When Tornadoes Take Over The World

When tornadoes take over the world
There'll be no time for fretting
No fussing or complaining anymore
When tornadoes take over the world
You won't have your folks
To blame for all the stuff that's your fault
Your freinds will be swirling
Right above your disembodied head
When tornadoes take over the world
All the things in the fridge
That fell on the floor
Will dissapear
And all of your neighbors
Will be waving their flashlights at your house
Your friends will be swirling
Right above your disembodied head
When tornadoes take over the world.

Sonnet- The Aging World

Our earth is going bald, losing its trees!
The people turning greyer as years pass;
Tornadoes come often; there is no breeze!
The old citizens forming larger mass.

Just as in politics, older men thrive!
Despite brain-atrophy, they think a lot;
Eccentric demeanor keeps them alive;
As some have turned into a mere zealot.

The world employs old men, paying them less,
And tries to suppress younger men, women;
The aged look better off nevertheless!
I wonder if the same is in Heaven.

And Geriatrics is much sought a field;
The world is bothered not about to its yield.

It's That Time Of Year Again

It's that time of year again
When the leaves are on the ground
Swirling like little tornadoes
With out even making a sound

The friends come calling
From the distant past
We all seem to be aging
And it seems way too fast

The grass and weeds are dying
Soon they will all be brown
And before you even know it
Snow will be covering the ground

Farmers are harvesting the crops
And cleaning up their fields
Then soon enough they'll know
How much they have yeild

Hunters are hitting the bush
Hunting for that wild game
Some are looking for fresh meat
While others are hunting for fame

The wild turkey had better stay hid
Because Thanksgiving will soon be here
And as we think of our four-fathers
We'll toast them with a new cheer

Dreamworld

Every place I look my world is caving in and
Everything I touch falls to pieces-
I had never felt at home within the old brick house I grew up in and
Though only in my dreams I saw a tornado touch down and
Destroy this house and my family inside-
Clouds come and go and obliterate the sunlight and
Even though the sky is a stunningly picturesque shade of metallic blue-
Every place I look and everything I see-
I see no further than my mind's eye-
Inside of my mind tornadoes are touching down destroying
The essence of this world, clouds obstructing my line of vision and
The sun? Either hidden behind thunderclouds leaving me
Inside complete darkness of oblivion or so bright that its intense rays are blinding me?
The trees- yes, the trees are strong enough to stand the force of the wind-
Trees are my strength and the wonders of the world
I have always behind, always hidden behind and
In my most vivid fantasies have been my sorcerers and my protectors-
A tree shall never perish or be uprooted if I touch it and
I can be a bird, a squirrel or a monarch butterfly
If not just inside the place of my flight of the imagination -
Tornadoes may touch down, snow may fall and the sun may burn out but
By becoming a resident of the wild as my animal and reptile friends-
I can hide behind, inside of or just upon a limb looking down
At the glory and enchantment of the wilderness where
Nobody is cruel, nobody mocks or misunderstands me and
Then everyplace I look the sun will be shining but I shall
Adore the natural light it gives and stand beneath the shade of the tree
When that light becomes to intense to withstand-
Today the sky is that picturesque shade of metallic blue and
All signs of severe weather have disappeared?
I have resigned from reality and made myself a home in the backwoods
Amongst my plant and animal friends and I see no further than my minds eye
Which has dismissed the cruelness of the human world and
Tonight when the moon is full I shall sing a melodious tune with the nightingales and
Dance in celebration- celebration that I have come to realize that
Nobody has to tolerate being tortured and misunderstood-
Even if it is just resigning to one's land of their delusiveness-
There is always a place to run and a place where a person can make
A home for themselves as nobody deserves to live in pain - you can
Just close your eyes and imagine and your dreams shall carry you away…

