Forgiveness does not mean the cancellation of all consequences of wrong doing. It means the refusal on God's part to let our guilty past affect His relationship with us.

Another misconception is that an order is canceled when you hit 'cancel' on your computer. But, the fact is it's canceled only when the market gets the cancellation.

Jose Ortega y Gasset

We cannot put off living until we are ready. The most salient characteristic of life is its coerciveness it is always urgent, 'here and now,' without any possible postponement. Life is fired at us point-blank.

No Common Thread

If no common thread is to be found,
To begin weaving a chemistry.
It would be pointless to continue a search,
For a seamstress,
Or tailor
To design something fitting and suitable,
To taste!
When a pattern unfit...
Will never be customed made,
To meet the needs
Of what already is unmatched.
This is not a consideration.
This is a cancellation waiting to happen.
Another selection is recommended,
Before any order takes place!

A Kick

A kick is too glamourous, forming punches
In the air, as their combat spells and abolishes.
How does one force cancellation?
An odious disaster shall bring deactivation.
The left and right hands are legs as well,
To actually brighten and deaden to tell.
I kick in this oxygenated air to turn us into warriors,
We shall bring victory to massive armies - no deserters.

Cancellation

The innocence is like cancer,
A cancellation of heaven
Wherever the world.
Cancer is a camera, a post
To be held in the hand.
The cameraman is gifted,
My warming of the shape is plenty.
Boiling and melting,
Snapping and curling,
My cancer spreads
And conceals itself
Until medicine looks at it,
The doctor connects.
Innocence is a way of cancer.

If a university official's letter accusing a speaker of having a proclivity to commit speech crimes before she's given the speech - which then leads to Facebook postings demanding that Ann Coulter be hurt, a massive riot and a police-ordered cancellation of the speech - is not hate speech, then there is no such thing as hate speech.

The Change Has Come

THE change has come, and Helen sleeps—
Not sleeps; but wakes to greater deeps
Of wisdom, glory, truth, and light,
Than ever blessed her seeking sight,
In this low, long, lethargic night,
Worn out with strife
Which men call life.
The change has come, and who would say
'I would it were not come to-day'?
What were the respite till to-morrow?
Postponement of a certain sorrow,
From which each passing day would borrow!
Let grief be dumb,
The change has come.

Righteous One

Fond of leadership and fond of dedication,
My why do we understand this action?
Offered to a leader is then to relapse
Into a putsch, a fraught ability and collapse.
My genius knows his will is greater than the order,
What is this order? Why is it my daughter?
The leaders cancel our debt, and faster,
Justice brings full cancellation of the master.
I see new laws bringing new hope,
What Hope! What love does this bring and cope?

SONNET: Contentment is the core to Happiness

Buying a car today would be so nice!
Having a car thats old is quite alright;
Getting a car tomorrow would be wise!
Changing a car each day would not be right.

Having something thats old is good enough;
Having something today seems still better;
Having something tomorrow is quite tough;
Yet, satisfaction's prime that must matter.

Each thing in time has its advantages;
Postponement's not something you always do;
One shouldn't decide slowly or take ages;
All things have demerits and beauty too!

Yet, values old have stood the test of time!
And modern things don't make life more sublime!

Snow In Duhallow

The fields and hills and towns of Duhallow are covered in snow
And ice on the pools where the Blackwater flow
On it's way through icy North Cork to the Atlantic Shore
Something not seen or not often heard of before.

Sean Radley with his camera in Millstreet Town
The images online of where he walked up and down
Snow on the rooftops and snow on the street
'Tis not a place where one could walk on bare feet.

Andreas Zenker with his camera did display some skill
In his graphic images of snow clad Mushera Hill
In Mushera in Winter the silence is profound
When the frosty winds are blowing across the high ground.

Michelle O Keeffe's photos of the frozen Blackwater at Dooneen
In the snow covered countryside around could not see any green
In her portrayal of the reality she did rather well
Every picture 'tis said it's own story does tell.

'Tis true enough the camera does never lie
Many wild creatures in the harsh Irish Winter will die
There may not be many birds left to welcome the Spring
In groves and in woodlands fewer songsters to sing.

A hero to the children of Ireland though that may be brief
Is the Minister for Education the Cullen born and raised Batt O Keeffe
By order he has closed down the schools till the thaw does set in
At least for the children in it there's a win.

From Millstreet Michael Cashman, Eily Buckley, John Tarrant and Hannelie O Connor not much joy to report
Only cancellation of events and cancellation of sport
Road bowling and soccer, hurling and gaelic football
And the fiftieth anniversary celebrations in Ballydaly Hall.

I lay here in the sunshine improving my tan
Whilst telling myself I am a lucky man
I could be in Duhallow gazing at Clara Hill
With chattering teeth in the harsh Winter chill.

The Last Mall

Attention all shoppers
It's Cancellation Day
Yes the Big Adios
Is just a few hours away
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall
You'll need the tools for survival
And the medicine for the blues
The sweet treats and surprises
For the little buckaroos
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall
We've got a sweetheart Sunset Special
And all of the standard stuff
'Cause in the morningthat gospel morning
You'll have to do for yourself when the going gets tough
Roll your cart back up the aisle
Kiss the checkout girls goodbye
Ride the ramp to the freeway
Beneath the blood orange sky
It's last call
To do your shopping
At the last mall

I’m A Rogue

I’m a rogue who likes to prorogue any
routine job because I know, tomorrow
I will stop procrastinating, if I should do
everything today, what on earth would
I do another day

Some people may think postponement
should not be condoned; but it gives me
time to assemble my thoughts, sip a little
wine, reflect on la dolce vita, and as soon
as inspiration

Springs spontaneously, this rogue tackles
her work without prorogue, enjoying a merci-
less march through the dry marshes of her
boring documents, until she reaches the
satisfying end

And throttles back again, back to reflective
cruising mode, ready to prorogue in the same
roguish way until the next spurt of inspiration…

Sonnet: Patience Rewards

Have patience, Man, Woman-success is nigh;
'Tis time, defeat is vanquished, forever;
No more can failures make us slowly die;
The God of love, forsakes us not, Never.

Our labor's fruits have grown big and are ripe;
'Tis time to harvest and enjoy them now;
Our forehead's sweat, no more, we need to wipe;
Let’s genuflect, thank God while our heads bow.

Who says this world is full of only woes?
A lazy man can't reap success in life;
Postponement, hopelessness are our main foes;
Our earthly-life has challenges and strife.
As every storm and gale in life must end;
More patience pays us richer dividend.

Tree Of Light Dances

Pursuit of otherness died
with you, from sameness.
It was a blind chemistry.
The cancellation of consciousness
did not lead to peace.
In the name of freedom
we destroyed our relations.
The shadow of sphinx always overlook us,
shaping bare bones.

Epic symbols gave you
the infinity of after life.
You grope in dark
to find the future
and present suffers in austerity.
The space between inner and outer body widens.
Something has to be done
to provoke the legends to become the evidence.

You adore a conclusion
it never changes. Images differ,
myths and symbols make a dry sound.
The silence is wrenched into a seizure,
falling into the emptiness of tomorrow.
Unreasonable thrust of color
does not alter the darkness of blood
and song. Tree of light dances.
