Eagle Spirit

eagles soar
on high thermals
fly through
such wonderous
freeborn skies

a multiversality
kaleidoscopic
sensual

spiritual
ever changing
seasons

nest on highest
most noble
sun eclipsed
inaccessible crags
or vibrant

living temples
trees raising
towards heaven
growing upwards
into host life

giving light

range soar
across desolate
canyons
holy places
where Native

Americans
built pueblo
adobe houses

care houses
upon spiritual
sun paths...

piercingly
beautiful
sky images

celebrating
auras
earth heat

thermal
energy fields
keen eyes

pierce heat
waves

Links

The little and the great are joined in one
By God's great force. The wondrous golden sun
Is linked unto the glow-worm's tiny spark;
The eagle soars to heaven in his flight;
And in those realms of space, all bathed in light,
Soar none except the eagle and the lark.

A Flight

Thy abode is in the mountains,
O, eagle of high altitude,
I love thee for thy courage and zeal,
Thou soar in the sky
And watch them scornfully,
Who fly on lower pitch,
They lack confidence and courage,
But thou fly and fly to attain summit,
Make our youth familiar with thy spirit,
So that they may also soar in the sky of success,
And meet their goal.

Eagle Watch

The morning came, the eagle stirred, one leap to fly again.
The tourists smiled to watch this bird, the envy of all men.
For who has not at one time slept and sometime in the night,
Believed that if they also leapt, they, too, could rise in flight?
Within one dream, atop a hill, I ran and ran and ran...
And all at once I felt the thrill when my first flight began!
I left the hill, I left the Earth, to glide upon the sky...
It was as if my soul gave birth to something that could fly!
No holding back, I had to hurl myself upon the wave!
Like Superman and Supergirl, I flew as if by faith!
I knew just how the eagle felt, designed for higher things...
A better hand I had been dealt, transforming hands to wings!
Each time I see an eagle soar to heights beyond my eyes,
I realise what dreams are for, to simply mesmerise.
Today, each pilot flies above, content to do his best...
Just like the eagle that I love... God help them to be blessed...

The poem is based on the magnificent painting
by Stephen Gayford called 'Eagle Watch'.

When The Eagle Cries

Another day, just like any other
out of the blue, it turned to horror
How could they? Why would they?
The innocents suffered hell's inferno
An senseless act that goes unforgotten
How could they? They will pay.
(Chorus)
When the Eagle Cries (5x)
Out of the ashes came a tempted vengeance,
but we are focused, we seek redemption
we are free, we'll stay free
All they've done, is make us stronger
The sleeping giant, is asleep no longer
If need be, we'll die free
(Chorus)
When the Eagle Cries (blood will flow)
When the Eagle Cries (for freedom's fight)
When the Eagle Cries (we love us all)
When the Eagle Cries (we'll sacrifice)
When the Eagle Cries
When the Eagle Cries (blood will flow)
When the Eagle Cries they made us stronger (for freedoms fight)
When the Eagle Cries we'll sacrifice (we love us all)
When the Eagle Cries for freedom's fight (we'll sacrifice)
When the Eagle Cries

Point Of Departure

As we walked along
side by side
together
yet infinitely apart.

I asked
constantly internally
self same
perplexing question.

How can one
soar like an eagle
when one
walks with a turkey?

I wanted to scream
come fly with me
share my love
blend in thought.

Climb serenity
tree encompassing knowledge
among high sweeping branches
cast forth upon solar winds.

Soar through universe
share unknown splendor
merge minds
eternally entwined.

Even leaves beg me'' says Eagle

eagle, niggard and black
perched on sycomore on Nile bank
tasty fish gambolled in water
at lightening speed eagle caught
tasty fish and scrambled out

eagle flew and perched on a tree
man was under a tree
and glanced at what sat on tree
eagle and man eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying
''man may conjure him
by evil eyes''

eagle flew and perched on second tree
some birds were on that tree
Eagle and others birds eyes met at ninety angle
eagle flew away saying he
'' choke as birds watch him eating''

Eagle flew and perched on third tree
the breeze shook leaves of tree
eagle saw leaves unfolded shaking
like a begging hand
eagle flew away saying
'' everything beg me , even leaves
beg me too''

