Possessions dwindle: I mourn their loss. But I mourn the loss of time much more, for anyone can save his purse, but none can win back lost time.

Sense of loss

About you I think
Then could not blink
I gaze in the skies
With wandering eyes
Those feelings of love
Why kept I above
I think about the days
Falling of the rays
When do we play
On the ocean’s bay
I sob for the days

Sob for the past
That could not last
Left me all alone
To groan and mourn
The loss of emotions
I mourn and bemoan
Love’s sojourn
I swear of my soul
I can not condole

Loss of sense
Sense of loss

Loss Of...

Loss it seems is the worst kind of sorrow
Loss of dreams, the dreams of tomorrow

Loss of the moments you two should have shared
Loss of opportunities to show her you cared

Loss of the memories you both could have created
Loss of the romance once intense as you dated

Loss of a kiss, caress, or embrace
Loss of that special feeling no one else can replace

Loss of a look, the twinkle in her eye
Loss of the touch as you pass each other by

Loss of a future, from a past of regret
Loss of a last chance, how many do you get

Loss of a promise you never meant to break
Loss of two hearts that forever will ache

Solitude Of Loss

Behold thy sister - on a journey so long
behold she leaves to return no more
behold thy sister - thy only companion
remember your times for there'll never be more

wipe your tears 'cos leave she must
no matter the wail she ne'er return
begin to mourn - for your sister is dead
oh this lad shall wail but the deed is done

silence and seethe have crept in to stay
oh the emptiness of loss and sorrow to bear
to carry the load all - all alone
and pigments of grief his face to smear

his life alone - a thing to learn
his morn of mourn shall be of darkness
the pain of loss shall be his own
and his nights shall be of torment and coldness

oh! the grieving psyche of him
death has failed to complete his work
the spiritual bond is not severed
his life to mourn forever locked

Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable

The death of a twelve year old,
Her sister shed tears,
But the body was cold,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

She felt all had lost hope,
It was her fault,
'I let go the rope! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'I should have pulled her up'
'I lost grip'
'I should'nt have given up! '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'You trusted me! '
'And there is no reason....'
' No you shouldn't have, see? '
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

'No! It's not your fault! ',
Said her sister,
Who lay dead in the vault,
Loss Unbearable, Loss Irrepearable.

Loss of Time

A forgotten time
A forgotten society
A forgotten land
A forgotten people
A time of peace
A time of war
A time of grieving
A time of celebration
A time of loss
A loss of knowledge
A loss of dignity
A loss of loved ones
A loss of sanity
A loss of peace
A beginning of a new time
A beginning of new life
A beginning of new knowledge
A beginning of new peace
A beginning of new war
Its all a cycle
From a new beginning
To loss
To a time of difference
Till it is all forgotten
And a new beginning is forged.

Not All Losses Are Bad

Loss, most of the time bad. On occasion, great!

SOME TIME A LOSS CAN BE GOOD!

Can loss sometime be happy. You bet! Ask some
divorced couples.

The other guy had a loss and I won!

My ex had a loss, of most of our assets. Yes,
you guessed it, I got 'em!

Insurance companies, now there's some, that
many take great delight,
when they suffer a loss.

When the tax man does an audit, if they have
a loss, we have a win! (best kind of loss)

The person who brings suite against you,
suffers a loss. (Ain't that sweet?)

A hostile mother-in-law, suffers a loss,
when her daughter gets divorced.

When one experiences a weight loss.
Now that's something that would make
millions of people happy!

When the owner of your building, is deemed
to be, 'rent controlled, ' it brings a loss
to the greedy titleholder. (break out the champagne)

When the neighbor you hadn't spoken to for years,
has a loss, of the keys, to her car.

When the kid, who keeps running over your lawn,
with his bike, has a loss, of the two wheel monster.

When you child, who you love, but drives you nuts
with their loud music, has a broken stereo,
and a loss of music. (They're unhappy. You're ecstatic.)

When one has a loss of sleep, because their spouse
was amorous all night. (Ahhhh, the good old days.)

When your in-laws, prepare to come to your house,
for the first time, and have a loss of directions.

When your spouse, who cremates every barbecue
they ever handled, has a loss of the coals.
(Actually you hid them.)

When the know-it-all comes to your home, and
can't say a word, because they had a loss of
their dentures.

Remember...If you have a loss, sometime,
the loss is good!

Kinds of Loss

There's kinds of loss that can bum you out

The loss of a game
You lost your way
Losing your favorite pin

This can make you pout
But without a doubt
It is not a real big thing

The kind of loss that can make you shout

The loss of your job
The loss your car
When you could not pay

It left you confused
Feeling slightly defused
But then you can re-group

Then there a loss, that cuts deep within

My maternal rights that I tried not to win
So stupid to give up such a gift
To watch my boys grow, live with the man
that I've tried so much to get away

No school papers to hang on my frig
No more practices to run to at night
Now I that I am a part-time Mom
And try and do it all on my weekends

