
Mere education is not passport to get job but it’s for life;
Mere education helps not to face life situation or crisis;
Common sense, presence of mind, general knowledge do!
For everything education is the base in the modern world;
Education is for freedom, development and fulfilment in life;
Education helps intellectual mind to acquire true knowledge.
Knowledge only can give power, freedom and satisfaction;
Knowledge of love, truth gives freedom to attain perfection.
Dharma is justice to live righteous life according to one’s nature;
Religion is to say about truth of God, dharma and culture to all;
Education is to help develop one’s capacity with apt knowledge
To express talent using ideas of knowledge in duty to do things
Beneficial to oneself, society to achieve joyful fulfilment in life!
Now education does not serve such purpose but crams knowledge
Incomplete just to do specialised jobs only for material benefits.
Complete knowledge makes link of science, literature and culture;
This could satisfy body, mind, heart and soul to achieve completion;
Love and knowledge make perfect to attain joy, peace, satisfaction!

Portable Radio
Words: j. oates
Music: j. oates, d. hall
Take your pick of the modulation
Like a kid in a candy store
Its a hand-carry situation
Made for lying on the beach
Or dancin in the streets
You got your pertinent information
Or you can tune in to hear the scores
Theres a power in a million stations
You cant ignore
Radio
Crank up the power
Radio
Rock it for hours and hours
Radio
Play it soft and low
Viva la portable radio
Turn up the power all night
Well I dont wanna hear no static
And I dont wanna hear no jaw
Put them platters on automatic
I cannot get enough
Got to give me more and more
Play some soul for the congregation
Rock n roll for the kids next door
Charge up your batteries across the nation
Viva la portable radio
Its x-static
