Everything tastes bitter to him with gall in his mouth.

John Lee Supertaster
Flans: When I was 39 years old, I heard a story. I found out that there [are] people walking among us who have superpowers. These people are called Supertasters. To a Supertaster, bitter fruits taste far more bitter, and sweets far more sweet. Then, just a few months ago, I had the chance to meet a real, live Supertaster named John Lee.
And this is his true story:
Nothing tastes the same (nothing tastes the same)
To a Supertaster (Supertaster)
When he tastes a pear (tastes a pear)
It's like a hundred pears (it's like a million pears)
He's got superpowers (superpowers)
He is a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Every flavor explodes (explodes and explodes)
Explodes and explodes
John Lee Supertaster
Tastes more than we do
Everything has a flavor
Some flavors are too much
Can't shut his mouth (can't shut his mouth)
'Cause he's a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Though he looks like a man (talks like a man)
He is a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Can't drink coffee or beer (coffee or beer)
'Cause he's a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Loves ice cream and pie (ice cream and pie)
He is a Supertaster
John Lee Supertaster
Tastes more than we know
Everything has a flavor
Some flavors must go

Ode To Pie
Ode to pie
It tastes good
Chocolate is the best
It is sugary.
Ode to the taste
It swirls in my mouth
It is good in my stomach.
It is sweet.
Ode to my mouth
It lets me eat pie
It chews it for me
I am grateful.
Ode to pie
It tastes good
Chocolate is the best
It is sugary.

A Bitter Word
I taste bitterness in my mouth
each time I hear the word war.
It's a taste that's born of compassion
from a word that's been heard before.
Too young they die
not knowing why.
Too young they leave
and as we grieve
I hear that word again.
I spit from the bitter taste of it
and it still won't go away.
It's the same old word that drives me mad
and reminds me every day
that man is pliable in the hands
of ones whose insatiable need
never tastes bitterness in their mouth
from the word or from the deed.

Swallowing Something Bitter
involuntarily he swallows something bitter
not perfectly round
definitely bitter
but for now he shall not spit it out
he needs time
perhaps it will be years
he cannot even open his mouth to speak
they call him mute and dumb and deaf
but inside his ears are sharp
his understanding like the seed so bitter
his hope is only that day when by having learned
all the bitterness
he shall spit fire
and magma comes out from his mouth
and rocks
and everything thermoplastic
like he is bomb that shakes all their worlds
into tiny splinters

A little gall make a great deal of honey bitter.
Cactus is bitter only to him who tastes of it.
It is difficult to spit honey out of a mouth full of gall.
The flour tastes bitter to the mouse who has had enough.
When the mouse is full, the flour tastes bitter.
A mother-in-law made of sugar, still tastes bitter.
The ripe pear
Quartering this ripe pear
- a knife-and-fork job; it gave little away
except a slight softness around the stalk,
yet seems to contain more juice than
any work of man could hold -
quartering this ripe pear,
I'm caught up in wonder:
this is almost too good for human beings -
it should have a religion built around its praise;
as if it wishes to tell us something
that we might have overlooked
about such mouth-worn phrases as
Nature's bounty and God's grace..
or as if, two thousand years ago,
it had leaned, heavy on its branch,
from the wall of Plato's leafy Academy,
saw him writing of ideals,
and smiled;
and now I've written that,
I can eat this pear,
tasting it and what I've written;
this pear, I swear,
now tastes even better;
as if I had submitted
on some altar, to be consumed by praise;
praise that tastes of pear; pear that tastes of praise.

Simply Couplets-1(uneven couplet)
The doors of the mouth ever unshut on a pretext
Craving mouth craves blaming the teeth in set
The tainted teeth of gourmet-colours
Act to curse the tongue of tastes
Doused in tastes the luscious tongue
Chides the cooking hands fakely in slang
Berate the hands falsely the walking feet
For often they 're on a shopping fleet
'The order'mutter the shopping legs
'By the stomach and its hungry yowls'
It's the mind of my master
Grumbles the stomach with its hunger
O'mind what do you say
Towing your master your way
Gluttonous self clutches an impaired castle dangerous
O'master cherish a life then gorgeous?

He who tastes every man's broth, often burns his mouth.
Lonliness (Tastes)
lonliness...
tastes like,
blood crusted on the lips,
the hint of brandy that lingers.
the first smoke
when you walk free from jail.
the crust of the pie,
the tongue of first love.
the soft place
on the back of your neck.
smoke and soot and greyness
as you walk the city streets.
the meat cooked long and slow,
falling apart in your mouth.
the trace of garlic,
the bitter shock of gunpowder.
gravel dust, spring water, ...
the last kiss,
a black and white photograph.

Luxury is an enticing pleasure, a bastard mirth, which hath honey in her mouth, gall in her heart, and a sting in her tail.
