If I dealt in candles, the sun wouldn't set; if I dealt in shrouds, people would stop dying.

I keep living life as it's dealt to me. Sometimes, it's not dealt 100 percent. Sometimes it's dealt on the low '30s.

Zimbabwe - An Echo
The day before yesterday
they dealt with the terminally ill to free the hospitals.
Yesterday,
they dealt with those who did not contribute to the economy.
Today,
they dealt with those who oppose the government.
Tomorrow,
they will deal with those who have heard of a better life.
Next week,
do not be surprised at the truck
with bloodstains on its tailboard
at your gate tooting its impatient horn.

The Scots [A Dirge]
Black Scots and red Scots,
Red Scots and black;
I hae dealt wi’ the red Scot,
An’ dealt wi’ the black.
The Red Scot is angry
Among the sons o’ men—
He’ll pay you a bawbee,
An’ steal it back again.
Black Scots and red Scots,
Red Scots and black;
I hae dealt wi’ the red Scot,
An’ dealt wi’ the black.
The Black Scot is frien’ly—
A brither an’ a’—
He’ll pay you a bawbee,
An’ steal back twa.
The Ginger Scot o’ a’ Scots,
The warst shade o’ Scot,
For he’ll pay ye naething,
An’ tak’ a’ you’ve got.
Black Scots and red Scots,
Short Scots an’ lang,
Ginger Scots an’ bald Scots—
I dealt wi’ the gang.

Lucky Me
I’ve always felt the hand I was dealt was more than fair,
Especially as I sit here and stare
At my homeland, the richest country on earth.
Then I remember parents who appreciated my worth.
They encouraged me to strive for ever new heights
While always discriminating the wrongs from the rights.
Ah yes, no doubt I was dealt a royal flush hand;
A hole-in-one, grand slam I couldn’t have planned.
At the heart of it all is monumental love’s feeling
That convinces me that life truly has no ceiling.
Happiness is for the taking; it’s right over there.
Lucky me…my dealt hand is so much more than fair!

Matters of The Heart
In
matters
of
the
heart
emotions
must
be
dealt
with.
It's
y ou and
I
no one
else
is
permitted.
If true
love
emerges
from
this.
respect
and
trust
must
come
into
play.
If not
this
relationship
will
cease
to be.
longings
and
desires
must
surface.
all
yesterdays
must be

Intro
old (world if i grow old)
I be shocked myself (i be shocked myself)
Cuz only lord knows (cuz only lord knows)
All the pain i was dealt (all the pain i was dealt)
I should kill myself (i should just kill myself)
And get it all over with (and get it all over with)
But then i stop and think (but then i stop and think)
That's the life that i live (that's the life that i live)
World if i grow old (world if i grow old)
I be shocked myself (i be shocked myself)
Cuz only lord knows (cuz only lord knows)
All the pain i was dealt (all the pain i was dealt)
I should kill myself (i should just kill myself)
And get it all over with (and get it all over with)
But then i stop and pray (but then i stop and pray)
Lord watch over me (lord watch over me)

How About You
If someone showed you the way
Would you take the wheel and steer?
It hurts me that your not ashamed
Of what you're doing here
If they jumped off a bridge
Would you meet them on the ground?
Or would you try and claim
It never made a sound?
Everyone plays the hand they're dealt
And learns to walk through life themselves
Not everything in life is handed on a plate
When people think your words are true
It doesn't matter what you do
I sold my soul to get here
How 'bout you?
so you choose to force your hand
What a strange way to make friends
And you always change the rules
so the drama never ends
And you blindly go through life
Judging only but it's worth
Just try not to forget
That the meek inherit earth
Everyone plays the hand they're dealt
And learns to walk through life themselves
Not everything in life is handed on a plate
When people think your words are true
It does'nt matter what you do
I sold my soul to get here
How 'bout you?
So please don't take offence
This is just a point of view
'Cause I'm the only one who
Will say these things to you
Everyone plays the hand they're dealt
And learns to walk through life themselves
Not everything in life is handed on a plate
When people think your words are true
It doesn't matter what you do
I sold my soul to get here
How 'bout you?

Like Her Mum
She's just like her mum
Her dad did say,
As we sat and spoke for a bit.
So sad are the things
That she has done to you,
In my heart there is another candle unlit.
My poor little lassie
She has done it again
That son, is why that I am crying,
As what she has done to you
Was also done to me before,
And I too, felt like dying.
Her Mum whom I loved
With all of my heart
Did to me the very same things.
She went behind my back
More than once in our life
Then forgot about me and our rings.
All these excuses that she gave
And all the times that she lied
Finally came, and caught up with her.
Now she walks in her shame
From day unto day,
Never knowing what has, occurred.
But my poor young lassie
I pity her so
And the life that she is trying to live,
She will blame all of her faults
On her Mum and maybe even me
And now probably you, I do believe.
Inside of my own heart
As to me, her dad did speak
There are many candles that are unlit,
From the sadness that she caused
And the pain that she had dealt
My heart has became an empty pit.
And sadly I know one day
And it will be because of my Lassie
The candles will be gone, and I will had cried,
And this you will know my son
When my light and sunshine are gone
Of course so will I, as I will had died.
She is just like her Mum
Again her dad did say
As we had just finished our talk,
I can see it in her eyes
And I hear it when she speaks
I can even see it in her walk.
I feel so very sorry for you
What you have seen and what you have felt
Of all the wickedness my Lassie has done,
But sadly you are not the first
And you will not be the last,
As She is, just like Her Mum.

