Lucky Me
I’ve always felt the hand I was dealt was more than fair,
Especially as I sit here and stare
At my homeland, the richest country on earth.
Then I remember parents who appreciated my worth.
They encouraged me to strive for ever new heights
While always discriminating the wrongs from the rights.
Ah yes, no doubt I was dealt a royal flush hand;
A hole-in-one, grand slam I couldn’t have planned.
At the heart of it all is monumental love’s feeling
That convinces me that life truly has no ceiling.

The Magic of the Breeze – 32 I used to travel by train
I used to travel by train
Previously too – The travel
At night, the distant lights
The stars in sky, hopeful dreams
The sound of thundering wheels
Singing a song to the rhythm
Of the beat of the heart of steel
The rush of the wind
Standing by the door
I used to think what means all this
The fury and sound, the very travel
The people I used to meet or travel with
No one has been able to erase the sadness
Or ease the pain I feel when traveling
I used to feel all alone by the door
And life speeding by towards the end.
I have enjoyed my travel too
In groups with friends now far apart
I remember days gone by never to come
But, however long the distance
I used to stand at least half the time.
With you I now sit and enjoy
It is no longer a pain
Before travel was business
Travel was necessary and unavoidable
It was an escape sometimes
Just the act of traveling – running away
But, I always had to come back
And face life alone, just alone.
Now, you have shown me
The other side of travel by train
The train is still the train
The people, crowd all are the same
But yet not the very same,
You and I, no one else I see
Time, with it all people, the crowd
Are frozen in time and none exists
Other than just the two of us
I myself am in a dream till the end
Drinking the air and feeling

Life is Loss
I have given this one most thought.
To learn this lesson you may not want.
But everybody knows and everybody felt
Some have seen more with the hand they've been dealt.
But I’m going to remind you because it seems.
That change is the worst enemy that deems
The fear that you have for the future
Is the loss that you will lose there?
But life is loss but not all loss comes
In the form of death or separation from
Two loves who no longer give
Each other their own life to live.
Because sometimes people have to walk away
From the hurt that they feel each day.
Sometimes people have to let go of the feelings
And move on with the day to day dealings.

Inspiration
the inspiration that i feel today
will never ever go away.
i saw a nine year old boy who taught
himself to play the guitar.
the best guitarist i've seen by far.
i seen a female cancer survivor
take the stage, and left the audience
in total rage and wondering how she
was able to hide that opera voice.
and she said 'she had no choice.'
the opportunity did not arise til now.
and that her daughter and husband
do feel proud.
i seen a seventy five year old woman
who wanted to follow her dream
of being a comedienne.
and had the audience rolling
till the very end.
so many different things
in our lives that we see
that it's got to affect you and me.
we see life saving examples every day
whether at work or at play.
when life seems to have turned its back
and you feel under attack.
when you think there's no place to go
and the answers come very slow.
that is when he lifts his hand
and erases all the cares and troubles
that are bothering you.
that is what he will do.
he is there every step of the way
and in my heart he will stay.
how much inspiration do we need?
or is it that we need more greed.
he has shown us people who
have survived a crash
pulled open the door latch
and walked away without a scratch.
in us he had planted that inspiational seed.
how much more do we need.
look around and be inspired
it is just GODS desire.
