Men Of Good Fortune
Men of good fortune
Often cause empires to fall
While men of poor beginnings
Often cant do anything at all
The rich son waits for his father to die
The poor just drink and cry
And me, I just dont care at all
Men of good fortune
Very often cant do a thing
While men of poor beginnings
Often can do anything
At heart they try to act like a man
Handle things the best way they can
They have no rich, daddy to fall back on
Men of good fortune
Often cause empires to fall
While men of poor beginnings
Often cant do anything at all
It takes money to make money they say
Look at the fords, but didnt they start that way
Anyway, it makes no difference to me
Men of good fortune
Often wish that they could die
While men of poor beginnings
Want what they have and to get it theyll die
All those great things that live has to give
They wanna have money and live
But me, I just dont care at all
Men of good fortune
Men of poor beginnings
Men of good fortune
Men of poor beginnings
Men of good fortune
Men of poor beginnings
Men of good fortune
Men of poor beginnings

My Failings Are My Own
My failings are my own
I don't blame it any one
Take responsibility as one would say
But it doesn't just die there
For I do not live in despair
My failings are my own
long ago the seeds were sewn
And now a plant grow.
A weed just maybe.
But watch as the most beautiful blooms
It is just early to assume
My failings are my own
No victim here
Their is no hiding and trying just disappear
I won't shed a single tear
For life is to short to cry over spilled milk
Watch as I weave my own pretty silk
My failing are my own
So if I'm all alone
I'm still warm
I got a place to call home
The calmness before the storm
The order before the chaos
My failings are my own
I accept it
I'm for no reject
Its not trick
I carry no special trinket
luck wishing is as well wishing
And that's a place I don't want t go fishing
For My failing are my own
Their was no clone
I did it, as I always have
Its already so long past
time ticking by so fast
The failures could never forever last
I say again
Repeated within
My failings are own
I need no scapegoat
I need not hide behind a moat
For my failings are my own

They know not their own defects who search for the defects of others.
Love drops defects
Near-look finds out defects;
Dear-look shuts out defects.
Instant look notices potholes;
Fervent look ignores them.
No beloved is ugly
To her lover

Time, which alone makes the reputation of men, ends by making their defects respectable.
I worked with the March of Dimes to enact legislation for a national birth defects prevention program to provide surveillance, research and preventive services aimed at reducing the rate of birth defects.

Fame And Fortune
Sittin' in the back of a limousine, feelin' just like a king
All the girls come runnin' to you, you're the latest thing
Sittin' up there at the top of the charts, lookin' like Mr. Cool
You take all the money, steal their hearts, they'll come runnin' to you
Your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
All your fame and your fortune, you better take a look around
With your fame and your fortune, careful who you talk to
Or the fame and your fortune, watch it all tumble down, yeah, oh listen now
Now you're lookin' for inspiration, somethin' to say
When you find that it don't come easy, you find them running away
You had it all in the palm of your hand, and let it slip away
You made it big, ooh so big, and then you threw it all away
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Fame and your fortune, hey you better take another look
At your fame and your fortune, it set you up, then it caught you
Fame and your fortune, surely gonna let you down, hey tell me now
(Solo)
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Take your fame and your fortune, wait and take a look around
For your fame and your fortune, who do you talk to
'Bout your fame and your fortune, as it all comes tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, yes all come tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, all comes tumbling down...

To the Past
Now that he has gone,
credit him for our boldness.
Forgive him for his failings-
he feared he wasn't right.
Let's hope a bolder future
will too forgive our failings,
credit how we shone
to give him greater boldness-
and fears he too is wrong.

Clever
No matter how clever
we think we are, there
is always someone
who is cleverer than us.
They may not be brainier
and their intelligence level
may even be low,
but on one thing,
they can outstrip us
with their gift
that makes up for
other failings they may have,
so never think yourself better
than everyone else
because the simple answer is
that you are not.

