Appeal to the governor of louisiana
You may get an answer the process is slow
Federal government too much to help him
It's been nearly five years
And they won't let him go
(chorus)
Tyler is guilty the white judge has said so
What right do we have to say it's not so
Tyler is guilty the white judge has said so
What right do we have to say it's not so
Testify under pressure, a racist jury
Government lawyers its all for show
With rows of white faces
False accusations
He's framed up for murder
They won't let him go
(chorus)
Tyler is guilty the white judge has said so

Police gun was planted
No matching bullets
No prints on the handle, no proof to show

They show him no mercy

Guilty
Just tried to have fun raised hell and then some
I'm a dirt-talkin', beer drinkin', woman chasin' minister's son
Slap on the make-up and blast out the music
Wake up the neighbors with a roar like a teenage heavy metal elephant gun
If you call that guilty then that's what I am
I'm guilty
I'm guilty
I like driving too fast
Love going too far
It seems the law's on my ass every time I stick it out of the door
If you call that guilty then that's what I am
I'm guilty
I'm guilty
Bad boy on a summer night
When the heat makes me mean and I wanna fight
With my pedal to the metal
And I do what I want to do
Bad girls make me feel all right
When it's hot and they start screaming in the night
Golly gee, it's wrong to be so guilty
I'm guilty
Guilty
I'm guilty
My conscience is on vacation in acute degeneration
Willpower has sunk to all-time low
If you call that guilty well I guess I am
I'm guilty
I'm guilty
If you call that guilty then that's what I am
I'm guilty, I'm guilty, I'm guilty, I'm guilty
I'm guilty, I'm guilty, I'm guilty, I'm guilty
Well I'm guilty
Yeah I'm guilty
I don't care
I'm guilty
I think I've been framed anyway
They said I'm guilty
I'm guilty
They're guilty and everyone is guilty

Mom or son, who is guilty?
“Mr. John, do you plead guilty,
Or, say for this theft not guilty? ”
The judge asked the young thief,
At the end, this question in brief.
“No, My Lord, I’m not guilty,
I say this upon the Almighty.
To tell the truth, my mom is guilty,
For her care upon me faulty.”
“My dad passed away,
I still remember that day,
When my mom cried,
I was then just a child.”
“In my student days,
I stole in small ways,
Coins from my house.
But my mom ignored this.”
“When I was grown up,
My wants also grew up.
I became a pick pocket,
Around the busy market.”
“My mom didn’t say a word,
Much about me when she heard,
No corrective steps she had taken,
Nor, with a stick I was beaten.”
“For her fault, I bear the brunt.
I’m taken to the court front.
This is a lesson to every mom.
Now it’s my duty to inform.”
The judge found some reason in this,
But failed to admit the plea of his,
As his blame on the mom to shift,
Never did the law book permit.

Guilty
Guilty, guilty
Guilty, I'm paralyzed with guilt
It runs through me like a rain through silk
Guilty, my mind won't leave me alone
My teeth are rotted
my lips start to foam
Cause I'm so guilty
Guilty, guilty
Ooohhh guilty
What did I say
What did I say
What did I do
Did I ever do it to you
Don't turn your back, ah
I can't look you in the eye, ah
Eye eye eye eye
I guess I'm guilty as charged
I guess I'm guilty as charged
Guilty, huh, guilty ah, guilty ah, guilty
Guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty
Don't do that
Don't do that
Don't do what
Oh you're such a child
real fool child
Guilty
What can I do
I do it to you
but I do it to me too
Cut off my head
Cut off my head
Cut off my head, ah
Hang me from the yardarm
Guilty, I'm paralyzed with guilt
I've got bad thoughts
I've got an evil clit
Guilty
Guilty, my mind won't leave me alone
I've got a bad mind
I've got a bad bone
Guilty guilty guilty as charged
Guilty
Don't do that
Don't do what
Don't do that
Oh you're such a reckless child
You remember when you were a baby
Do you remember when you were a baby
Do you have a jury, yeah
Do you have a verdict
Guilty as charged
Guilty guilty guilty as charged
Do you have a verdict
Do you have a verdict
I'm guilty
You're guilty
Oh you're such a reckless child
I should beat you
I should hit you
I'll put you in therapy, ah

