The Word

Find the word, understand the word,
Depend on the word;
The word is heaven and space, the word the earth,
The word the universe.
The word is in our ears, the word is on our tongues,
The word the idol.
The word is the holy book, the word is harmony,
The word is music.
The word is magic, the word the Guru.
The word is the body, the word is the spirit, the word is being,
The word Not-being.
The word is man, the word is woman,
The Worshipped Great.
The word is the seen and unseen, the word is the existent
And the non-existent.
Know the word, says Kabir,
The word is All-powerful.

The Word and the Deed

THE Word was first, says the revelation:
Justice is older than error or strife;
The Word preceded the Incarnation
As symbol and type of law and life.
And always so are the mighty changes:
The word must be sown in the heart like seed;
Men's hands must tend it, their lives defend it,
Till it burst into flower as a deathless Deed.

The primal truth neither dies nor slumbers,
But lives as the test of the common right,
That the laws proclaimed by the sworded numbers
May stand arraigned in the people's sight.
The Word is great, and no Deed is greater,
When both are of God, to follow or lead;
But, alas, for the truth when the Word comes later,
With questioned steps, to sustain the Deed.

Not the noblest acts can be true solutions;
The soul must be sated before the eye,
Else the passionate glory of revolutions
Shall pass like the flames that flash and die.
But forever the gain when the heart's convictions,
Rooted in nature the masses lead;
The cries of rebellion are benedictions
When the Word has flowered in a perfect Deed.

True Face of A War Hero

(dedicated to... well no one. I have seen the carnage of war and wrote this. I'm sorry to all my family that is fighting for america for me to post this but well yeah.)

*War.*
A simple three letter word designed to make people go die,

*Hero.*
A person who does a great deed and is reconized for that deed.

A War Hero
A person reconized for being a hero during a war (and they usually die doing that deed)

I had waited eagerly for that moment,
We had all wanted to see the great general.
We crowded the streets,
Our happy screams rising thorugh the day.
At last the car drifted down the street and the greatest of all hushes fell,
Out stepped a man,
he had no arm,
He walked only beacuse of two plain crutches.
Everyone fell silent,
Surely this couldn't be the great hero who won the war?
He smirked and glared at us sourly,
Such a great hero am I,
Your cheers echo for all to hear!
And then you fall silent,
Seeing this bitter man before you.
So is war such a good thing for you to cheer me?
All I did was cause another war.
And as all of us do,
I killed others- many others.
And I'm proud of it.
The man hobbled into the car and drove away,
The croud dwindled to meet and greet others.
They cared not for this bitter stranger,
They cared not that he killed many others,
They cared not that war was destruction.
So do we care that others are dying?
It's your choice,
Choose.
Only you can decide what we do/

Buddha

The thought manifests as the word; The word manifests as the deed; The deed develops into habit; And habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care, And let it spring from love Born out of concern for all beings.

Cosmic Convoy

Space cowboy:
Breaker, breaker, breaker, this is the space cowboy out here,
And I am four light years away from the planet saturn.
Anybody out there got your ears on?
Why dont you tell me about it?
Jupiter moon:
Hello [...] space cowboy. this is jupiter moon talking at you
From mulitoid space. got some folks over here on your back door.
No one over here at your front door. looks like we got us a
Cosmic convoy.
Space cowboy:
Ah, tell me something now, we got that jupiter probe out there
Still?
Jupiter moon:
Yeah, [...] right behind you, following you.
Space cowboy:
Well tell me something, got any word on mr. spock out there?
Is he looking around for us?
Jupiter moon:
Ah, word I get is you better slow down a little bit. I know
Hes pushing 19 gs right now, and I think thats a little
Above the limit.
Space cowboy:
Yeah, I know, I know, Im rigged up, but I thought I could
Make up a little time here. I lost so much time coming around
The sun.
Jupiter moon:
Yeah I know, scooby doo for me too, sun spots [...]
Ok, space cowboy [...]
Space cowboy:
[...] and Im putting the hammer down. its been fun running
With you. well see you next century.
Jupiter moon:

Good Deeds

The right deed is a good deed,
Feathers are reclined on since birth.
One saying carries new meaning
For those who listen and create deeds.

A man’s heart implores goodness from the soul,
This is beautiful when his wishes are met.
The deed of the heart is a greater deed,
It is a highest deed, full of promise.

You are higher than this of course,
The cushions we sit on are relaxing
Due to your tallness and weight,
This is a secret of the soul.

