Useless
A useless life
Useless excuse.
A waste of life
Waste of breath.
Useless useless
Useless bitch.
Useless in every way
Just so useless
My life is complicated
It is useless
Its a hopeless cause.
I may as well just end things
And go far away

Can't See
We were both cast forth from the same pale hand
And we both moved freely in the shadowlands
And we both were sculpted by the same cold wind
And we both had armor that was made of tin
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And i tried to speak, but it was useless
And i felt so bad and i didn't know why
And it didn't get better as time went by
I was there for you, but you turned away
And i tried to find you, but you turned away
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And i tried to speak, but was useless
And i tried to find you, but it's useless
And you're so close, but i can't see you
And you're right there, but i can't see you
And i feel so dumb and i didn't know what to do
You were right there but i can't see you
And i realize that it's useless
And i want to fight, but it's useless
And i know you're there, but it's useless
And you're everywhere, but it's useless
And i tried to say it, but my tongue got tied
And i tried to say it, but i was numb inside
And i can't see you anymore
And my peace of mind has gone through the door
And i realize that it's useless
And i thought i was right, but it was useless
And i know you're there, but it's useless
And you're everywhere, but it's useless
And i can't see now in front of my nose
And i know you're there, and i know you're close
And you're fading away - now you disappear
And i try to focus, but i can't see clear
And i don't know why i feel this way
And i can't control myself anyway
And i don't know why i feel this way
And i can't control myself anyway
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i feel so bad, but it's useless
And i can't see... now in front of my face.

Here It Comes
I'm not so sure And yet I know
Give me your lie
It's worthless anyhow
And here it comes
I'm not so cold
As I like to think I am
Though I'll be found
Forever in your pain
And here it comes
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one to love
I'm just useless for her
And your useless for her
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one
I'd rather be no one than someone with no one to love
I'm just useless for her
Yeah your useless for her
I'm just useless for her

A cake is a very good test of an oven: if it browns too much on one side and not on the other, it's not your fault - you need to have your oven checked.

A Oven Liet
Where the flesh goes,
The mind follows.
The body is weak.
Why she left me alone.
How she got sick.
And no one calls the phone.
Never had to cook with her around
Now I found a light in the most unexpected place
The oven.
I sit in the dark tonight
In the kitchen
With only the oven light
While I try to mend.
And I brood like a chicken with her eggs
My seat feels like it's hatching
My bottom is burning
My soul squirming like a worm
Or a snake.
Yellow.
The color of companionship.
Cowardly, fearful, impertinent.
I stare into the oven
Light.

The Stand-Ins
In the dream
the swastika is neon
and flashes like a strobe light
into my eyes, all colors,
all vibrations
and I see the killer in him
and he turns on an oven,
an oven, an oven, an oven,
and on a pie plate he sticks
in my Yellow Star
and then
then when it is ready for serving—
this dream goes off into the wings
and on stage The Cross appears,
with Jesus sticking to it
and He is breathing
and breathing
and He is breathing
and breathing
and then He speaks,
a kind of whisper,
and says . . .
This is the start.
This is the end.
This is a light.
This is a start.
I woke.
I did not know the hour,
an hour of night like thick scum
but I considered the dreams,
the two: Swastika, Crucifix,
and said: Oh well,
it doesn't belong to me,
if a cigar can be a cigar
then a dream can be a dream.
Right?
Right?
And went back to sleep
and another start.

Get Your Biscuits In The Oven And Your Buns In The Bed
(Kinky Friedman)
You uppity women I don't understand
Why you gotta go and try to act like a man,
But before you make your weekly visit to the shrink
You'd better occupy the kitchen, liberate the sink.
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed
That's what I to my baby said,
Women's liberation is a-going to your head,
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed.
Early every morning you're out on the street
Passing out pamphlets to everyone you meet.
You gave up your Maiden Form for Lent
And now the front of your dress has an air scoop vent.
Every single brakeman that's ever come along
Had a little woman always tellin' him that he's wrong.
Eve said to Adam, ?Here's an apple you horse?
And Delilah defoliated Samson's moss.
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed
That's what I to my baby said,
Women's liberation is a-going to your head,
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed.
Mean-hearted harpies are breaking all the laws
Tearing up their girdles and a-burning up their bras,
Now the air is dirty and the sex is clean
And your coffee makes my hair turn green.
So damn emancipated in your mind and your body,
Gonna have to cancel all your lessons in karate.
If you can't love a male chauvinist
You'd better cross me off your shopping list.
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed
That's what I to my baby said,
Women's liberation is a-going to your head,
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed.