My Foundations

A house is nothing
Without its foundations.
Just as much as
I am without my foundations.
Foundations hold everything together.
Safe, intact and ready for anything,
Ready for renovations,
Or in my case changes,
Ready for tornadoes,
Or in my case challenges,
Ready for earthquakes,
Or in my case very down days,
Foundations make things ready for life.
Without foundations
A house cannot be built,
Without a house.
A couple cannot make a family,
Without a family,
A home cannot be made,
And to me home is everything,
With my foundations,
I wouldn't have grown up in Guelph,
Without my foundations,
I wouldnt have had a perfect childhood,
Without my foundations,
I wouldn't have travelled across the world,
Without my foundations,
I wouldn't be who I am now,
Without my foundations,
My life wouldn't have so much love,
Without my foundations,
I would be nothing,
Just like a house is
Without its foundations.
I am proud and grateful,
To call my foundations,
My mother
And most of all my father.

When We Shall Meet Again

i have storms within my head
some thoughts are flown away and i am left with this usual emptiness
that scares me no more

must i tell you about it? i won't
i know that you too have tornadoes inside your guts
and i may prolong it with my own agonies

to each his own, to suffer and then to be redeemed again
by the strength of our silence

when the calm day comes when we all walk with dignities intact
perhaps we shall meet each other with a smile

we sit upon a chair beside a round table facing the far horizon
and we tell ourselves, 'oh we have traveled this far
and we know we are still doing well'

and then we sip our hot coffees and partake with our cookies
over a very cold evening.

Unstained Melody

UNSTAINED MELODY
There sits a bright face unclouded steady and serene
Under the glorious sun, blue sky, and earthly scene
Fearing no hail, no tornadoes, and the stormy seas.
With music to the ears played by the passing breeze.
A head crowned with honor dignity and an amazing grace,
High above the fragrance belt, an elevated elegant place.
So virtuous a title, to be worthy of a name and fame.
As the journey sees its end. a prestigious prize to claim.
Waving a smile at the remains that will certainly be,
A beauteous fleet, moved over the waves so masterly!

Colossal Youth

If you think the world is
A machine with one cog
And that cog is you,
Or the things that you do
Then you are not in this world
The world is not you
If you think the world
Is a balloon in your head
When it goes bang only
You will be dead
cos you are not in this world
The world is not you
If you think the world lies
At the top of your legs
And you only live when you are in bed
Then you are not in this world
The world is your head
If you think the world is
A clutter of existence
Falling through the air
With minimal resistance
You could be right, how would I know?
Colossal youth is showing the way to go

Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Syrup, Chocolate Cup

chocolate milk, chocolate syrup, chocolate cup
when im putting in chocolate syrup i put too much
i wish i had a chocolate pup in a chocolate cup
in a chocolate world!

but that would be alot to eat
for just one little girl!

if chocolate was a talent
Id be the chocolate master!
chocolate storms and tornadoes are natural chocolate disasters!

there would be chocolate houses and chocolate apartments and chocolate hotels for rent!
People eating chocolate all day without paying a single cent!
All their money would be in chocolate banks w chocolate robbers
Chocolate dinners like chocolate spaghetti and chocolate covered lobsters!

Chocolate chocolate chocolate BOOO!

Safe And Sound

(Carly SimonJacob Brackman)
Strange times in Portland, Maine
Lobsters dancing on the dock
Switzerland's been wierd since they unplugged the clocks
Man and a woman living in Brooklyn Heights
Each convinced that the other is in the wrong
Last year the divorce rate trippled in Hong Kong
If through all the madness
We can stick together
We're safe and sound
The world's just insode out and upside down
Flash from Mexico...the tornadoes have all turned gay
Roman whores have quit to seek a better way
Dope has undermined the morale of the Buckingham Palace guards
Motorcycle gangs ride naked down Hollywood Boulevard
If through all the madness
We can stick together
We're safe and sound
The whole world's just turned insode out and upside down
Marahaj wants you to lead a pilgrimage to Tibet
New York women want me sounding off like a Suffragette
I know that each of us is alone in the end
But the trip still feels less dangerous when you've got a friend
If we stick together
You and me forever
We're safe and sound
The world's just turned inside out and upside down
The world's just turned insode out and upside down

