I Must Confess

Today I confess to you
one of my biggest fears
That you don’t feel the same as I do.

Today I confess to you
one of my greatest joys
For this feeling gives me great happiness.

Today I confess to you
my grandest accomplishment
To be able to have this feeling.

Today I must confess to you
That seeing you
Makes me feel complete.

Today I must confess to you
That your touch
Heals all my pain.

Today I must confess to you
what I feel is painful
And it makes it more grand.

Today I must confess to you
That no one shares
What my heart feels for you.

Today I must confess to you
My deepest feeling,
I love you!

Return Of The Rat

You better watch out
You better beware
Theyre coming from all sides of the country
You better beware
Return of the rat
No, no, no, no!
You better confess
You had better confess
You start to confess and see them through it
You better confess

When the wind started blowing in the afternoon

When the wind started blowing in the afternoon,
some African red-knobbed coots rose in a screaming row,
while the sun hanged over the water red like fire

and the twilight only lasted moments
while they flew past with slapping wings,
when the wind started blowing in the afternoon,

I felt a light breeze blowing against my cheek,
there was serenity and peace that came to me
while the sun hanged over the water red like fire,

there was a kind of bliss in nature
when dappled Egyptian goose also tried to avoid me,
when the wind started blowing in the afternoon,

I was caught by the sheer beauty,
I heard the call of birds cutting through the reeds,
while the sun hanged over the water red like fire

while the sky was darker and no more azure,
while ducks glide magically through the water,
when the wind started blowing in the afternoon,
the sun hanged over the water red like fire.

Ballade of the hours of night

Our love had bloomed fully
when naked you came to me
with a small towel covering you,
when it fell from your body
and your eyes caught mine glittering,
when silence hanged luring between us.

There was a kind of hunger and thirst in me,
when your lips found mine,
with your hair braiding through my fingers
when the alarm slowly counted the time
and we both were longing for something eternal,
when silence hanged luring between us.

Like falling rain was the smell of us both
on the big old fluffy blanket
with your legs and arms crossed over me,
when my heartbeats sounded in my ears,
and there was a much deeper more intense urge
when silence hanged luring between us.

VALE RONALD RYAN (Febuary 1976)

Ronald Ryan was the last person hanged in Victoria.
Shortly after hanging was abolished in Australia.

The barbarism of the procedure,
worse than any Greek tragedy.
No, this wasn't theatre,
this was murder!

We hanged a man to satisfy
a drunken premier's whim.
Therefore the sin of omission
rests with him;
Not the man who pulled the lever.

It Has Been Done

Will I?
Can I?
Yes,
I adore you.
And that isn't easy,
For someone like me to confess.

Stripped from a wall,
Where my emotions hid.
Kidding myself,
With passions I forbid.
And here you are...
To do to me what you just did!

Will I?
Can I?
Yes,
I adore you.
And that isn't easy,
For someone like me to confess.

You have no idea,
How quickly that has been addressed.
And I am so glad we met,
To pursue together this happiness.

Oh boy...
Will I?
Can I?
Yes,
I adore you.
And that isn't easy,
For someone like me to confess.
Yet...
It has been done!

Exe

there were pictures on the faces
pictures words clear on faces vague
they let them let hang like birds wet
pinned on the wire to dry they hanged them
each edge bridge thought
the water was a suicidal thing
but it was the what they hanged
already dead drip dropp dripping
crossing cursed scar scanned x rayed
through evil hands of time
into a sound beautiful caress
hugged and kissed comforted alive

It Nods and Curtseys and Recovers

It nods and curtseys and recovers
When the wind blows above,
The nettle on the graves of lovers
That hanged themselves for love.

The nettle nods, the wind blows over,
The man, he does not move,
The lover of the grave, the lover
That hanged himself for love.

I Confess

It is true.
I confess.
I have been spoiled.
And My Father,
The Almighty...
Knows this confession best.

When I feel I have a need,
And I please My Father...
With deeds I attempt,
And some not successfully...
My Father decides,
To then surprise.

It is true.
I confess.
I have been spoiled.
And My Father,
The Almighty...
Knows this confession best.

When I pray each day,
And express my gratefulness...
I don't take for granted,
Those blessings from My Father...
I know from Him I get.

When I find I struggle,
And I am wet with sweat...
I am comforted by My Father,
Who then allows...
My peace and rest.

It is true.
I confess.
I have been spoiled.
And My Father,
The Almighty...
Knows this confession best.

Before Him I place no 'thing' I value more.
Before My Father,
I profess a love for him that is adored.
My loyalty and devotion,
Is given without thought.
And My Father and I...
Tackle those obstacles,
He assists me to abort.

It is true.
I confess.
I have been spoiled.
And My Father,
The Almighty...
Knows this confession best.

And nothing do I have do I take for granted.
I know from 'WHOM' my gifts have come.
I know from 'WHOM' has 'allowed' this to be done!

It is true.
I confess.
I have been spoiled.
And My Father,
The Almighty...
Knows this confession best.

