The future of the airlines lay in hauling people, not in hauling mail for the government.

Buddha Was A Long Haul Trucker...

i dreamt...
Buddha was a long haul trucker,
and i met him in a roadside diner...
i asked him:
'where you been? '
'everywhere! '
'where you going? '
'nowhere! .
'well. what you hauling? '
'well...', he smiled.
'i was hauling myself,
but i unloaded that
back down the line...
now i'm hauling nothing! '

i bought him a cup of coffee,
and walked away,
silently shaking my head!

Where No One Works!

hauling scrap metal,
junk...
old washers, dryers,

old beat up cars,
rusted down high octane
roads going nowhere.....

metallic flowers,
dying and dead,
never to bloom again...

hauling junk...
trading metal for milk,
bread, and potatoes...

in the land where no one works!

Better Version Of Me

The nickel dropped when I was on
My way beyond the rubicon
What did I do?
And the games that I could handle
And then the ones with a candle
What can I do?
I'm a frightened, fickle person
Fighting, cryin', kickin', cursin'
What should I do?
Oooh, after all the folderol*
and hauling over coals** stops
What will I do?
Can't take a good day without a bad one
Don't feel just to smile until I had one
Where did I learn?
I make a fuss about a little thing
The rhyme is losing to the riddling
Where's the turn?
I dont want a home I go
and that home
is where my habits have a habitat
Why give it term?
Oooh, after all the folderol
and hauling over coals stops
What did I learn?
I am likely to miss the main event
If I stop to cry and complain again
So I will keep a deliberate pace
Let the damn breeze dry my face
Oh mister wait until you see
What I plan to be
I've got a plan to demand and it just began
And if you're right, you'll agree
Here's coming a better version of me
Here's coming a better version of me
Here it comes a better version of me

A Chat Last Night

i am good at words.
familiar with metaphors, and you stumble
upon an
oxymoron that i offer you and which you by
confusion, have so lightly taken,
i do have to say, how much is your smile,
what is the price of your kiss,
i will be too abrupt, and blunt and you may
not like them,
though that is what it
really is: love cost this amount
per unit of convergence
divisible moments, maximizing income.

beautiful killer, you are,
tremendously slow, in conclusions,
i buy you some confounding,
this is or this is not, to be or not to be,
you this, and you do not know about that,
how time consuming
to woe and yet not to let you know
that we are not really talking and i am not
taking you for

love: a commodity, a trade in for dignity,
an excuse to gallivant like
an etherized valentino,
stuffed juliet, and frozen romeo, undressed
they all appear like
dressed chickens in a row, for sale,
three for two,
a little tete a tete, something for a bric and brac,
guess some more,

'i love you'
i really love you, and i said oh i love you too

webcams off. what kind of face did you wear then?
was it the mask? is it the face with a crown of thorns

Jesssez! for God's sake! stop talking about love,
i am freezing in coldness. Love is strange now
as we age, we do not believe about its value anymore,
wrinkled skins, and hollow bones,
empty promises of the salvific nature of
divine love,

what for? this i can say. I do not think anymore like
a philosopher, i live like a an ant now,
following pheromones, doing and doing, and hauling and hauling,
just a creature on this anthill
nothing more.

Oligarchal Hypocricy

Mayors' accuse “Occupiers” of laying waste,
To City Parks and other public places
As they let infrastructure n' social programs fail;
They spend millions Importing cops to beat n' mace us,
And hauling innocent protesters off to jail

Disbelievingly

Fraternising
the needles
on abbreviated lips.
Handful of sand
hauling uphill.

Code of particles
feels the entire lie.
You wear mauve
when I cry.

Like diatoms
in eyes.
Erase the sun
from my hairs.
I am turning black.

The brine
had encroached all around.
The brown grass, the soaked laughter,
but I will come again in disbelief.

Anarchists

The leaders of this country,
Think were the ones that do wrong,
They take control of the power,
and steal this land of forgotten freedom

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

They call the ones dressed in black,
The evil ones but we fight back,
We've got hackers, we've got protesters,
we let no man left behind

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

The unions dressed in black,
With their flag raised up high,
Don't take no for an answer,
As the forces stain the streets with blood

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

We fight for the people,
Our obligation is good as gold,
And though we fight with arms of steel,
we don't let death go in vein

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

John F. Kennedy

I believe in an America with a government of men devoted solely to the public interests — men of ability and dedication, free from conflict or corruption or other commitment — a responsible government that is efficient and economical, with a balanced budget over the years of the cycle, reducing its debt in prosperous times — a government willing to entrust the people with the facts that they have — not a businessman's government, with business in the saddle … not a labor government, not a farmer's government, not a government of one section of the country or another, but a government of, for and by the people.

