Workaholic

Ok, let's go to work!
The workaholic!
The workaholic!
R: the workaholic he works every day
24 hours, no time to play
He won't quit; he's addicted to work
I think he's going out like a jerk
Working, working, what can you do?
See the light from a different point of view!
Ready in the morning for the bell to chime
I think he's glad it's working time!
The workaholic!
A: work your body, baby work your soul!
Keep on workin' workin' to the bone!
Work your body, baby, work your soul
I'm a workaholic when i'm on the floor!
The workaholic!
R: first like a jerk, why you always work?
Messing up your mind with that paperwork?
The only thing is to break ball
Is working, yo, and that's all
They do it for money, but he for fun
He won't get away until the job is done
For drinkin' drinkin' like an alcoholic
The guy is just a workaholic!
The workaholic!
A: work your body, baby work your soul!
Keep on workin' workin' to the bone!
Work your body, baby, work your soul
I'm a workaholic when i'm on the floor!

People are saying that I'm an alcoholic, and that's not true, because I only drink when I work, and I'm a workaholic.

I'm a workaholic. Before long I'm traveling on my nervous energy alone. This is incredibly exhausting.
Lately I've been a workaholic. I'm in the studio all the time and I've helped to produce a couple of artists.

Workaholic
Being workaholic is of great charm
where every one is being alarm!
Alarm! that faints their heart
from the perils of deflowering failure
That paints gaiety
with sublime piety
like a prophetic zeal
neither quaver nor shaky
For the sustenance of those
who marshaled himself gain virility

Boxes
Boxes of thoughts are looted by the public,
I am one who abstains from pleasure and am a workaholic.
Illness may be soap for the wild and perfect,
But thoughts can be candles, I just do think it.
Joy is from the volcanic thought, a mountain has erupted,
And too soon the philosophy of mine is concocted.
Open the brain of a man in prison, his needs are met,
His mind is really upset, it seemed to glare and be in debt.
From him came my salary of a thinker and a scholar,
Of a medic and a fighter, the very same as a father.

Revised
Wake up, put a frown on my face
'Cause I'm gonna take the trip down to that evil 'school' place
We're gonna work and never be done
'Cause kids just cannot have fun!
[Cannot have fun
Cannot have fun
Cannot have fun
Cannot have fun]
Make your day a work-filled one
'Cause kids just cannot have fun!
***Note: Some Canadians/Torontonians might know of the famous amusement park, Ontario Place, in Toronto, and have seen the television advertisement for it in the summers. This poem/song is based on the jingle in that advertisement, with 'revised' lyrics for typical workaholic students (including yours truly here) .***

One Day Unbroken One Awakens to See
From sensitive to monster.
Cold and thoughtless.
From homo to queer.
And other names I've heard called,
Over the many years.
From lazy to workaholic.
And from too discipline and driven...
Are those titles I've been given.
But vicious I am not.
Although I do live in that atmosphere.
Where people will unite quickly...
To throw daggers and eyes of spears.
And one day unbroken one awakens to see...
The levels experienced by those of different consciousness.
Which of those living in reality...
Oppose to those who curse themselves,
In accepted darkness.
To then realize who's life should be prioritized.
And which nonsense to dismiss.
And before one can blink an eye,
This is done!
Well...
Perhaps a few blinks.
But my point is this...
Whatever one chooses to dismiss,
Can and will be done.

The Workaholic
He retired from his job on his sixty fifth birthday
But he did not enjoy the work free life
And he died just nine months into his retirement
To be mourned by his family and his wife.
It has been said he was a workaholic
And that he was one who worked as hard as two
And he felt bored without a job to go to
And he pined away as many like him do.
His problem was he did not have a hobby
And a working life the life he loved and knew
A good man for his wife and family and his Country
But good men just like bad men must die too.
For forty seven years he worked for the same employers
And to the end to his bosses was true
His parting gift from them a wrist watch and box of chocolates
And a well done and a shake hands and thank you.
He must have been one who truly liked his bosses
To have worked for them for forty seven years
His last day on the job it was his saddest
And as he left he fought to choke the tears.
His problem was that he did not have a hobby
And he only lived for each working day
And when he left the workforce in his sixties
He fell into ill health and pined away.