Today... 'The Word

Word of love and the Word made flesh
Word incarnate forever blessed
Word of life and the Word of light
Word of power and Word of might.

Word that was spoken, Word of the Lord
Word of the Law and the Word of God
Word of peace and Word eternal
Word of truth and last Word of all.

Word of wisdom and the Word of healing
Word from heaven, a Word so appealing
Word fulfilling the Word of prophecy
Word of the Spirit and Word of destiny.

Word of exhortation and Word of grace
Word of encouragement and Word of faith
Word of promise and a Word of insight
Word from the beginning and Word of delight.

Word of knowledge and a Word of boldness
Word of peace and the Word of righteousness
Word of the covenant and Word of love
Word of the Father from heaven above.

Fell Deed

a fell deed this night,
in the silent dark,
a dagger flashes,
and blood flows.

a fell deed this night,
done in candlelight,
the knife does fall,
as the victim tumbles.

a fell deed this night,
only a slight,
to the killer,
who doth run.

a fell deed this night,
running he be,
through the slight light,
a corner he turns.

a fell deed this night,
a bang a shot,
a gun doth drop,
a killer killed.

a fell deed this night,
a new killer laughs,
an evil sound.
a fell deed this night.

A Bitter Word

I taste bitterness in my mouth
each time I hear the word war.
It's a taste that's born of compassion
from a word that's been heard before.
Too young they die
not knowing why.
Too young they leave
and as we grieve
I hear that word again.

I spit from the bitter taste of it
and it still won't go away.
It's the same old word that drives me mad
and reminds me every day
that man is pliable in the hands
of ones whose insatiable need
never tastes bitterness in their mouth
from the word or from the deed.

Why A Deed Done To Do

A deed to do that has been done,
Is best left to be discovered...
Than to await to get approval,
By those who will debate...
Why a deed done to do,
With a doing...
To disapprove of the doer.
As the deed done goes undiscussed,
Not to be mentioned.

New World

the great word of blessendness
and a feeling of ease
a cup of the well of freedom
and a life we joyfully drink
inside, all was new, but outwards
nothing had changed
an escapade,
then to the altar to
evaluate all parts
of the great mystery
but all remains
on the same spot,
no signs of a new season
in my hand is a new word,
but the word is still
without body
a hidden life-stream that
swells in the deep
will soon give the word
a second face

You made me believe

You made me believe
in angels
and something of the divine
when you became mine.

You struck my humanity
with greater beauty
than I expected
from any human being.

Yet your spirit
blazed through every word
and every deed
in much more than sincerity

making me believe
that your love is something
great and powerful.

An entity that cannot perish,
nor grow dim with time,
or age or changes in our reality

and in you I see reflected
the man
that I ought to be.

So Much More

You're so much more to me
Than words can tell
Or the actions that you see
Beautiful, amazing, lovely, honest, loyal these words describe you well
But fail to show you for what you are
High above like a star
You're more than enough for me
But I can no longer hide
And just be friends, my feelings are so much greater- let them be
I just want to spend my life by your side
Because this love of mine I give to you
You who
I praise and adore
Yet no word and no action and no loving phrase
Could give you enough praise
Or do justice to my boundless love for you! But my heart is sore
And cannot wait
My love is too great
If only there was some word to describe the depth of
Of... my love, my love for you, how could I explain this love?
Because it's more than word and deed
More than a need
This love I have is more
So much more, three words will have to suffice so listen close
The only three words I know to express my love so lean in
I love you

The Place Between

Where and how to find immortal soul;
or self; eternal witness; eye of God;
or place, or space, within the eager heart
where All, or One, may hide – or may await?
So where to find first clue; or some frayed end
of golden thread that leads to golden light?

Not in the wrinkled brow… but in the simplest things
the greatest secrets wait, as we are told;
in the magic land that’s called Between:

Between the end of one thought, and the next,
as it is formed within the mind – the briefest space
where nothing but the witness of our self
rests, perfect, pure, complete, within itself;
inviting us to join that rest for just as long
as we enjoy this satisfaction
of the presence of ourself;

And if that taste of presence pleases -
then, between each word we hear or speak,
we’ll find the silence of ourself; and find
how each word comes from silence, and returns;
and as we relish and besport in that great space,
from greater silence, greater words may come..

There is no limit to that world, Between:
we’ll find it more and more, within all things,
beyond all things; it is the music of our life
which sings its song through thought and speech and act;
a music in a boundless space, so vast
that we may meet our greater self – at last!