Guilty Of Love
(coverdale)
I believe my love for you
Is a love that will last forever,
An Im here to testify
Im a prisoner of your heart
Baby dont you believe
When I tell you I love you
That I really mean it,
Dont you walk away,
Dont you turn your back on me
Im guilty of love,
Its a crime of passion
Guilty of love,
An theres no doubt about it,
No doubt about it
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree
I can never forget the times
When I took what you gave me for granted
So I stand accused
An I plead guilty to the crime
You can lock me away if you want
Just as long as your arms are around me,
An I wont mind
If you just throw away the key
Im guilty of love,
Its a crime of passion
Guilty of love,
An theres no doubt about it,
No doubt about it
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree
Guilty of love...
Im guilty of love,
Its a crime of passion
Guilty of love,
An theres no doubt about it,
No doubt about it
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty
Guilty of love,
Im guilty of love,
Im guilty,
In the first degree...

Judge
Judge is not here to decide
Who is winner and who is loser.
Judge is here to decide
Who is in right point.
No judge is empower to
Pronounced death sentences
No judge has got power
To give life to the lifeless.
Judge can not decide
The synonyms and antonyms
Judge can not say
The right source for right word.
Judge is not judge
So long as the judge is mortal
Judge is judge
If judge is eternal.

Not Guilty
Not guilty
For getting in your way
While youre trying to steal the day
Not guilty
And Im not here for the rest
Im not trying to steal your vest.
I am not trying to be smart
I only want what I can get
Im really sorry for your ageing head
But like you heard me said
Not guilty.
Not guilty
For being on your street
Getting underneath your feet
Not guilty
No use handing me a writ
While Im trying to do my bit.
I dont expect to take your heart . . .
I only want what I can get
Im really sorry that youre underfed . . .
But like you heard me said . . .
Not guilty.
Not guilty
For looking like a freak
Making friends with every sikh
Not guilty
For leading you astray
On the road to mandalay.
I wont upset the apple cart
I only want what I can get
Im really sorry that youve been misled . . .
But like you heard me said . . .
Not guilty.

I condemned his assaulting his wife.
I condemned her beating her children.
I condemned his infidelity.
Could I be different if I were in their shoes?

So I went in front of the judge, and I had my St. Jude prayer book in my pocket and my St. Jude medal. And I'm standing there and that judge said I was found guilty, so he sentenced me to what the law prescribed: one to 14 years.

Diminished Responsibility
Makeup cannot hide the bruising,
or the swollen eye.
Sunglasses only make people,
what you’re trying to hide.
You seem so defiant,
only a few know the truth.
About the coward and bully,
who has a hold on you.
He looks as if he wouldn’t hurt a fly,
and smiles with a friendly face.
You’d take him as a regular nice guy,
but with in the four walls,
of a place you call a home,
he flies into a jealous rage.
Accuses you of this and that,
and then grabs the baseball bat.
His temper with in doors,
rages out of control.
He smashes things and you,
for any meaningless thing.
He thinks that with in the walls,
he is protected from anything.
He can use you as a punching bag,
and there is nothing anyone can do.
One day he will go to far,
you know that’s so true,
but you’re frightened of him,
and wonder what you can do.
You fear going to the police,
will only enrage him more,
so resign yourself to misery,
because he is coming through the door.
There is something shiny in his hand.
Fear opens your eyes wide,
there is nowhere to run,
nowhere that you can hide.
The newspapers called it,
a heinous crime of the century,
but you will never see the headline.
You’re new home is a body bag.
They carry your limp body out,
on a stretcher for all to see.
He just stands handcuffed,
saying, “It wasn’t me.”
It’s too late to go now;
you should have taken it when you had the chance.
He stands smiling with defiance;
they can’t do anything to me.
Guilty is the verdict,
but he stands smiling from the dock.
He cannot see anything he’s done wrong.
The said it was diminished responsibility.
The judge looked at him, disgust in his eyes.
You have been found guilty
and I sentence you to be locked away indefinitely.
The defiance faded from his eyes.

