The great thing about McDonald's is that they have a lot of different things on the menu. I love their salads.

The Pancake Parlor
The pancake parlor is a great place to meet,
Where you can enjoy, your favorite meal you want to eat;
Go anytime of the day, they're open right thru, till 1am its true,
And such great service, and pleasant, to me and to you.
They've got a menu, at a reasonable price, to afford,
And you're not kept waiting to keep you so bored;
The seating is comfortable, so you won't be sore,
And as I said the price is okay, won't leave you poor.
Try the great menu, with entree', main course and sweet,
From steak to fries, pancakes with the lot, is a treat;
Salads of every kind, with dressings, make it complete,
Then icecream sundaes, or fruit salad as a sweet.
Yes! Go to the parlor the next meal you eat out,
Take your friends and tell them you'll shout;
A lovely drink, of iced lemon or orange tea,
Maybe something hot, like chocolate, with your tea.
Thanks all you staff, at the pancake parlor, your great,
To cheer up the lonely, when they have no mate;
And you will find, to go there you don't need to explain,
Why you chose to eat there, your privacy with you will remain.

We cover hamburgers, chicken, veggie burgers, salads, we've got a pretty broad range. To me, McDonald's isn't only about the food. It's about the prices, it's about the way we eat.

Any Foolish Thing
By michael mcdonald & chuck sabatino
Im not used to saying things like that
cause all my best intentions fall so flat
But when it comes down to it
My love for you knows no limit, darling
Ill say, Ill do
Chorus:
Any foolish thing to call on your affection
Any foolish thing to show how much I care
Any foolish thing that we say might come about
(any foolish thing that we say might just come true)
Dont take it lightly, girl
cause it could just work out
(Id bet it all on you)
That this love wont be any foolish thing
I know you dont believe in every line you hear
Forgive me if Im sounding too sincere
But I cant take chances you might slip away
While I wait for the right time
And place to say
Chorus:
Could turn you away
Can lead you astray
Or shadow this love I feel
Anything I say
Might make you see
That deep in my heart
Your love is safe with me
Chorus:

Old McDonald had a farm
Old McDonald had a farm
Oi oi oi oh oi oi oi
And on that farm’s menu many
Ia ia ohs
But the birds of prey
Let the dolphins say
‘Let us all now swim
Singin’ bum bam bim’
So the morning wing
Let the eagles sing
And the dogs wow wowed
At a sunlit cloud
And the cows mew mewed
‘We are not subdued! ’
And the ducks kwa kwad
‘We will not let guard
Old McDonald oi oi oi
Ia ia oh! ’
And a woodoopecker pecked
What a woodoohacker hacked
And the Robby Rabbot sniffed
Little tortoise so swift
And the monkey’s swaying laughter
Spread smiles forever after
Donkeys burst out loud loud loud
Ia ia ooooooh!

Love's Menu: Pommes de Terre Frites
Fried potatoes is a dish
Good as any one could wish:
Cheap it is, and appetizing;
Turn a saint to gormandizing:
Good and cheap and tasty too,
Just the thing for Love's Menu.
Love is dainty, and his food,
Even though common, must be good:
Love hath little to disburse,
So his fare must fit his purse:
Love hath fickle appetite,
We his palate must invite:
Crisp and hot, the price a sou,
Fried Potatoes, Love's Menu.

Fries On The Side (#2)
o the tune of Dylan's 'God on our side'.....
And now we have breakfasts
Of chemical dust
If eat them we're forced to
Then eat them we must
One push of the button
A new menu worldwide
You can't beat a MacDonalds
With fries on the side.
I used to hate salads
And vegetables too
I would never eat them
Do you know what i'd do?
I'd wait for a moment
Then move them aside
Right under the table
With fries on the side.
But now at McDonalds
They've got healthier food
I think that it sucks
And i'm not being rude
It may even taste better
You'll have to decide
For all i want is a burger
With fries on the side.

In the spirit of Rumi - 50 - One Thing
Oh the pleasure, the happiness,
the delight, the joy, the bliss,
of doing just one thing above all!
When I was a child, I did many things;
that’s right for children – there’s the world,
go play in it; ask, what’s a horizon? but what
lies beyond? and why can’t I see angels
if angels can see me? …
When I was a young man, I did many things;
that’s right for young men – which one will I love?
which one will love me? And when we’ve together found our love,
oh what then? and oh what then?
But now I’m older, there seems less time
for many things; they will look after themselves
without my help… so, what delight
to give oneself to just one thing…
one thing at a time; and then
one thing…
and it seems, it doesn’t matter what;
roses need an expert to collaborate
in dreaming up new beauty from an older stock;
dogs need exercise, and a two-legs to look up to;
grandchildren are born to love grandparents
in a special way..
and, duties done, and hearts served well,
one thing…it might be poetry,
in which to say, look, all this
I’ve received: here’s recognition,
acknowledgement, and gratitude…
and the other things, like sleeping, eating,
become day by day like living in someone else’s poem;
someone else committed to one thing…
and then one day, perhaps,
life’s curtain twitches; and some great being
looks in the window, the very moment you look out;
and ‘one thing’, in the most natural way,
becomes…

