When the giver comes, the gate opens by itself.

The Black Bird Winging Its Way Inward
that early morning
the door opens and you
hear the rush of steps
going out of the house
the gate opens and
closes once again
and you
find yourself enclosed
in your freedom
of thought again
transforms into a black
bird
stretching its wings
to the breasts of dawn
and then
without so much hesitation
fly away again.

The picture of the Night- Narrative
As the giving sun sets
Beyond the rising peaks
Night takes its shape
Stars & Moon become the giver
Giver brings grief and joy
To those who wish for it
And those who deny it
Soon the day giver comes
And banishes the night
Soon the battle shall start again

Indian Giver
I can still remember it wasn't long ago
Things you used to tell me
You said I had to know
Told me that you love me
And that you always would
Then I said I loved you
You said that that was good
Girl you made a promise
Said you'd never want me to go
Oh no, oh
Chorus:
Indian giver
Indian giver
You took your love away from me
Indian giver
Indian giver
Took back the love you gave to me
Baby, I was feeling the way I want to feel
You had me believing the love we had was real
Things we did together
You said they'd never end
Now and till forever
Oh yeah, that's what you said
Girl when I was down I knew that you would always be there
Oh, yeh
Chorus
Oh!
Chorus

0110 Visiting Billy Collins
The gate opens easily -
someone's oiled it quite recently.
There's fresh gravel on the path
this winter day.
There's a dog kennel out there and
a single warning bark from inside the house but
your shins are safe.
Those neighbours of his seem
quiescent today..
The doormat has said
WELCOME for
some frayed years now.
There are lights on and
the door opens quickly although
they weren't expecting you so soon.
'How about a walk around after
coffee, this crisp morning?
Just as far as you like? There's
lots to show you..'
We walk further than
I intended, laughing
over the word
'accessible'.

Love's Jewel Is Easy To Find
Love is a friend inside your heart
Love's a wonder the start,
A pleasure to give
Love is to believe,
The way to live
Love is not for those
Who love to hate,
Love is beauty as is a rose
Love opens heaven's gate,
Love opens many doors
Love from the heart and it's yours
Love's jewel is easy to find,
Love's the soother of the mind.
Love is riches for the kind
Love is for lovers who often fight
Love will always hold them tight,
If you think you've been left out
God will always love you there is no doubt.

Open The Gate
I see you from the distance
From beyond the fence you made
Hiding all your feelings
Behind your barricade
Oh have you been invaded
Is this the reason why you hide
I know just how you're feeling
I know - let me inside
Open the gate up
Open the gate up - hurry
Open the gate up - hurry
I want to get near you
But you just won't let me in
'Cause you're so scared of losing
Everything you've got within
Come on now you can trust me
Come on and open the door
'Cause I know just how you're feeling
I know - I've been there before
Open the gate up
Open the gate up - hurry
Open the gate up
Hurry hurry hurry hurry
And do it right now
Do it right now
Do it right now
Do it right now - hurry
Do it right now - do it right now
Do it right now - do it right now
And do it right now - do it right now
Do it right now - do it right now
Hurry
Open the gate up
Open the gate up - hurry
Open the gate up
Hurry hurry hurry hurry
Open the gate up - open the gate up
Or I'm gonna knock the damn door down
Open the gate up - open the gate up
Or I'm gonna knock the damn door down
Open the gate up - open the gate up
Or I'm gonna knock the damn door down
Open the gate up - open the gate up
Or I'm gonna knock the damn door down
Down

An Act
Deploring an act is to despise the person,
Others do sin as well, but what is that sin?
The entrance shines in front of you,
Take the brother of this gate, and you prosper.
Sins are to be forgiven, welcome to the good,
This gate then opens for some who do not murder.
Let felons work after heaven and hell are laid,
Eggs of dangerous properties are eaten by the criminals.
Once the eggs enter the stomach, a real wrong enters,
Eggs of hens are not lethal, but these are different.
An act so despised can never leave the soul,
And the souls can never enter the brotherly gates.

Be A Giver
It is a great deal better to love than loved,
To help than helped, to make one grateful
Than being so and to forgive than forgiven.
Be a giver to feel the pride of giver.