Useless Regrets
Got the demon in my veins,
Crawling blind and my head's a wreck
Wear it like a badge (of honor) on our chest,
But it's more like a noose wrapped around my neck
The more I fight the tighter it gets,
Cutting off my air and I can't breathe
Like the siren's song so innocent,
Till you're it's victim and cannot leave (so we)
Raise a glass to poor decisions,
Broken hearts, and blurred vision
This can't last forever
Everybody's got their own story

Useless Information
Sister jane has a little book
Full of autographs of useless people
Seems a waste in the time she took
And it gets me mad which makes us equal
Ooh, hundreds of people left out in the cold
Wearing the shoes that were silver and gold
Useless information
Tons of useless information
Seems to fill my head
With nowhere else to go
(isnt it amazing)
Mrs. pain at the dairy game
With the news about her operation
Will the... ever make the rain
Wash away such useless information
Chorus
Isnt it amazing
Now you can see why conversation is dying
And time is passing you by
Turn your ears to the weatherman
Saying it be colder in december
Get your boots and your....
Its been the same for years
So I remember
Chorus
Chorus
Hundreds of people filling my head with useless information

The Old Camp-Oven
WE DON’T keep a grand piano in our hut beside the creek,
And I’m pretty certain Hannah couldn’t bang it, anyhow,
But we’ve got one box of music, and I’d rather hear its squeak
Than the daisiest cantata that’s been fashioned up to now.
It’s an old camp-oven merely, with a handle made of wire,
But no organ built could nearly compensate to me for it
When I come off graft and find it playing tunes before the fire,
And I’m feeling sort of vacant, but just wonder fully fit.
In its sizzle, sizzle, sizzle,
There’s a thousand little airs,
And no man can sit and grizzle
’Bout his troubles and his cares
While the flames are gaily winding,
And the tea is down to brew,
And the old camp-oven’s grinding
All the reels he ever knew.
When the wet winds meet and whip me in the early winter nights,
And the hissing hailstones clip me all the way across the flat,
As I battle for’ards, water-logged, toward the beckoning lights,
There is always there a welcome to console a chap for that.
For my little wife is beaming brisk and bright beside the lamp,
And the old camp-oven’s going. Gosh! I feel just like a kid
As I peel and sluice so slippy, and I hear the storm winds vamp
To the singing of the oven when the missus lifts the lid.
There’s a sizzle and a splutter
And a whirr of many harps;
Where’s the instrument can utter
Such a maze of flats and sharps?
Not for me the great creations
When the old camp-oven plays
‘Home Sweet Home,’ with variations,
At the end of working days.
In the evenings dim and hazy, stretched outside along a butt,
Feeling reasonably lazy, blowing clouds that curl and climb,
I can hear the old camp-oven on the logs before the hut
Ripping out a mellow chorus that just suits the place and time.
If we strike it in the ranges, or The Windmill turns out well,
I suppose there’ll be some changes, and I’ll want to make things gee;
But the time will never happen when I’ll be so steep a swell
That the old camp-oven’s measure won’t be melody to me.
’Neath its bubble, bubble, bubble,
There’s the lilt of jigs and reels;
All the common kind of trouble
That the horney-handed feels
Is wiped out in half a minute
By the restfulness it brings,
And the peaceful rapture in it
When the old camp-oven sings.

I Will Not Take That Much Anymore
I have aged a lot after such a short time and I look
Like an old man, a useless man, a man who can do nothing and give you nothing.
When I speak to you I forget and would have a hard time recalling that it was you and that I was speaking to you, I am like an old useless part of your household
I will not take that much about myself anymore
I cannot speak that much that which you have expected from me
I cannot take that much load anymore and I am surrendering myself to you
Begging for laxity
Begging to understanding
I cannot take that much anymore, I will take less time
I am an old useless man and you can now convert me into
A biscuit.

Pointless To Make Attempts WITH Common Sense
Is a power taken,
The same as a power given?
And how much power,
Does a power that has been taken have...
If those that did not give it,
Deem it as useless?
And if those who deem a power taken,
As being useless...
How powerful can that power remain?
And over what or whom,
Does one with useless power...
Have it kept in their minds believed?
It is pointless to make attempts,
WITH common sense...
To anyone who has money,
That money hoarded has no power at all.
It is only when it is distributed,
That the power of it is most effective.
One's greed,
Eventually defeats a blinded perception.

