Madam, Withouten Many Words

Madam, withouten many words
Once I am sure ye will or no ...
And if ye will, then leave your bourds
And use your wit and show it so,
And with a beck ye shall me call;
And if of one that burneth alway
Ye have any pity at all,
Answer him fair with & {.} or nay.
If it be &, {.} I shall be fain;
If it be nay, friends as before;
Ye shall another man obtain,
And I mine own and yours no more.

Miss Otis Regrets

(cole porter)
Miss otis regrets
She's unable to lunch today.
Madam...
Miss otis regrets
She's unable to lunch today.
She is sorry to be delayed,
But last evening down at lover's lane, she strayed.
Madam...
Miss otis regrets
She's unable to lunch today.
~interlude~
When she woke from her dream
And found that her love had gone,
Madam...
She ran to the man
Who had led her so far astray.
And from under her velvet gown,
She drew a gun and shot her lover down.
Madam...
Miss otis regrets
She's unable to lunch today.
Then the mob came and got her
And dragged her from the jail.
Madam...
They strung her upon
A willow across the way.
And the moment before she died,
She lifted up her lovely head and cried.
Madam...
Miss otis regrets
She's unable to lunch today.

Madam's Past History

My name is Johnson--
Madam Alberta K.
The Madam stands for business.
I'm smart that way.

I had a
HAIR-DRESSING PARLOR
Before
The depression put
The prices lower.

Then I had a
BARBECUE STAND
Till I got mixed up
With a no-good man.

Cause I had a insurance
The WPA
Said, We can't use you
Wealthy that way.

I said,
DON'T WORRY 'BOUT ME!
Just like the song,
You WPA folks take care of yourself--
And I'll get along.

I do cooking,
Day's work, too!
Alberta K. Johnson--
Madam to you.

A Humble letter to the Queen

Honored Madam,
I take this opportunity to wish you a happy birth day as I saw in the BBC the celebrations,
Oh! What a lovely pageant.
My blessings, you may long-lived!
Sri Lanka is once a colony under your kingdom.
Thank God we got independence.
But Madam you left your precious friend in our tiny country
And his name is ' Divide & Rule' a real gentleman.
One day some innocents died of a bomb explosion
But your precious BBC showed only the empty bus.
I think some defect to their cameras?
This ethnic cleansing is a by-product of your factory 'The Imperialism'.
Never mind Madam we can forget the past as we are Sri Lankan.
But I humbly request a favor Madam,
if possible could you please minimize?
You're prominent BBC's (Prima Donna) partial yelp!
Thanking you in anticipation of a kind and a favorable reply.
I remain Madam,
Yours most obediently,
A scribbler,
Nimal Dunuhinga

I dedicate this poem to Miss or Mrs. Dumeetha.Luthra (BBC correspondent in Sri Lanka) for your prominent double standard.

To Sophronia.

Sophronia, all the World agree,
The Soul of Friendship dwells in Thee:
Let Envy other Gifts dispute,
Since here the Fury must be mute.
Without one vain, one venal View,
The Muse inscribes these Lines to you.
Tho' I thy Favour shall not share,
Thy Worth I'm destin'd to revere;
And in Sophronia must commend
The firm, disinterested Friend:
To Virtue I this Homage pay,
Rewarded, tho' you slight the Lay.

Those who thy Favour once obtain,
Need not sollicit thee again;
Nor ever at Neglect repine:
Their Wishes and their Cares are thine:
Nor at the Grave thy Friendship ends;
But to Posterity descends.

Hail, sacred Friendship! seldom found,
Tho' sought for all the World around:
Say, Blessing of the peaceful Cell!
How cam'st thou in a Court to dwell?

Modern Love XXXVI: My Lady unto Madam

My Lady unto Madam makes her bow.
The charm of women is, that even while
You're probed by them for tears, you yet may smile,
Nay, laugh outright, as I have done just now.
The interview was gracious: they anoint
(To me aside) each other with fine praise:
Discriminating compliments they raise,
That hit with wondrous aim on the weak point:
My Lady's nose of Nature might complain.
It is not fashioned aptly to express
Her character of large-browed steadfastness.
But Madam says: Thereof she may be vain!
Now, Madam's faulty feature is a glazed
And inaccessible eye, that has soft fires,
Wide gates, at love-time only. This admires
My Lady. At the two I stand amazed.

