The Change Has Come
THE change has come, and Helen sleeps—
Not sleeps; but wakes to greater deeps
Of wisdom, glory, truth, and light,
Than ever blessed her seeking sight,
In this low, long, lethargic night,
Worn out with strife
Which men call life.
The change has come, and who would say
'I would it were not come to-day'?
What were the respite till to-morrow?
Postponement of a certain sorrow,
From which each passing day would borrow!
Let grief be dumb,
The change has come.

Contentment is the core to Happiness
Buying a car today would be so nice!
Having a car thats old is quite alright;
Getting a car tomorrow would be wise!
Changing a car each day would not be right.
Having something thats old is good enough;
Having something today seems still better;
Having something tomorrow is quite tough;
Yet, satisfaction's prime that must matter.
Each thing in time has its advantages;
Postponement's not something you always do;
One shouldn't decide slowly or take ages;
All things have demerits and beauty too!
Yet, values old have stood the test of time!
And modern things don't make life more sublime!

I’m A Rogue
I’m a rogue who likes to prorogue any
routine job because I know, tomorrow
I will stop procrastinating, if I should do
everything today, what on earth would
I do another day
Some people may think postponement
should not be condoned; but it gives me
time to assemble my thoughts, sip a little
wine, reflect on la dolce vita, and as soon
as inspiration
Springs spontaneously, this rogue tackles
her work without prorogue, enjoying a merci-
less march through the dry marshes of her
boring documents, until she reaches the
satisfying end
And throttles back again, back to reflective
cruising mode, ready to prorogue in the same
roguish way until the next spurt of inspiration…

Sonnet: Patience Rewards
Have patience, Man, Woman-success is nigh;
'Tis time, defeat is vanquished, forever;
No more can failures make us slowly die;
The God of love, forsakes us not, Never.
Our labor's fruits have grown big and are ripe;
'Tis time to harvest and enjoy them now;
Our forehead's sweat, no more, we need to wipe;
Let’s genuflect, thank God while our heads bow.
Who says this world is full of only woes?
A lazy man can't reap success in life;
Postponement, hopelessness are our main foes;
Our earthly-life has challenges and strife.
As every storm and gale in life must end;
More patience pays us richer dividend.

Time
Round and round your hands move..
You don't care when a needy asks you to wait..
Till the last second I was writing through..
But you rang the bell, telling me that i am late..
Addressing to the mighty clock; nothing to confuse,
No one can breathe easy, just flying kites..
For people like me, who can't be like recluse,
No clue does time leave, turning days and nights..
Time and Tide waits for no man,
A stitch in time does save nine..
Those who do abide these words, can
Be among successes, everything will be mine..
Postponement doesn't help; certain couplet does teach us..
You never can keep eyes away from time..
Because outputs will be good, when they reach us..
Inputs shouldn't include: PROCASTINATION, the crime..
Money can come back, if you have lost it..
Just like a boomerang does when ya throw..
But time doesn't come back, whatever did cost it,
Be cautious for the seeds that you sow..
Accept that time is the king,
And you are a soldier just fighting out..
It's the most precious thing..
And all are like puppets dancing about..

After Having One Good Cry
Oh dear, I have gained such a lot of weight,
now to learn how to make my peace with it,
then start shedding as much as possible
Won’t confess to Rudi how much it bothers
me, he’ll say I’m vain – and he’ll be right, of
course, I only need to look good for him and
Myself, nobody else - I hate my new picture,
I’ll start eating right and focus on being content
with life, apparently eating is an emotional crutch
To create a feeling of well-being artificially, I know
the postponement of the wedding and everything
that happened caused a great upset
But now’s the time to become emotionally mature
and make some new year’s resolutions, I will stop
feeling sorry for myself and seeking comfort
In scrumptious food, my wedding dress is so tight,
the dress-maker was quite angry, her son remarked
upon my widening girth and I felt so ashamed
Chin high, eyes bright, wide smile, I’ll conquer
the dragon of overeating as soon as possible-
right after having one good cry…