Medicate
I've been lying awake at night
I've been hoping that I'm alright
I've been winding myself too tight
Wondering if I will sleep tonight
Never thought things would get like this
Always hoping that they'd work out
Now I seem to be filled with doubt
I cannot stop this ride
I'm growing cold inside
I shouldn't let it slide
Will sickness be mind
This should not be my weight to bear
Go on acting like I don't care
Stop this high-I wouldn't dare
I have earned and deserve my share
Things like this happen every day
While I'm in there I feel okay
But you say I should get away
Let me got for just one more day
[Chorus x2]
I've got to medicate myself,
I'm not concerned about my health
It covers up what I've been dealt, it seems the only way
I've got to medicate myself, its been the only thing that helped
Must cover up what I have felt, it seems the only way
[Chorus x2]
Sickness is mine, sickness is mine, sickness is mine

The obvious types of American fascists are dealt with on the air and in the press. These demagogues and stooges are fronts for others. Dangerous as these people may be, they are not so significant as thousands of other people who have never been mentioned.

The Hand That’s Dealt
A game of chance and double bluff
Deception relies upon the blink of an eye
The will to stand firm and do not fight
The hand that’s dealt decider of life
Do not blink or suspect the lie
For the experienced hand knows well
That a truth can become rewritten
To be believed with utter conviction
Judge not the night to come
Nor the morning after
Stay firm and resolute in all you see
Lest you miss a turn of the cards
The slide of hand, a change in play
A silence shall speak to answer suspicion
Upon the final call, a wait is over
And the hands that’s dealt
It shall deliver

Honor And Courage
In Japan, they write on rice paper,
In America, we write on the sides of buildings.
In Japan they honor their elders,
In America, we rob them on buses,
And abuse them.
In Japan there is great love for their country.
In America, people are refusing to stand,
For the national anthem.
In Japan, men are volunteering to die,
Without a second thought,
To give up their lives,
To save their fellow citizens.
Oh yes, you'll say, the Japanese are great,
At dying, at suicide missions.
But is that the point?
Shouldn't the point be,
The Japanese love their homeland,
The Japanese love their own people,
The Japanese love their way of life,
The Japanese love their traditions,
Love, honor, respect, courage,
Nobody writes on Japanese walls.
Offenders are quickly and severely dealt with.
Wouldn't you volunteer also?
Maybe not.
Honor, and courage,
Seem to be,
In short supply,
Stateside.

I had an instinctive feeling that the people who have little or no school training should have something coming into their homes weekly which dealt with their problems in a simple, helpful way... so I wrote in a plain, common-sense way on the things that concerned our people.

Choosing Him(X)
You dealt the cards
Today
I began to cry
Inside
The only thing that
Run wild through
My mind
Is where did I go
Wrong
Why is he so much
Better
Then me
I did nothing to you
But
Give you my everything
You would tell me
To just stop
Fighting for you
Well baby all I can say is
I can’t
And
I wont
Not over my dead body
Will I or should I
Stop
Fighting for the people
I truly love
Yes I do
Strongly
Passionately
Love you
To the greatest level
Someone could ever
Love another person
You asked me
What a heart break is
To me
Well sweetheart you are
You are my heart break
Baby please
You have to understand
That I’m in love
With you
And always will be
So when you tell me
I love him
Think about how much
I die
Inside

The Innocence of Gold
I flicked of the TV
At a news report
About another child
Lost in innocence no more
I was once
An innocent child
Living so happy
Till I was dealt
One of life's blows
And just like the children
I learn of today
Losing their innocence
That's torn from their souls
It drowns us all
In the degradation of life
I want to scream
I want to shout
Make all this carnage stop
Why do you ask?
Would I even bother to say?
I just want you to know
What its like for a child
To lose in themselves
The innocence of gold
You cry with a passion
Inside your lost soul
You know not what to say
You know not what to do
You feel so alone
You feel so used
You hide all your secrets
And you cry every day
And pray ever night
Oh God take my life
You drown in your sorrows
Every single day
And wonder each time
What have I done in my life?
To deserve such cruelty
That's dealt this cruel life
But life goes on
You learn to be brave
You learn to ignore
Your family and friends
You learn to ignore
An out stretched hand
I know I am lucky
To be here today
So I advocate for children
Still trapped in this fate