A concert for the mushroom

A concert for the mushroom

Post modern
Pre mortal
Ab normal
Sur real
This is the whirl of time
This is the voice of smoke
This is the spiral of crime
This is the dead end choke

Sir, it’s real!
Madam, they kill!

Simulae posed
Post mortem masked
Modernly slaughtered
Pre meditated
Dust dedicated
Inter located
Exter okayted
Imp- exp- pumps
Imp- exp- pumps
Pumps the heart of earth

Sir, it’s real!
Madam, they kill!

Post
Split
Atomic
Human
Destr uctively
Anatomic
Conductors
Rage their war
Of sticks

Sir, it’s real!
Madam, they kill!

Malaya and Juan please...

Why fall out on something
Which has taken drops of Lethe,
Yet everyone has his own
Perception observe things,
Specially poets,
They should refrain from slandering one another,
Malaya and Juan two genius,
Both have different surface of knowledge,
Both could perceive the two aspects,
Favour and Opposition,
Which are insignificant without each other,
In my view
Let one,
Whatsoever one wishes,
Oppose or favour.
My friends,
Not to speak of wordly people,
There are many
Who oppose even God
Likewise there are many who favour Him,
But He is not least affected.
So let's come close
As much as we can,
For the life is too short,
And the task is too great.

Madam and Her Madam

I worked for a woman,
She wasn't mean--
But she had a twelve-room
House to clean.

Had to get breakfast,
Dinner, and supper, too--
Then take care of her children
When I got through.

Wash, iron, and scrub,
Walk the dog around--
It was too much,
Nearly broke me down.

I said, Madam,
Can it be
You trying to make a
Pack-horse out of me?

She opened her mouth.
She cried, Oh, no!
You know, Alberta,
I love you so!

I said, Madam,
That may be true--
But I'll be dogged
If I love you!

Madam and The Rent Man

The rent man knocked.
He said, Howdy-do?
I said, What
Can I do for you?
He said, You know
Your rent is due.

I said, Listen,
Before I'd pay
I'd go to Hades
And rot away!

The sink is broke,
The water don't run,
And you ain't done a thing
You promised to've done.

Back window's cracked,
Kitchen floor squeaks,
There's rats in the cellar,
And the attic leaks.

He said, Madam,
It's not up to me.
I'm just the agent,
Don't you see?

I said, Naturally,
You pass the buck.
If it's money you want
You're out of luck.

He said, Madam,
I ain't pleased!
I said, Neither am I.
So we agrees!

Let the music play all night long
Giving you a taste of southern comfort
Wraped up in a love song
Record man can we do it again?
Press rewind before the joint ends

And I wont be ........... stand the heat

Burnin up, burnin up

Burnin up, burnin up
The joints like burnin up
[chorus]

Oh, My Dear Life! (Old Familiar Feelings)

OH Life! , tell me what to obtain:
Is there bliss in material?
Or joy in worldly attachment?
Where to begin my search, OH Life!

Is there dormant peace detachment?
OH! Life, tell me what to obtain?
What wisdom in silence of mouth?
What profound silence passed through time?

Tell me lust or love? flesh or seed?
Power, prowess, mansion and cars?
OH! Life, tell me how to obtain
eternal pure heart and peace of mind

Can one grasp the totality?
Can it all be had in one grab?
or is just you, oh my dear LIFE!
Oh! dear Life, YOU ARE ALL I ask.

Miss Piggy regrets..

Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today, madam..
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today:
That tastelessly named flu’s got her
(She forgot to wash her front trotter…) so
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today..

Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today, madam..
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today:
It’s a swine of a stroke of bad luck:
Her eyelashes, she sneezed them unstuck… so
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today…

Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today, madam..
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today:
She’s all pink from her snout to her face;
Her mascara’s all over the place… so
Miss Piggy regrets she’s unable to lunch today..

Why not try the lamb today, madam…?

Why should meek clique monopolize attention?

Why should meek clique monopolize
attention when the other cheek
is tendered 'gainst some fit of pique
unfitting, seeing anger rise?
If God exists then through her eyes
all should be equal - those who seek,
those who success obtain this week.
No logic therefore justifies
to favour lost sheep's bleating cries
ignoring who'd with courage speak
against discrimination's reek.
Quite up the creek he who applies
to least, lost, last, rich pride of place
grants lily livers' guilt gilt trace!