Zilch + Nothing = Zero
What if Christ Jesus had not paid,
Tell me who would ever be saved?
There’s no more 10% on lay-a-way,
Payment in full must be made today.
He didn’t pay a little now, a little later,
It would not have made Him our Savior,
We no longer have such a thing as C.O.D.,
What other than the blood could set us free?
In a war some soldiers sacrifice their lives,
Made hero’s by those who couldn’t get by,
What about one who did it for all mankind?
A greater love than this we will never find.
It is a word thrown about lightly you know,
A 100 yard interception doesn’t make a hero,
Cops, fire fighters, it’s life or death everyday,
Whether your burned to a crisp or blown away.
National Guard during Katrina could file a claim,
They certainly deserve a banner on the hero name,
The real ones aren’t seeking either fortune or fame,
They should not be crowned for winning any game.
In sports you do it over and over till it’s done right,
Practice, playbook or you learned from the last fight,
There are coaches and spies better known as scouts,
Those with money also have something called clout.
Hold on a minute, who has more wealth than Christ?
Even if there was someone would they give their life?
Maybe run an ad, countless mercenaries would respond,
From the actual field of battle they would be long gone.
Throughout all history there has only been predator or prey,
1 attacks with an all out assault while the other runs away,
If you choose to be fearful that’s usually how things stay,
It’s imperative to focus positively the start of each new day.
There is no time for a conference or a postponement date,
You must act immediately or you’re already way too late,
No one writes a check purchasing ingredients to be a hero,
So, if it’s not already in your heart, Zilch + Nothing = Zero.

Till The End Of The Day
Baby, I feel good
From the moment I arise
Feel good from morning
Till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Yeah, you and me
We live this life
From when we get up
Till we go sleep at night
You and me were free
We do as we please, yeah
From morning, till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Yeah, I get up
And I see the sun up
And I feel good, yeah
cause my life has begun
You and me were free
We do as we please, yeah
From morning, till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
You and me were free
We do as we please, yeah
From morning, till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Till the end of the day
Till the end of the day

I will die and go to my father
I will die and go to my father
without any further postponement, now
I will take my car and to the road,
die from everything ugly in me,
die from the wrong things between us,
die from that which separates us,
drive to where his white house is against the mountains
although fear clings to my heart.
I will die and go to my father,
die from that which has kept me so long from him,
die from all my pride,
die from all the wrong things in me
and even if I drive for hours long
while the sun fades,
I will take my car and to the road
and anchor myself on the eternal rock
(believe that he will be waiting me in) ,
die from all my pride
and believe that he will wrap his arms around me,
will hold me tightly.
I will die and go to my father
and believe that we will cry and laugh together,
believe that I will know of his love,
believe that he will be waiting me in,
without suspicion
and with repentance
I will take my car and to the road
and I will eat with him again
before time forever runs out,
believe that I will know of his love
and that he will really understand,
shall see me as his own.
I will die and go to my father
I will take my car and to the road
we will enter into deep conversations with love and new hope,
die from everything ugly in me
before time forever runs out,
die from that which separates us.

Early Mornin'
Early mornin'
All right, I was out real late last night
Got a little messy
Early morning
Can't be like that anymore, oh
I was shaking my ass in the streets this morning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, bump till the break of dawn and
It don't stop till the early morning
Passed out on the couch I'm yawning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, bump till the break of dawn and
It don't stop till the early morning
Wanna talk to
When he walked up someone grabbed him
But I liked him to come here
Kinda cool
Baby, we can make plans
Where ya live
Does your mama live there
We can hook up at the hotel
Hands down so
I told him, let's go
But waht happened next, guess?
But you don't wanna know
I was shaking my ass in the streets this morning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, bump till the break of dawn and
It don't stop till the early morning
Passed out on the couch I'm yawning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, bump till the break of dawn and
It don't stop till the early morning
Oh, in love
So I approached him
We gotta give him his friends
There's something bout him that show
So I said, what the hell
Let's go
Got up, got on the dance floor
Hooked up with a guy named Joe
When the music was fast and slow
But waht happened next, guess?
But you don't wanna know
I was shaking my ass in the streets this morning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, bump till the break of dawn and
It don't stop till the early morning
Passed out on the couch I'm yawning
Just walked in and it's early morning
Bump, b

Cant Stand Still
(young - young)
When I see a pretty woman
You know it gives me a thrill
And shes a tailor made to order
You know I cant stand still
And you wont need a doctor
cause itll cure all ills
And when I hear a noisy party
You know it gives me a chill
It gets me rockin and a rollin
And I cant stand still
From morning till midnight
You know I cant stand still
You know I cant stand still
I cant stand still
You know I cant stand still
I cant stand still
From morning till midnight
You know I cant stand still, oh yeah
When it comes to sippin honey
You know I drink my fill
And Ill be dancin on the water
You know I cant stand still
From morning till midnight
You know I cant stand still, oh yeah
You know I cant stand still
I cant stand still
I cant stand still
You know I cant stand still
From morning till midnight
You know I cant stand still
You know I cant stand still
I cant stand still
Baby I cant stand still
I just cant stand still
From morning till midnight
You know I cant
You know I cant stand still

