Fortune often knocks at the door, but the fool does not invite her in.

Opportunity
Opportunity, it is said,
knocks but once.
Opportunity, sometimes
knocks a few times.
The gospel truth is,
Opportunity's frequency is erratic.
Opportunity is a windfall,
in true truth a one-off affair.
This explicitly explains why
To the wise the plausible option,
is to grab the first opportunity.
Striking when iron is hot
Sparing oneself the guilt
Of not grasping an opportunity,
When it itself, presents.
Opportunity to the fool,
knocks when requested.
It is there to be clasped,
when really required.
No doubt missed opportunity,
is the facet of a fool.
Be wise, act rationally
Be guided by the reasoning
The time- tested saying
‘opportunity, knocks but once'.

When fortune knocks upon the door open it widely.
One Knock Two Knocks
One knock, Two knocks
Who's at the door?
Come out once more
One knock, Two knocks
Who's at the door?
Come out and see for sure
A world melts, as one developes
A world ends, as one begins
One Knock, Two knock
Who's at the door?
Open it once more
One Knock, Two knock
Who's at the door?
Come closer and it just might poor
Devastation has come to me.
I hear it like the knocking
The ground is rocking
Given the eyes of a blind man I once again can see
With wings I rise and soar.
Thoughts with clarity I explore
Got to get a better view, maybe from an enormous mountain up so high
Focus on the crystal ball, reading a fortune from the sky
Oh such, such pretty pretty ball
Just let it fall, down to a place full depravity, and derogation
With one Revelation after another they come
knocking knocking on my door
Will I answer, oh will I answer
Only if I must
And its forever open with one fell gust

Jaques: A fool, a fool, I met a fool i' th' forest,
A motley fool. A miserable world!
As I do live by food, I met a fool,
Who laid him down and basked him in the sun
And railed on Lady Fortune in good terms,
In good set terms, and yet a motley fool.
"Good morrow, fool," quoth I. "No, sir," quoth he,
"Call me not 'fool' till heaven hath sent me fortune."
line from As You Like It, Act II, Scene 7 by William Shakespeare (1599)

The night has left the stranger in the heart
who knocks and knocks but never lets in
I don't know if the dawn will find his home
the beam to write a message upon his door
'please come in or come no more'

O, once in each man's life, at least, Good luck knocks at his door; And wit to seize the flitting guest Need never hunger more. But while the loitering idler waits Good luck beside his fire, The bold heart storms at fortune's gates, And conquers its desire.

The Return
Who knocks at the door so late, so late—
Who knocks so late at the door?
Is it one who comes as a stranger comes,
Or one who has knocked before?
Is it one who stays with intent to bless,
Or one who stands to implore?
My days have been as the years, she said,
And my heart, my heart is sore;
Love looked in my face for a moment's space
One happy spring of yore—
Looked in my face with a wistful grace:
And left me to grieve evermore!
Through all the days the door stood wide,
For hope had breathed a vow
That love should ne'er be kept outside.
The years were long and hope hath died;
The door at last is barred and fast—
Why comes this knocking now?
Yet woe the waiting heart, she said,
And the heart it waiteth for!
And woe the truth and wasted youth
That nothing shall restore!
The faith that's fled, the hope that's dead,
The dreams that come no more.
Who knocks at the gate—so late, so late?
Thou foolish heart, be still!
What is 't to thee if love or hate
Knocks in the midnight chill?
Art thou, poor heart, compassionate?
Is love so hard to kill?
Ah me! the night is cold, she said;
Would I might all forget;
But memory lives when hope is dead,
And pity heals regret;
As light still lingers overhead
When sun and moon are set.

Fool Them All
Taking knocks and bruises,
And refusing to be duped...
Into a pause.
Some are awed by a loss.
Up and down and pounded on the ground,
With little sound around...
Or a frown to be found!
Be your boss with tightened jaws.
You are a combination motivating inspiration.
You are without a doubt a throttle started that excites.
To eliminate debate about who's in competition.
There's no reason to admit a quitting with quivering lips.
Fool them all.
Taking knocks and bruises,
And refusing to be duped...
Into a pause.
Some are awed by a loss.
You are a combination motivating inspiration.
You are without a doubt a throttle started that excites.
There's no reason to admit a quitting,
With quivering lips.
Fool them all.
Fool them all.
Up and down and pounded on the ground,
With little sound around...
Or a frown to be found!
Be your own boss,
With tightened jaws.
And fool them all!
You are a combination motivating inspiration.
Fool them all.
Fool them all.
You are without a doubt a throttle started that excites.
Fool them all.
Fool them all.
Taking knocks and bruises,
And refusing to be duped...
Into a pause.
Some are awed by a loss.
But you are your own boss...
So fool them all!

I Was A Fool To Care
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
But I dont care even if I was a fool
Im still in love with you
Had I listened to the grapevine
I might have had my doubts
But I did my level best just to block them out
cause love is so unwise and love has no eyes
And it took a while for a fool to see
What his friends were on about
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
But I dont care even if I was a fool
Im still in love with you
Imagining your face
It almost fills the empty space before me
I can see you eyes and almost hear your lovely lies
I wish I was an old man
And love was through with me
I wish I was a baby on my mamas knee
I wish I was a freight train moving down the line
Just keeping track of time
Without all these memories
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
I was a fool to care
But I dont care even if I was a fool
Im still in love with you
Baby, yes, I am
I could have opened my eyes
I could have seen through your lies
I could have stood for no more
I could have walked out the door
But I was a fool to care, I was a fool to care
But I was a fool to care, I was a fool to care
You werent nothing but a fool to care; just a country fool to care.

Calculations
The competency of calculations exceeds my expectations,
Like living in the wilderness, we calculate somehow;
The reasoning of jests pierces us in the jet of life,
Then life gave mathematical problems, of the hour.
This moon in the sky, when the sky collapses,
Knocks on the door, knocks again and repeatedly;
The sums and products of the deeds in life
Master us in ourselves, even my attention is praised.

A Fool No More
Written by peter green.
Yes, Ive packed up my clothes
Im moving away from your door
Lord, Ive packed up my clothes
Said, Im moving away from your door
Ive been your fool for so long
Babe, I wont play that fool no more
I gave you all my money
I work as hard as I can
I came home early one morning
I found you with another man
Babe, Ive packed up my clothes
Im moving away from your door
Said, Ive been your fool for so long
And lord, I wont play that fool no more
Solo
So good-bye baby
You dont even care
Yes, I had a love so strong for you
But you treat me so unfair
Said, Ive packed up my clothes
Im moving away from your door
You know, Ive been your fool for so long
And babe, I wont play that fool no more

Those Dance Moves
When I see you pull
those dance moves
it knocks me out
When the music
is screamin'
it knocks me out
You know I gotta smile
It makes me so happy
It makes me so happy
it knocks me out
I can't see anyone else
when those
dance moves
knocks me out

Do You?
Do you hear the rain drops on your window?
Do you feel the wind touching your body?
Do you feel the sun smiling to your face?
Do you hear the birds singing?
Do you?
This is life going through your veins,
This is reason to be happy and fulfill.
Do you feel my love knocking by your door?
Do you want to open it?
Sometimes love knocks only one time and goes away,
But love always knocks,
And if you hear knocking,
And you opent it
There is something waiting out there,
Something that will make your heart get crazy,
Something that will turn your world upside down,
But it will be a crazy happiness,
Because at your door it will be
The meaning of your life,
Woman of your dreams,
Key of your answers,
Me.