Eagle flew and perched on fourth withered tree
no birds, men and leaves around there
only exrtreme silence around there
eagle ate tasty fish
sang in loudest resounding voice
''eel fish and tasty fish are not the same
I ate tasyty fish until heart palpitated in happiness''

The Eagle wasn't always the Eagle. The Eagle, before he became the Eagle, was Yucatangee, the Talker. Yucatangee talked and talked. It talked so much it heard only itself. Not the river, not the wind, not even the Wolf. The Raven came and said The Wolf is hungry. If you stop talking, you'll hear him. The wind too. And when you hear the wind, you'll fly. So he stopped talking. And became its nature, the Eagle. The Eagle soared, and its flight said all it needed to say.

The Eagle and The Bear

The eagle's strength to compare that
of the bear this is how they fair the bear
can rip apart anything standing there
yet the eagle can fly through the air
the mighty physical strength of the bear must
stay on the ground in a limited area
around yet the eagle's strength of us do share
it's in every heart and on something's we wear
it shows the strength of the eagle for all to share
the eagle and the bear.

Above Life’s Storms

These are down times, said by most, affecting all, coast to coast,
Very hard times economically, touching in many ways you and me,
But, those in God can rise above, all these down times, spoken of,
High above, with God’s power, through the darkest times and hour.

Though tough times get us down, in The Lord our strength is found,
As we receive The Lord’s Favor, we find strength that will not waver,
Like an eagle in grace and form, God helps us rise above the storm,
Peace and hope our Lord brings, to soar with God on eagle’s wings.

In times of uncertainty we can soar, as we wait for God’s open door,
Closing the storm securely behind, filling us with true peace of mind,
And after the storm by God’s Grace, He guides us to a stable place,
Just like the eagle fully assured, positioned by the hand of our Lord.

Though the times be dark as night, we can go forth shining His Light,
To a world that’s lost in the storm, with our witness, gentle and warm,
Leading men from a coldness of life, into the warmth of Jesus Christ,
Who helps all believers to cope, in life’s storms with God given hope.

When times are darkened by men, in The Son you can be Born Again,
With a hope to New Life Eternally, never affected by man’s economy,
But, an economy created with love, by The Savior, who reigns above,
Where storms are all in the past, and all of God’s Ways Eternally last.

Adored Exploration

My midnights are not spent,
In low tides.
Or staring at the stars,
That twinkle bright.
I might,
Decide...
To shake awake imaginations.

I don't stay up to wonder why...
Some people rather sleep,
Away their time!
I might,
Decide...
To shake awake imaginations.

Give me a chance to fly and soar.
Give me a reason to want more...
To fly off shores to me that bore.
In adored...
Exploration!

And dance on mountaintops without stop!
Or 'rock' with a beat I like until I drop.
And not be mocked by folks who try to rob,
My adored...
Exploration!

Give me a chance to fly and soar.
Give me a reason to want more...
To fly off shores to me that bore.
In adored...
Exploration!

My midnights are not spent,
In low tides.
Or staring at the stars,
That twinkle bright.
I might,
Decide...
To shake awake imaginations.

Give me a chance to fly and soar.
Give me a reason to want more...
To fly off shores to me that bore.
In adored...

Give me a chance to fly and soar.

Give me a chance to fly and soar.

To Soar

to soar among the heavens
wind rushing past
giving way to the blackness around
to soar among the heaves
wind rushing past
the uncertainty of tomorrow t
he wisdom of yesterday
to soar among the heavens
wind rushing past
through the galaxies
small spots of color appear
helping peace fill the void
to soar among the heavens
wind rushing past
a smallflutter in my chest begins
the colors all around brighten
to soar among the heavens
wind rushing past
the flutter becomes a beat
then a pulse
sound all around
music
to soar among the heavens
wind rushing past.

Gravitational Defiance

Flying like an eagle
Every day of my life
Not like a chicken
Just to avoid strife

Defying gravity
Refusing to lose
Not by luck or chance
But because I Choose

I am bold and brave
Mounting in the sky
Ever Conquering
Until the day I die

Like an eagle
Fly eagle fly