I Don't Know
Monday morning is not Monday morning 'till Taylor has his coffee
Friday night is not Friday night 'till Jessie leaves the room sweaty
Tuesday morning is not Tuesday morning 'till Nick has his talk with his son
Thursday night is not Thursday night 'till Chris has sex with his bass
Come on to the Weekend
'Cause the Weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the Weekend
'Cause there's too much time bein' merrily nice guys
Tuesday morning is Wednesday afternoon when you cry all night
Wednesday early we fall into what I'll Phil-a-del-ph-i-a
Thursday morning is not Thursday morning 'till one of us says
How's your life
How's your life?
Yeah how's your life
How's your life?
Come on to the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause there's too much time to think and not much time to cry
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend we'll be high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look tired, but we'll get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if no one shared their humble appearance
What there were no consequences
What if there were no more arguments
Well that'd be a shame
And that'd be impossible
And you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way
Hold on 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look scared, but we're really nice guys
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause the weekend I'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'Cause we may look strange but we surely will get by
What if there were no more mama's boys
What if we all had no thinking together
Would that be a shame...
And that'd be impossible
'Cause you would be bored
'Cause you wouldn't want it any other way

On The Run
I'm looking for a way to calm these voices in my head
With all this mad confusion
I don't wanna leave this bed
I'm on the run
I'm on the run again
And I don't know which way is left
And there's no point in not being right
So I'll hold my breath till the morning
Till I see the light
I'm on the run
I'm on the run again
From me
I'm drowning in these feelings
And it's scaring me to death
Staring at the ceiling
So many things I could have said
And I don't know which way is left
And there's no point in not being right
So I'll hold my breath till the morning
Till I see the light
So many time
So many signs
You're out there waiting
I should have known
You're out there waiting
And I don't know which way is left
And there's no point in not being right
So I'll hold my breath till the morning
Till I see the light
I'm on the run
I'm on the run again
From me

Monday morning is not monday morning

Friday night is not friday night

Tuesday morning is not tuesday morning
'till nick has his talk with his son
Thursday night is not thursday night
'till chris has sex with his bass

'cause the weekend i'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause there's too much time to think
And there will be nice skies
Tuesday morning is wednesday afternoon
When you cry all night
Wednesday early we fall into work
All caught up in the day by day
Thursday morning is not thursday morning
'till (alanis???) says how's your life
How's your life?
Yeah how's your life
How's your life?
Come on to the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get by

'cause you wouldn't want it a little too late...
Hold on 'till the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get by
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause the man upstairs has the really nice skies
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause the weekend i'll get high
Hold off 'till the weekend
'cause we may look strange but we surely will get by

Who Are We Trying To Fool?
Iris
I like to think my heart is just a muscle
A muscle that Ive learned to control
I figured, hell, one harmless midnight tussle
With you would rest quite easy on my soul
Now I see youre a tres, tres goddamn charmer
An actress is taught to be cool
But who am I trying to fool?
Paperman
Id like to toast your firm determination
But human natures got the best of me
Ive never forced myself upon a lady
Iris
Youre about as subtle as artillery
Paperman
Ive been here before and I have to admit
That I cant keep my cool
Who are we trying to fool?
Who are we trying to fool?
Paperman dont look for me to be your savior
Iris no good can come from this behavior
Sheila
This aint no mystery, look at our history
Its just another wild caribbean night
The rum and drums just bring out whats in us
Temptations been here since that very first bite
Who are they tryin to fool?
Who are they tryin to fool?
They should forget it, theyll both regret it
He wants a push, she needs a shove
Hes got a good wife, she hides a dark life
Fuel for combustion ? anger and love
Who are they tryin to fool?
Who are they tryin to fool?
Who are they tryin to fool?
Paperman
Life is for most of us one long postponement
Iris
If we think too much I guess well miss our chance
Paperman
Its our time, our night, our island, not our future
Iris its not the whole tamale, just one dance
Duet
So who are we trying to fool?
Who are we trying to fool?
Lets break all of those goddamn kinja rules
