Lawyer's Paradise
Some times law is very confusing
System of courts is quite amusing,
The cases are not disposed off fast
So significance of the justice is lost.
One or for other reason day after day
Months and years, cases are delayed.
Justice seekers wait long in the process
Pay for being victim of the dilatoriness.
Lawyers get adjournment every time
And charge to their clients per diem.
Some times to harass the opposition
Take adjournment for flimsy reason.
Many clients are poor and uneducated
Pay for justice and wait time unlimited.
The client suffers by adjournment practice
And unfortunately fall victim to injustice.
Some lawyers are habitual of adjournment
Some Continue meaningless argument;
For each adjournment client has to pay
Lawyer extract money, clients face delay.
Courts which do not timely decide
Are the places of lawyers paradise.

There are some lawyers who think of themselves as basically instruments of whoever their clients are, and they pride themselves on their professional craft.

I still owe a duty of loyalty to my clients and former clients, so I cannot specify which clients I did not especially find congenial, but the cause was the same.

There has to be some limit to what lawyers can take from their clients. Otherwise, cagey attorneys end up with the lion's share of the settlement and the victims end up with little more than scraps.

Lawyers should not be charged with the same crimes as their clients. Trials related to political charges are not in accordance with human rights.

Lawyers' robes are lined with the obstinacy of suitors.
I had seen so many injustices done in the court by well-meaning people. I had lost fourteen clients to gang violence in only seven years. I was angry at a system I thought had failed my clients, and I was part of it.

This Side Of Game
The world has shrunk.
Have sex in half-black
bipartisan calculations.
Ripping apart,
no body was naked
inside the costume.
I was too wakeful
under the ventilator.
They were killing me methodically.
It was theatrical.
White gowns and blue gowns.
Only miracle was nude.
This was an endless pit.
Young boys had learned
to rape.

Vultures!
Vultures not aware that they are torturers,
Eagle may assume that they are simple predators,
Circling above the ground, enjoying the breezy wind,
looking down with deep eyes only for one thing.
When their prey is spotted, the concentration get centered,
Eyes on that prey, the thought on that prey,
Wings stop to swing before a forceful delay,
Legs, claws and the nails just land on that display.
Vultures are there in you and I,
When the business man looks for the business,
When the doctors wait for the patients,
When the lawyers wait for the clients,
When the leaders wait for the votes,
Vultures are everywhere in them, you and I.

Greek Architecture
Not magnitude, not lavishness,
But Form—the Site;
Not innovating wilfulness,
But reverence for the Archetype.

It has something to do with the facts and the law and who the judges are. So I think lawyers sometimes exaggerate their role in winning and losing. Lawyers do have a role, and a major role, but they're not the only players in this game.

Politically Incorrect Feminist Poem 1
So how would you feel if
you were lined up with the
80 virgins (I always thought
it was 76 - tough...)
lined up for
a 'martyr'
who'd just killed 80 people
including the odd fun-da-mental-ist?
Read the small print, honey.
(And that goes for you too, guys,
if the guy was.. well, you know?)
Just askin'...
