It is not the thief who is hanged, but one who was caught stealing.
Thief! ! !
You are a thief
THIEF, THIEF, THIEF
Thief from bones and soul
Thief till dust and ash
THIEF, THIEF, THIEF
Thief who steals and shouts
Thief who cheats and hides
You have a pride
A pride of THIEF
You have an ethic
An ethic of THIEF
You have rules
Rules of THIEF
You take what you want
And run from everyone
Irresponsible about what you’ve done
Leave this mess to be blown
THIEF, THIEF, THIEF
There’s nothing real
From your belonging
You’re just a thief
And why I should follow a thief

When the thief is seen stealing, he says he is joking; but when the thief is not seen, he steals.
Stealing Rosemary
If you need me
Ill be here
On my knees
On my knees
In the neighbors garden
Where the light is growing long
Stealing rosemary for you, my love
Its the tiny lies I tell
For you to please
You to please
Early in the morning
When the light is growing strong
Stealing rosemary for you, my love
Im stealing rosemary
Flowers crushing on my skin
Tuscan blue
All for you
Caught in rain and running
Home to you
Im coming home
Stealing rosemary for you, my love
Im stealing rosemary for you, my love
Stealing rosemary

Seen Him?
Caught in the middle of crime,
The thief waits for his next skill.
Your days are numbered like his,
But the days are too far away.
My thief worked all day, just all the way,
Always seeking money from the rich,
Gaining new food and tools for his protection.
The last sky was littered with food of his house,
The house was bitter with talk and losing.
He was a thief in the very sight, the thief.

Aner Clute
Over and over they used to ask me,
While buying the wine or the beer,
In Peoria first, and later in Chicago,
Denver, Frisco, New York, wherever I lived,
How I happened to lead the life,
And what was the start of it.
Well, I told them a silk dress,
And a promise of marriage from a rich man --
(It was Lucius Atherton).
But that was not really it at all.
Suppose a boy steals an apple
From the tray at the grocery store,
And they all begin to call him a thief,
The editor, minister, judge, and all the people --
"A thief," "a thief," "a thief," wherever he goes.
And he can't get work, and he can't get bread
Without stealing it, why, the boy will steal.
It's the way the people regard the theft of the apple
That makes the boy what he is.

Everything
Everything, everything, everything
We ever thought or said
Went in a box labeled us on a shelf
In the back of your head
Everything, everything, everything
We ever shared or did
Stored in a jar which I swear had true love
Pencilled in on the lid
Now youre saying, now youre saying, now youre saying
That you just dont love me anymore
Has there been a thief in your storehouse
Stealing away your memories?
Everything
Everything, everything, everything
We ever dreamt or planned
You tell me just blew away like
Confetti from some opened hand
Everything, everything, everything
You say you felt for me
Is it all dust and denial
As lifeless as some lunar sea?
Now youre saying, now youre saying, now youre saying
That you just dont love me anymore
Has there been a thief in your storehouse
Stealing away all our memories?
And did he latch your locks
And make your bells ring?
And did you let him in
To steal away what we had together?
Just everything
Now youre saying...
Everything

Five finger discount
While we were shopping, you tried to steal a bracelet that was worth a lot.
But before you could get out of the store, you got caught.
They thought I was an accessory so they prosecuted me as well.
I'm mad because you got me arrested so you can go to hell.
This incident has caused me a great deal of grief.
My girlfriend dumped me because she thinks I'm a thief.
You may not realize it but stealing is a sin.
It will be a cold day in hell when I go shopping with you again.

Diogenes On Fate
Diogenes is walking past
the crowds and the stalls
in the market
the butcher has caught a man
stealing meat
'Oh, ' says the thief
'It's my fate to steal -
do not punish me! '
'Oh, ' says Diogenes,
'if it's your fate to steal
then it's your fate to be beaten! '
And Diogenes beats him

11 Million Gigabyte
Hungry lane,
You don't have to steal to make a living;
For the dead are already begging to return!
And like the rum and the coke on your table.
Tainted love,
Have you seen her once again in your neighbourhood? ! !
For they can't stop me from living a better life with my muse,
Because you've stolen enough from me!
On the road of love and,
On the next track;
But do not steal because of your hunger!
For the thief will be caught by the law one day.
Stay like bees and be safe and protected,
And from hand to mouth for the house cleaning exercise;
For you may be judged when being caught by the law.
11 Million Gigabyte!
For the opening track of your mind is always negative;
That is why you lack the experiences of life,
For stealing will surely lead you to hell.

Begotten
No stealing is allowed when you meet him,
The son of his is condemned for being him.
A thief is excellent due to poor health,
But when he is begotten, the wealth is contrived.
One is amazed by the flute of freedom,
Singing like itself with profuse melody;
The begotten son amazes me when not stolen
Like the sound so erred by those insignificant ones.
The stealing of the piccolo deserves mention,
One talked to the highness of some. The ones
Who rule shall gain a wonder, from all this bounty.

Religions Are Welcome
It's a pleasure to lecture
About the sin of stealing.
It's a pleasure to listen
To talks on sins of stealing.
A thief speaks; other thieves hear.
Then they disperse for works.
Speaking and hearing about sins
Sooth the burns of sins people make.
Hence people welcome religions.

All beginnings are hard, said the thief, and began by stealing an anvil.
A thief passes for a gentleman when stealing has made him rich.
Every beginning is hard, said the thief, when he began by stealing an anvil.
That is why the analogy of stealing does not work. With a thief, we want to know how much money he stole, and from whom. With the artist it is not how much he took and from whom, but what he did with it.

Thief Without The Take
(i.lorre/j.buckley)
Jeff duets with inger lorre and plays guitar on this song, contained in inger lorres album trascendental medication.
Oh baby didnt you hear?
Im goin solo dear,
So low dear
I am the thief without the take
Im swallowing the bitterest pill
Totally ever so against my will
I am the thief without the take,
I am the thief without the take,
Everytime I try to do my art
Always fallin apart,
Fallin apart
I am the thief without the take,
I am the thief without the take,
Im the desert without sun
Five minus one diamond without shine
Im the poem that doesnt rhyme
Im the king on the hill
Sick and ill
Nothin I wouldnt trade to be the serving knave
Im the sun without heat
The drum without the beat
Im the winter without snow
Flame without a glow
I am the thief without the take,
I am the thief without the take
Everytime I try to do my art
Always fallin apart,
Fallin apart
I am the thief without the take,
I am the thief without the take
Ive stolen from myself too too long
Its just the music makes me want to go on
I am the thief without the take
