When I First Lost My Impatience
I felt dirty and betrayed,
When I first lost my impatience.
I felt...
Used and so unclean.
I knew I had been stripped,
Of an innocence I would never have again.
To be vicious, cruel and mean...
Was all I saw and knew,
As a child growing up...
To be exposed to seeing these scenes.
People were being cussed out and talked about,
For not sharing their potato chips! Seriously.
I didn't know exactly why,
My impatience had been taken away...
In the manner it was done.
But I grew to understand there was a purpose.
And even if I shared all my chips...
I can always buy another bag. I learned!
Today I have discovered,
I have more patience than I have ever had.
And some who have come to test me...
Are surprised I am not so quick,
To give them a taste of impatience.
I have found a life I am determined to live.
One with a peace of mind...
And freed from 'identified' evil people.
Patience taught me how to observe first,
With my mouth closed and ears open to listen.

Extended Family Members~ One
Dysfunctional conditions of family fractions diminish the whole.
Smaller mindsets diminish by cutting off limbs from God’s goal.
Judgmental and sectarian ways of mindsets from pride’s evil.
Medical injustice of legal drugs brought a mind altering level.
Satan put his finger on works of the flesh from my circular area.
One by one the family’s rootlet wheel pointed as if I had Malaria.
I recall the lyrics: if the whole world forsakes me I’ll take Christ.
Never once counting, nor ever could I imagine such a sacrifice.
God’s Word says He takes the solitude and puts them in a family.
As of now my extended family consist of one, and a sweet reality.
Why is it so easy to cut off a limb, one precious soul from kin~?

Sonnet: In Despair Too, Hope Prevails
When things beyond my control do occur,
And fortune favors just the evil minds:
When my own people with me don’t concur,
My remnant patience to a halt well grinds.
The world is inimical to my deeds,
And evil seems to win Tho’ just for now;
When God has forgotten my long-felt needs,
My ignominy, I must undergo.
Though Hope may be replaced by Despair, still
The turning point of life for me is near;

Impatience
How long do I have to wait?
Before I can tell you the things I've been wanting to say
How long must I hesitate?
I know it makes sense but it's hard for me to stay away
But if this is how it has to be
Maybe it's just a feeling
That I could name
But I'd probably best blame...impatience
You can't miss - what you've never known
It's quite absurd how you started disturbing me so
Sometimes - when I am all alone
I lose my senses
I have no defences to go
But if this is how I lose my heart
Then I shall just embrace that
My pulse is racing still
I'm secretly thrilled
By the laughter that tumbled
And the tears that I spilled
As far as I know no one ever got killed
By impatience
Tell me - is there danger still?
I took no heed so a word might as well be deed
Although - I'd really like to see you now
I'm almost certain it can't be accomplished with speed