At the Pond

As I looked around the pond
I see people playing in the snow
Laughing and throwing snowballs at each other
Making snow angles with great pride
Children sledding down the hill as if flying

As I look on the pond
I see people skating
Skating like soaring eagles
Twirling like tornadoes
But graceful as a ballerina dance

As I look around the pond
I see a people having fun
Enjoying themselves
Helping each other as if they were their little sister
I see a peaceful and fun world

But I
I am having no fun
No fun at all
For I am sitting on the bench
Sitting on the bench like a lost dog
For I am cripple

We Pray for you Mother Earth

I pray for you Mother Earth right down to your center core,

I will fill your heart with light pink to know that you are loved,

From all the living creatures from up above

Yes, we all need to hold hands and send love your way

We pray for you each and every day.

Yes, we all pray for you that you feel our love,

We know you have the power to make hurricanes, tsunamis,
tornadoes

I hope you hear our prayers right down to your soul

And it makes you happy that we all love you…

And appreciate the world you have given us,

We are grateful and I hope you can trust that we

Will take care from above as well as below,

For we pray for you right down to the center core.

Wave The Old World Goodbye

Wave the old world goodbye
Its time to say hello to the new world
Praying it will be right
That the world may soon see the light
Ill be waving oh waving
And Ill be waiting
Sure the old folks have tried
But now its time for us in the new world
Pray that it will be right
That the earth dont turn out the lights
Wave the old world goodbye
Its time to say goodnight to the old world
Lets pray that it will be right
So the world will soon see the light
Ill be waving oh waving
And Ill be waiting oh waiting this night
Its time to say goodnight to the old world
Its time to say hello to the new world
And wave the old world goodbye
Ill be waving oh waving
And Ill be waiting oh waiting this night
Its time to say goodnight to the old world
Time to say to say hello to the new world
And wave the old world goodbye tonight

What We Are Really Trying To Achieve

what are we really trying
to achieve in a page?

it is like a room with all things
out of place,
towel on the floor, misplaced pen
in the bath tub
a cat inside the cabinet
behaving like
your skeletons,
your glass is on the window
like a crazy dog wanting to get out
from the frame,

what we have are misfits, pieces in chaos,
times interpolated, interlaced fabrics,
seemingly without a design
improprieties,

we have art, we put things in order
make them beautiful again
back to its ordered beginnings

in the midst of these storms
tornadoes that dispel our belief systems
we go back to work, back to art and
system,

we are tying to piece things
threads into a fabric of beauty
of thoughts in grace
of gentle dreams, of peaceful places

these are...and i
am.

I know you are out there

My days are passing by
My hairs are turning gray
I wait for you to come
On a blessed happy day
My smooth skin is wrinkling
Like a crumpled paper
My hopes are vanishing
Like camphor in the air
My beauty is fading
Like a drying up rose
My dreams are being shattered
By rebuff's tornadoes
It makes me hot-tempered
Like a lion of zoo
I know you are out there
Why don't you want me too?

Cant Get It Out Of My Head

By elo, as performed by fountains of wayne
Midnight, on the water
I saw the oceans daughter
Walking on a wave she came
Staring as she called my name.
And I cant get it out of my head
No, I cant get it out of my head
Now my whole world is gone for dead
cos I cant get it out of my head.
Breakdown, on the shoreline
Cant move, its an ebb tide
Morning dont get here tonight
Searching for her silver light.
And I cant get it out of my head
No, I cant get it out of my head
Now my whole world is gone for dead
cos I cant get it out of my head, oh no
Day job, in the city
Robin hood & william tell & ivanhoe & lancelot
They dont envy me
Sitting as the sun goes down
In dreams the world keeps spinning round & around
And I cant get it out of my head
No, I cant get it out of my head
Now my whole world is gone for dead
cos I cant get it out of my head.
No, I cant get it out of my head
No, I cant get it out of my head
Now my whole world is gone for dead
cos I cant get it out of my head, oh no