Flashs Confession

Ive just had a dream that I never will forget,
And I wish I could erase.
I was standing on the street with a whole crowd of people
And no one knew my name.
And I was just another face
No one looked at me or touched me
Spoke to or acknowledged me.
I had no identity or individuality
No thoughts of my own, no mind or personality.
I was just a no one, a total nonentity
Im just a number waiting to be called.
It is time for confessing it all,
Im just another face,
Yes, its time for confessing it all.
Been a cheat, been a crook,
Never gave I always took.
Crushed people to acquire
Anything that I desired.
Been deceitful and a liar
Now Im facing hell fire.
I cant believe that my time has come
For confessing all the evil
And the wrong that Ive done.
The reckonings come
And now Im just a no one.
I confess to the timid and the meek
To the cripples and the beggars
And the tramps in the street.
I confess my cruelty, my ego and conceit,
Ive opened up my body and looked inside
And Im everything that I once despised.
I confess for the thieves,
The affected and deranged,
I confess for the muggers and incurably insane,
I confess to the ugly for being vain,
I confess to those I hurt for causing them pain.
Im just a number
Waiting to be called
And its time for confessing it all,
And Im just another face,
And it is time for confessing it all,
Yes, its time for confessing it all,
Yes, its time for confessing it all.

Heartsong

Come in
Make yourself at home
Im a bit late
Hate to make you wait
But heart songs
Are still on my mind
Theres never the time
To write down these lines
How can you say
That I dont need you
Just be sure
No more, no less
Let love confess to you
What you must do
Come on
Lets hit the road
Im up to my tricks
I know they seem cold
But heart songs
Are all that I am
I use the same words
To say the same things
How can you say
That I dont need you
Just be sure
No more, no less
Let love confess to you
What you must do
How can you say
That I dont need you
Just be sure
No more, no less
Let love confess to you
No less

Lully, Lulley

Lully, lulley, lully, lulley,
The faucon hath borne my make away.
He bare him up, he bare him down,
He bare him into an orchard brown.
In that orchard there was an halle
That hanged with purpill and pall.
And in that hall there was a bede;
It was hanged with gold so rede.
And in that bed there lithe a knight,
His woundes bleding day and night.

By that bede side kneleth a may,
And she wepeth both night and day.

And by that bede side there stondeth a stone,
Corpus Christi wreten there on.

You Ask Me To Confess

bewildered about what's going on
outside your world
beyond those veils and curtains
you beg that i confess

what you see in me is what you really are,
and this you ask that
i must confess all my sins
so i can be saved

from what? my silence is asking.
as a friend there are matters to be reconsidered

saving my soul is never any other person's business
i even have to find a location for it when it wants to rest

my silence is a rock in the middle of the river's rage.
there is a black bird there that sings under the whiteness of the clouds
drinking every raindrop
that we do not expect to fall in the middle of a bright day

i need not confess
there are so many poems written and scattered everywhere
that i made

they have mouths and in the corners of the lonely nights
they all sing my own madness

both on sadness and joys,
they have said everything that you badly want to hear.

Easier On Your Mind

There are things we need to tell,
something we must share,
a failing we have.
The problem is how do we tell them?
Will they push us aside when they know?
These are the questions
that torment us from time to time.
There are no lies attached
in what we have to confess.
Just our shame in what we do.
It’s not easy to tell someone something
they might feel uneasy about.
You need to confess though
as it is good for the soul
and easier on your mind.

Unrocked By a Sweet and Boldened Glow

If all my needs were multipled,
I'd still find a reason,
To lay in a helpless restlessness.
Yet feeding sleeplessly...
And much awake.

Something has surrounded me!
And from me away from it,
I can not shake.
From this I can not break away.
Captured I am and there's no escape.

Unsatisfied although I am pleased.
With a feeling of a selfishness...
I desire more and more,
And more of it to increase in me.

What is this?

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
Stripped and molested.
And under arrest.

Something has surrounded me!
And from me away from it,
I can not shake.

If all my needs were multiplied,
I'd still find a reason,
To lay in a helpless restlessness.
Yet feeding sleeplessly...
And much awake.

What is this?

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
Stripped and molested.
And under arrest.
Yes...
Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!

Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
Stripped and molested.
And under arrest.

I can't resist it.
Nor can dismiss it.

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
What is this?

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!
But what is this?
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
What is this?

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
What is this?
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.
And I confess it!
What is this?

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.
And I confess it!
Unrocked by a hold I can't control.

Beaming with a gleam...
That fills in my soul.

Unrocked by a sweet and boldened glow.

When Lovers Confess

In this boat out on the sea
I cant see land
Hiding out and biding its time
Yet its all around
Shimmering sun for day
Jealous moon will prey
On the mind of an unfulfilled soul
Life seems a moment away
Challenging and beckoning
Needing this freedom today
On the night when lovers confess
Chilling winds will blow through this heart
And wont let me rest
Matchwood bridges are doin their best
To keep us apart
Love that was meant to be
Love that was sent to me
In the land of troubles and peace
Life seems a moment away
Challenging and beckoning
Loving this freedom today
On the night when lovers confess
[solo]
Life seems a moment away
Challenging and beckoning
Loving this freedom today
On the night when lovers confess
When lovers confess their love

At the fountain in the ranges

Something stirred below the water
of a pool,
where a fountain splashes in.

There was no wind
and the long grass was motionless
and the branches of a sugar bush,
hanged somewhat protecting
over the pool

It was early morning
and the pool was still dark
and in its depths,
there were black spots
that stirred ominously.

When the day got brighter
a sunbird came to drink water
and looked time after time,
at its image on the water.
.
There were water beetles
that played in circles
and tadpoles, .
swimming up and down
and a dragonfly hanged suspended
above the water

Life was trapped for a moment
and out of the depths
a predatory fish appeared
and when the dragonfly touched the water,
it disappeared into the bill of the fish
and into the depths.