Gavel's Grace
How can we talk of venturing space
when we haven't yet come to learn the ways of earth?
Why assume we're deserving of such stellar privileges?
How can we even think of leaving earth in
such a tumultuous state of man-made disarray?
This blame far out reaches anyone
these motions predate any present life
yet who amongst us hasn't stood
with smoking gun
with lose of innocence
comes a shedding of ignorance
any guilty party
is guilty by mere
association
who amongst us hasn't
been accessory to this crime?
Yet the supreme judge does
not reside in persecuting an
entire population
the supreme judge serves
to any enlighten any
witness willing to
abide by his high ruling

The Nap Taker
No - I did not take a nap -
The nap - took - me
off the bed and out the window
far beyond the sea,
to a land where sleepy heads
read only comic books
and lock their naps in iron safes
so that they can't get took.
And soon as I came to that land,
I also came to grief.
The people pointed at me, shouting,
'Where's the nap, you thief?'
They took me to the courthouse.
The judge put on his cap.
He said, 'My child, you are on trial
for taking someone's nap.
'Yes, all you selfish children,
you think just of yourselves
and don't care if the nap you take
belongs to someone else.
It happens that the nap you took
without a thought or care
belongs to Bonnie Bowlingbrook,
who's sittin' cryin' there.
'She hasn't slept in quite some time -
just see her eyelids flap.
She's tired drowsy - cranky too,
'cause guess who took her nap?'
The jury cried, 'You're guilty, yes,
you're guilty as can be.
But just return the nap you took
And we might set you free.'
'I did not take that nap,' I cried,
'I give my solemn vow,
and if I took it by mistake
I do not have it now.'
'Oh fiddle-fudge,' cried out the judge,
your record looks quite sour.
Last night I see you stole a kiss,
Last week you took a shower,
'You beat your eggs, you've whipped your cream,
at work you punched the clock,
You've even killed an hour or two,
we've heard you darn your socks.
We know you shot a basketball,
you've stolen second base,
and we can see you're guilty
from the sleep that's on your face.
'Go lie down on your blanket now
and cry your guilty tears.
I sentence you to one long nap
for ninety million years.
And when the other children see
this nap that never ends,
no child will ever dare to take
somebody's nap again.'

Do not Judge me (First Poem Submitted)
As I stand before you
with the reality of the shame of my sins in my arms.
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
You do not know the pains I have suffered,
As you look at me like I am a demon from the pits of Hell.
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
Picture youself alone as I, needing the comfort and touch of another.
Would you not do the same?
Do not judge me.
You do not know me.
And my child has already been marked like a person with the plague.
Not given a chance,
Do not judge him,
You do not know him.
We all have sinned and it is not our job to judge,
So do not judge me.
You do not know me.

Buddhist Hell
Its own dark hills and dales
Make Dante's version look like a putt-putt
Whereas its flames make Hell's own plain
Seem snug as an electric blanket
And though, condemned there, you can get sprung,
So can you, thanks, from Purgatory.
Keep me, Lord, from a place
Where there's no parole, no peer-jury, no
Lawyers, phones (even a broken one) or leave;
Where it was nobody's fault but your own.
Just forget the insanity plea
You are guilty, guilty, guilty.
Why, a list of its offences
Include some of my favorite sins.
By it's tenets I have already earned
Eons of time writhing in its coils;
Nor can its multiplicities-eight, in sum,
Make me very eager to convert.
And though there may be some who call
Very earth Hell
(I didn't think so when younger, but au contraire
Thought very Heaven earth)
With my luck, I'd select some vice
Firmly attaching the Hell-string.
Listen, now...

Keeping Our Love Alive
Cmon make my day
Thats what she said, pointing her gun
Your lucks on the run
Some fast talkin, quick step walkin, roadblocks ahead
You may say Im guilty but I try
Keepin our love alive
The judge and jury
The accused in fury--clutching at straws
Its all for the cause
Circumstances blew your chances
Its understood
You mat say Im guilty but I tried
Keepin our love alive, keepin our love alive
Treadin through the grapevine
Sendin you a lifeline
Dont let it go
You may say Im guilty but I tried
Keepin our love alive
Keepin our love alive