Romeo Delight

I told her, never in hell, no special reason.
Must a lied cause I aint leavin.
Were in for a very long night.
Heard a vicious rumor from your mamas tongue:
You a desprate woman, need a man with a gun.
High crime zone in the city of lights.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Im takin whiskey to the party tonight,
And Im lookin for somebody to squeeze.
I aint lookin for somebody to fight.
Baby, dont get uptight.
Baby, please!
Wanna see my i.d.? try to clip my wings!
Dont have to show you proof of anything.
I know the law friend.
At the leventh hour. Im goin back outside.
Give it a try.
Im your last loose end.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Im takin whiskey to the party tonight
And Im lookin for somebody to squeeze.
I aint lookin for somebody to fight.
Baby, dont get uptight.
Baby, please!
I feel my heart beat,
Feel my heart beat,
Feel my heart beat,
Oh yeah.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Baby, please!
Cant take it anymore.
Im takin whiskey to the party tonight,
And Im lookin for somebody to squeeze.
I aint lookin for somebody to fight.
Baby, dont get uptight.

Loss, Strain Butterflies

He got bad when she got mad
He lowered it one more time and she got even
No one heard a single word
But as the clock ticked from next door I could hear her breathing
I said good morning mr. sun, now I would like you to meet my friend mr. bomb
(he has a house made out of butterflies)
Well I cant sleep sometimes but Ive been told
Its a lonely condition called growing old.
Let me stumble sometimes...
Im looking for someone to cling to, yeah...
So what you think about that?
This time, well it all comes down
To loss and strain and butterflies,
And then it comes right down to me.
Hello, have you been alright?
Did you find a piece of something
Wrapped around the light side of your life
To make you feel better?
Did you get out with your sanity?
Did you save a little something for the people in need?
Did you know with the rain in your pockets, you can change the weather?
Im looking for something to cling to, yeah
Girl, what you think about that?
Well this time, yeah it all comes down
To loss and strain and butterflies
Then it comes right down to me.
Well this time, this time, yeah it all comes down
To loss and strain and butterflies.
Hey yeah yeah, come on down to me...
Is this just the total for the wages of our sins?
Have you made yourself a victim in a game that you cant win?
And are we caving in?
Does it all begin with loss and strain and butterflies?
Does it come right down to me, anymore?
Yeah this time, maybe, does it all come down
To loss and strain and butterflies?
Hey yeah yeah, well...
Come on down to me.

Lost In A House Fire

The loss of a child
The loss of a wife
Tis all the same as the loss of your own life
The loss of house and all that's inside
Tis all the same as if your whole soul had died
The loss of temper
Loss of faith and self-control
Tis all the same as knowing you have now grown very old
The loss of all memory when all is becalmed
When you find that your wife and child all safe and unharmed

Wishing For The Past

For Bobcat

After all these lonely years
Why do I still love you so much
Why do I still miss your smile
And still crave your touch

I hear your sweet voice
In my dreams each night
And I constantly wonder
How can I make this right

Still lost in the sweet dreams
I wake and reach for you
But your love is just a memory
A dream I wish would come true

Why do I still feel the loss
Down so deep in my soul
When will I understand it all
So my heart can be whole

You were not my first love
But I promise you will be my last
I will mourn your loss forever
Constantly wishing for the past

Undying Music

I dreamed of you last night;
We were young, vibrant and free
Hearts pounding, mouths dry and bellies hot
We laid together
And you loved me.

I awake to daily life and mourn
Not the loss of you
(For you were never mine)
But the loss of slim youthfulness
And heady rushes of love.

A part of me is ever yours
Neglect it as you will
Like a monument ignored,
Taken for granted
Until it stands no longer.

The Gardener XXXVIII: My Love, Once upon a Time

My love, once upon a time your poet
launched a great epic in his mind.
Alas, I was not careful, and it struck
your ringing anklets and came to
grief.
It broke up into scraps of songs and
lay scattered at your feet.
All my cargo of the stories of old
wars was tossed by the laughing waves
and soaked in tears and sank.
You must make this loss good to me,
my love.
If my claims to immortal fame after
death are scattered, make me immortal
while I live.
And I will not mourn for my loss nor
blame you.

The Immortal Souls

Gloomy sky is searching her brave twin skyscraper
sadly disappeared on this particular day five years ago
and I hear the lament of Lady Liberty who cries for the grave tragedy.
The loved ones mourn for the loss of three thousand hearts
those who left five years ago without saying a good-bye!
This catastrophe was written in every heart
and we all mourn on this sad day
from our bottom of the hearts
for the immortal souls.

Dedication to the innocent 9/11 victims.

I Know This Poor Bloke

I know this poor bloke in the mood for suicide
And he has felt heavy hearted since the day his wife died
Some five years ago his ache of loss from him not gone
And till the day of his death his grief with him will live on.

I do meet him often though not every day
And for words to him I always feel stuck to say
He always talks of his dead wife and the grief that he feel
And for him I feel sorry since his sorrow is real.

On his sense of loss with him I sympathize
And each time I see him he has tears in his eyes
My condolences to him I already did pay
But the grief that he feels it is with him to stay.

The price of true love it can come at a great cost
And he is left to mourn for what he has lost
One in his late sixties his hair silvery gray
And the clock on his life it is ticking away.

A man due to grief in the mood for suicide
Though he is one now I would rather avoid
Since each time I meet him he talks of his dead wife
And I am one who needs laughter in my life.
