Choosing To Finesse With The Best Of Etiquette
From my perspective,
That is all this is.
An authority of life?
No.
Like many, I too
Found adventure and discovery in my youth.
I was quite inquisitive.
Whether wrong or right
My activities did not cease my appetite.
My insights are based upon,
My own experiences.
And I do believe as a writer,
My opinion qualifies.
Just as someone else's 'is'.
Those who get 'uptight'
Because my point of view,
For them does not delight.
Well...
I confess what others may think,
Does not keep me up at nights.
Should it?
And when someone express to me,
That my point of view they disagree.
What can I say?
Knowing that the life I live is mine.
What can I say?
When I know they too...
Wear different shoes,
Than the ones I choose.
And sometimes they do not shine.
From my perspective,
That is all this is.
An authority of life?
No.
Like many, I too...
Found adventure and discovery in my youth.
I was quite inquisitive.
And inquisitive about life...
I still 'IS' with a quest to be me.
Determined to question.
And choosing to finesse with the best of etiquette?
Depends on the atmosphere and mood of the occasion.
I do not make attempts to impress.
Although I will admit,
Being expressive I do with the best of effort.

Inquisitive
Two tiger cubs were curious,
Inquisitive to boot!
It's true that they looked glorious
And throw in kinda cute!
But woe to those that walked close by
Much smaller than these two...
These cubs were on the prowl, that's why,
And naughty things they'd do!
Yes, naughty things! Without a doubt!
These scamps were rogues at heart!
They weren't adverse to thump and clout
And pull things all apart!
What makes that tick? How does that move?
They'd ask the live-long day,
As if they'd got something to prove,
Like scientists at play...
Inquisitive by day and night,
They drove their parents mad!
They'd pester poor old Mum, too right,
Yet kept clear of their Dad!
'It's just a phase! ', the others said,
'Let's wait a little while...'
Yet secretly they'd go to bed,
Then giggle, smirk and smile...

There Is A Vicariousness Lived
Sometimes when I awaken,
I wish my mind was not so investigative.
But I am too inquisitive,
To assume.
Those who sit and imagine their lives,
And others who are living theirs...
Seem to have so much time,
Not to experience life.
From their lips when in the exchange of gossip...
There is a vicariousness lived to then embellish...
Flowing nonstop to listening ears.
And when I hear this it becomes hard to detect...
What is real and what has been memorized,
From what has been spoken by another...
To then take out of context.
Delusional people can make real their fantasies.
Sometimes when I awaken,
I wish my mind was not so investgative.
But I am too inquisitive,
To assume.

We are somehow natured, not just to reproduce, but for sociality and even for culture.
Cease your jests, there is no joke in being ill-natured.
When an observation by joke is true, it is out of place and ill-natured.
One forgives the critic - perhaps - but never the good-natured friend.

Magic In Her Mind
silent studies
time spent alone
questions open ended
spanning out across eternity
inquisitive eyes deciphering
quizzical cryptology
tip toeing around
the event horizon
batting eye lashes
on the brink of a black hole
flirting with oblivion
fashionable balms
conceal minor mirror insecurities
she bargains with herself
bartering youth on behalf of a dream
ambitions surpassing the confines
of her single bedroom apartment
beauty beckons brilliance
inside a moment awakens
clarity trumpets inspiration
the battling ceases
at ease becoming one with herself
she breathes in peace
braving death daily
she refuses to recoil
at the face of fear
she does not hide from
the hideous realities
known only to her is
the whispered identity
the wind unwraps riddles in her ear
her belief in natured assured
she rides waves of blind faith
dolphins carry her ashore
magic in her mind
she mingles with mermaids
she waltzes and dines in
walt disney's gold-vaulted ballroom

For if there is anything to one's praise, it is foolish vanity to be gratified at it, and if it is abuse - why one is always sure to hear of it from one damned good-natured friend or another!

Some Critics on the Hearth are not only good-natured, but have rather too high, or, if that is impossible, let us say too pronounced, an opinion of the abilities of their literary friends.

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 12
An ill-humoured man is captive in the hands of a foe, from the grasp of whose punishment he cannot be delivered wherever he may go.
If from the hand of calamity an ill-natured man escapes into the sky
The evil disposition of his own nature retains him in calamity.
