Dynasty hardly dies
Some are thrust with crowns.
They manage to stay afloat.
Some have wrested their crowns
By virtue of their sheer talents.
The first category is rampant
As marketing is the rule.
Be it in stardom, in profession,
Or in politics or in sports,
Crowns are thrust or reserved.
Kingdoms were dissolved
But not the dynasty.

Crown Him With Many Crowns
Musical adaptation: michael w. smith
Crown him with many crowns,
The lamb upon the throne:
Hark! how the heavnly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of him who died for thee,
And hail him as thy matchless king
Thru all eternity.
Crown him with many crowns
Crown him with many crowns
Crown him the lord of heavn:
One with the father known.
One with the spirit thru him givn
From yonder glorious throne.
To thee be endless praise.
For thou hast died for me;
Be thou, o lord, thru endless days
Adored and magnified
Adored and magnified
Crown him with many crowns
His glories now we sing,
Who died and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring
And...lives that death may die.
Crown him with many crowns

God Bestows A Martyr’s Crown
God bestows many crowns
upon faithful discrete servants
in heaven herald highest worn
is prestigious martyr’s crown
servants who willing laid down
their precious witness life blood
earned in peaceful protest divine
against any corruptible depraved
evil on earth detestable practices
win right to heaven worn crown
five crowns be choices in heaven
five crowns rewards for believers
at Judgement Seat of Jesus Christ
believers earned in earthly bodies

A Business Trip. Sonnet for Epiphany.
Their wives were not too keen about it all:
beyond the call of duty, so it seemed;
for if they read the heavens’ portents so well,
what need of proof; of presence at the scene?
And then, to go without due retinue
through unforgiving deserts, foreign towns,
and forests hiding thieves - and wild beasts too?
And carrying rich gifts? And worse – their crowns!
And so, to risk three kingdoms, not just one?
And this, for sake of some religious creed
not even theirs? … ‘Nay, love – it must be done:
we crown our lives, and kingdoms, with this deed;
these crowns are symbols of our rule on earth
to yield the King of Heaven at His Birth..’

Worn Only By Christian Martyrs
this one thinks martyr's crown in heaven foolishness
of five crowns worn in heaven martyrs crown highest
why of the five crowns is martyrs crown highest?
worn only by Christian martyrs who died in Christ
this one renounces Christ's name as inconvenient
is ashamed to honour symbolic death crucifixion?

A Cuckoo Song
Crowns are for kings to wear, sad crowns of gold
Over tired heads that ache, world--cares untold.
Not on thy happy brows, sweet bird of summer,
Set we such crowns to--day, thou Spring's new--comer.
Take from us, rather, thou these our wild posies.
April's and May's we bring, June's with its roses.
Nay and love's Cuckoo flowers, O child of glory!
Cuckoos thine own birds are; these be thy dowry.
Eve of our heart's shut field, need is we grieve thee,
Gone to a world more sweet where we must leave thee.
Russet--clad nightingales, tired of our chaunting,
Out in the dark we weep, our Queen--bird wanting.
Such is the fate of birds. Soon as the Spring comes
Vagrant they flit and fly. Lo! 'tis their King comes.
Endeth our night plaint only when, through the wild wood,
New born the day trips in, laughs as a child would.
O, then we too will laugh, join in the gay chime,
Run to thy marriage bells, birds of the day--time.

Love Sonnet 31 Red rose for my love, the best heaven owns,
Red rose for my love, the best heaven owns,
The fairest Earth could bloom beneath the skies,
As tucked upon her hair instead of crowns,
Bestows well what the lack of crowns denies;
That wisp of cloudiness above her head,
Heralds the sudden souring of the day,
Yet, does not damp the warmth her smiles have spread,
Though crickets chirp thinking that night would lay;
Her sighs could drown this soft cacophony,
As ear discerns better the whispered word,
Within my heart she plays a symphony,
And those who love must have known every chord;
….My love, timely toast of the morning dew,
….Quite enough reason why red roses grew.

Ring Of Grass
Rings of grass crowns of flowers they're gone gone gone gone
Furs that I woven of whispering hours gone gone gone gone
She's gone away where the rings are real
And the furs have warmth that a woman can feel
Round and round round goes the wheel
And she's gone gone gone gone gone
Rings of grass and crowns of flowers gone gone gone gone
Castles of sand with seashell towers gone gone gone gone
She's gone away where the dreams are small
But the castles are rock and they never fall
And left me here to live among all that is gone gone gone gone gone
Rings of grass oh why did they die away gone gone gone gone
Whispering hours where did they fly away gone gone gone gone
And where is the wisdom to understand
That years would crumble our castles of sand
And the flowers and grass turn brown in our hands
When it's gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone

The Republican Genius Of Europe
Emporers and kings! in vain you strive
Your torments to conceal--
The age is come that shakes your thrones,
Tramples in dust despotic crowns,
And bids the sceptre fail.
In western worlds the flame began:
From thence to France it flew--
Through Europe, now, it takes its way,
Beams an insufferable day,
And lays all tyrants low.
Genius fo France! pursue the chace
Till Reason's laws restore
Man to be Man, in every clime;--
That Being, active, great, sublime
Debas'd in dust no more.
In dreadful pomp he takes his way
O'er ruin'd crowns, demolish'd thrones--
Pale tyrants shrink before his blaze--
Round him terrific lightenings play--
With eyes of fire, he looks then through,
Crushes the vile despotic crew,
And Pride in ruin lays.

There are three crowns: bible, priesthood, royalty. but the crown of a good name surpasses them all.
In shaded oak crowns
A cicada chorus sings.
Crickets chirp at night.