Spacetravel

They're polishing the government
Resembles a last waltz
We are the playthings
We are the form
Soon it may come
Since we can rise
Too long since I've seen you
We move like satellites

My future lies
In space travel
She's coming over me

They're burning the tenements
Topless progressive thinking
Political holes
Got six but pray for seven

My future lies
In space travel
She's coming over me
I employ spies
To stroll the gravel
They never want to leave
The future lies
The future lies
Scared of the government scared of the government

The future lies
In space travel
There's someone after me
I employ spies
In silver tassels
The never seem that pleased

The future lies
The future lies (space)
The future lies
The future lies (space)
The future lies
The future lies (space travel)
The future lies (space travel)

Blazing Trail

They swim like tadpoles.
Thoughts!
I was waiting at the far end of pond.

Heartburn increases at dusk,
fierce battle of blazing stripes
on blankets.

On the scarlet face
a bridge was burning
in wide open eyes.

Somebody takes an aim
hauling a runaway bruise.
Blood comes out roaring.

Weep, my stars,
ice was thin –
drowning the lake.

Of Simple Things

how do the leaves
cling to the stem? look at them
the wind plays
and not one from the pebbles
dream of falling

the ants keep the hauling
the grasshoppers sing notes
to the sky
that looks down with out so
much sophistication
no streamers
nothing of the band
wagon type

of bare feet that rests
on soft white sands
of the straw hat that covers
the eyes
inward inward
there is really no complication
there is only
this chosen nook
and there one gently sleeps

People (And Their Attritions)

To dream in the shade of gray
And wake with the sound of silence
The redolent ululations of the stagnant wind
Will freeze the airwaves with icicles
Sharper than the tongues of fire

People are people
Marred with a weak heart
That heeds no change for mercy
When stricken by godly hands;
Like a serpent, infuriated from the ground
By the prime predators with blood
Warm and red that he envied
With such amazed incongruity

Disturbed by the clamors beyond the pale
And the pertinacious exploitations
These harried hands wrought upon graves
Praying with the white flowers
Tossed without remorse
Withering with the brittle bones

I snide a fang for the manipulation
Ensconced in the hollow bones -
Haunted by the lost childhood
And the false-analogy of the future

People are people
And it will never reimburse
The lack of reasons
For all these conflagrating wounds

I hissed, I snickered,
At my own involution
To my life's suspension
And the pathos begged
Groveling for your poison

To all the lovely people
And your banquet of attrition:

Can you see the last bit of me
Hauling into the sun-drenched light
So you can see the profuse vexation
And the fear that the immense shadow casts?

In this turpitude I curled and folded
The weary scherzo of the heart
And like a mote suspended in the dusk
I descended, waning from your touch.

148.Unified Light combat

In the cloud of my dreams
Twilight you are surpassing the limits
Lamp lit in my heart
Dangling in the hurricane of despair
Came your grace
Bypassing the norms
Nocturnal my love
Hunting for thy touch
Searching deep
Into the abyss of your eyes
Reaping your soul’s song
Net music left forever
Hauling on my spirit
On the shores of your smile
I am born again
Tasting the nectar of your lips!

Summer Fields

February heat comes too early.
The fields turn brown
And men with bent backs
Harvest the premature
Golden grains
of rice
March should have come
But it didn't.
The grasses wilt, the dust roams around
The wheels of the hauling tractor
Sounds the start
Of another season
Covered eyes and noses
And the silence of the mouth.

It is time to keep memories.
It is this time of the year when sadness goes away.
Another one bites the dust
So to say.

Mermaid Song

for Aya at fifteen

Damp-haired from the bath, you drape yourself
upside down across the sofa, reading,
one hand idly sunk into a bowl
of crackers, goldfish with smiles stamped on.
I think they are growing gills, swimming
up the sweet air to reach you. Small girl,
my slim miracle, they multiply.
In the black hours when I lie sleepless,
near drowning, dread-heavy, your face
is the bright lure I look for, love's hook
piercing me, hauling me cleanly up.

Christmas Zen #2

pickup loads of wood,
stray dog running beside the tracks...
young girl hauling a baby,
old coat pulled across her face.
somebody somewhere is crying,
the hands on the clock slowly crawl,
... bare Christmas trees in a parking lot.

& already a line at the soup kitchen,
the sound of bells, water dripping from a spicket...
old man in coveralls, selling...
pickup loads of wood.

Paddling My Own Canoe

I need somebody to pick up the phone,
I'm in such pain and suffering alone,
It's an s.o.s. from across the pond,
Don't think about answering, just respond.

I feel cast adrift with no sign of land,
'Neath ripcurls of sadness, at their command,
So launch the lifeboat with skipper and crew,
For in such a tempest, armbands won't do.

I've tried my damnest to weather this storm,
Pursuing this dream in it's contorted form,
Hauling around some dutibound anchor,
Swallowing whole my internal rancor.

But rescue's not llikely, it's sink or swim,
Sorry to tell you, the forecast is grim.