Fame And Fortune
Fame and fortune
how empty they can be
But when I hold you in my arms
That's heaven to me
Who cares for fame and fortune
They're only passing things
But the touch of your lips on mine
Makes me feel like a king
Your kind of love
is a treasure I hold
It's so much greater
than silver or gold
I know that I have nothing
If you should go away
But to know that you love me
Brings fame and fortune my way

Fear Nothing But One
Fear Love for it will kill you both in such thrill
Makes you suffer when you're happy
Makes you perish when you're ill
Fear it for it makes you decide in such a deadly way
Makes you choose if you are for your happiness
Makes you decide to work or play
Fear Dark for it will blind you and always let you fall
Makes you fall without such judgment
Makes you cry in no such call
Fear it for it makes you clueless and not updated and aware
Makes you tremble without knowing
Makes you hardly even care
Fear Needles for it will bleed you and strike you in the eye
Makes you suffer bleeding hard
Makes you simply knowing you're alive
Fear it for it will simply have a permanent scar on your face
Makes you feel be wasted
Makes you wanted it to erase
Fear everything else but nothing beats them all but him
God sets the beginning of everything
God sets the end of everything
Fear him for he can do anything even impossible in the eye
God will make you face your fear
God will make you sigh

When You're Ready
This verse isn’t about sex or love,
no, no you know it’s sweet and good,
tell me what keeps you up at night,
tell me why you’re so full of fright,
don’t say it’s the surrounding neighbourhood,
what makes you think you’re misunderstood?
Did someone hurt you?
If so, what did they do?
Are you ill or have some form of injury?
Is this what makes you lash out in fury?
Maybe you’re trapped in a nightmare,
and it’s all to much for you to bear,
there is no need to lock yourself in a prison cell,
just remember I’m here, if you need someone to tell,
I can take it, for we’re going steady,
so please confide in me when you’re ready…
Did they say you’re bland and uninteresting?
Then let me tell you that they’re only jesting,
please don’t fall in to your pit again,
let me help you unburden the pain,
you don’t have to cut us all out,
just tell me what this is all about.
I am not your family, spouse or heir,
but you know deep down that I care.
Have you wasted your entire fortune?
Is that what makes you stare at the moon?
There is no need to keep it to yourself,
contained within your world of stealth,
don’t tell the whole world to go to hell,
for I’m here when you think you can tell,
I can’t help you until you tell me,
so here I am; when you’re ready…

Fall Rain Song
Let the fall rain kiss you
Let the fall rain beat upon your head with silver pearl drops
Let the late fall rain sing you a lullaby
The late rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The late fall rain makes running pools in the gutter
The late fall rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night and day
The fall is as beautiful as I stay in there for several hours
I love the late fall rain as well as I love my boyfriend

Free From A Deluded Need
Too serious I've become,
With a different point of view.
Too serious,
And...
Too complexed.
With my eyes free of clouds.
Following a Sun,
That has etched with clarity...
A connection that corrects.
I have no wish to satisfy,
Misunderstandings I have left.
I have no wish to revisit,
Repeated regrets.
Too serious I've become,
With a different point of view.
Too serious,
And...
Too complexed.
With my eyes free of clouds.
Following a Sun,
That has etched with clarity...
A connection that corrects.
And clarity is what I seek,
On a path to become...
The very best I can be!
And with clarity I am free,
From a deluded need...
To impress!
Free from a deluded need,
To address pretentions.

Good Fortune
They say to celebrate
you should raise a glass or two,
but if you do not drink
that is something hard to do.
Instead, you can toast
by raising a cup of tea
and light several candles
for the more misfortunate
than you,
and then thank god
for bringing good fortune
to you.
Good fortune may not be money
to line your pockets well.
Good fortune might be the joy
of triumphing over adversity,
or it could be
getting over your fears.
Whatever good fortune
means to you.
You must celebrate
with happiness
and share your good fortune
with everyone
you will meet.