Deaths gate
There's a gate that I want to walk through.
I want to go to deaths gate.
Where all my troubles will be gone.
No more hartache no more fears.
Just the freedom of tommorrrow.
Without the fears of the day.
Itll keep my demons away.
I want to go to deaths gate.
To end my life and strife.
I dont want to be in this lifetime of hate.
Theres a gate I'll go through soon.
I'll be entering deaths gate.
It wont be an acicedent you see.
It'll be suicide

To A Friend Of A Friend
a friend of a friend
has been a widow for 20 years
this she reveals when
she hitched in our car
my wife's face is twisted
and she does not speak a lot
we cut the story short
she gives the direction where she will be dropped
like some garbage
i pity her. i really pity her.
at the red gate she waits
no one opens the door
it is 10 o'clock in the evening
the car backs out
finding itself passing again by the same red gate
she sits on the pavement and holds her bag as though it is her only possession
i don't really know if that is her house
does she lie still at this age?
my wife lambastes me like thunder
unable to hold her contained temper
we cut the story shorter
we leave her on her own
whatever that means

One That Was Not Sought
A gift is given...
Without an ego displayed,
By the giver attached.
The receiver of the gift...
Believing there to be more,
To this giving...
Than something as simple,
As that!
And...
The gift given is given back.
With sarcastic remarks...
And other unnecessary verbal attacks.
The giver of the gift,
Although offended by this...
Keeps a head straight on shoulders.
And makes only forward steps.
With a lesson learned...
And not a temper to display,
The gift giver never shows a disappointment.
Or has a thing to say.
Knowing that a wisdom,
Came as a surprise lesson taught.
From a teacher in disguise.
And from one that was not sought.

We Are Not Separate, We Are Connected!
Loke samsta sukhino bhavanthu,
Sarve Jana sukhino bhavanthu!
It is a beautiful prayer,
When prayers become oath,
Opens the path,
When love suppress hate,
Heaven opens every heart,
Its shining golden gate, We may look different,
But we are connected,
Never can live separate!
Look what speaks in us and what it speaks,
'I am the life,
Sometimes wise,
Sometimes foolish,
Sometimes meaningful,
Sometimes ridiculous!
Just like a
light bulb,
Flashing different shades of
colours,
Of various intensity,
Depending on flow of power
through me! '
Find the source of all powers,
Follow the line to reach the source!

I Am A Patriot
And the river opens for the righteous (5 times)
Someday
I was walking with my brother
And he wondered whats on my mind
I said what I believe in my soul
Aint what I see with my eyes
And we cant turn our backs this time
I am a patriot
And I love my county
Because my country is all I know
I want to be with my family
The people who understand me
Ive got nowhere else to go
And the river opens for the righteous
And the river opens for the righteous
And the river opens for the righteous
Someday
And I was talking with my sister
She looked so fine
I said, baby, whats on your mind?
She said, I want to run like the lion
Released from the cages
Released from the rages
Burning in my heart tonight
And I aint no communist
And I aint no capitalist
And I aint no socialist
And I aint no imperialist
And I aint no democrat
And I aint no republican
I only know one party
And it is freedom
I am, I am, I am
I am a patriot
And I love my country
Because my county is all I know
And the river opens for the righteous
And the river opens for the righteous
And the river opens for the righteous
Someday
And the river opens for the righteous...

After Days Of Rain
AFTER DAYS OF RAIN
After days of rain
The blue returns to the sky
The world is fresh again
The greens deeper
Every breath has hope in it
And the sky opens and opens and opens
As if there is always somewhere greater and better to go.

You Are The Sky
You are the sky
I always look upon.
You are the sky
I always speak to
about everything in myheart
my wishes
my hopes
my joys
my sorrows.
You are the sky...
'though speechless
you give me comfort
in times of too much stress
in my daily life.
You are the sky...
someday I will join you
when the gate of eternity
opens for me.

When God Opens Heaven's Gates
When God opens Heaven's gates
As we cross that gulf so wide,
The arms of Jesus open
As our soul will there abide.
When God opens heaven's gates
We'll see beauty all around,
Our loved ones, too, will greet us,
As we leave this earth behind.
When God opens Heaven's gates
There'll be singing angels there,
The awesome peace and joyfulness
Will permeate the air.
As God opens Heaven's gates
And His Light takes place of day,
Jesus welcomes us forever
As the ones who found "The Way."

the things that we do
are simply done
is there a need of putting
a name on the plate that you have washed?
is there a need for the tree that bore the fruit
to put the name of the owner
and the grower of the fruit that falls
on the ground
that you pick and pickle?
the giver, the real giver does not have a name
he simply gives because when he does not
he gets hurt and dies.