Come to Work
Leisure-lovers, looking for
Exotic reasons to explore
The mystery of recent past
Strap on your watches, strive
To look a little nine-to-five
And be Industrial at last
Don’t look as if you’d shirk
Our next activity: To Work-
A game I’m sure you’ll grasp
Get into working rhythm, find
Dancing to The Daily Grind
The ultimate in hip-hop blast
Toss off your miniscule computers
Mingle with these old commuters
Join them in their ancient task
Find bliss – a new emphatic thrill
Behind this old pneumatic drill
And give it your ghetto blast
The natives of this odd time-spot
Are leisure-seeker-friendly, not
All against lane-living Fast
They..their stress in Union
Strikes – a kind blest communion
Under Holy Mentor, Marx.
If it’s your quirk then please frolic
In sun of work, be workaholic
Drink from it labour flask
Well, work-fantasists, a pleasure
It has been to guide your leisure
I must sleep now - kavlast!

Am lazy
I like to go crazy
In fact I am very lazy
Take everything easy
Workaholic and very busy
In fact it is different
It doesn’t look apparent
As hills look from distance
For me it is wrong reference
I am exactly the opposite
I get so much delight
I do right a wrong and wrong a right
No to yes as ready to fight
Is it due to indifferent attitude?
Or because of kept in solitude
Whatever the case may be in fact
I go for unusual things and act
What can build a good character?
How can you become a good actor?
Are there any set norms or rules?
Do you think I live among fools?
I love to remain as small child
Act very funny but remain mild
This is only one good quality I have
I sensibly remain cool and behave
There is no use to remain as artificial
Later on it may be known and considered as official
It is true reflection of what is going on in mind
People may take it kindly and don’t mind
This stage is welcome to certain extent
It may create fun at some moment
It may draw sometime an adverse comment
It may still be taken as funny movement
Try to be reasonably good
You may certainly be liked delicious food
People may not take it as affront
You will always be there in front

Pain behind
I could see the pain behind
I can understand easily find
Those were days when I was so amazed
When your eyes brightened and blazed
I had no hope of coming near
You were so reserved and I had fear
Still you considered me very dear
Gave everything in return to bear
I look back those years
Very nice and melodious sound in ears
Your talk seemed full of inspiration
You did so much to strengthen the relation
I am not closing eyes or turn blind
I find you most lovely and very kind
I had promised full love and care
I find permanent refuge and prefer not to go anywhere
I from my heart love you deep
Promises I remember all and keep
You are always in mind and occupy
I enjoy it quietly and it really multiply
I keep my self busy and render service
I am working day and night like device
It is all for your well being and steady
Life must be on and must be ever ready
I am doyen for work and observe
I have earned the position and deserve
It is not mere gesture or symbolic
I prove it and stay as workaholic

Busy Old Fool
Standing at a corner unseen to us,
with his dreadful club
what a busy creature he is.
Always watching our every steps
following our every movements
Busy old fool!
Rich men he respect not
poor men no concern he show
philantropists he show no mercy
wicked men he strike too
No affection he show to the beautiful
The ugly he show no care
Bloodless fellow!
Some he killed with sickness
some passed away peacefully in sleep
Injured greatly in the metalic monster,
[plane crash and motors]
good bye they said to this world
Others, poisonous food they ate
and passed away
What a wicked being!
Not thinking of how we feel
Not considering how they would be missed
Not concerned with how good they are
He send them on an unreturned journey
What a heartless creature!
He's been performing his duty from the time immemorial
Countless has been sent away by him
No assistant he want
He doesn't think of retirement for once
What a workaholic fellow
Busy old fool!
He who must live must die
He who shall die must live
Death is certain, life is not.