Political Recall Nov 9th,2012
Canadian politicians like all politicians dread recall,
Whether it's federal, provincial or even city hall,
But how do we get rid of a dreadful useless politician?
And he's absolutely useless other than his/her ambition.
So a system of recall should be inaugurated now,
Though our politicians will try to stop it somehow,
Why does British Columbia have recall and we don't?
And why do they have set-date elections and our system wont?
And if that province can succeed here; why can't we?
There must be a system and somewhere someone must have the key,
Why does nobody mention it; as we get frequently swamped?
As we tolerate more useless politicians and no one will prompt.

Take Me Now,
Uh...
Uh...
Uh...
What you waiting for?
I know you're watching me
Hey boy, come on and take me now
What you waiting for?
I know you're watching me
Hey boy, come on and take me now
Can I talk to you for a minute
You've been looking all night for your shining star
Well baby here I am, so why you waiting?
Step on over, let me show you how bad you are
Just let me take the lead
All you gotta do is let your mind be free
Lets hit the floor and cause a scene
Get real wet if you know what I mean
What you say baby?
(And she said)
Take me now
I'm hungry for your loving
(And she said)
Show me how
You got me working, honey
(And she said)
Right now
I'm hot just like an oven
(And she said)
So take me now
Boy you make me feel like I gotta dance
I gotta dance, gotta dance baby, I gotta dance...
I feel good to you, you try to hide it
And I can tell by the way you push up close to me
Your body temperature, is arising
Something's going down as far as I can see
Just let me take the lead
All you gotta do is let your mind be free
Lets hit the floor and cause a scene
Get real wet if you know what I mean
What you say baby?
(And she said)
Take me now
I'm hungry for your loving
(And she said)
Show me how
You got me working, honey
(And she said)
Right now
I'm hot just like an oven
(And she said)
So take me now
Boy make me feel like I gotta dance
You know
Don't I
Say don't I make you feel like you gotta dance
Once I get to know ya
(No)
I'm gonna show ya
(No)
That there's no better way
(Yea)
Lets dance the night away
(Yea)
I wanna control ya
(No)
Just wanna hold ya
(No)
Dance the night away
So what you say baby, what you say
(What you saying to me)
(And she said)
Take me now
(Oh)
I'm hungry for your loving
(Hungry for you)
(And she said)
Show me how
(Oh)
You got me working, honey
(Got me working)
(And she said)
Right now
(Oh)
I'm hot just like an oven
(Hot just like an oven)
(And she said)
So take me now
Boy you make me feel like I gotta dance
(And she said)
Take me now
(Oh)
I'm hungry for your loving
(Hungry for you)
(And she said)
Show me how
(Oh)
You got me working, honey
(Got me working)
(And she said)
Right now
(Oh)
I'm hot just like an oven
(And she said)
So take me now
Boy you make me feel like I gotta dance
Like you gotta dance, like you gotta dance, like you gotta dance, no...
Like you gotta dance, like you gotta dance, like you gotta dance, no...
Here we go now
Oh, oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
I'm like a hurricane
Just coasting along
You better grab me girl
I hope you take me now
I'm like a hurricane
Just coasting along
You better grab me girl
I hope you take me now
I'm like a hurricane
Just coasting along
You better grab me girl
I hope you take me now
I'm like a hurricane
Just coasting along
You better grab me girl
Ttttttake me now
Take me now
I'm hungry for you loving
Show me how
You got me working, honey
Right now
I'm hot just like an oven
So take me now
Take me now
Take me now
Take me now

The useless poem
He knows that his poetry
Is a useless endeavor
As you put it,
There is no money for a poet,
Not even fame when he is alive
Or even dead, perhaps for some,
Whose lines are judged for greatness
His poetry is nothing but a way of laundering
His emotions,
Not even read
Nobody really cared
How many nights did he spend to make a poem?
His heart bleeds
For more pain, his stomach acidifies for more
Harmful corrosive liquids rising to his brain
Through all his intestines and veins
And he goes groggy
Nauseous,
Till dawn breaks he makes his lines
Like a fool
He wants to stop and put an end to everything
He is suffering
He knows the end
Cannot refer to this poem
But to his life
He ends it
His poetry may live on some pages
But (again) not even read because nobody
Nobody really cared
Perhaps someday when another useless poet
Comes accidentally along
Surfing
Or
Writes the same useless
Lines like the way he wrote his
By a slim chance
He shall then
Be read for once
Through this poem
Again
And again
Because in fact
There are many of them
More than you will expect
Rereading the useless poems
Still bleeding asking for care and even forgiveness
(The vice of asking for attention
The uselessness of recognition)
Another one reads it this time
It is, I will not mind, You