Believe In It
By michael mcdonald
Its hard to bet your life on love
When all we learn is how to keep on moving
And the odds are never good enough
For all we know, nothing lasts forever in this life
Show me one thing that will never fade away
What goes with the fall, returns with the spring
This whole world is made that way
Whos to know if love will stay
Chorus:
But theres nothing quite like this
That Ive ever known
And I believe in it
Theres no way out of it
I cant let go
Because I believe in it
We second guess the things we see
When all too soon you know time will show
If love was never meant to be
Then we cant hide before too long
Well know if it was right
Show me one thing that will never fade away
What goes with the fall, returns with the spring
This whole world is made that way
Whos to know if love will stay

Vanilla Sky
The chef prepares a special menu for your delight, oh my
Tonight you fly so high up in the vanilla sky
Unbearable or great
You gotta love every hour, you must appreciate
This is your time
This is your day
Youve got it all
Dont blow it away
The chef prepares a special menu for your delight, oh my
Tonight you fly so high up in the vanilla sky
Melted tinbeads cast your fortune in a glass of wine
Snail or fish, balloon or dolphin, see yourself shine
This is your time
This is your day
Youve got it all
Dont blow it away
The chef prepares a special menu for your delight, oh my
Tonight you fly so high up in the vanilla sky
In the vanilla, in the vanilla, in the vanilla sky
In the vanilla, in the vanilla, in the vanilla sky
In the vanilla sky

Every Little Thing
When Im walking beside her,
People tell me Im lucky
Yes I know Im a lucky guy
I remember the first time
I was lonely without her
Cant stop thinking about her now
Every little thing she does
She does for me
And you know the things she does
She does for me
When Im with her Im happy
Just to know that she loves me
Yes I know that she loves me now
There is one thing Im sure of
I will love her forever
cause I know love will never die
Every little thing she does
She does for me
And you know the things she does
She does for me
Every little thing she does
She does for me
And you know the things she does
She does for me
When Im with her Im happy
Just to know that she loves me
Yes I know that she loves me now
There is one thing Im sure of
I will love her forever

Every little thing, every little thing.

Searchin For Understanding
By darrell brown and michael mcdonald
So long ago that you can hardly remember
So far away but not so out of mind
And youre still waiting to be forgiven
Whose problem is it after all this time
Down deep inside, if I were in your shoes
I know in my heart, Id never do that to you
Its time to decide, if I still wanna try
If loves gonna last, theres one thing I gotta find
Im searchin for understanding
Im lookin for understanding
Im sorry that my feelings are still so tender
The things they make me do, and make me say
I know in time that all things get better
But til then this may be the price you have to pay
Down deep inside, if I were in your shoes
I know in my heart, Id never do that to you
Its time to decide, what were gonna do
If loves gonna last, theres something I need from you
So easily trust can be broken
Not so when a hearts got to mend
Your love was the one thing I believed in
Will it ever be the same again

Salads was a big indicator of that - there was a huge market out there for it. And why not tap it? Some of the things we are doing now around the globe are responding to customers. It's not because some guy sued you.

My Rondel
When I was hatred I was great,
While I, today, all things above,
Am great – great for I feel I’m love,
Great for with Lethe I share the fate.
Yes, mercilessness makes you great,
But high you fly, high like a dove
When nothing is your heart but love,
When mercy does your soul elate.
I know: all things bear sorrow’s weight,
Through life in ignorance we rove,
But every solace is in love,
And even if distress be great,
Elation is: forgive, forget.

Get On The Right Thing
All at once you get love on your mind
And your world is as kind as a penny
Oh.... and you knew it all along / you did the right thing
Believe me its true / and it can happen to you
All at once you get sound in your ears
And your cloud disappears into yellow
Well you know they were were wrong
Get on the right thing / well you knew it all along
Get on the right thing
Believe me its so / because I happen to know
Try a little love, you cant go wrong
Get on the right thing (repeat twice)
My little love you cant go wrong
Get on the right thing / get on the right thing
Get on tee right thing do / get on the right thing you
All at once we see things in our skies
And we both realize it together
Well you know they were wrong
Get on the right thing / yes you knew it all along
Get on the right thing / believe me its so
Because I happen to know / you cant go wrong
Get on the right thing, get on the right thing,
Get on the right thing / you cant go wrong get on the right thing
And try a little love / and it cant go wrong
Get on the right thing you etc.
Try a little love, you cant go wrong
Get on the right thing etc.

You Show Me
By harry garfield and michael mcdonald
Not every hope is a dream come true
Not every heart is made of steel
Not all love sees the end of time
And more hearts than not will be broken tryin'
But i believe that love is enough
In the healing of your touch
Because you show me
What it's all about
I would never find out
Unless you showed me
How easily we complicate the simple things
And one mistake we make along the way
Is to think there's so much more we need
Of things that time only takes away
Here all that we have is now
We learn to believe somehow
It's enough we have today
All i know is time changes everything
Whatever tomorrow brings
I will believe

The matter of a thing
You are a spiritual thing,
You are a living thing,
You are a breathing thing,
You are a amazing thing,
You are a vivacious thing,
and you can arise above anything,
because you were created by the King of Kings,
to do wonderful and kingly things.
Therefore each day, as you look into
the mirror, allow your eyes to behold you.
Also be ever mindful, and make a mental note of
the true, authentic you.
The matter of a great thing.
