Old scar, new scar
Old scar, new scar
Stitched together by excellent tailor
Old scar on the hand
New scar on the head
Same pain, different trouble
First came shock
Then hurt became blue
Blue’s gone leaving scar
Old scar, white scar
New scar, hidden well
When morning’s gone, nights always come
Craving old scar, leaving new scar
Old scar, new scar
Stitched together by excellent tailor

Even if the wound is healed, the scar of it remains.
There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with.

Scars of the ego.
The fall of the leaf is the scar of the tree.
The scar indicates the tree’s seasoned strength.
The loss of the love is the scar of the ego.
The scar reminds the ego of its worth

After That Love Long Gone
this i will tell you or i may not tell you at all
i have to think about a choice
i still have the scar, call it a souvenir.
whatever that is,
a proper word fitting like dado joints
my pride is
i am healed.

Thick skins
A scar for the scar is bravery.
To ignore a scar is chivalry.
To forgive it is exemplary.
Then, you must have a thick skin
To be branded a coward.

Wound
a wound will always
be a wound.
a scar may come
to say you are healed
but soon it will
remember the wound.
perhaps you have not
loved enough
to learn from those
whose hearts
are broken, they
say: forgive and forget.

Healer
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm
Hmm, oh Lord, Lord
Hmm, hmm, hmm
hmm, hmm
Hmm, hmm, hmm
Blues a healer, all over the world
Blues a healer, healer, all over the world, all over the world
It healed me, it can heal you
The blues can heal you, early one morning
It can heal you
The blues can heal you
Yeah, yeah
It healed me, healed me
It healed me
I was down
I was down
It healed me
Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, yes it did, yes it did
Look now
My woman left me
The blues healed me
My woman left me, left me early one morning
Hmm, hmm
The blues healed me, it healed me, healed me
Yeah, yeah!
Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord
Hmm, have mercy
The blues , the blues is a healer
Blues, blues, is a healing healer
it healed, healed, healed
Heal!
Heal, heal, heal!
All over the world, all over the world
It's a healer
One night, I was laying down, feeling so bad, so low, so low
My woman had left me, blues came along and healed me
Heal!
Heal!
(Carlos, it healed me, Carlos)
Carlos!
It healed me!
The blues, it healed , it healed, healer
Hey!
Hey!
Healed me!
Healed me!
Healer!
Hey!
Blues a healer
The blues a healer, all over the world, all over the world
Hmm
Lord, Lord, Lord
Blues a healer, all over the world, all over the world
Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord
Healed me, healed, healed, healed
It healed me
It healed me, to heal me
Can heal you, can heal you, heal you, if you let it

Thanks To You by Liz Franklin
Thanks to you the scar has healed.
Thanks to you I know that love is real.
Thanks to you I no longer feel used.
Thanks to you my heart is no longer abused.
Thanks to you I don't have to try.
Thanks to you I will no longer cry.
I love you so.
Now you know,
My love for you will never go.

The Scar
There is a scar that marks me now
that will not go away
It will be my constant reminder
of how I let you play
upon my heartstrings that were taut
tightly stretched upon my breast
plucked by fingers that I loved
that now are put to rest
But I will endure this marking
and I will endure the pain
For dreams can dwindle slowly
though the scar will ere remain
The slackened strings will not vibrate
They will become quite still
The even breathing will return
but the scar's the bitter pill

Free
So this is the cage that I built
Why I built it I dont know
Its bars made of anger and guilt, no lock
But somehow it just wouldnt let me go
All hail the messenger of love
I got your message loud and clear
Now Im hungry to be healed
And you cant, you cant keep me away
Im free
When we are one, I am complete
Im free
And Im undone and I will be healed in your eyes
I had to close a door in my life for another one to open
So i, I could go through, though I had no guiding light
And no signs somehow it still lead me to you
I learned a lesson here in love
And its ringing loud and clear
Now Im ready to reveal all the things
That before I could never say
Im free
When we are one, I am complete
Im free
And Im undone and I will be healed in your eyes
All hail the messenger of love
I got your message loud and clear
Now Im hungry to be healed
And you cant, you cant keep me away
When we are one, I am complete,
And Im undone, and I will be healed in your eyes
When we are one, I am complete,
And Im undone, and I will be healed in your eyes...
Im free...

Hide Me In Your Wounds
Hide Me In Your Wounds
By your wounds, I am healed
Healed in running away from internal strife
In giving up when there is still something to give
Your precious wounds gave me the love
When I wanted to give love
And the beauty and receiving grace instead of misfortune
By your wounds, I am healed
I am a survivor, a winner
I sing a new song in my heart
I witness the breaking of a new dawn each day
By your wounds I am healed
I believe that any storms in my life shall pass
And live my life one day at a time
By your wounds, I am yours
To teach, to guide, to revive and to forgive
I have forgiven myself, as I have forgiven others who caused me pain
Thank you Jesus..for those wounds
And hide me forever…

What matters is this: you can look at a scar and see hurt, or you can look at a scar and see healing. Try to understand.

A hero of his clime
This morning, as I cut into
the tough flesh of the huge tomato
with its brown, half-healed scar
like an old sabre wound from some great battle,
the thought came, if you can call
a vegetable, heroic, and why not,
then this old bruiser is a hero…
its red proud chest so stalwart set,
saying, I saw the season through..
come rain, come shine, come wind
and foul weather - what’s going on these days? –
I saw it all – and more than that –
I grew it – my way… and if they said,
as mortals do –
as if they knew a tom that’s true –
you’re not for us – I’ll say to you –
I saw two thousand seven through -
I lived it – my way…

Healed of My Hurt
Healed of my hurt, I laud the inhuman Sea--
Yea, bless the Angels Four that there convene;
For healed I am even by the pitiless breath
Distilled in wholesome dew named rosmarine.

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 60
Mendacity resembles a violent blow, the scar of which remains, though the wound may be healed. Seest thou not how the brothers of Joseph became noted for falsehood, and no trust in their veracity remained, as Allah the most high has said: Nay but ye yourselves have contrived the thing for your own sake.
One habitually speaking the truth
Is pardoned when he once makes a slip
But if he becomes noted for lying,
People do not believe him even when speaking truth.
Finally Free
The wound has healed
The scars are sealed
I can't feel it
Anymore
She can have you
I don't care
I'm am finally free
With nothing to hinder me
Do as you like
Do as you please
But nothing you do can hurt me
Watching you with others
Makes me smile
I am healed

The Woman with faith
For years you suffered
a dreadful decease
difficult was your life!
You heard
of the Lord Jesus
heard about His
healing powers
One morning you saw
Him passing by
you thought if you could
only touch His garment
you would be healed
your hand reached out
you touched His garment
What a faith you had
desired to be healed
to live life normally
and to be healed forever
courage you had
like no one else
You were healed
by the Lord's
healing power
He said:
'Courage my daughter
your faith
has made you well'
Your faith was
praiseworthy
strong enough
to move mountains
Blind faith
the faith
of a child
Faith you showed
too many
of us to move
mountains away
from our own will's
and desires

Hurt. Healed. And Now Distanced
Hurt.
Healed.
And now distanced.
With an attitude that has abandoned,
The honesty of feelings.
With no need for a heart,
To show emotions that include love...
With a purpose to elude the topic of it.
One to ignore and to skip.
Hurt.
Healed.
And now distanced.
From thoughts of relationships.
When they appear to show up...
They are immediately dismissed.
Not permitted to wonder!
Or permitted to exist.
Relationships that close...
The door has shut.
Sealed. Bolted!
Hurt.
Healed.
And now distanced.
